Godric continued his study as he read over some of the more mundane plants. These generally were the plants that were meant to heal wounds. They were not interesting to Godric because he already had an amazing healing ability innate within his body already. So it was a quick ready, though until he was second guessing himself. He could in theory mix these herbs up with the other herbs and accidently pick a poisonous one rather than the one he wishes. That could serve as ill tidings should he wish to use it for whatever reason.

So rather than skimming through them, Godric reread them once again. This time he took note of what they were comprised of chemically. This gave him a clue as to how to harvest them should he ever choose to. The sap of a plant was a definite indication of what kind of plant it was, but one must first know where to find the most potent part of the plant first. That is why it was important to study such works. Thus reading them over he would start to compile a working knowledge of each individual plant.

Godric would read that most plants had their concentrated sap within the main stem of the plant. For trees it would need to take something called a tap and extract the fluid that way. But for most trees it was generally the nuts that were giving the poultice or salve needed for their chemical potions and salves.

Description: Once the blood is obtained, the user will perform the Hand Seals of every animal within the Chinese Zodiac in chronological order. Godric would have his sword. As instructed he had fasted for three days. This was a rather interesting aspect of this ritual as for him fasting was a rather draining situation. He could feel he was indeed fatigued and had felt that this was going to be a long night. Though he had prepared before hand as he had a few small critters caged up for after this blood awakening is performed. Thus he was ready to start the performance.

Taking the blade of the Benihimi Godric would need to give it his own blood. The challenge with this was that his body prevents bleeding. He had to ponder upon how he was to overcome this. He was thinking that he could drive it into his body and hoping he caught a vein so that the blade could drink directly from the source. But then a thought hit him as he knew he had two hearts. He could drive the blade into one of his hearts.

Now to anyone else this would be a bad plan, having two hearts or note, but for Godric he had an amazing healing ability so he was confident that he will be fine after this. So with the Crimson Princess in hand he placed the tip on his skin were his second heart was. Then he forcefully pushed until the blade started sinking into his skin. It was painful yet there was no blood.

Godric continued this until he could see blood starting to trickle down the blade. A quart of blood will be needed to be drunk by the weapon by the end of this. But the second part of this was to perform each handseal. Twelve in total Godric would perform the needed actions. Then he would wait in his pain as the sword drank from his lifeblood. The process of the blade taking it already started...

Godric could feel the blade digging into his side. This was were his second heart was placed. He felt a bit stunned from the experience but he could keep his concious due to his bodies amazing resilience and secondary organ systems. This helped him keep aware as the blade started to drink his blood. Looking down upon the blade he could not tell if the blood was crawling up the Benihime just yet.

The pain was red within his mind and Godric indeed found the irony within this. He was a blood drinker himself and having a weapon requiring such things was cracking a smile upon his face. He could tell that his blood was indeed starting to be sucked up upon the blade and he felt his head become slightly dizzy. His fatigued state indicated that he needed to feed soon and the last several days had definitely been a trial to this.

But Godric continued and he would see this through. He had already started the process and would let his body endure this stress. Looking upon the blade he could see that the blood had reached the halfway mark. This was a relief as he thought that he could pull it out soon. The blade had an appetite for sure. Perhaps it had a greater one than his own...

Godric was feeling that the pain was numbing. He was wondering if this was what it felt like when something was feasting upon ones blood. He could imagine his own victims going slack after a certain point during the feeding process. This Benihimi must have been devised by one of his kin. Who else would know how the mechanics of blood work better than a vampire.

In any case Godric still had to concentrate to block the pain from his mind. He could feel his second heart trying to pump blood, but the blade was severely stopping this. In fact it was still drinking his lifeblood. Its hunger was great, perhaps indeed it was greater than his. He himself only needed a liter of blood each night, but it seems this weapon had exceeded that already.

Focusing upon the blade Godric could see the slow crawl of blood going up the blade. He could see that it was nearly complete. But there was such a need and want to pull it form his side. It was painful and he himself was starting to eye the critters he had brought along. He was hungry and this blood loss was aggravating his situation. But he kept his eyes upon the Benihime as the blood reached the guard of the hilt.

Godric pulled the blade out. The blood had reached the hilt of the Benihime, it was now time for it to harden. Furthermore he would note that his own chakra aura had shifted to a red aura. So he was now linked to the weapon, though now it was time for it to rest and solidify this link upon its own accord.

This gave Godric time to recover from his strife. Though he must first crawl to the cages were he had kept his "food". It was a few squirrels that he had planned to feed upon after the blood letting. He was crawling and could feel his wound still agape. Though this would be short lived or so what he knew about his body.

The Crimson Princess was already shifting around the blood upon its blade as Godric had reached the cage. He opened it up and reached inside and grasped one of the small critters. The blade was still shifting around and was starting to form the ribbon on one portion of the blade.

Godric bit into the squirrel. It wasn't much blood that he could draw from it but the taste of blood simply was orgasmic within his mouth. He would take a nice big gulp but find that his hunger was already too great for this small critter. He could feel his wound already starting to close up as this was being done.

The Benihimi was continuing its process of hardening the blood. The ribbon was nearly complete as Godric reached over and grabbed for it. He would place it next to him so that he could keep a closer eye upon its progression. He sat up against a tree stump as he grabbed for the second cage.

Resting a bit as the effects of fatigue was still rooted inside him Godric would watch as the blade was still forming symbols and whatever else upon the blade. He knew a bit about what was going on but he could feel from his chakra that it was only growing more intense. Thus Godric would pull the second cage closer to himself.

Thus Godric could feel that his second heart was close to being repaired. It was an interesting feat for his organs to regenerate so quickly but for him it was nothing. But there was still a limit to this ability. This could only happen to one major organ per day and he had most definitely used up this regeneration to that extent.

As Godric opened the second cage he would see how the Benihime was doing. He could see the ribbon was fully formed and that there was still plenty of blood left to form other symbols. He watched as that blood danced upon the blade of the weapon itself. This blade he was already feeling was apart of him, had already tasted his own blood.

Speaking of which, Godric grabbed the squirrel from within this second cage. He would hold it tightly as it wiggled and squirmed within his grasp. He would bring it closer and closer to his mouth. As the blade would form the first triangle, Godric bit into this second squirrel. He would then take a big gulp as his blood hunger was finally quenched.

Godric would rest as he could feel some of his strength start to return to him. He could also feel his second heart to function normally. Though the wound itself was deep and still needed a bit more time to heal. Thankfully he was no longer bleeding as the wound was not great enough for that anymore.

The Benihime was still at play with the blood that it had taken from Godric. He would place his hand over the hilt and grip the blade. He could feel the warmth of his chakra emanating form the deadly tool. Though it had transformed from a simple tool to something else. It was like giving the dark gift to a sword rather than a living being.

Whom ever devised this weapon was a genius within Godric's eyes. His inner demon would make a few suggestions as to how to use it for the first time, but usually these suggestions involved the blood bath of victims. This of course was something that Godric wasn't entirely opposed to.

Godric would rest. He would feel his wound almost completely healing and closing. It was a deep cut so that is why it too so long. But as he rested the Benihime was close to its completion. The squirrel carcas that he had in hand would be thrown to the side. He had no desire to keep things that were of no use to him.

With his strength returning to him Godric started to stand. He was a bit shaky from the whole ordeal but he had come out still alive. When it came to blood rituals this was always a good thing. He would pick up the Benihime and note that most of the triangles would be nearly done forming. He would lean against the tree as more of his strength started to return.

Godric would see that the symbols and whatever else upon the blade was starting to harden. The actual forms that needed were complete, the final hardening process had started. His aura would now be a permanent read should anyone wish to view it. This would be a bit revealing to his own nature should someone else with to spy upon his nature. Though with a final look Godric would see the Benihime would be complete and thus he would give it it's name "Blood Drinker"

This is the basics, this enables the user to accurately defend, attack and counter basic movements or attacks which ranges from E to D type of attacks. (Reminder this does not mean that you godmod, it just means you are getting faster with the sword.)

Godric had his Benihime and he would start to lift it. In actuality he was a very strong person and the size of it was nothing to him. In fact it was more of a short sword if not of a tanto size to him. That was his own power but as he was swinging it around he already noticed that he had to practice at it. Every weapon is different but this one was a bit unique. He could tell that there was a certain kind of balance with the blade and he needed to find the exact point of balance. This way his swings would be a lot less awkward. Thus he would start with a few simple slices. He had a plethora of techniques he could try with this weapon but starting small was a must.

With the weapon in his grips Godric found that the weapon could be used with a certain hand placement. He was starting to choke up a bit on the handle of the blade slowly to find that exact point. If the weapon swung easier then he knew he was getting closer, but if it felt heavier than he would need to change his hand positioning. All in all he would shoot for first using both hands then for using a single hand. Both left and right hand were needed to be used as well so he did this for each set up. Repeating the process three times in total to get a feel for the blade.

Now he was to practice this with his other techniques so Godric got into his first position. He would feel the weight of the weapon and it felt like he was holding it correctly but there was always different variants to give it more power in these actions. So he went through some basic Kenjutsu maneuvers to get a feel for practical application of the blade. He would note and tweak that there would be a few kinds of strikes where he had to hold it in a different position. Even though it felt as if the swing was heavier it needed that extra power to even have legitimacy within the strike.

Continuing his regiment Godric would fly through the basics of kenjutsu with this blade. He would once again need to make a few adjustments but nothing to major. Now he wanted to see how this performed with his Santoryu training. There was a lot of odd positioning and hand placement with this style, in fact it was rather chaotic so the best he could do with this was get a feel for the random positioning of his hands while using the weapon. There were of course basic strikes with this style and he would use the weapon with this. The basics were easy enough to understand the blade the the advanced maneuvers already felt like they were going to bust his wrist.

So Godric would start to slowly go over this and find that he would slowly increase the technique. It was random hand placement for the most part because of the nature of the style so simply getting his wrist use to it was key. That was something he found out and was starting to emphasis this. To strengthen his wrist to use this weapon would give him an overall understanding of this weapon. So he performed his advanced techniques of Santoryu with the Benihime if only to strengthen his wrists. Of course he would start out slowly with each technique but would find he could speed up quickly. It was a rather liberating feeling as he found this work to become easier and easier...

Godric was starting to learn the inner workings of his Benihime. He was starting to find out that there was a chakra interaction with the blade itself. Though blood was a crucial component of it. He was pouring some chakra into the blade but was finding that it was doing nothing. He was wondering how to unlock its secrets and as such was trying to pour some chakra into his blood. The interaction was nothing to be seen so he had to change his evaluation. The ritual to awaken the blade was something tied to the blood so perhaps there was a component to activating such abilities. But his problem was that drawing blood from himself was a pain staking activity.

But there were plenty of murderers and criminals Godric could find within the village. And of course night time brought most of them out. So he hunted and indeed could find one that had recently run off from stealing from a house. Godric crept upon this burgler and quickly dispatched him. Pulling him to a secluded spot in the woods Godric would start to experiment with the blade. The man of course was knocked out so drawing some blood from him was easy enough. Godric simply bit into the man’s wrist and let it drain upon the ground. It was a small wound so there wasn’t much blood, only enough to experiment with.

Drawing the Benihime Godric would dip the tip into the small pool of blood. Thus he would observe what kind of interaction would start to happen. But soon he would find nothing, there was something else that had to be done perhaps. He was thinking that he needed to use some chakra like many things in this world. So sending chakra into the blade he would see what that would do. The blood upon the ground seemed like it would start to boil. The blood would then evaporate into nothingness. Then he tried to pour some chakra into the blade to see if he could start with whatever he could.

Once again the Benihime did not reveal its secrets. Godric was still pondering about this but he did know there was a component of blood that was needed. There was some interaction that happened with the blood and the blade. So he took this criminal and opened the wrist wound a bit more. A lot more blood spilled upon the ground and Godric too his Benihime in hand once again. Touching the tip of the blade into the pool of blood. Now what he noticed is when the blade touched the blood and was charged with chakra the blood on the ground simply boiled. So the blade had some power over the blood, but he had a feeling that the triangles on the blade had something to do with this.

So Godric rather than charging the whole blade would charge a single triangle with chakra. He would start to see that blood would start to try and climb up the blade. He would note and assume that the triangle was drawing it up but needed some assistance. So Godric was thinking he could charge the actual blood to draw it up to the triangle. So doing this he would witness some of the blood on the ground start to climb the blade. Then the first triangle would fill with this blood as if a bead of it. It then condensed upon it and it was stored. Noticing that there were eleven more triangles Godric would do this with the rest of them if not for more practice. By this time the criminal had been drained of most of his blood. there was enough left for Godric himself to feed upon the man. Another dark soul gone from his precious village...

Godric would start upon taking hits. This time he found himself within a bar fight. Who knows how he got here but he was up to pissing a bunch of people off once again. He had already taken a fist to the fast and was expecting more to the abdomen. He could feel his skin tighten up the strike was placed upon his cheek. He could feel the slight sting but it only lasted a very short while. The first thing these people had to do was get past his already present toughness which was to say the least not a very easy task. But in any even he threw out a few insults at a particularly large individual.

It was close to closing time and this man he had just insulted seemed to be the cook. Godric could see the apron and a very large rolling pin in the mans hand. To see this cook was a large fella would be awkward for Godric because he himself stands eight foot tall. But this made him a target for much of the other patrons within the establishment. Though it wasn’t focused on him and in general people were beating each other with a whole slew of strikes and bar weaponry. Thus a slam to the side of his rib cage with the rolling pin. Normally he could dodge many of these attacks but that was not his objective.

These fights break out periodically within some of the shabbier sections of the village of Stone. Godric just had to wait out a bit to catch one of them. This time he felt a few more punches to his side. He felt one of his kidneys shift a bit as the pain started to well. He was actually feeling the pain which was a good indication that he was being pummeled for sure. But endurance was key and he would stand tall. The only thing he really had to worry about was if one of these people were to grapple in to the ground. But he only really encounters that when he aggravates an entire room. As it stands he was only facing off with a few individuals.

Pushing someone away from him had costed Godric a strike against his leg. This other man was shorter on the scale of average heights so the natural uppercut from such a man had landed the hit against his hip. It was another painful strike but he felt the mans wrist buckle as he stood his ground. He found he could tighten his muscles to give an added extra strength against such force. But now he was already witnessing that the fight was escalating. He positioned himself against a wall so that one one could sneak up upon him. There were bottles being broken over a few heads and he felt that would be a bit much against him.

But none the less Godric would feel the force of a bottle against his person. It struck against the side of his head. No matter his efforts to curve the sneaky bastards that find opportunistic shots, he found he had been out done by one of them. Though he was not exactly trying to avoid such strikes, in some cases he invited it. In any case he could feel the bottle slam into the side of his head and shatter. A shower of glass and alcohol sprayed across the bar room floor. He felt for just a moment disoriented and dazed as he was figuring out just what had happened. Though his sense would return rather quickly as even a solid object was almost no match for his tough skull.

Godric was really starting to feel the effects of what was going on around him. More apparent was the going ons of his own body. He was starting to really feel the pain as he had struck back against the group. He had sent a message to the room that he was the biggest threat to anyone as he throw a patron across the bar itself. A mess of bottles, glass and liquid had sprayed in all sorts of direction. As this happened a whole slew of them started to immediately target him. Plenty of strikes to the mid section was the first of his beat down. He found that some of the strikes were far more heavier than others.

Bruises for sure and a sore back was what Godric was thinking. The next night he was going to have to find some one extra plump and extra murderious to quench his rage right now. It was like holding someone back as others beat upon them. He was purposefully not reacting to the torment that he was enduring. He was letting his body get use to such things as yet more strikes came sailing his way. His head bobbled a few times and the ache of the strikes to the face was an immediate reminder that he had to tense his muscles before the strikes happened. Yet this was no easy thing as doing just that meant having to know were the strikes were coming from.

This was one of the things that he had no control over, this as Godric would take the strikes. He was even starting to block as his body was naturally reacting to the fight. He was starting to push more and more people away as he was starting to become mobbed. Now being the focus of the fight he had to defend himself or else be completely wrecked by the onslaught of angry patrons. He would feel a few shots to his rib cage once again and winched in pain. He dropped down to a knee and had to brace for strikes against his back. Shrapnel of wooden splinters doused the floor as a chair had been struck against his back.

This took the wind out of him and Godric had to place a hand against the ground to brace himself up. He was definitely feeling the effect of the strikes against him at this point and the fight was only starting to kick up. For the next few minutes he had received the brunt of the anger of the bar as he was being focused upon. He could feel kicks and whatever else being inflicted upon his body. He did the best he could to push people away from himself else he be completely defenseless. It appeared that there would be no end to this and that he was going to have to endure it all.

It was a miracle that Godric was not bleeding yet but it seemed that the mob would not stop until they had seen some blood. Thus more strikes and more defending himself had commenced. It was like a rainfall of fists and feet as he did all he could to try to block. But it wasn’t enough by any means and he was sitting there bracing himself against the ground. This was insanity for sure and he was the focus of all of it. He had brought this upon himself and by choice, whom in their right mind would even do this. Well Godric would be one of these as he considers this a type of training. More strikes and one to the head as that dazed and familiar feeling returned to him. He could simply only endure such punishment as he tried out out last the rage of the crowed.

Chiyoku (Bloodbath)

Skill: Taijutsu
Effect: Causes a burst of blood to drench an area in front of the user.
Special: Slicing horizontally towards the target area. Uses a number of blood beads as determined by the user.
Drawback: The amount of blood capable of being created by the technique is dependent upon the rank of the technique. Need to know other Chiyoku techniques before this one is capable of doing anything besides drenching an area with blood.
Description: Chiyoku (Bloodbath) is a basic attack meant to cover an area with blood. This blood can be used with other Chiyoku techniques to attack the opponent. In order to perform the attack, the user will focus their chakra within a number of blood beads, with the number being up to the user. Then, slashing horizontally with Benihime, the user will release a fast-moving wave of blood that splatters a cone area in front of the user. At "C" Rank, each blood bead is capable of completely covering one meter. At "B" Rank, each blood bead is capable of completely covering five meters. At "A" Rank, each blood bead is capable of completely covering ten meters. The movement is incredibly quick, making it difficult to dodge.

Now what to do with the blood beads upon his weapon, Godric thought to himself. Well he thought he could see what they were capable of. So the most basic use with such a weapon is charge it with chakra. He felt his chakra already manifesting within his body as he looked upon the blade. The thought came to him that if he charged the entire blade, then all the beads would activate. Now since he didn’t have much of a clue as to how this worked, then perhaps charging the entire sword was not a wise thing. So it wasn’t much chakra that he would draw from himself, only enough to charge the first portion of the blade.

Godric was targeting that first beat that he saw. To charge that portion of the blade would be the first step or so he thought. Perhaps simply to use one bead to display some sort of fantastic feat. Then he could develop it into something greater. Yes that should be work out just fine, he thought to himself. He was already trying to push chakra into the sword and came across his first hurdle. He found that charging the bead of blood was a rather sticky situation. The blood was not accepting the chakra. There could be a few issues as to why this was happening. Godric was thinking right away that there was a certain way to mold his chakra for this.

This was the most common problem when starting out with a chakra technique. Godric had to figure out the nature of the chakra that he needed to use. He felt he had to use something like that of blood since this weapon felt as if it was tied to the blood like an element. So he would use a flowing type of chakra but not so much like water. There would be a viscous form to it and he already would be pushing this into the blade. He would note that the bead would start to suck the chakra toward it. He felt that this was indeed the first step in introducing something grand. He was wondering the limits of a single bead and thus tried to thrust as much chakra into it as he could.

But how was he to tell that it reached its limits, Godric thought to himself. He was trying to ponder what kind of mark he was to use as he would pushing more chakra toward the bead. Then he noticed something, the bead itself stopped sucking up chakra. This was actually a good marker to set. Since he figured the bead itself told him that it was full much like how his blood hunger worked or in fact the hunger of this blade. Thus he was starting to ponder what he could do with a charged bit of this blood bead. He was wondering what the nature of the bead would look like should he simply fling it in a direction. What kind of form it would take. Most likely he was thinking that it would mimic the nature of water but to a slightly less degree.

So in this respects Godric was starting to manipulate the link that he had created with the weapon itself. He could tell the ribbon was tied to his chakra system and he could use that to pull the charged bead to it. So he would do this and find the bead had moved to that portion of the blade. Then he started to slowly swing around the sword to see what would happen. He would see the bead moving around upon the ribbon. Then he had a thought well he already had the thought, but to fling the bead away from his person and observe what it does. So with this he flung his sword in a horizontal manner and witnessed what the bead did. It seemed it had launched from the blade and came into contact with the ground. What he witnessed was interesting to say the least.
