Maiske smirked, happy to be out training once again. She was ready to get back into her flow of training, after the long travel from waterfall country, then to the leaf village, and then to here; The village of Mo. She needed to train in another release because it was the only way that she would be able to train in new techniques, complete missions better, and possibly even do a few battles. She smiled a wide grin, excited for what was to come. Today, she would be learning the fire release. She couldn't wait. Now... To find her mentor.
She walked for a while, in a pretty much secluded area that was free of trees. Why? She would be dealing with fire of course. Didn't want any forest fires. She jogged for a few meters and in the distance she spotted the figure of a man. She picked up her jogging pace and finally reached the man. He had jet black hair and eyes the color of emeralds. He had a strong built figure and appeared to be middle-aged. "Uhm.. Hi. Are you the one who is suppose to train me..?" she asked with a hint of curiosity. "Why yes, Maiske is it? My name is Genki and I have been dealing with the element of fire for many years now. It seems like it has been ages since I first started." he said.
The two talked for a while, question what they both knew. It was about 30 minutes later that they actually started talking about the element of fire. "So, you're ready to begin your fire training, eh? Well, you need to learn how to BE the fire. Spread your flames around, and burn a path of destruction. I am going to create a fire and I would like you to try and release your chakra around it and manipulate. The manipulation will most likely take time for you, but that is okay." he said, pulling a black lighter from his pocket. Maiske noticed it had a sand village symbol on it. He noticed her eyeing it. "I'm not from the sand village. I work on my own. A traveler. On my travels I bought this in the Village Hidden in the Sand." he said, adding onto her thoughts.
Genki flicked the lighter, creating a flame, while he gathered fallen branches and leaves. He lit a medium sized fire. ”So all I do is release my chakra in time with this fire and try and manipulate it?” she questioned. ”Yes, that would be correct, Maiske.” he answered. Maiske let her fingers surround the fire, careful not to get to close. Seeing as she had not learned this yet, she was still a novice at dealing with fire. She felt her chakra flowing out of her fingers and joining the fire. The fire only managed to quiver. She removed her hands, letting out a sigh in the process. She relaxed for a moment, breathing in and out. She then placed her hands against the fire once more.
”Ow!” she shouted, quickly removing her hands. She gazed at her finger which had turned an unpleasant shade of red. ”Oh, did you burn yourself?” Genki asked, quickly taking a roll of skinny bandage tape from his pocket. He tore off a piece and handed it to her. ”Here, put this on it, It might just help to ease your pain and to cover the wound.” he murmured, handing her the bandage. She placed it on her wound. ”Thanks…” she murmured.
