Hunting. It was what is used to kill beasts. Riku had the intention to do this to what ever was reported to be lurking in the water. "Ha, I doubt that anything down there is a real threat." he thought. The sole objective of his mission was to kill whatever was down there or as it specifically said "Take care of whatever is down there." He felt relaxed without the feeling of tension or pressure. "Daddy lent me this bow to use with my arrows.", he murmured. Surely he wasn't experience with either a bow and arrow. "There is still a while to go.", he thought as he was traversing towards the local fishing area.

Riku took an arrow from his quiver that was strapped on his back like a school bag. He observed it for a moment. It was pretty basic with a small arrow head that was just sharp enough to do decent damage. It couldn't be compared to the other arrow heads he had in his quiver that were broader and could rip flesh. It had a wooden body that was a centimeter thick and some red aerodynamics that was called a fletching. On the very end of the arrow he noticed a small dent. It was below the fletching. "This must be what they call the nock.", he declared. "All I need to do is pull this back against the string, then it would make a shot!" The tall ebony youth inserted the nock onto the bow string. He pushed it back without much care, target, or focus. The bow and arrow were pointing downwards. After pulling the string back with the arrow attached close to it's maximum capability he lost his grip and the arrow shot straight into the ground a few feet before him. "Wow that's dangerous if not used properly!"
"Daddy wants me to be able to do this right, I can't keep dawdling.", with that said he went straight down to work. He walked past his wasted arrow, still heading towards the fishing area. He inhaled the winter air then exhaled. Archery was surely a different type of combat. He reached into his quiver once again then brought out another arrow similar to the one before. He was a big lad, at 6'0 feet he needed equal footing for success in archery. With the arrow in his right hand he stretched it back against the bow with the help of the nock. He had the tendency to put his weight mostly on his right foot. He had to adjust his footing to get some more into his left. "Yeah, I think this is good." Next he aligned his instep with the arrow above it. It was like a line foreshadowed with a line above it. He matched his left foot behind it with the right heel touching his left big toe through his sandals. "Yup I believe everything is straight." He released his grip on the nock and the arrow shooted straight down the middle of the path then landed somewhere far ahead of the boy. He was able to see it land. "Nice."
