Aimi sat alone, prepared, the shadow of the Colosseum keeping him cool. He sat with his head bent forward, meditating over the fight that was to come. Who was he fighting? What would they use against him? He didn't know, but he'd come prepared for anything. Sword at his side, butt bag filled with various supplies from wire to paper bombs, Aimi breathed deep and prepared to fight for his life... and to end his opponents, as per the rules of the Colosseum.
The gates were raised and Aimi looked up down the hall to where the light bled through. It was time. Getting up from his bench, the young man stepped forward towards the arena with trepidation. His heart was racing with excitement. He felt lighter than air and yet his foot steps felt as mountains quaking the earth beneath him. He stepped out of the gates and into the arena, looking around. Nine pillars surrounded the circular enclosure, each one reaching so far up into the sky that they couldn't be seen. It was night out, and the stars were plentiful. At the base of these pillars was a stone statue of a hooded and cloaked figure, each one in a slightly different pose. The arena floor was marble andd carved with ornate designs. There was nary a mark on its surface, and yet it was cluttered with all sorts of obstacles from boxes to boulders. All around the arena, save for a small platform leading from the gate to the stadium, was a moat of water. How deep couldn't be discerned. There were torches everywhere, illuminating every corner and making sure there were little to no shadows to hide in.
Stepping off of the platform and onto the marble stage, Aimi looked out across from his position to where his opponent would be exiting from to come and face him. The platform behind him collapsed and fell into the water. The gate shut. Now they were stuck there until one of them died. Aimi stood perfectly still, awaiting his opponents arrival.

The blade was soft iron and dull because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Normally only the tip would have been sharpened. The uses to which a kunai was put would have destroyed any heat-treated and sharpened tool like a knife.
