To bury the old, and reveal the new [Event]

Entering the graveyard at a solemn pace, Jimarai kept his head bowed respectfully as he approached the casket. It was times like this that wearing a black trench coat had its advantages. It was drawn about him with the collar up at the back, his pony tail going over the back of the collar and his hands at his sides as he drew upon the casket.

He looked inside to see the possession of the former Kage. He had not known this man - his predecessor. Obviously he had not been cut out for the job. Jimarai had been out of the village for some time when the incident occurred. It had been the sand nin that Saeko and Jimarai had taken into the village, part of a treaty or something. Word was that the sand nin had killed the former Tsuchikage.

Uttering a few simple words Jimarai would kneel by the casket and place a hand on it " Goodbye Brother. May your journey in the next life be longer than this one."[/color].

Moving aside into the crowd Jimarai would cast his gaze up into the sunlight and towards the podium, curiosity starting to grow as to who would be announced as the next Kage. He sincerely doubted it was himself, the Godaime since he had only returned to the village the previous day and no one knew of his return as of yet.

Daichi would come walking up into the masses with a casually bored look on his face. He was chewing o some sunflower seed's casually, dressed in black shorts and black ninja boot's with a black tunic top. His headband was worn as usual in it's belt fashion, and that's all he came with...as well as his bracelets of black leather with the four rings on them and the necklace with the black diamond on it. He simply approached at the back of the concession and continued to eat seed's spitting the shells on the ground without care.

"Damn people really cared...Hardly even knew the guy and even I'm showing up...hehe...*sigh*"

Turning around while looking at the fringes of the crowd, while Daichi happened to start getting mixed in the huddle of a line, he'd notice in a nearby tree a figure who seemed to be taking thing's rather hard. Popping a sunflower into his mouth Daichi would consider this with a simple stare for a moment and then count the heads ahead of him to the totem memorium.

"Yo dude in the tree, quit cryin-no-lying; come and kick it with me!" Daichi would say making arm gestures and rhyming real fast. People in the crowd would give him frustrated repulsive glares and mumble under their breath, ut Daichi just spat sunflower seeds on the ground rather rudley. He looked over at a fat lady who held her nose high to him. "What!? Fix your face chick...hehe...for real though..."

Daichi would hear the proceeding of the A and take a seat along with the masses. As he forgot his rapping from earlier he watched as the two Anbu twin's took the stage and gave a speech of the late Tonou's passing. Then there was the arrival of a new message, a rising phoenix to come from the ashes: The new Tsuchikage was chosen. Daichi cracked sunflower seed's in his mouth as he watched, the loud cracking of the seed's was slightly audible form anywhere around, though most people ignored it and it seemed no one really thought it much an annoyance to go call him out.

Crossing a leg over his knee, Daichi squinted, while listening intently to the word's spoken on stage. The new Kage seemed...unimpressive, having what he thought was...holes? On his forehead? He seemed to lean forward slightly in his seat, ad then reclined, thinking tat it didn't really matter, and he could figure it out later.



Daichi heard these word's and a frown ran over his face as he looked around casually at the reactions of other's. Then he watched him perform some kind of jutsu with his hand's and the he would seem to demonstrate the birth of a new beginning with some seed. Then there was a silence for people to pay respect's, and that's when Daichi chose to speak up, the youthful vibrance of the teenager showing in brimming naieve confidence.

"Hey!...Like, How do we know we can just trust you to fix this? Like...How many kage have come to power before you? We didn't even know that you'd been chosen and the council didn't inform anyone...Tonou died not that long ago and now at his funeral you just come out speaking this without winning the hearts and mind's of the people? Man, what happen's now with the Suna treaty? Huh!? What happen's to fixing the rogue ninja who just leave with the village secrets and set up black markets wherever they want? you haven't even got the mission office back in order, WE THE PEOPLE, CAN"T EVEN GO TO WORK? HOW YOU GUNNA GET MONEY TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL FOR US!...Like there are other commandeered villages going around, seeking to petition commissioning with the daimyo, and what are we able to do about it? our leader dies like once a month...And yea, my father tells me all about the political network around here...The fact is, electing a new kage every few weeks isn't gunna change nothing...you got the people, AND the power now....We-" Daichi said with a general gesture to everyone around, " Are waiting for a direction to move in! So I think if you are the new kage, that you OWE, every man and women here a direct answer to what is gunna happen to us...WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO, TO SAVE THIS VILLAGE!"

Daichi said folding his arm's while tucking his bang's out from his face from his exertions. He spat some empty flower shells on the ground and waited for a reply form the new "LEADER" of the village. The brimming youth in Daichi seemed to hit the mind's and hearts of the peer's and fellow man around him. Now all the villager's where looking up to their new god head with the eye's of the strong ad humble; ready to be led out of the empty darkness they lived in. It was apparent: Though sorry over Tonou's death, it was nothing new. What they desired was affirmative action...Now!

No one placed their flower's on the grave, and they simply dropped most of them, while younger academy students would cling to their parent's. People sitting around Daichi would simply scramble away as vines rose from the ground and seized the young voice of the people. A loud gasp and cries of dismay ran out from the people from the terrifying site. While Daichi was seized and hoisted up he coughed out some more sun flower seed's in surprise, dropping his bag in the process.



Daichi struggled against the vine's pulling at his arm's while the kage spoke. All the villager's where looking at this unexpected display of force from the new kage, and some cast dark leer's from the brutal actions. "He's only a boy! What's wrong with you!" Said a brave voice form the crowd, while another shouted, "He's right! We want action's not word's from some joker who is chosen to lead by a couple of geezer's...' "We haven't seen you lift a finger to help us yet...where where you all the time's our other leader's died!" And, "This is madness, you tyrant!". then before the vine's would secret a poison, a blaze of raiton would quickly streak through the air, cutting the vine's like butter, dropping Daichi to the ground. The boy landed in a crouch with his hands planting on the ground, a slightly irritated look on his face, but he didn't seem to go into some stupid blind rage.

He slowly began to raise his hand's into a seal when suddenly a hand landed on his shoulder as a figure seemed to shunshin next to him. It was Daichi's father, a man who stood tall and regal looking in robe's that suggested him as a political clan leader. He had white hair, and golden eye's which radiated with sky blue arcs of electricty. The elder dragon of the Kazeraikou establishment in Stone village spoke simply, "No son...we do not refute the callings and formalities of those in power around us...not with brave loud word's, and definetly not with force...eve if they attack first...Though his actions are offensive, he is as we are; allies of the same village..."

Daichi scoffed at his father's words and gripped his hands into the chakra focus seal quickly, getting ready to bring a new level of destruction. but his father simply gripped Daichi's hands while they where held in the seal, keeping him from molding anymore. He looked to his son with the eye's of a dragon, and the face of wisdom. "No! This is not how we conduct ourselves as political citizens! You take offense now and you jeopordize the clan establishment! At this point you are interfering with thing's far above your station little dragon...Wait out the storm, and let the sun shine once more with time..." At this Daichi looked at Sairro and suddenly he saw the face of the new leader. Daichi was a rude upstart, but he was an intelligent person with a wisdom beyond his years though he still had the heart of a teenager. Had he unleashed the abilities of his people, he would have been utterly outmatched by Anbu forces, and it would hurt the village as a whole and got nothing accomplished. His father knew how these thing's worked...the differences between those in power politically and those in power only with weapons. Daichi could be strong but he couldn't fight the forces at work here with jutsu and violence. this was a thing of hearts and minds, and will to move the masses. "You have done enough...Go home...take your sister and go now..."

Daichi would clench his fist and look at Sairro. He looked straight into his eye's and saw something dark there. He felt untrusting of this new leader and had assumptions that he would not lead the people with justice. Shrugging he'd snort and say, "Whatever..." and the take his sister with him and leave the procession. His father stayed however and the eye's of all the villager's where on the man. It seemed that this outbreak had instilled alot of fear in the people. Sairo would have a much harder time winning the minds of his people ow. And as such he definitely would not get them to work ass efficiently as had he chosen to use a more subtle touch. The people didn't need force, they needed rules...guidelines...orders. Daichi's father would make some signal's in the crowd and this would cause four Kazeraikou men to go and escort Daichi and his sister.

"Tsuchikage...Sairo Zassou...You have doe more damage then anything at this procession, so take heed: I apologize for my son's rash outbreak, but he is a child among bigger matter's...matter's you are aware of...He is young, but he speaks for the people he is with...his voice holds the words of many, and in time, as you've said an answer is desired...even by those who do not ask you...As you know, I don't seek to tell you your job, but only help advise...You know our clan is wise and well known for this, and as part of the many grains which forge the great stone of earth I only desire to help you lead better...So please...do not think it necessary to attack wisdom, and also...please do not attack a member of my direct family for using mere words..." At the last part, the kazeraikou elder would look a bit angered at Sairo, hoping the message was clear.

The people of the village would all look around at the new kage and many of them did not look happy. They did not trust the new kage because of what he did it seemed. Daichi's father would let his Odai Ryuugan subside and bow to the new kage, while backing away form the crowd that now gathered again around him and faced the stage with frustrated and skeptical faces. Then a few of the people would say, "We wish to remember the actions of the Rokudaime without your presence on the stage...If you care so much then come down from your high horse and join us in clothes of black!" And then another villager would say, "Yeah come mourn with us ALL! You pompous tyrant!"

As Daichi would be walking his way through the village to the Kazeraikou manner with the four guarding escort's, he would be fuming, eating sunflower seeds rather aggressively, even eating the shells. The guy is a tyrant, no one cares about the funeral thats the whole point! We want to see no more funerals...and speaking in silence isn't gunna help anything... Daichi would be thinking in his head. He hadn't eve noticed the other's around him until his sister seemed to be tugging his wrist. Daichi looked down at his sister and noticed she was looking worried because he was gripping her hand too tightly. Daichi smiled and let go, "Oh sorry sis...I just...was thinking..." Daichi would say to console her. "Well geez! What are you thinking about? That new kage? Pfft...who cares brother, father got you off the hook, besides father is aright as well as the kage...you can't just go around trying to comandeer cermonies...it's disrespectful..."

Daichi would think this over ad the sigh, "Yeah whatever..." His sister would give him a hug around his waist as they approaached the manor. "You two go on without me, I'm gunna blow off some steam...I'll handle my sister, you should go tell my dad we made it home..." Daichi would say to the four guards. they nodded and made their way back to the funeral. Daichi watched them leave and when they where out of sight and he saw his sister go inside he would smile and make a few short hand seals before leaping up into the air, and bounce off a 5x5 meter cloud he summoned and land on the rooftop of the big 3 story manor. He sat on top of the top arch, resting atop a dragon statue while looking out across the village with his Ryuugan, zooming in on the funeral from afar. He sat eating sunflower seeds and simply watched the thing's proceed. A smile crossing his face as people seemed to be shouting at the new kage. Someone seemed to throw a pair of black mourning clothes at the kage...Daichi wondered what had happened when he left.

After the new Kage had said his speech Jimarai would gaze up from a seat in teh crowd. Sairo and himself had never gotten along or seen eye-to-eye when he was Tsuchikage himself. They were different people. Cut from a different cloth. Then a young teen stood and disrupted the proceedings, shouting for answers and solutions to what Sairo promised in his welcoming address to the people. While Jimarai bore no love for the Zassou, he could not help but cringe for him, at the vulgarity of interrupting a funeral.

Then something occurred that was quite unexpected. The Zassou bore no patience and sent forth an attack at the upstart, seizing him with vines from underground. The young man stood not 5m from Jimarai's current seat, and people were starting to jump up and out of the way of the attack. Jumping to as well, Jimarai would reach for the hilt of his sword, drawing his trench coat slightly. He didn't know what was happening, but he would be ready to free the young boy if his new 'leader' did not free him.

Then the boy would free himself, and prepare an attack. Stepping forward to stop him, a man would sunshin in and stop him.

The boy's father ... mmm.

After the father had said his piece and left with his son the people milled about, scared and confused as to what had just happened. Sairo made no move to quell the people so Jimarai, forming a few seals would send his chakra beneath the earth and a small pillar would rise underneath him, sending him to a height of 4m. People would look into the air, not as frightened, but just as confused.

"Everyone - please calm down. Try and put that moment from your minds and remember we are here to commemorate the life of our former Tsuchikage. Please ... regain some order ... and resume paying your respects. I'm sure the Tsuchikage will have much to tell you all" Jim would pause, emphasizing the word 'all' "in good time after he has set up and begun planning things out ... Thank you."

And with that, his pillar would sink back into the earth. He hated drawing attention to himself like that. He had hoped no one would notice him back in the village. It begged questions as to where the Godiame was during the apparent ransacking of Iwa. Drawing his coat back around him, and moved back within the crowd.

Masaaki was arriving un-fashionably late. His white kimono was, as always, draped around his body, and his dull red eyes held a cheerful gleam to them. Making sure to keep the customary grin of his away, people tend to frown on that at funerals, he kept as solemn as he could.

Juggling two of his Chakram easily around, his gourd of sand sat on his back. Weapons came along with him, especially in these times of unrest. Otherwise, he was just a normal funeral-goer, out to enjoy the mourning.

He had just missed something semi-dramatic it seemed. Shinobi were stomping off to pout, and all that fun stuff. None of it bothered Masaa, however, who just strode along the edge of the group, humming an off-tune funeral dirge.

Such luck! Masaaki had merely only show up when prizes were offered! A grin not befitting his surroundings took over his face as he quite literally skipped over to the AnBu, holding out his hand expectantly for the Wireless Radio and the coupon. Once they were handed over he would scamper away, the items clutched to his chest as his grin widened.

The ANBU gave the items to the father, but not for him to give to his son. "Your son may come and collect the items himself."[/color] Said the ANBU, on strict orders to give one per person. As the man continued along to the tent, the Tsuchikage felt his presence from the vines imbedded throughout the ground. The voice came after as he kept his eyes closed looking at the ground. As the Kazeraikou elder finished his words, Sairo still remained silent for a few seconds longer before pulling out a few seeds for various flowers.

His hand made a small hole for each one as he planted them in the ground. His hands then danced across a few handseals as water came from his gourd on his back over the planted flowers and they grew instantly. "Life... so precious yet so fragile."[/color] He said as he stood. The vines came up from the ground, though it was impossible for the Kazeraikou to see such a thing as the Kage had since removed his shoes, allowing his bare feet to touch the ground he loved so much.

"I accept no apology from you on behalf of your son. As I've already stated, he is a Shinobi of this village. He should know respect and know the proper way to act. But his choices and his actions were his own. As were mine in response to them. I have no regrets for the way I have acted."[/color] He said as he looked to the ANBU that had followed him in. His hand flicked toward them as they stepped out of the tent, leaving the two in there alone.

"And saying personal problems are the reason for his outburst... That is also not a valid excuse. Everyone has personal problems. Everyone has had challenges that have come their way. My problem? I've just been handed the leadership to a village, and to interact with people in which my abilities of doing so are lacking. I don't look for pity and I am not looking for instant respect from the villagers for I have not earned it."[/color] He added as he coughed, still not used to talking to others for long. He looked at the elder with his face still shrouded by his hood. At this point, however, he removed his hood, showing the green hair and purple eyes of the Zassou Clan.

"My clan is hunted by the females. Two massacres have occurred already. My own mother had killed my father after he gave her me as a child. And she almost killed me when she realized I was male. I ended up having to kill my own mother before she killed me when I was 6 years old. I left my home and came here, having been taught not to talk to others more than I had to. The village itself is making my change my ways, and in turn, I cough when talking too much."[/color] He said, followed by another small fit of coughing to prove such a point.

"As stated... We all have our own personal problems, ones we must learn to cope with. In regards to your son... I will speak with him personally at a later time. I have much to discuss with him about today, about him, and about myself."[/color] He said, wondering if the elder had anything further to say to him.
