Next Jin came upon a rock wall. There were footholds to climb it, so he supposed just walking up the wall using chakra or flying over it was out of the question. But he still didn't trust those moving footholds, so he needed a different plan.
Since there was no other way for his clones to climb up, he sent them climbing up the footholds on the next change. There was still a chance that the traps would activate automatically and Jin would be able to see the danger. After his clones climbed up, Jin would climb up using a different method. He stretched out his arm, and a bunch of papers linked together as a rope in his hand. He tossed that up the wall to use it as a grappling hook. Jin would place one shield in front of him so that it would be between him and the wall, and left one shield on his back to defend him from any surprises from behind. He would climb up the wall like that, avoiding potentially trapped footholds.
Once he reached the top there was just the water tubes ahead of him. There was no way to get past these without just walking straight through them. So Jin decided to amp up his defenses instead. First he sent out his water clones again to test the waters, then he followed behind them. He curled into a ball and wrapped his two shields around himself. He basically became a rolling pair of shields. His skill at spinning the shields was easily great enough to push through the water, and anything that hit him in that state would be useless. He even channeled a bit of chakra into his shields to defend him from any unseen elements. Jin could see through his shields using his Byakugan, but he prepared for the worst anyway.

Kami Kusari (Chain Letter)
Rank: C
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: By connecting paper together and projecting it in a straight line, the user is able to create a rope or chain of paper, capable of restraining an opponent or acting as a grappling hook.
Special: ---
Drawback: Durability is defined by the users knowledge of Paper Strength, and maximum length is defined by ther users knowledge of Paper Manipulation.
Description: By grabbing hold of a piece of paper, the user channels chakra through it and connects it to other paper nearby. By doing this, the user is capable of forming a long chain of paper that can be used however they see fit within their range of paper manipulation. This is most effectively achieved through the use of holsters, though their utilization isn’t necessary.
Limit: Paper Release, Paper Manipulation C
Ultimate Bear Paw
Rank: B
Skill: Supplementary TaiJutsu
Effect: Enhances the skill with which one uses their shield to block.
Special: None
Drawback: Doesn’t work in conjunction with the various spinning, throwing or bumping techniques of the style. It only works in conjunction with the Bear Claw Block technique.
Description: With this mastery, the user no longer needs to have the shield affixed to their arm to be capable of blocking with it. They have pushed their bodies to be extremely durable, and strong. As such they may now use the shield with the same effectiveness when they have less mobility with it. When the shield is attached to their back or another part of their body that isn’t mobile like their arm is, they can still position themselves to block the technique. Basically, even when the shield isn’t primarily equipped, as long as you can get it in the way of the attack, it can be used as normal.
Limit: Gained automatically after attaining 500 tp in the Kumotate Style
Shield Spin
Rank: D C B
Skill: Supplementary TaiJutsu
Effect: The user gains an exceptional ability to spin the shield through rapid had motions and just general physical ability.
Special: None
Drawback: None
Description: Through Dexterous hand movements, the user is able to spin the shield between his two hands. Each rank increases the speed of rotation, but it has no practical uses on its own. It is merely training for use within other techniques.
Limit: Bear Claw, Double Paw Stance
Ultimate Hibernation
Rank: C
Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: The user effectively turns themselves into an ultimate defensive creation
Special: Requires 2 shields
Drawback: The user is blind because the shields are covering them 360 degrees.
Description: Having a shield on each arm, the user will curl themselves into a fetal position type shape and draw their shields together, effectively encasing themselves. From this position they are able to block incoming attacks from all directions with whatever the strength of their Bear Claw Block is, and are able to roll/spin with the same speed of their rank in Shield Spin. This effectively makes the user one with their shields.
Limit: Must have mastered the Kumotate Style
Chakra Dampening
Rank: B
Skill: Supplementary
Effect: The user has gained the knowledge of how to coat their shield with a thin layer of chakra almost instantly.
Special: None
Drawback: None
Description: After much training with their shield, the user is able to stand up against elemental and pure chakra attacks even better. Their shield is able to gain and insulated type of effect by having a thin coating of chakra on it (roughly costing an E rank per turn). This coating allows the user to not only have the ability to use their shields as if they were pure chakra constructs (to give them the ability to block pure chakra constructs), but helps resist effects like heat, cold and electricity that the metal of the shield would generally conduct. All attacks still rely on the bear claw block technique to determine your ability to block. This merely makes you resistant to electrical shocks, burns and cold that would be conducted through your shield when blocking certain attacks. It also allows your shield to act as a chakra construct for the purpose of blocking techniques specifically designed to only be blocked by such things.
Limit: Must have mastered the Kumotate Style
