Ikki met with a few ANBU who were stationed outside of the Kage Tower. He showed them the Mission request and they nodded to him. Ikki spoke quietly to the ANBU, they informed him about the Mission, exactly how many children there were, and where they would possibly strike next. Ikki was to take their spray paint cans away from them and deliver them to the local civilian police force to be punished. Ikki nodded in agreement.
Ikki would have to wait until his was dark out to start stalking the children. The ANBU made it clear to him that Ikki was to catch the children in the act of vandalism for the Mission to be completed, Ikki would have to focus on that. That would mean he would have to give it his all for this Mission.
Hours and hours later, in the middle of the night, Ikki was jumping across rooftops cycling through each and every spot that the ANBU had outlined for him that day. As Ikki jumped, he went through each and every one of them over again in his head. The first was the yard where all of the pushcarts and rickshaws were kept every night. The ANBU outlined this spot because as they thought the children would try to paint their graffiti on a cart or rickshaw so their art would be displayed across the city.
The next place that the ANBU told Ikki about was a new buidling that was being put up relatively near the cart and rickshaw spot. The building would be one of the highest in the Village and the ANBU surmised that the children would try to get there graffiti up where everyone could see it. As Ikki ran through these explanations he was surprised about how much the ANBU had investigated into this subject.
The final place the ANBU outlined, the place Ikki was traveling to now, was a large freshly painted wall. This was located on the wall that surrounded the Village. The ANBU deicded that would be another prime spot to catch the vandals because as they put it, a graffiti artist could never resist a freshly painted white wall. Ikki landed on a building roof and looked down. He could see the freshly painted wall and a few children loitering about, down the street. Ikki's stomach turned, he had found them.
Now all he had to do was wait for them to start painting and he would rush in to apprehend them. Ikki crouched down low and shifted his body so that he stayed in the shadows of the roof top, he waited. Ikki watched as one boy, dressed in all black, with a hood over his head, approached the wall. Ikki then watched as the boy looked to his left, then his right. He dub his hand into the pocket of his black sweater and pulled out a shiny can. Ikki squinted his eyes and saw that the cap was red, to denote the color of the paint that was inside. The boy started shok the can, and Ikki heard the metal ball inside click around, churning up the paint.
Ikki used this time to strike. He would first capture the lookout boys and then go for the eader. Although he would have to work very quickly so that the painter didn't notice that his lookouts were gone. Ikki moved from th shadows and to the end of the roof. He climbed down, as quietly as possible, and was surprised as he couldn't even hear himself move. Ikki stuck to the shadows, which completely enveloped him. Ikki moved slowly.
The ninja moved towards what he saw where two boys, each looking a different directions. They were making sure that no one walked down the road without their painter friend aware of it. They would give him a signal and then take off. Ikki surmised they didn't think someone would come at them from where they had come from. Ikki slwoly crept up to the first boy and grabbed him around the mouth, preventing him from making a noise.
He knocked him out, without hurting him too much, he was only a child after all. Ikki moved to the next boy quickly doing the same to him. The boys would wake up in a few hours with a headache, that was all. Ikki then moved toward the painter who was enveloped in his work. Ikki surveyed the art for a moment before moving forward. The kid was quite good, Ikki remarked to himself. The ninja crept along, behind the painter. This was dangerous now as Ikki was in direct light coming from a streetlight above him.
Ikki moved faster now, and as the boy was in mid stroke Ikki grabbed him. He performed the same motions as he did with the other boys, covering his mouth and knocking him out. Ikki dragged him to the others, he grabbed all three of them, one under his arm and the two others across his shoulders. Ikki walked away into the night.
Ikki came to the civilian police station and went inside. He informed the officers of the situation, showing them the Mission request and they thanked him for his help. Ikki hoped the boys got off with only a small punishment as he walked away. Art was art, no matter what form, even if it was illegal to practice it.
Ikki would wait until the morning to go back to the Kage office and deliver his Mission Report.
