It seemed Runeska’s smooth talking caused another incident that alerted the young female for a different reason. A discerning eye looked her over amongst her panic and frenzy. Why had she changed so suddenly and loss the composure she’d for the most part kept until this point? That much baffled Runeska, until she began to ask questions, questions which he had caused to appear.
NOOOOOOOO!!!! YOU IDIOT!!! WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT? I don’t need someone I’ve just met inquiring so much about me. WHAT HAPPENED TO KEEP A LOW PROFILE WHEN WE’RE ON LEISURE!? Aclime was livid, to say the least.
Nice going loose lip fake. Now you have to do even more talking. Luckily for you, that’s something your loose trap flapping lips love to do. Akai on the other hand seemed to be apathetic to it, only caring because now, they perhaps couldn’t simply leave her.
Tch. It was one slip, and anyone with a bingo book or decent knowledge of the villages history and political standings could come to the same conclusion. You worry too much.
“Oh my, it seems I said too much. I don’t… normally have such a slip of the tongue, so I don’t know what possessed me. I usually like to keep a low profile amongst new faces, to prevent others from changing their behavior around me. See, look at yourself. You’ve all but lost your composure while I could simply be talking about a very minor political role. But yes, and I suppose it’d be better to speak instead of forcing you to keep your guard up. To be specific, I’m the former Sandaime from some years back. I think about 6 years. I’m also not quite as young as I look. I take great care of myself.” His tone shifted around an about from disappoint at his slip, to accusative, to apologetic. Of course, the only lie he did make was age to appearance. That, he wouldn’t explain without reason. Aclime wouldn’t forgive him.
Folding his arms a bit, Runeska went into thought on how to explain himself further to calm down Tsukiko. “Hm… no, I don’t believe it’s contagious, but I can’t really explain it. It’s not something you would go into detail with a new acquaintance about. But if you must know, I don’t think there would be a cure. I can only contain and manage my symptoms when they’re aggravated. Which is why I’ve been allowed to travel and apprentice a lot. It’s given me a fair share of mental discipline which I have needed at times.” Careful and skillfully looping half truths together with fact Runeska avoiding giving any answer to what his disease was, hoping that she might be satisfied with the willing information.
