Kaishin Alexis:
Accepting the glass the woman would sip from it considerably slower than the girl would down the bottle. Slow enough to barely finish the glass by the time the bottle was so far done it could be used as a (very poor) telescope. Of course no reason to join in the other activities intiated by Alexis either, leaving to woman to whoop along with the girl before ushering her up the stairs with ”You should really go up now, the zeppeling is almost ready to leave!”
Image In the Falls:
The woman would chuckle, the innocence of the sound clearly being an illusion that she was playing to be stupid, a thing she clearly did not seem to be. ”Maybe I should have, almost missed out on that voice. You can call me cherry pie. Now, up you go!~” She cooed in response, clearly you hit the right note there.
Fui:
It was clear and plain and evident (Yay, synonyms, polysyndeton and a useless summation of three!) that it would be impossible to get the stag on board of the blimp. And even if that were to be achieved it would be highly unlikely that the creature would be comfortable at such a height in a moving vehicle. ”You can leave him here with me, I’ll take good care of him. I am very experienced with stag…. Things.” Whatever that was supposed to mean would remain a mystery, but the woman at least seemed to know what she was doing to a certain degree, other than continuously yanking your chain.
All:
Once everyone had settled comfortably inside the airship the rope ladder would retract on its own and a hatch would close over the hole in the floor, leaving everyone just a bit safer inside as with a soft and low hum the engines would kick into life. In front of the cigar shaped vehicle the rope that had tethered it to the floor would start to drop as it was unlatched, leaving everyone in the hands of the pilot. Whomever that might be. With a rumble the propellers that actually moved the craft would start to spin, sending an almost unnoticeable shiver through the construction of the craft as it kicked into motion. Around you the world start to spin slowly as the zeppelin redirected its nose in the correct direction, before the sound of the engines would change as instead of turning the aircraft they would start to actually move the floating contraption forward. And then for half an hour nothing as the earth glided slowly below you.
Two of the waitresses would suddenly stop serving after this amount of time had passed, moving to the back wall and opening the double door in the centre there. Behind it sat a giant of a man, his skin black and his head bald. A pair of pince-nez sunglasses adorned his nose and covered his eyes in which you could see yourself reflected. Under his black leather trenchcoat he wore nothing but black, sporting a dress shirt, slack pants and heavily polished dress shoes. He would lean backwards in his black leather chair, a chalice on either side of him on a high pedestal, reaching chest level.
Folding his hands in front of his breast the man would open his mouth and from it would flow a most authoritative voice. ”The Chuunin Exam. Do you want to know what it is? The exam is everywhere, all around us. It is a crowning achievement. A show of that you were able to go through hell and back again. That you are a person worthy of command. People will entrust their lives to you if you survive this ordeal. There is only one truth, and I can hear you ask, ‘what truth?’ That you are a slave my dear Genin, as long as you do not promote. Born into bondage, born into a prison of miserable ‘D’ and ‘C’-ranked missions. A prison, for your capabilities…”
At this point, almost unnoticeable the man had leaned forward ever so slightly with every word he said, until his chin almost touched his hands at this point. Taking a deep breath he would lean back in his chair again. ”Unfortunately I cannot simply tell you what challenges await you. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back.” The man would wave his hand in the direction of the chalice at his left hand side. ”You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe.” Retracting his left hand the man would now gesture with his other hand towards the chalice on his right hand side. "You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.” Leaning back in his chair the man would clasp his hands again, his reflective sunglasses eerily peering into the room. ”Remember: all I'm offering is the chance to become a Chuunin. Nothing more.” And then with his right hand he would start pointing at each and every one of you in turn and beckoning you to come over one at a time to make a choice. Last chance to chicken out.
