High above snow country, the sun had passed away, and the moon and stars were beginning to reveal themselves to the on lookers below. It was close to five pm, yet the country was dark, and the night life was kicking in. This night however, was a special one. This night, would be the night which all the hard work of the Kage, the Lords of snow, as well as the common people who help set everything up, would be paid back. They would get the chance to see the smiling faces of the children as they ran back and forth from the food stands, trying to eat as much of the food as possible. The younger men and women would go out dancing, hoping maybe to find that love that would last forever. While the rest of the country might be going to bed, The village Hidden in the Snow was only getting started..
One of the many free attractions that the village put together are the various stages, and dance floors. At least thirty had been placed all around the village. Each would have a band, singer, or some sort of musical entertainer playing. If you could not find your style of music here, you weren't looking. Each floor had its own band, and stage lights. The dance Floor themselves had lights that would flash different colors, giving off a weird effect as the people moved around dancing and laughing with one another.
On top of the various dance floors and concert stages that had been put together, several more were built for entertainers such as comedians and magicians. The finest Comedians were found and brought out to the village to perform live for the people. Their comic genius would help create laughter all around the village. The Magicians would inspire curiosity and amazement with their performance. The kids would leave running away from their parents to try and perform the acts they just saw. Only to be laughed at by their peers when they failed. Some of the older people would go off and see story tellers, and listen to travelers retail their adventures to those who wish to hear.
One of the other things you would see plenty of, merchants. Merchant carts were everywhere, selling different things. Some sold food, some sold drinks, some sold toys for children. Anything and everything imaginable was being sold. These merchants would call out to you, trying to sell whatever it was they could. It was amazing what the village could put together in only a few weeks. Despite the cost, and amount of work, The Kage and other workers felt it was worth it when they could see their finished product. Over the cheers of screaming sports fans watching teams play each other in the small stadium that was built for the event, you could hear the wild wolves singing along with those of the people. Spring had come.
One of the newest additions to the village celebration was the Gambling Hut. The term hut was incorrect. The building was built to match the lavish casinos found in other places. The lighting was deem, and the over said speakers played calming music. Waiters walked around serving drinks from the well stocked bar, and small food from the kitchen. The tables were made out of the finest wood, while the fabrics were taken from the best in the village. Another thing you would notice when walking in, was the abundance of Anbu. While the village had Anbu all over the place, everyone was on guard, the Gambling hut seem to have a higher concentration of them.
The black Jack tables would be the first ones you come to. Each with its own card dealer, the table would have a small little table for you to place your food and drinks, so you wouldn't spill them on the card table. The tables would have a place for the money to be placed once the bets had been made. As a security measure, if you won, you had to take a ticket and go to a reception desk found in the back. There she would take the ticket, look it up on her computer and see how much you won. All the other attractions would work in the same way.
The black jack tables were in the front, but then the little red carpet would split, leading you to two different areas. To the right, the Slot machines would be found. to the left, you would head to the Wolf racing center. You would place your bets, and watch on screen how your wolf was doing during the race. The Wolf races..if you wanted to watch them in person, were located near the sports complex, on the other side of the village. Cheering fans would be found cheering on their picks, or cursing them for being so slow.
Last but not least, was the Grand Prize drawing the Yukikage herself was running. You could buy tickets, and pray to the gods above that she drew yours. The prize was money, plus weapons of the winners choice. Much talk had gone on about this. By the end of the celebration, they would all hope to be a few thousand Ryo richer. Win or lose, this would be a night to remember...
OOC: Ok guys! here it is! Go nuts! Remember this is a social event. So no fighting! Nothing more then a playful jab here and there. Refer to This thread!!![/U] before gambling and making your bets. Some important rules are in there that could affect your chances of winning. I have left this open enough for you to do just about anything. See a play, listen to a band, grab a bite with that special someone! I will be walking around as well, trying to interact with a few of you. Go!
