Support Issue: Basic Rules The Issue: Say I rack up enough TP to become a S ranked Genjutsu specialist or ninjutsu master, I would have 10 natural will save. If I need to roll a will save of 10, would I automatically succeed? Link:
If you have 10 will saves and the difficulty is also 10, to fail you have to roll 1; that's an automatic fail and super unlucky. Roll anything apart from 1 and you succeed.
Also, if you have something like 5 will saves and the difficulty is 40. If you roll 20, that's an automatic pass, that's super lucky.
So, say for some reason or other I end up with 10 natural will save, is that additive to the roll? If we take the example in the first post, if I have 10 natural will save and need a roll of 10 or higher, is my natural will save additive to the roll, say, in the event of a roll of 3, would my result be 13 and therefore accomplish the roll?
I understand the roll, the crux of my question(s) is about the natural will save, what does it do if not help the roll?

The DC of a Jutsu, will be a number based on an array a factors. Let's say in this case it will be 35.
Your natural resistance in this case is 10.
Every will check will allow for the one resisting the jutsu to roll a d20. Whatever number you get from that roll will be added to your natural resistant. In this case nothing you roll will get you the extra 25 you need. HOWEVER, rolling 20 is a automatic success.
Conversely, if you have a natural resistance of 35, and DC of the jutsu is 35. You can roll anything and pass the Check. HOWEVER, if you roll a 1, it is a critical fail regardless of your Natural resistant.
Your resistance is the base, the roll adds on to the base. The higher your natural resistant the easier it become to pass checks.
