Settetionale; a small hamlet of a couple hundred people all living calmly on the northern border of Stone country. Nearby the town a small lake, fed from mountain streams, provides fish and water to the town and also clay beds for the townsfolk to eek a living from. The border town, rather used to having travelers come through it's gates and leave the next day, has several inns and highway-houses of fair and ill repute. The large market in the center of the hamlet provides a center for the small amount of commerce that goes on. Of course; like all towns in Stone country, there is a great deal of forest around the place, such is the lay of the land.

Settionale; the first town on their list and perhaps the largest. It was, to all intents and purposes, self sufficient, but Victor knew the cracks of commerce when he saw them. Traders with heavy carts were constantly coming in and out of the hamlet, mostly carrying stone fit to build structures. Towns were ever expanding and a small hamlet like this with no access to a quarry of any kind would need to import a constant supply of bricks or stone to meet it's needs. The forested area surrounding the town provided ample lumber and firewood, but these simple people liked stone houses to keep them warm in the winter.
The road they had been travelling on was smooth and well kept, clearly an oft used highway between the various towns, Callibrae to the south had a quarry, but little in the way of local fresh water, perhaps a natural trade route? He shifted his gaze to his travelling partner, the road had not been a long one, closer were they to the academy then they had been at Occindale. And it was only mid morning as they approached the township.
His armour was still in it's saddle bags, he'd need to get it out soon and equip himself so as to hide his face from the townsfolk, presenting the same image of himself to each town felt important, though he couldn't be sure why. His sword was hanging from his side in it's scabbard and his shield was hanging diagonally across his back on it's harness, weighing down one of his shoulders. Finally his two knives were in their usual sheaths, one at his chest, the other on his leg.
They'd been silent during the trip, though he could not honestly attribute the fault to ever one of them. His stubbornness and her haughty nature had somehow joined forces and conspired to prevent them speaking. Unfortunately his stubbornness was not yet spent and he was determined not to be the one to break the silence unless absolutely necessary.
So they travelled on in silence and Victor was uncomfortable and grumpy the whole damn time.
