Personality !
Woo, we won! - The most noticable thing about Saeko's personality is that she is a never ending fountain of optimism. She has enough energy to power her entire team, should they be open to inspiration, and hard work. She is vocal when she is happy, shouting loudly, flailing her arms, most consider her to be quite an airhead. She is almost eternally happy, she is almost never in a bad mood, loves everyone, and gives everyone a fair chance to prove themselves.. even the enemy nations.
Pacifist - Saeko dislikes violence in any form, although she has grown to tolerate it over the years. While she does not condone it, she does not condem others entirely for it's use. In the world she lives in she understands it's applications and requirement. Unless she or her students are in direct danger, she will refrain from using her abilities in anyway that could be seen as harmful in her eyes, though friendly sparring and training are okay as well. She prefers to find a peaceful solution through words and compromise.
We have a job to do! - When she is not being silly off the field of battle, she can be quite determined. Rarely does one see her so stern, but there are times where even she realizes that her childish behavior is not helping a situation. She can easily swap to a more unsettling attitude where she takes command of whats going on around her. This is most commonly seen during a close call on the battlefield or a busy day at the Hospital. Not everything about her is always fun and games.
Could you repeat that again? GOMENASAI! - Most times she appears to be ditzy, unable to focus, and just plain ridiculous. This is just a deception she employs that causes those around her to believe she is less capable than she truly is. It usually works to her advantage with enemies as well as allies, hiding an incredibly sharp mind beneath a veil of stupidity. She will often turn bright red, apologize profusely, and space out at random moments. She is always listening, however, so one can never tell when she is sincerely being dumb.
You won't get away with this.. - Those who manage to provoke such a dark emotions from her are met with sheer terror. When one can make Saeko truly, absolutely mad, she is a sight to behold. Her face becomes void of that once bright smile she wears all the time, she becomes eeriely silent. She is relentless in her destruction, until the person who threatened her life, village, or allies lays dead on the ground. Even she cannot always control the darker side of human nature, thus although rare, she is prone to snap at times and have an extreme personality shift.
Appearance !
Saeko was always a fairly gorgeous woman, born with a head full of bright golden hair. She wears her hair long, almost down to the middle of her back. She has long bangs, usually held in check by the Stone Village forehead protector she wears. Her eyes are a bright golden colour, sort of like a chunk of amber reflecting the light from the sun, they can be quite entrancing to look at. At a glance one might also notice that she sports at least four piercings in each ear, three being located long the ridges. She has bright, pristine skin, that seems to have a natural glow to it of it's own. As a doctor it seems that she takes excellent care of herself, you would never know that she had seen a battlefield or any sort of combat.
Saeko is a fairly tall, slightly thick woman who can carry it all very well. She has a naturally fair skin tone, most likely from spending alot of time couped up in doors. Her hands and fingers are long, slender, and known to be graceful and gentle when performing surgery. It is as if she is a precise surgical machine, some might say. Her body is well sculpted from years of training as a Shinobi, while she has no incredibly obvious muscle tone, upon a closer inspection one can notice it's presence. The most noticeable feature of this medic however at a glance is her large bust. While they are at times a source of being teased, they obviously aid her as well, mostly as a form of comic relief. Along her ribs, she has two full tattoo's from armpit to waist that depict an event that happened to her as a child, so she never forgot. A war between Shinobi in a foreign land that ended in bloodshed, her being orphaned.
Her clothing changes based on one key thing, location. When she is in the hospital she wears the standard black Shinobi shirt and pants, however with a white lab coat on over it all and heeled Shinobi boots. When she is in the field with her team or simply not working she wears the same undershirt and pants, Shinobi boots, and her flack jacket on top. One sleeve of her shirt in this attire is a short sleeve, while the other is a long flowing sleeve that covers her left hand. Tied about her waist is a long, flowing peice of fabric that wraps about her legs like a skirt, but is open slightly in the front up to her thighs to allow movement. As mentioned before, her forehead protector is worn on her forehead, so that it is immediately able to be seen where she comes from.
History !
Saeko was not truly born in Tsuchigakure, her family took a leave of absence to a foreign, Non-Ninja, nation for a bit of well deserved rest. She was actually born in the River Country, where everything was suppose to be safe. However one night while the happy couple took their new, bouncing toddler for a late night stroll, war would find them anyway. A small scale shinobi spilled into their path, catching both parents unaware as they were slaughtered in the crossfire. Saeko miraculously survived being stuck by a kunai simply because the stroller she was in fell on it's side. There she was left all night, however she didn't seem to cry or truly understand why she was no longer moving. In the morning, she was found, along with her parents bodies. Finding the headbands, they figured they would ship the child home to the nation she belonged to, where she was taken in by the current Tsuchikage and placed into an orphanage.
Life as an orphan was not entirely bad for the girl, she was well looked after despite the mild emotional negelct of her care givers. However they could not seem to deal with the fact that she was highly intelligent, the fact that she loved to disect things to figure out how they did such miraculous things. Many thought she would grow up to become some sort of monster due to her fascination, however when she entered the academy her real talents were discovered quite early on. She had excellent chakra control for a girl her age, a love for science, and a bleeding heart that felt the need to coddle, heal, and nurse everything back to health. As such, the Sensei at the academy built upon her medical skills, as well as teaching her the basics that every other child there learned. It was not long before she would breeze through graduation and become a Genin.
From there her life became mundane, long days in the field doing physical exercises, long nights at the hospital learning chakra control. However they never accounted for her raw ability, she took everything she was taught and molded it into something she understood, improving upon the overal design of her techniques slightly. She was radiant, full of life, and very expecting of the world around her. This lasted right up until the time she was ready to be sent to the Chuunin exams with her squad. That was where the rose tinted glasses would come off, she would see this world for what it truly was; chaos, death, destruction. As all the Genin fought for their life, country, and title she realized that this was an incredibly flawed system. She would watch as her teammates died around her, it was only due to her resourcefulness that she managed to survive alone until the final round where she no longer required a team.
That single event however remained with her well into adulthood, all the needless bloodshed she witnessed for no reason other than advancement. It was where her alternate personality first developed, her ditzy, spaced out persona. This was her coping mechanism, something that would serve her well as a Chuunin medical Ninja, part of a new squad once more. To those around her she feigned a sort of false optimism, always happy, cheerful, and absent minded. Yet in her mind she was trapped in the vortex of disgust for the world around her. She sought to change things, change the natural order of the world. It was not until she met Yui Kikkawa that she was even sure that it was possible to find a light in this dark world of violence. However Yui taught her that even her small battlefield efforts could stem the tide, especially if she helped wounded enemies as well as allies. Her taught her that there was room for compassion.
Saeko would go on to achieve many great feats, most noteably saving over thirty Shinobi during a large border skirmish. Through sheer determination alone she managed to police and heal most of the shinobi herself. She saved alot of lives that day, recieving several 'medals' and alot of recognition amongst her peers. Even the Tsuchikage seemed to take notice of her, which was when he saw fit to grant someone such as her the title of Jounin. Not only did she save her peers, she put herself in harms way right in the middle of a warzone to make sure everyone came back. That was a true soldier, patriot, and one he saw was a must have amongst the other leaders of her generation. She took on this new role, despite it once more being earned through bloodshed, as a means to teach new generations of Shinobi, to stem the tide of hatred.
