First Rule: Please do not post anything pornographic: links, advertisements, or pictures within the C-Box. Do not post anything that disrupts a site such as links in which someone can not click out of.
Second Rule: No Baiting, No Flaming, No Antagonizing, No Trolling, No Spamming, No Changing of Font Size or Color, (Bold, Italic, Underline is fine.) and No Fighting. Keep it English.
Third Rule: Absolutely no advertising within the C Box, failure to do so will result to a perma-band. If you wish to advertise please look into the affiliation boards. Same rule applies to pm advertisements.
Fourth Rule: You may only ask to have bios checked in the Cbox: show Link. Any other Staff requests must be PMed. Do not notify staff you sent a PM in Cbox when dealing with links that cannot be posted in the cbox.
In the Spirit of Role-playing everyone should consider a few things. From time to time we as Role-players no matter who we are forget the Spirit of Role-playing.
One Do not take anything serious. Why? Because this is the internet. No one can touch you. No one can harm you in any way, so do not take anything serious. Be good, do not start fights, and please do your best to not take anything serious.
Two Try to have fun. Do your best to have fun, this is a type of site to allow someone to relax and do what they wish in the world of Role-play.
If someone gets upset with you, try to have fun with your character.
If someone attacks you try to make another character, or just try to survive with your character.
If someone does something you do not like ask them Out of Character to stop. Tell them you have something else planned with your character. People normally comply. If that does not work contact staff.
Three Treat each other with Respect. The word "Noob" does not exist on this site. "Newbs" exist however as they are "new" members and members who continue to wish to learn. Post count, positions, or time spent on Naruto Forum Role-play is meaningless. Staff are members; They are seen as board workers and not ad deities. Aim to get along with one another, avoid conflict, respect each other, and respect the boards.
The Ten Board Rules
1 - No Flaming - Do not insult. A flame is not meant as a joke and is not accepted. Do not flame. If flamed, contact a Staff Member. Do not retaliate. There are 3 Classifications of Flaming.
1. Unintended - An insult where it did not mean to insult. These may be excusable.
2. Minor - An insult that is a spur of the moment without thinking correctly. This is not excusable.
3. Major - An insult or set of insults that are clear and calm trying to cause maximum distress someone.
2 - No Baiting - To deliberately annoy or taunt. This is not acceptable on site. Do not intentionally try to anger or upset someone. If you feel you are being baited ask them to stop. Do not counter with a flame or a bait. If one continues to bait contact a Staff Member.
3 - No Drama Whoring - A person who thinks their life occurrences are more important than another. Often a drama sleeper will send out messages with no content except for something inflammatory or retaliatory directed at another person they dislike. Keep all harmful personal objectives off the site. Do not turn opinions within the community against other members or the site.
4 - No Harassment - Do not harass members. If someone asks you not to interact with them please stop. If a user is harassing please contact a Staff Member. A member may not ask or tell a Staff Member to stay away from a thread that needs Grading or Accepting. If you feel that you are being treated unfairly please contact Higher Staff
5 - No Flooding - Posting more than 5 threads in a forum within 1 hour without staff consent, bumping dead topics causing previously active threads to drop off 1st page. Do Not Bump a Thread. Please direct to Posting and You Thread to learn about Posting.
6 - No Advertising - Do not advertise another site on this site. You are not allowed to Private Message people inviting them to other sites. If you are caught you will be removed from the site. If you wish to advertise with the site, please post your site in the Advertising and Affiliations Board.
7 - No Trolling - Deliberately causing damage to the community. Neo-trolling is another variant of this whereby you try to cause damage without making it seem like actual trolling (i.e.: subtle and intelligent trolling). This includes:
1. Maliciously exploiting 'loop holes' in the rules.
2. Seeking to constantly or massively undermine staff.
3. Publicly attacking the forum or how it is run on the site or off site.
4. Privately plotting to cause problems on the forum.
5. Maliciously breaking rules.
6. Returning by other means after being banned.
7. Hacking - Hacking by taking accounts will result in a Ban.
8. Disrespecting Staff Members. If a mod closes a thread, or tells you to quit doing something, then please listen to them. If you are unhappy with a Staff Member then do not make a public protest thread. PM a Higher Staff with the complaint and we make corresponding changes if necessary.
8 - No Content Abuse - Make sure that your posts are readable. Consider that not everyone's broadband access is the same. Do not post background music or imbedded media in a thread. Topics with adult content media must contain a thread warning. Keep the site PG13. Image size may not exceed 450 pxl by 450 pxl to ensure the site will not be stretched.
The Signatures on the bottom of each forum cannot be larger than 450 pxls by 200 pxls. This is to ensure the forum does not stretch, and stop multiple large images to load per thread.
The avatars located at the mini-profile cannot be larger than 100 pxls by 203 pxls.
9 - No Public Complaints - Keep all Out of Character disputes away from In Character Threads. Contact a Staff Member with the dispute. Do not make threads to discredit the site. If you have a complaint please make a post found in our Complaints board.
10 - Posting Capabilities - User may be in 4 threads A Regular Role-Play thread, an Event or Interactive Mission thread, a Training thread, and a Crafting thread. Event or Interactive Mission Threads are threads that are Events, Interactive-Mission Threads, Achievement Threads, and Exams. Regular Role-Play Threads are any threads that are not Events, Interactive-Mission Threads, Achievement Threads, and Exams.
The 4 Thread ability has its restrictions:
If user learned a technique after entering a Roleplaying thread the user may not perform said technique. This includes Event or Interactive Mission threads.
Example: User started a Mission on October 18th. User is Training into a technique on October 19th. User is still in the Mission on October 22nd but has finished Training into the technique on October 21st. User may not perform the technique until they are done with mission.
Consequences - The consequences of trying to bypass "Rule 10" is TP reduction to the fullest extension of TP Reduction. Do not let staff catch you try to cheat. Do not let staff catch you do wrong.
If user is interacting with another Role-player in a Training thread then both will sacrifice their Training Thread. This does not become a Regular Role-play thread.
If user is interacting with another Role-player in a Crafting thread then both will sacrifice their Crafting Thread. This does not become a Regular Role-play thread.
User may be in a Training Thread in 1 Country, Regular Role-Play thread in another Country, and a Event or Interactive Mission in another Country.
Singular Training threads are Private Threads unless specified by the user.
Regular Role-Play threads may not be significant such as entering another Village to gather Intelligence.
Due to the severity and the danger of an "A", and "S" Rank Missions they take up a Event or Interactive Mission Thread.
Any item gathered within a single Role-play may not be used on another Role-play until it has ended and a new Role-play has begun.
Looting may occur within any Role-play. User will be able to use the same weapons and items that have been brought in another Role-play prior to the loot until said Role-play has ended.
Any Ryo taken during any Role-play will continue through all Role-plays. This means that if user loses all money in 1 Role-play will no longer have any money within any of the 4 Role-plays.
If a character dies, user may still finish a the other thread they are previously in where they have yet to die. However once they finish, the character is still dead.
A disciplinary action happens when users break rules. Rules must be followed by both Members and Staff Members. There are several types of Disciplinary Actions that are followed to keep the site safe, keep the members safe, and to weed out trouble makers.
The different types of Disciplinary Actions are Verbal Warnings, the First Warning - 33%, the Second Warning - 66%, the Third Warning - 99%, the Temporary Ban, and finally the Permanent Ban.
Each Disciplinary Action has a set time limit. Each Warning lasts for 2 Weeks and are accumulative. Each Warning has a set drawback as well and will hinder a user's Role-Play so be careful.
Disciplinary Actions are recorded in Account Notes and may only be seen by Staff members. Account Notes pertaining to Disciplinary Action will not be removed. Each Disciplinary Action will record the type of Warning, the reasoning behind the Warning, the date the Warning was issued and the date the Warning will be removed.
First time offenses. These only apply to small offenses such as spamming. These only apply to new members of 30 Days or Less. A user only receives one Verbal Warning. A Verbal Warning is when a Staff Member will warn a Member for misconduct and will give out a caution if it happens again. No Punishments are applied during a Verbal Warning.
The 3 Warnings
Every Warning past Verbal will have Punishments. Each Punishment is dependent on the type of Warning they received. Each warning lasts for 2 weeks and are accumulative. Each Punishment is also Accumulative. Why such harsh consequences? To stop people from continuously breaking the rules. We want the site to be a safe place for people.
The List below states the Warning, and the Punishments that are associated with the Warning.
First Warning - 33%
Banned from any Scrapping/Revamping.
Cannot use village training rooms.
Second Warning - 66%
Banned from events (must exit the one you're in)
Also, Reduction in event credit, -1.
Unable to be Promoted: To Chunin, Jounin, ANBU, ect... (all titles)
If Kage, then Kage audit: Staff will have a closed discussion on whether to take away Kage status.
Third Warning - 99%
TP reduction, 20% from all User's PC accounts. A note will be added to each profile to show it was done.(Accounts with 0 TP are excluded.)
Training Point grade reduction- All training points earned will be reduced by 2 (10 will be an 8, 8 will be a 6...ect). Effects apply to Sharingan Points.
2 weeks (14 days) per tier, accumulative.
Punishments are accumulative.
Temporary Banning is issued for those who have surpassed the Third Warning - 99%. Temporary Banning lasts for 2 weeks. This is accumulative with the Third Warning. This means a user comes back with a 99% and will once again deal with the Warning System. Banning is only applied by High Staff (Administrators and Head Moderators).
When a Temporary Ban is issued, it will be marked in their Account Notes as well as the Disciplinary Board found in the Administrator Section. The thread will state when the Temporary Ban was instated and reasons for instatement.
Permanent Banning are issued for continuous rule breaking. A Permanent Ban means the user will no longer be able to come back to the site, and is no longer welcomed on the site. Permanent Banning is rare however has happened throughout the past of Naruto Forum RP history. No other Staff member is able to perform a Permanent Ban on a member at any time however a High Staff is allowed to do so if they see fit.
When a Permanent Ban is issued, it will be marked in the Disciplinary Board found in the Administrator Section. The thread will state when the Permanent Ban was instated and reasons for instatement. The Account of the Permanent Ban will also be removed from the site.
The C-Box is a place where those who wish to engage into conversation with one another may occur in order to wait out for others to post. This place is also used to allow people to interact with one another in conversations of Out of Character. The C-Box however is somewhat limited and because of that there is different rules and standards of the C-Box. Some rules may be similar to that of the Forum, while others are quite different. The most different part however of the C-Box is that of the punishments when breaking or disregarding the rules. There is a lot of problems that may occur within the C-Box and these problems will be addressed accordingly.
After careful consideration, after constant bickering within the C-Box, the rules, the Discipline will change dramatically. There will be Zero Tolerance within how the C-box will function. Having the C-Box taken away will not solve problems, enforcing shall. The only person that those who feel should be angry at are the ones capable of banning those from the C-Box. As everyone should know the C-Box is a privilege. Privileges may be taken away at any time if there is probable cause. There are certain things that the users is capable of doing within the C-Box and this is what keeps things in order, and fun within the C-Box. People may engage in conversations with one another, discuss, talk, and just have fun. It is basically a chat where people may talk with one another in a kind way.
Four Primary Rules of C-Box
First Rule: Please do not post anything pornographic: links, advertisements, or pictures within the C-Box. Do not post anything that disrupts a site such as links in which someone cannot click out of.
Second Rule: No Baiting, No Flaming, No Antagonizing, No Trolling, No Spamming, No Changing of Font Size or Color, (Bold, Italic, Underline is fine.) and No Fighting. Keep it English
Third Rule: Absolutely no advertising within the C Box, failure to do so will result to a perma-band. If you wish to advertise please look into the affiliation boards. Same rule applies to pm advertisements.
Fourth Rule: You May only Ask to have your Bios checked in the C-Box, but show the links. Anything Else PM staff or else they will be ignored, and you will not speak in C-Box.
Rules of the C-Box Closer Look
Warning: Constant usage of C-box may cause depleted IQ points
These rules were developed to be fair to all. We only want to make the C-Box experience a little better for everyone.
All conversations must be kept "PG-13" at all times. Let me make this perfectly clear right now, there is to be no talk of rape, implied rape, sexual activity, sexual organs, drugs, or implied drug use. Keep it family friendly! Posting links to manga with questionable material is also against this rule and will result in an immediate ban. There is no exception to this rule.
Try to keep the number of conversations going on at any given time to a minimal. I don't mean that you cannot speak on a different topic if someone is talking but try not to start ten different conversations at one time. The space provided is limited and it can become very annoying and troublesome to have to sift through so many topics. (This will not get you banned, this is just a courtesy call)
You may not steal another person's name. If you are new, it is known that one does not know names within the forum. So having two people with the name of Ryu would be fine. However, taking a whole entire name in which was previously stated, or lieing who you are, posing as a veteran or new member will not be tolerated. This will get you immediately banned.
Your personal like and dislike is of none of any one's concern but your own, so keep them to yourself. Religion, politics, and personal prejudices should not be spoken in the C-Box at any time. If you are caught breaking this rule you will be warned only once. Should you fail to comply you may be banned.
The site of Naruto Forum RP is an enter at your own risk. If one comes in while spoilers are being stated within the C-Box that is considered to be your own fault. If something is a day or two old we ask please no spoilers. However a few weeks after something has been out it is not considered to be spoilers and may be discussed. We do however ask to keep spoilers to a minimum do not give out full flat out plots or endings. Going against will cause trouble.
No advertising. Posting links to other forums is not allowed. Posting things such as videos, songs are permitted, or if you are posting something that deals something that is not benefiting another site do not post it. Going against this rule will result into a ban. This rule may result into a perma ban.
Keep your own personal problems to yourself. If you feel the sudden urge to speak forth about how people of Naruto Forum Roleplay does not like you, how harsh things are. That is a big no no. If you have a personal problem that needs to be addressed however, please explain it. Best way of explaining is do not search for attention. Should you fail to comply you will be banned, no questions asked.
Do not try to bypass the filters they are there for a reason. If there is something however in which a name may have been filtered it is fine. For Example the Clan known as the Shitakuma, the word Shit will be filtered, it is fine to bypass that for the name. However using the name to insult someone will result into being removed.
If you have an issue with a staff member do not address it in the C-Box. Please speak to the Higher Staff such as the Admins and the Headmods. Please explain to them of the situation, and please let them know of what is going on. Provide with as much evidence as possible.
If for any reason a person is being unreasonable, even if they are following these rules, it will result in disciplinary actions. Anyone caught trying to disobey the intent of the law, by finding "loopholes" will also be punished.
The universal language of the C-Box is English as well as the Site. Although you do have a freedom of expression, but it only makes it more difficult to monitor the conversations when they are in a language we do not understand. Keep it in English. If you are talking about a Technique it is fine, simple phrases and words is also fine. Greetings and saying your goodbyes are also fine, other then that however please keep it English. This also includes the Leet Language.
If you have a problem with this Rule it has been addressed to Support linked Here.
If you are Not a staff member do not mini-mod. Mini-modding is pretending to be a mod and "reminding" people to follow the rules. Please, just let a Staff member know. You do not have to keep reminding people of the rules. However if a situation arises then please state it. (This will not get you banned, this is just a courtesy call unless you are considering of breaking Rule 10.)
No Fight Discussions: Do you want to discuss how you can fight better than someone? Do you believe your build is better than another person? Do you believe that if your opponent does something then all you have to do is something else? Well that's fine and dandy, but keep it out of the C-Box. We do not want these kinds of discussions. These Discussions are just about how large someone's ego is versus another. If you want to discuss it then PM each other, but keep it out of the C-Box.
Disciplinary Actions Within C-Box
When one breaks the C-Box rules it is best to know and understand that there will be consequences.
Warning: Constant Rule Breaking may cause for a Ban
The C-Box was not always this harsh, we used to have it where almost anything goes, however due to actions over the last two years we of Naruto Forum RP have decided it is best to make the C-Box Restricted rather than removing the C-Box All together.
When a person goes against a rule in which is considered wrong, then the user will be faced with a week ban from the C-Box. There are no Day Bans, no Hour Chill Pills. It will be simply a week ban and that is it.
BREAK A RULE FROM C-BOX = BAN FOR A WEEK FROM C-BOX
If a user does not wish to go with the ban and find ways to continue to get onto the C-Box, they will continue to be banned and will have to restart their Week ban. At this time they will be given an actual verbal within the website account.
If a user does not wish to go with the ban and find ways to continue to get onto the C-Box, they will continue to be banned and will have to restart their Week ban. At this time they will be given two warnings for continuous disregard to the rules and disciplinary actions.
If a user does not wish to go with the ban and find ways to continue to get onto the C-Box, they will continue to be banned and will have to restart their Week ban. At this time they will be from the website until their Ban from the C-Box is no longer in affect.
