Valerys walked through the Land of Wind using the face of one of her personalities, #03, to disguise herself as she walked -- knowing from experience that even her in the Land of Wind she was not safe in her usual face. She had collected all of her necessary equipment, gear, and weaponry, and was wearing the normal blue attire that #01 liked to wear. Soon she was making her way up north, dealing with the desert winds for some distance before showing up along the river which she knew could take her to the Land of Earth. She had a lot to do on this mission, and she didn't know how many destinations she would have to go to, but was excited to begin here.

As she flagged down one of the fishermen, she charmed him into giving her a ride down the river and to the Land of Earth -- not really all that far away. They had to pass through the Land of Bear, which relatively easy, and they bathed under the sun and chewed odd grasses as they made their way down the river lazily. #01 enjoyed her time in the warmth and relaxing atmosphere, but it soon came to an end as the river finally started to mvoe into more rocky terrain. Suddenly, #01 thought that she could make out mountains on either side up ahead. It was truly a beautiful sight, and indicated that they were very close.

Soon the river had brought them through the mountains and deposited #01, Valerys within her mind, into the Land of Earth. She looked around at the familiar terrain and said, "Huh. Just as I left it..."

Having arrived in the Land of Earth, #01 looked at the mountain range and let out a long, thoughtful sigh. She was glad to finally be here, grabbing all of her things and leaving the boat and her captain. It had been nice and relaxing, but now the real fun was about to begin.

Having made it to the Land of Earth and spending just a brief reprieve in her safe haven, Valerys remained in the face of #01 as she traveled throughout the landscape. It had not been a complete bust, as Valerys had met up with some civilians throughout the country, but she hadn't been able to do any training -- the whole reason that she had gone on this voyage in the first place. So she gathered her things and got on a boat at the Bay of Dharma. Around the docks she felt like she was back at her old home, and was able to flag down a small group of men and convinced them to bring her along with them out to sea and to the Land of Sound.

Their voyage did not take long, the men were well suited for travel and were used to the art of shipping. They circled around the unknown territory which split the Land of Waterfall and Sound, coming in from the other side. Their trip felt good, out among the sea breeze and light waves with the sun clear as could be. Soon the ship was coming in to land on the north side of the Land of Sound. Valerys was able to look out and see it from a couple of miles off coast, noting the grass fields and usual small villages that dotted the landscape. She prepared herself as they got closer, her weapons and messenger pack on her side for easy access.

I'll train as fast as I possibly can, Valerys promised herself, And get back to the Senpu Dojo. There is still so much to do. And with that on her mind, Valerys made it into the Land of Sound as their ship docked, getting off and preparing herself for the tasks ahead.

Having learned much from her master Alfonso in the Land of Sound, Valerys prepared herself to go back to the Land of Wind where she could attend to some business at her dojo, even if she did have other places that she still needed to go this would be a brief stop. As she was thinking about the best way to get there, Valerys eventually decided to find her good friend and ferryman Charon to take her down the river to the Land of Wind. She found him a short ways down the river, drinking and gambling with some buddies. Valerys joined in for a little while before whole crew took their journey. Charon was more than happy to take her, interested in her stories and company.

The boat passed through the Land of Fire, a familiar sight to Valerys as she had taken this trip many times. The men and her cut up and played foul games as they traveled, drinking a lot and betting money they did not have. It was good for a while, but Valerys liked to take time to herself and sit below the stars. She would stare at them most nights as they passed through the Land of Fire and eventually as they began to lead into the Land of Rivers. Here they took many twisting turns around various obstacles and shallow rivers. They stopped only briefly for food and trade goods. Some of the men stopped along the way, soon it was only Charon and Valerys who made it to the Land of Wind.

As the river found its way into the country, Valerys had Charon take her further in for a short distance before getting ashore. "Thank you for the pleasant trip once again," Valerys said. Charon told her to forget it and got on with his boat, going back up the river and to his place among whatever country he decided. In many ways, she envied his freedom.

Having returned to the Land of Wind, Valerys gathered her things and headed for her home and her familiar dojo. It wouldn't take her long to get going in that direction, prepared for all of the stuff that she had to do.

Having purchased several goods from one of the local shops in the Land of Wind, Akumu continued his voyage of self-discovery which he and Valerys had agreed was past due. He had finally decided to travel out on his own, having become stronger than he once was, and was tasked with seeking out a master and exploring the surrounding countries. Safely. Starting off in the middle of the desert, Akumu would use the Transformation Jutsu to take on the appearance of a young boy with black hair dressed in simple clothing, walking through the sandy desert and hoping to pick out a community or settlement that had some form of transportation.

After two days walking the desert and using his animal-like survival skills to get by, he saw a group of rogue people moving through the desert in carts and buggies. He caught a ride with them through the desert for a while before the group stopped by one of the rivers and spoke to one of the ferryman. Akumu was quiet the whole time, but the men got off on the young boy who would not speak. They took him along in the ship and kept an eye on them, making sure that they would not hurt him. Although they got already they were not dangerous to him. Soon enough the ship took off in the direction of the Land of Earth and Akumu checked to make sure that his money was still in his pack that Valerys had given him.

For another day the ship traveled toward the Land of Earth but soon enough it docked and Akumu had arrived. Looking around as he exited the boat, the group said goodbye to him and he went off in an attempt to locate one of the special shops that Valerys had told him about. But that was only part of his overall mission.

Having made it to the Land of Earth safely thanks to the group that he had met along the desert, Akumu departed from them without a word and headed out into the rocky and cavernous area on his own. He knew that he needed to continue with Valerys' orders and find what he had been sent to locate. He headed off in the direction of a shop for rare books, and hoped that he might also discover a master along this voyage.

Akumu had finally found the rituals that Valerys had sent him to find in Soseki, a city in the Land of Earth with a secret scroll shop that his Lady had told him about. Now, it was late in the day and his mission here had been accomplished. He decided that it was time to take on his human form, that of a child with black hair and a white-black t-shirt, and started walking toward the river that he knew would run him from Earth to the Land of Wind. The sun was bright, but not as hot as in the desert and his walk was graced with a calm breeze. He thought about Valerys' second request as he walked, that he find a master as well, but unfortunately he was unsuccessful in those endeavors and would have to try again later. Right now it had been and Valerys needed the items he had found.

After a couple hours of walking, Akumu saw the river uphead through a gorge and several small outcroppings of rock. Although he didn't speak common, he was able to find a small boat near the water that someone had docked and cut the string -- floating away with it down the surface of the river quietly. It was just a small wooden boat but it would do fine for a short trip down the river. It took several days for the river to reach further past the Land of Earth and into the Land of Bear as the ship floated lazily across the surface of the water. The sun and the shade from the surrounding trees began to keep Akumu kept, and he kept his precious cargo safe inside of his assault pack which he buried in the bottom of the boat. When his transformation was up, Akumu would fly into the sky for a little while before lighting back down to the boat.

Once the Land of Bear was past him, Akumu sailed into the Land of Wind and remembered his home country. The desert grew progressively as he got further into the country, and he was pleased with the familiar scent. He took the bottom further into he was able to dock far in the desert and make his moves to find his partner -- Valerys Kedoin -- and to finally deliver the goods.

The river wound its way close to the Senpu Dojo and Akumu began to make his way off the water, heading out into the desert and in search of his Lady with all of the items in his pack. Glad to be back home.

Shihana walked outside the Sand Village and waited to see if Isamu would arrive before heading off to register for the Chuunin Exams. She wore her usual black and white dress, which covered her down to her knees, and had her white hair up in a ponytail -- her familiar black strand floating on the left side. She wore her messenger pack, filled with all of her gadgets and items for the exams, and her spear, Bitter Mercy, on her back. A butt bag was strapped underneath her dress as well. A Sand Village headband was strapped around her forehead, which was a bit unusual since she often didn't wear it for formal gatherings. She had only walked a short distance from the city and was moving at a slow, methodical pace -- sure that her partner would catch up soon.

As she walked she thought about the hot sun, and how awful it would have been for other travelers in these conditions. Shihana on the other hand seemed unaffected as she prepared to make her way toward the coastline and flag a ship to the Land of Claw. She had lived in the desert for a long time. As she walked, Shihana scanned the horizon for anything that might have been out of the ordinary but all she saw were a few snakes and the occasional palm tree. She wondered when they could get on with their journey and complete the next step in their mission.

Isamu was flying high above the desert letting the sun bake into him. The Genin spotted Shihana walking down below and descended to meet her. Isamu was wearing the same thing he always wore on missions. A cream colored cloak covered his tactical vest and black t-shirt. Isamu had formed a gourd filled with sand on his back. Isamu's utility belt and butt pack were fastened around the waist of his desert khaki pants. On his left hip Isamu wore his sword and on his left arm he wore his melody arm. Isamu was loaded out with all of his equipment. The exams were a complete unknown and he was not planning to leave anything behind that might help him.

The sight would be very familiar to Shihana by now. Isamu took a moment to ponder what it was that differentiated the two shapeshifters. Shihana seemed to relish changing her appearance, but for Isamu it seemed like a chore. It felt easier to just slip unconsciously into his familiar form. After exchanging pleasantries with the Kazekage, Isamu checked his compass and continued to the ship they had chartered for Claw.

The ship that chartered them was rather small, a galley that met them at port, and there were a few good sailors on board who agreed to give a ride in exchange for labor. Shihana had no problem working on the decks and for the days that it took to the Land of Claw she tried to lose herself in the work. She was familiar with sailors and the shipyards from her years before the Sand Village, so she spent many nights making bets and laughter with the crew. As they approached the Land of Claw, and the forested volcano of that small nation loomed in the distance, Shihana suddenly began to change. She was shorter now. Her hair would turn an electric blue along with her eyes. Now her hair was up in pigtails and bound with two hair ties, and she wore an entirely new wardrobe. Now she wore a dress that was white around the torso, but turned into a flitting, blue and pink skirt around the bottom. Her arms were covered in bracers of black and gold, and a pink bow was laced around her collar. A blue bow tie around her neck. The Sand Village headband was still wrapped around her forehead.

Selyse turned to Isamu with a sweet chuckle, assuming that they'd have a moment to stand together and look out over the sea as the island nations grew larger. It was a face that he should have remembered from their mission into the drug den. "Well, if you want to do anything else before the exams," she said, "now would be the time." And she laughed again as she twirled at the tip of one of her pigtails (that she had to pick up because it fell almost below her knees) with her playful finger.
