As the ninja approach they will see a new building right next to the Raikage tower. This building is reserved for formal events and useable by the Raikage. The light colored brick building is covered with pink roses, climbing the sides of the building and overtaking the walls, nearly concealing the stained glass windows.



The rose ballroom is the official ballroom of the Hall of Roses. Scattered tables and chairs line the back of the room and the walls. Two doors are found at the back of the ballroom which serve as the entrances and exits. The front of the room is a sweeping stair case with marble railings carved into the shapes of roses and vines. On the second floor there are changing rooms and bathrooms, even a lounge for more relaxing features.

Lady Kotomi would exit the grounds of her tower with a gait that exuded an aura of alienation and seclusion. The bane of her actions followed her like a hobbling shadow, as Kotomi walked the dirt path home from the splendor of her tower. Torment followed the young woman endlessly, as she knew not of any method to vent the frustration and disappointment, that ate away at her heart. No one was their to counsel her, no one would know that she was in such a state due to her inability to outwardly express herself. No one was their for her in general.
A dark piercing pain ravanged the woman's heart, yet she would never be able to show this to others, nor express this pain verbally.

Kotomi would contiue to walk in a state of disarray until her eyes fell upon a building, she had not taken notice of before. The ivory structure was laced in elegancy and exquisiteness. Such a building took the young woman's mind off her current state of being, and gave her the opportunity to focus her mind elsewhere.

With a turn of her heel, the young medic would turn about in position, and begin to walk towards the structure. Mere minutes would pass like seconds as Kotomi entered the building and found herself amongst a gathering of villagers. They toiled away it seems, perparing for some sort of event. Kotomi of course would remain silent, as the workers quickly took their eyes of their work to refocus them onto the kage.

"She's here earlier then we expected" said the voice of one man in the distance.
"I guess we'll carry on with the plans then?" replied another.

Oblivious, Kotomi contiued to mind her own business as she looked in and about this curious structure. Being caught off guard while examining the building, the kage would be confronted by a group of 3 woman.

"M'Lady" said one elderly woman.
"You are here early! Come come, we need to dress you now..."

Kotomi was again puzzled, but remained silent through and through as she was curious to know what these woman meant.
With the tugging and pulling of their hands, the young woman would be whisked away to a back room, where she would be stripped down and given a change of clothing. In moments, the woman would be changed in to an outfit, she did not expect to wear...

"May I ask why you have brought me here, and have bound me to such odd attire?" asked the kage, as her silence broke for the first time while in the building....

I arrived outside the hall of roses and smiled. I was finally here in the beautiful light brick building. I looked over the flower studded building and smiled. I loved it, it was my soul symbolized in stone and flowers. My heart strings pulled as I thought of the deceased Himiko to whom I gave the flower which I wore in my hair. No I could not think of such things now. I had a bit of work to do to annoy the elders before I entered the Hall of Roses for whatever point and purpose I did not know. Thus I would return to the desolate life of a ninja once more before I could give myself time for pleasure.

Once more I would perform the set of hand seals as I pressed my chakra into the earth. Here is where things would get tricky. I was going to mold the earth precisely, so precisely that it would be perfect. There was no hit or miss here I would succeed. End of story. My chakra pressed into the soil and my eyes closed, I slowly began to shape the earth, working first in the rough before going into detail. The earth was mine I didn’t need to fit its restriction it needs to fit mine. Thus I would begin my work, isolating a section of the earth, much more than I needed so I could work from there.

Slowly I began to shrink down the section of isolated earth, breaking chunks of here and there, all while not being able to see my work, my minds eye saw it for me. Slowly it was beginning to take shape. A rough outline was being produced in the shape of a female form, clothed of course; I wanted a work of art but nothing crude. The sections I separated became smaller and smaller making it intricate work but worthwhile in my opinion. I don’t care what the elders say but Kotomi Inohara was the best of the best and I would tribute her that.

Larger details would begin to take place, my work was exhausting but fulfilling. The curves of the body came to life, the definition between her legs would be clear; her arms were sculpted perfectly, folded over her chest with a book between them. Perhaps it was the glasses but I pictured her to be a book worm. Her upturned face and hair were more difficult but I worked relentlessly to make it perfect. I was so close now all I had left was the small details that would bring life to the piece of art. The hollowed out glasses, the eyes on her upturned face, the small lines in her hands and hair that would make it all alive.

I smiled as I worked to bring the statue of solid rock from the ground. It was beautiful, a pedestal and all. If the elders tried to bring it down I would simply make a new one. They’d have to take away my position to stop me. With a smile upon my face I would enter the hall of roses. “You’re late m’lady you must get changed!” An ANBU dragon woman ushered me into a room despite my protests. “Late for what?!” I demanded, she at least would have to give me answers.

“The masquerade ball to announce the change in kage-ship m’lady. Your clothes are all laid out for you and I will tend your hair!” Without much choice I would be forced into garments I would never wear. My hair would be died mostly purple with only a few silver streaks remaining and a mask would be placed over my face. I didn’t even recognize myself. Nearly sheer and highly lacy black sleeves were placed upon my arms, hiding the scars of my rituals, trapping my butterflies as well insane face paint was dabbed upon my lips and eyes. THIS would certainly be interesting.

Enter the Mask.

Soft foot falls would be broken by the noises of crutches that he would toss aside after reaching the entrance. He would deal with the pain hidden behind his orange mask. He took a deep breath as the doors were opened before him. He would begin to walk through the doors on his own, the muscles still ached but it wouldn't stop him from moving, a slight limp was within view as he protected his right leg a bit. It was convenient that he wasn't wearing those weights for this, they would be killing his legs. As he looked around at the marvelous new attraction he would wonder exactly what this was about tonight. To dress up so brilliantly, to hide one's appearance he would wear clothes that weren't of his own closet. A little splurge of ryo didn't harm his pocket that was for sure. The black buckled jacket with gold trim would keep him rather extravagant, the mask a bit off but none the less the single eye whole would add to his fun identity.

Society is a Flaw within Life.

As he would find himself within the soon to be filled dance hall he would wonder who all would arrive at this dance. He was told by his Teacher this was mandatory to be here for. He understood that something big was going to happen, but wasn't completely sure what, though for now he would look to enjoy his evening, tomorrow he would report officially to the Raikage, if not seen tonight. He needed to fill in his own words to this report. Also the payment of ten thousand ryo isn't bad either. Mokona would grin a bit behind the mask as his pockets would be filled with his hands, covered in white gloves. This night the rich would live with the poor, hold hands and join grace, for behind these masks true identities are hidden from those around one another. A romance could form, a bond could be broken, all because the faces of sight were hidden and obscured something that humanity grasped too tightly to in their run of life.

The Appearance.

I would run up to the building with my normal outfit on, like requested on the invitation, having left all my ninja tools and ryo at home but carrying a fresh new set of close I’d managed to save up just for this occasion. Being greeted into the building as I showed my invitation, I would make my way to the changing room and change into my new outfit, leaving my old clothes in a locker within the changing room.

The invitation specifically asked all participants to wear a mask and an outfit unlike the normal one you’d normally wear so that nobody would know who was who, leaving new friendships to be made easily. And as quick as a three legged turtle with one eye, I’d finish changing into the black and white apparel complete with a red tie and putting on my white and black mask to cover my face, leaving only my blue eyes to peer out from inside the mask.

I walked out into the main room to find that there where plenty of people I didn’t know… or at least I didn’t know who they where. I quickly wondered if I’d meet someone I knew, but I realized that it would be unlikely that I would recognize them even if I ran straight into them. So there would be only one solution, I’d have to simply meet people who I didn’t know… I was intimidated by the formality of the party but would muster up my courage as I spoke quietly to myself.

“Alright, let’s do this.”

"What are you talking about Lady Kotomi?" replied the woman, as she put the last finishing touches on the kage's attire. For the most part, Kotomi's dressings were relatively bland and mundane. She wore her Kage uniform and hat for the duration of her reign, and would be rarely seen without the garb. On the occasions in which she wore her everyday attire, it would consist of a simple dress, mesh and tight pants, common for ninja and medics for the cloud village. Being in such a glamorous outfit was indeed an oddity.

"This entire event today is in regards to you stepping down from you Raikage hood. That, and we are here to address the new kage whom shall take your place" the woman carried on.

Kotomi would pause and remain in a state of shock, to say the least. Only a few hours would have passed since she left her tower. She was neither informed of such actions, nor given any inclination that she was to step down.

"How can this..." replied the kage before she was hastily interrupted by the woman.
"Now now dear, its time to go out and address your village. We are very happy for what you did, and have accepted the decline. Make our village happy once more dear!" said the elderly woman once again, as she prevented the kage from responding, and quickly hurried the young woman outdoors to the main hall. Before Kotomi knew it, her clothing was taken away, and she would be left to fend for herself in a situation she knew nothing of.

Her best option was of course, to gather information now. She would do so, by starting off with a young who stood awkwardly before her, some 3 meters into the main hall (Kiyoshi). Kotomi would approach the young man, and take notice of the building filling with guests. In the course of a few steps, the kage would now stand before the young man's side.

"Excuse me" she would ask.
"What is the meaning of all this?"

(OOC = I don't think there's a post order... as it'd be fairly add to have an event like this done in a posting order across the entire event. (I will edit/erase my post if I'm wrong though...))

"Excuse me" As I simply stood there, a beautiful lady with her face covered in a green feathery mask would walk up to me and ask me a question suddenly. "What is the meaning of all this?" I turned towards her and paused a moment for two reasons; the first being that I had to think of the question and a suitable reply and the second being that I would swear that I'd heard that voice before... I replied to her question, making sure not to seem pressured by the high-class event. "I'm actually not sure, I was sent an invitation to this masquerade and couldn't resist coming... curiosity got the best of me I guess."

I couldn't help but think about it now, what was the reason for the event... and why on earth would anyone invite me?!? I could tell that something was weird, a high class event without a real focus and they invited me of all people. "It is rather strange actually..." My thoughts ran into my mouth and it was only after a brief second that my mind would kick itself. 'Gah! Kiyoshi! What the hell are you doing?!? There's a beautiful lady standing right in front of you, who actually started a conversation with you, and you're going to let your mind wander off now?!?'

I'd stop thinking about a possible reason for the event and work on talking. "Err... This is an amazing building isn't it?" The question would be directed towards the person I was currently speaking to as I attempted to hide my awkwardness. "I've never even noticed it's existence, even though I pass right by it on my way to the Raikage Tower quite often." It wasn't grade A opening conversation material, but it was the best I could come up with at the moment...

[Takeuchi]

The Uchiha had stopped off at the Machiko Manor before the Ball's invitation being there. It was there that he also had the perfect outfit and chanced, tucking the gilded card into his breast pocket. His mask was no grand thing, a simple white thing covering his occular area, even hiding his eyes from view. As he was nearing the designated building he saw something just outside it, a large stone statue of the Lady Kotomi. Before such a monument the reptilian man stopped and bowed before moving to the building and plucking a single rose.

Giving his invitation at the door the man refused the offer to take his cape and hat and walked in. Flesh seemed smooth as a smear free makeup adorned his skin to hide the Tokagekuran scales. The man would enter the hall in what could be considered a grand manner only to find very few people present. A woman and two other men were present, all wearing formal clothing and masks. He was not out of place in this party and walking in on the quiet place lips parted and words spoken in a tone unlike his normal voice to those there.

"Well, seems like I'm early."

The female was speaking with one of the other males and the other male was on his own. He made no effort to hide the noise of his steps as he walked to a table and poured himself some punch. Taking a sip of the beverage the the male looked about, rolling the rose he had picked between his fingers. Would he be able to recognize Kana when she appeared? He hoped that was the case, for she was the one he wished to see most in such attire. Bringing the rose to his nose the man took a wiff and looked about the room, perhaps he would speak to someone soon.

The Epicness

There was only utter silence when he first arrived. Nothing more than his meer footsteps outside of the Hall of Roses in which he was venturing into. He was dressed in a tuxedo with a pair off Glasses on. He would hide his identity. It was a fun little game to him. He quickstepped inside to see how everyone else had looked. A calm sense of tranquility was felt as he walked into the Hall. He entered a large room where things were supposed to start off. He looked around the large room filled with very pretty chairs and a gleeming chiandalier above them. He would look around to notice if he sees someone. He did of course. A man with a white mask that only covered his eyes as well as a beautiful cape. He decided it was time for small talk with the man.

He strutted over to him. As he entered the door in which he had first spotted the man he had noticed another woman talking to a man. He himself was very young. Being only 13 he seemed like a baby next to the man he was about to talk to. THe thing was, he himself was very mature for his age. Sophisticated in the way of life. He even would bow before talking to the man with the white mask. His eyes not visible behind his glasses. He had also styled his hair completely different today. It being spiked backwards instead of the usual hanged position it is in. He would finally walk up to the punch table where the man stood and take a cup and fill it with some punch himself. He spoke in a very casual tone to the man.

Hello sir. IT's a fine day today. Is it not?"

He had even changed his own persona. To himself he thought he was a totally different person. Sort of more a gentleman than the usual barbaric brute he is. He had taken a more intillectual tone than usual. He waited for the man to speak to him.

And thus Kana would take the floor. There would be no announcements for the time, only some mingling and the like, the announcement would be around the time of midnight. She was unrecognizable in her garb. Everything from purple hair to blue contacts had the woman decked out in extravagence. It wasn't exactally her cup of tea bue she was givin little choice.

Her eyes, hidden in blue, would scan the hall, looking for signs of Kotomi-sama. She truly needed to know what was going on but none would speak of it. As if it were a subject considered taboo. With a sigh she found herself a glass of champagne and sipped it form her niche in one of the walls. She was not mingling or speaking, simply observing. Her eyes watched as people slowly filtered in, their costumes masking their true identities.

She never focused on one person for more than a second. Her eyes skipped here and there as she took in the wondrous festivity displayed before her. As pretty as it all was she wished it was over with, she wished for time to speak with Lady Kotomi so she could know what was going on. She sighed and turned away from the door to look about the rest of the room. Various ANBU hid in the corners, their masks the same as always with their souless gaze.

Music was playing through the hall, through what means none knew. It would be an ineresting night indeed.

A Wicked Smile.

So it would begin as the blue ocular nerve recorded down information to his neural sensors. Mokona would view the beginning of the entrances by many, a few extravagant looking, a few less then worthy but still the attempt would deserve the silent applause of onlookers. The interaction seemed weak at first as a woman would finally approach one of the entrances, she seemed beautiful, but oddly familiar it would tick in his head as he would shift his weight to gain a better understanding he would wince behind the spiraled mask. Those bandages remained on, but hidden beneath his gloves, and other articles of clothing. With careful observation one would be seen in the distance, a female with beautiful purple hair. He would make his approach for now, knowing that it would be too out of his personality to not approach a beautiful girl, the smile of his past on his face as he chuckled a bit to himself. As he would approach his right hand would extend to the girl before his words would reach her ears. "May I have this dance," in reference to the music playing in the background, though formal dances were never his specialty he would love to take the risk of his own chances.

As he would wonder how she could respond his eye would take note of the ANBU in the room, how foolish for him to think they would actually try and hide their masks. Those cold gazes of the porcelain masks would alert that Lady Kotomi was within this room, those masks would forever be unforgettable. His eye would quickly return to the beautiful girl whom he had approached, almost instantly he had scanned the room, now it was to scan her wondrous sight.

Costume: Here. NB! The white linings are silver on Mariis costume. Also, the sash is knit in a bow.

Mask: Here. NB! Not white, but black.

Marii entered the ballroom with a small scowl on her face. She had not really intended to go here, but considering she would be the clan head in the future, this was something the female had to get used to sooner or later.
Her hair had been dyed in a silver colour with small, black streaks that matched her ice blue eyes and ivory skin perfectly. The hairdye would only last for a hairwash or two at max. Also, the Chuunin had grown her hair a bit longer with kami enchou and put it up in a spiky ponytail (like Anko's from Naruto, just a tad bit longer).
She did not weared much make-up though; just some powder and a pale, deep red lipstick. 'Hm...there are a lot of people here' thought the girl and looked around; most of them seemed to be guys anyways. Suddenly, she saw two people that stood close to each other; it looked like they were talking with each other. The fake silver-haired female decided to take a closer look and took a glass of diet Coke.
It was not hard for her to sneak up on people; she was an Owl ANBU after all. The guy had a white and black mask as well as an outfit in the same colours. The only thing with colours was a red tie. The other weared a rather fancy peacock mask and a really beautiful dress. She heard their voices clearly now but she remained hidden behind a pillar.
There was something familiar about that woman...did not she looked like someone familiar!? The girl did a small brainstorm. Empty, dark eyes, pale skin, black hair and her voice sounded familiar too. Was not that the...RAIKAGE!? The heiress cleared her throat and looked at the duo. "Good evening Raikage-sama. Good evening to you too" said the female with her serious voice. She doubted the kage would recognize her with the silver and black hair, not to mention that her eyes were a bit hidden because of the mask. But perhaps her leader would recognize her voice...

Casually walking through the door way still fidgeting with his mask of which his father was so kind to give him, he would present his invitation to guards standing at the ballroom entrance, with them taking more then enough time to check if the invitation was actually real. As they gave Ookami the O.K. he soon took his arrival into the ballroom floor which seemed to be filled with many mysterious masks. Some creative ones and some not so amazing ones were present that very day, one stood out the most as he saw a so called 'mask' which was built up of orange sunglasses?

He shook it off his mind, after all he wouldn't be speaking to any of these people as his only intention of coming here was to watch the main event, the new Raikage. Sadly Ookami never got the time to even see the current Raikage but hopefully she would be present at the event. Walking over to the back of the room he stood in silence while trying to move around his oddly designed mask which was given to him by his father, why his father had a mask like this was a mystery but why Ookami actually accepted to wear it was an even bigger mystery.

While it being completely different then what Tieren was used to, it was said that a costume and mask was required to go, so he managed to find a nice, black tuxedo, a blue (or purple, I'm colorblind... Can't tell XD) and long cape, and a wig to give Tieren long, black hair. The mask completed it by giving him something that went across the eyes, and closing his right eye off. Wings extended from the mask. Black gloves were placed upon his hands as all of his weapons were left at home except for his ocarina, but that was just for him to have.

Most likely, the various differences between him and his costume, would prevent people from actually figuring out who Tieren was, unless they could tell from his voice. However, he made his way throughout the floor, seeing more and more people walk in. He had written down the information from the Sand Village Gates so he wouldn't forget it, and kept the information with him so he could give it to the Raikage at the end of this event. Now he needed to find something to do. Instead of getting an audience with the Raikage, he was given an invitation. As it was now, he wore a single contact in his left eye. His right one had been broken long ago, and he never got it replaced. That was why he was pleased with the mask he had. His glasses remained in his pocket to put on upon the removal of the masks.

Eyes continued their scan taking in everything and everyone around the hall. Yet it was not that a child came up to speak with him as the rose twisted within his fingers. As the crimson flower twisted the Uchiha made subtle movements of his finger broke the throns from such a short stem, there was but one purpose for the flower and he had to wait for the woman to show. The words from the boy suddenly kicked in a tad late and his lips moved in apology.

"My appology, my mind was wandering. Yes, fine indeed..."

Something weighed upon his heart as the music began, he knew the Machiko woman would be as easily recognized as he. The rose was placed in his lapel and he hoped the kid had taken the hint, conversation was no longer his want. He simply wanted one dance with the woman whom he loved, to see the flower given the true purpose he had for it. Alas, until the masks came off all he would have to go by was her general build and attitued. As he looked through the milling crowd he found many fitting the build, yet only a few who seemed to have the attitued. One was being asked to dance by a spiral masked male, another in an extravogant peacock-esqu mask havign a somewhat indirect conversation with another male.

Love was a real pain sometimes. The male half wished he simply could not mind whom he danced with and chosen one of the other beauties within the hall. He wished for what he wished for though, and he continued to sip his drink as he waited and observed.

Kana's blue optics turned towards the male as her head tilted gracefully to the side. She had never been asked to dance before even though she knew how. It would be rude to decline all the same, she had to make an impression upon these people. She gently set her glass down on a small table. She would not touch it again after this for fear of poison or potion being slipped into her drink, unnoticed through the throng of people.

"My honor," she murmured delicatley as she placed her gloved hand in his, allowing him to lead her onto the dance floor. She did not know who the man behind the strange mask was but she was sure he was a ninja of Kumogakure, only those with the invitations would be allowed in by the ANBU after all. Though she had found a dance partner her eyes continued to scan the room for signs of something happening.

An Anbu watched as the female made a beeline for the old Raikage. Before she could speak the dragon ANBU would set a hand gently upon her shoulder and whisper. "Don't ruin the fun, no names or faces are to be revealed untill midnight," the ANBU would explain before drifting back into the depths of the crowd as swiftly as he had appeared.

She would accept his invitation, how surprising that no interruptions would follow as her hand landed within his they would reach the dance floor, facing her with his hand with hers, his other hand upon her hip properly as his memory woudl scan a formal gathering he had been to in the past. The grace of his dance would be thanks to the rhythm training from capoeira, he wouldn't be totally flat footed. "What a wonderful night no?" speaking of the lovely spring night, a gathering of shinobi hidden in disguise could lead to something so mysterious in this life. Looking face to face, his blue eye would be within understanding in the hole of the mask for the spirals would lead one's eyes to it. She was beautiful, he could only hope that she would think the same of him.

In Each Step.

The grace of the dance could only help him try to hide the pain within each step he took. It had only been two or three days since he had awakened within the desert sands, the body he treasured so battered and beaten it'd be a miracle he made it out alive. The wondrous team of medical ninja he would owe so much gratitude. But to not worry of his own well being, he wondered if the boy known as Tieren had survived well, he had heard the return was successful, but Raikenshi was still MIA. A sigh would leave his soft lips behind his porcelain mask of mystery, he would try to allure his thoughts away from his former team and to the girl within hands reach. A woman of wondrous allurement... each step they would glide with each other, how ironic a state he was within.

Suddenly, a hand placed itself on her shoulder. The female turned her head a little and was almost face to face with an ANBU with a dragon mask. Her heart begun to beat faster; had she dressed up as a criminal or something!?
"Don't ruin the fun, no names or faces are to be revealed untill midnight," whispered the agent. "Oh...sorry. Never been to a masquerade ball before" said Marii with an apologizing smile. The ANBU then disappeared in the crowd. "Sorry if I troubled you two" said the girl with a low voice. Her light blue eyes studied the guy with the red tie. He had blue eyes, just like her and was quite tall. Come to think of it, he was a foot taller than her!
But he did not seem mean. "So...you're a ninja too?" asked the fake silver-haired female and looked at him. Was this a ninja-only party or something? Or were there civilians here too? The ANBU had told her to not reveal real names or faces, but occupation should be safe. Especially if it was something that involved the whole village.
