Tournament Stage 2

The second stage for the tournament. Reserved for Mikutashi and Shouta Onigami, Champions of the God of Hunting and the God of Tricks respectively, this stage features a marble platform that stands two meters from the ground and comprises and area of one-hundred cubic meters. At the corners of the platform rise four giant pikes of the same marble material. These spires rise from the ground like giant kunai, reaching a height of eighty meters above the ground. The area around the platform is loose dirt and short grass. In the distance several small mountains and large boulders covered with moss can be seen but for the most part the entire area was flat. The horizon seemed to stretch on forever, endless. Not a drop of water could be seen and the air whilst breezy was rather dry. The sun hung overhead radiating an intense heat, the temperature was easily in the high thirties (Celsius).

Mikutashi and Shouta would have appeared opposite one another on the marble arena, approximately one-hundred meters from each other. They would find the floor strong and polished, but not slippery. It was ideal for moving around quickly and maintaining grip.

There was no other side of the portal, it had either vanished or such a thing had not existed in the first place. Shouta found himself here alone and decided to spend this time looking around. A small, raised platform in the middle, surrounded by dry grasslands and a few, small steppes. Shouta could find no water for his parched throat. He arched back his shoulders, letting the pack slide from them. Inside was a 6-inch Length Flashlight, three surveillance spikes, twenty-nine small tracers, two wireless radios, a complicated electronic compass, a 20-piece lock pick set, a comic book [Adventures of Bat-Man! #42], a reference book [Black Dragons, Ruminations on Accursed Drakes and Dragons], and finally an old dictionary [Abyssal Lexicon, Ver. IX]. He found the sun reflecting off his Sound headband. He tightened the backpack up and let it sit at his feet.

There was plenty of Earth around which would satisfy his Doton techniques. No sign of humans or human settlement. He wondered briefly if he was still back in his home realm. The reality of his situation had not yet hit him, neither the part about the death march nor the impossibly large Gods that had asked them to fight here.

I could die here.

He shook his head, a physical attempt to push the thought out of his mind. He had a feeling that nobody was going to die, that this was all some trick. That if he were on death's doorstep, Vadsum would somehow pop out of the air and insist that it was all a joke the entire time. Or some test. Shouta wondered about the consequences if he and his opponent both refused to fight.

But any second now his opponent would appear, and he would have no choice but to kill him. It was a solemn moment.

Suikou re-materialized in a matter of moments as he opened his eyes to the surrounding battlefield As he focused and saw the challenger before him, he noted him as the last arrival. That kid; he looked weak, almost timid. Mikutashi managed a swift smirk as he clutched his left hand together. Over his lean muscle, starting around his left pectoral down his entire arm had been a black-metal claw-gauntlet; it winced under the tension of his muscle strain; with careful retraction patterns, he seemed to loosen the apparatus. The poncho had been discarded as a brief wind roused up, revealing to his opposite the tanto at his right side; the red crest of the fan was visible, as the ex-nin was dressed in all-black. The shozoku was sleeveless, and he wore dirtied high boots over them. One could clearly see the physical state of the man, and surmise that he was a rogue; his flesh had been tanned and his hair rigid.

A medium sized disk was in arm's reach, placed at his back and at semi-circle. Other weaponry he had on him consisted of scores of exploding tags - with a few electrical and incendiary variants; and also hira-shuriken, and one kunai.

He was anxious; he stared down his opponent, awaiting the signal.

Tournament Stage 2

Facing one another for the first time as enemies, these two warriors set upon this marble platform were under the watchful eye of the Goddess of Governance. By her keen eye, every move they make would be noted and recorded in the history of the Gods, even the defeated would be hailed a hero. The wolf against the dead. Hunter against trickster. An interesting match up, from the heavens themselves a message would hit the two like a freight train of emotion. No words were spoken, no sound heard. Only the notion.

[The Creator]

The wind tugged lightly on the dark robes of the Sound Genin as the sun shone down on particularly barren land. The marble gleamed with a polished glow and did not reflect the dilapidated coliseum they had originally been taken to. Across from it was a man in dark robes with a wild look about him. Seamlessly activating his doujutsu, Shouta decided to inspect the man further. As the colors brightened and the shadows deepened, the red eyes of Tasukeru regarded Suiko with dangerous consideration. He was a man of many talents, apparently, for he sported several types of weapons. The claw was a grizzly machination, reaching all the way up to his chest, wrapping around his shoulder with a gleam that reflected the sun's light. It was made out of a dark metal, perhaps iron, which Shouta was forced to assume could extend using a chain apparatus. At his side was a fan and a tanto, both which indicated that the man before him was capable in long and short range combat. Upon his back was a disc of steel, one that Shouta had never before seen in combat.

But Shouta was not one to rely on first impressions. He wished to test this man's mettle. With what ranges was he capable? With what ranges was he comfortable (and therefore uncomfortable)? How strong are his techniques? He hatched a plan, considering the alternatives but ultimately choosing against them, in which he would see what this man was capable of.

Shouta would hop back ten or so meters until he was standing on the earth. While earth techniques could easily break through the marble arena, he would not be able to turn it to mud. Standing on the earth, he would.

Performing the handseals in plain sight, the ground around was transformed by Shouta's Doton release. The rocks began to grind themselves into a muddy paste in a 10x10m area, burying the small grass with its brown torrent. Performing another string of handseals, a pillar of mud, hard at its center but drizzled with thick mud on its outermost layer, would shoot up 10 meters directly in front of Shouta, blocking him from view. While the pillar was still shooting up, Shouta would quickly perform another set of handseals, summoning a shadow clone. This shadow clone would quickly appear and leap up onto the mud pillar to face the enemy while the real Shouta would perform three handseals and disappear beneath the mud, utilizing Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu.

With Shouta hidden underground, the shadow clone would perform a set of handseals with great dexterity. From the pillar of spilling mud, senbon made of earth (pulled from deeper under the earth and through the pillar of mud using the clone's knowledge of Doton) would fly out at the rogue shinobi, testing his speed. 30 senbon in all would be delivered at the pace of a typical thrown weapon.

Shouta purposely was using weak attacks. He knew of much stronger ones, ones that could destroy the battlefield and everything around it, but he would save those. He wished to know of the man's weaknesses and techniques before he revealed them. Should the man be hiding something too that could counter his techniques, it would end poorly for the Sound nin. With those techniques, he only had one shot. So he would bide his time, and hope that his opponent was forced to play his best cards first.

Tasukeru (Seeing Life) (250m radius)
Rank: C, B, A, S (x2)
Skill: Doujutsu
Effect: Allows a full three hundred and sixty (360) degree field of vision and some predictability to physical attacks. Unlike Byakugan, the user sees life in its normal colors during this tech, no details spared. Signs of life, thermal readings and X Ray vision is near perfect. Can also read a determine the difference of a regular shinobi to that of one with a bloodline or if they house any foreign presence by the different chakra waves displayed when observed through Tasukeru. This does not mean one knows the BL right away. Must have encountered the BL before in order to know exactly who they are. The ‘C’ ranked version grants the user up to 50 meters of observing. Each new rank for the Jutsu will add 50 more meters. This can be trained multiple times after all the ranks are achieved in order to add 50 meters onto one’s total. Each extra training is worth an S ranked training.
Special: Although one is born with this jutsu, one must activate the eyes through training.
Drawback: Heavy chakra drain over time, especially when multiple phases of the Tasukeru are accessed. While Taijutsu can be predicted, the Onigami are not designed to have fast twitch muscles. As such, perfect blocking simply won’t happen all the time.
Description: Summoned through will, the scarlet eyes of the Onigami will grow a very vibrant neon red and all life becomes theirs to fully observe. Once activated, the user has a three hundred and sixty (360) degree field of vision, as well as the ability to see into other people’s bloods. For those allied to an Onigami, this jutsu is revered for making the Onigami known as the ultimate scouts.
Limit: Must be part of the Onigami BL.

Deido Nohara no Jutsu (Mud Field)

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Causes the area (10m x 10m) around the user, given that it is earth and stone, to become mud.
Special: Rat, Dog, Boar
Drawback: It does not work in certain environments, such as tile and metallic floors.
Description: After the hand signs are performed, the user slams his/her hands into the ground. If the environment allows it, the area around the user will become a thick and heavy mud. No chakra is required to maintain the state of the area.
Limit: Earth Release, Water Release

Deido Hashira no Jutsu (Mud Pillar)
Rank: D
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: A pillar of mud fires out of a muddy area aimed from below a target. It reaches a max of 10 meters.
Special: Dog, Rat
Drawback: It needs mud in the area to be used.
Description: The user fires a burst of mud out of a muddy area. This technique is not very damaging and was designed to impair or stall a target so the user can close in on them. It can be used in tandem with the Deido Sakana no Jutsu.
Limit: Earth Release

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Technique)

Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: This technique creates clones of the user. However, these clones are actual copies, not illusions.
Special: "Clone Seal"
Drawback: The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power.
Description: The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after 1 or 2 solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original. Shadow clones cannot be distinguished from the actual person even by the Byakugan because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance. A characteristic that is unique to the Shadow Clone Technique is that any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. This makes the technique ideal for spying, since the user can simply send a clone to spy on a target, then have the clone disperse itself without returning to pass the information back to the user. (Cannot gain extra training points through training with Shadow clone.) User is able to make up to 5 clones at a time. Takes the amount of time to perform a "B" Rank Jutsu. Shadow Clones may travel between different threads within the same board.
Limit: Universal NinJutsu Technique. Must be Chūnin or gain Village Scroll.

Doton - Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Double Suicide Decapitation Technique)

Skill: NinJutsu / TaiJutsu
Effect: A technique where the user hides within the ground for a brief moment to surprise attack the opponent from under ground.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: The user takes the time to push into the ground by using their Earth Release. The user pushes into the ground quickly so that to be used against the opponent later on. The user at this point cannot necessarily move within the ground at this moment, but the user does know by feel of when an opponent is right above. When an opponent is right under the user reaches up to take the opponent and drag them back down to the ground in one fell swoop without movement or notice. The opponent is unable to move for one post and the user is capable of slamming out of the ground with one movement.
Limit: Needs the Earth Release

Doton Senbon Soushi no Jutsu (Earth Senbon Creation Technique)

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Creates Senbon out of the earth and fires them at the opponent.
Special: "Hand Seals"
Drawback: Must be learned more and more in order to be capable of performing better, and capable of producing more Senbon. Cannot be used on Sand.
Description: Forming the hand seals, the User begins to use the Earth Creation Technique to form Senbon in the ground wherever they choose. These Senbon can then fire from the ground at the same speed and strength as if someone had thrown it. These earthen Senbon are shaped like those that are sold in stores and are just as sharp. At D rank, this jutsu forms five Senbon wherever the caster wants. This can be five in different spots, or five all together. The D rank can be learned 4 times for 20 Senbon. Then this jutsu can be learned C rank for 10 more and then B rank for 20 more. Fifty Senbon (after learning 4 D, 1 C, and 1 B rank Jutsu) can be fired from all around the opponent, aimed wherever the caster chooses.
Limit: Earth Release.

Reactive. The nuke nin watched across the impressive 100-meter gap and went on to observe his opponent. Was the boy backing away? Mikutashi studied him as long as he could; that is, right before a muddy pillar burst forth from the ground. This was Earth Release.

Miku didn't do much but analyze his foe. He had emerged from behind the earth pillar and completed hand seals with a great speed; from this distance, the ex-ninja could hardly see, but instinct and understanding went in hand, with how quickly this boy was completing ninjutsu. Over a small frame of time, the pillar started to diminish, but Miku didn't know why. He could see the boy reaching eye level a top the pillar; what was his purpose?

On the wind, something came -- with an exceptional eye and ears, he noticed the slow-moving horde. These needles had been so many in number that they were clearly visible in the arena. Not only that, but the distance had been far too ridiculous for such a technique to manage to hit him. What game was this kid playing?...

Mikutashi quickly moved to his left, two-meters with nimble poise; immediately after, he completed a string of handseals. His chakra resonated with his flesh as he touched his hands together again, and he disappeared from total sight. The Genjutsu had been cast on self, and veiled his next movements. He knew that this large space between them gave the other an advantage, especially if he could cast -jutsu from a far. The nuke-nin needed to get closer, and rushed the boy with so graceful a step, that no sound was produced; he tip-toed with alacrity on marble floors. During this time, he reach for hira-shuriken [3] and went further to attach an explosive note to one of them. His eyes leered against his opponent, who was still on the falling mud rise, now about fifty meters a part.

Invisibility

Skill: GenJutsu
Effect: Makes the target they touch invisible.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: ---
Description: Affects anyone who sees the target. The user is able to perform this technique on the target they touch. The duration of this technique lasts for 5 minutes per class level. This technique may be negated. The creature or object touched becomes invisible, vanishing from sight, even from darkvision. If the recipient is a creature carrying gear, that vanishes, too. If the user performs the Jutsu on someone else, neither the user nor their allies can see the subject, unless they can normally see invisible things. Items dropped or put down by an invisible creature become visible; items picked up disappear if tucked into the clothing or pouches worn by the creature. Light, however, never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so (thus, the effect is that of a light with no visible source). Any part of an item that the subject carries but that extends more than 10 feet from it becomes visible, such as a trailing rope. Of course, the subject is not silenced, and certain other conditions can render the recipient detectable (such as stepping in a puddle). The Jutsu ends if the subject attacks any opponent. For purposes of this Jutsu, an attack includes any Jutsu targeting a foe or whose area or effect includes a foe. Actions directed at unattended objects do not break the Jutsu. Causing harm indirectly is not an attack. Thus, an invisible being can open doors, talk, eat, climb stairs, summon and have them attack. If the subject attacks directly, however, it immediately becomes visible along with all its gear.
Limit: Must know the Glamour Perception.

Shouta's shadow clone watched as the ninja gracefully stepped past the hail of senbon, moving a couple meter's to the clone's right, and immediately after, began to perform handseals. Shouta waited patiently under the mud, waiting for the clone's report, but learned nothing and heard nothing. The shadow clone, on the other hand, watched as the enemy completed the handseals and touch his hands together. Then, he vanished. The Shadow Clone immediately understood that the enemy was proficient in Genjutsu, an important fact to learn, and probably would supplement his taijutsu charges with some illusions in order to catch his opponent off guard.

Shouta's shadow clone quickly performed handseals, manipulating the Onigami's natural resistance to mind-altering chakra, expanding his own about him, and recognizing the foreign patterns that were emanating towards him. With that realization, the genjutsu was broken, and he could see the enemy again, this time prowling closer with nimble feet. In his hand he held a hira-shiruken with an explosive tag attached.

It appeared as if his opponent was hesitant to aggress, he had prepared an attack but he did not commit to it. What was his game? Was he attempting to scout his opponent out, just as Shouta was? The ball was now in the Shadow Clone's court but he had expected some path of attack by the opponent. No, it wouldn't matter, it was time for him to move into an aggressive stance. As the pillar finally collapsed under its own weight, the Shadow Clone deftly leapt into the mud below. Another string of handseals would result in the sudden thickening of the air. As if a cloud had lowered itself onto the ground, a thick mist would suddenly cut Shouta's clone off from view.

He has no Doujutsu, there is no reason to use demonic illusions. But if he does, then we will be prepared. Luckily, Tasukeru can see through this mist even though he cannot.

Shouta's clone would note the enemy's distance, about fifty meters, and even should the enemy go invisible without any way of further detection, the mud around them would force the enemy to produce sound when treading upon it. Though the enemy was nimble, the clone was willing to bet he was not nimble enough to cross 5 meters of mud without making a sound. And even if he did, Shouta was underground, waiting, watching.

Performing another set of handseals, the clone would push his hands into the mud. It would be difficult work controlling stone from the mud, the connection to the stone was muddled and unresponsive, but it would still work. Out of the earth, beyond the mud but still covered by the mists, would arise a stone golem, 4 meters tall, made of thick rock whose hardness would withstand even the hardest of attacks from the enemy. With the clone watching, he would learn more of the enemy's movements. He would be forced to either do one of three things: he would be forced to use one of his strongest techniques to defeat the golem. So dense was the rock of which it was made up it would be very difficult to destroy it without using one's full power. Or he would be forced to back away, constantly on the run from the golem which did not seem like a good plan in the long term which eventually led him to the last option, dodge the golem and make a path straight for the controller: the shadow clone.

The Golem would pop up out of the ground, forty meters from the opponent, then emerge from the thick mists at about thirty-five meters. The thing was relatively giant in stature and so its appearance might very well have a demoralizing effect on the opponent. Shouta's clone would command it to charge directly at the opponent, preparing an overhead haymaker upon arrival. Of course the enemy would not remain in the same position and perhaps even attempt to use his Hira-Shiruken (which, if aimed at Shouta's clone, would suffer the effect of not knowing precisely where his opponent is.) in order to disable the golem. Waiting for the enemy's next move, Shouta and his clone would wait and watch.

Drawback: Must be learned several times.
Description: The user is now capable not only to expand their own chakra by using the bloodlimit's skills, but this time they are capable to "feel" what's around them by using said chakra. This is used to identify a disrupt of chakra around them, in other words, Genjutsu. By identifying the Genjutsu around them the user is capable to break it the same way they identified the Genjutsu, this means that the Genjutsu breaks at the very moment the user notices it. The "D" version only works with "E" Genjutsus, the "C" with "D" or lower and so.
Limit: Must be part of the Onigami Bloodlimit. Must know Tasukeru (Seeing Life). Must know Yasha Gensou (Demonic Illusions).

Kirigakure no Jutsu (Hidden Mist Skill)

Effect: A Skill where a user uses the water around them to create a massive mist to fill around the user.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: ---
Description: A skill which creates a very dense fog that descreases the surrounding visibility to near zero. It produces an environment perfect for a silent assassin who follows an opponent through sound. This mist can not be blown away by any type of Wind Jutsu.
Limit: Water Release


Ishikyojin Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Stone Golem Summoning) [Durability = 9 "C"-Ranks + 1 "B"-Rank]

Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: The user gains the capability of understanding, and creating an amount of Golem like stone creatures to fight forth against on coming opponents. The Golems are to be considered as large Slow like creatures that are moved by the chakra the user pushes through in order to create and sustain.
Special: "Hand Seals"
Drawback: The more that the user knows the more golems the user is capable of creating forth. Hands must stay along the ground at all times depending on the Difficulty class of the User. If the user is D Difficulty, class the hands of the user must stay along the ground at all times. If the user is C Difficulty Class, the hands can be removed for six seconds before they must put their hands back along the ground. For every Difficulty class above C, the number of seconds the hands can be removedincreases by six. These Golems are extremely slow so techniques like the After Image will not be able to be seen and understood.
Description: The user creates a few hand seals as they slam their hands down against the ground. Doing so, the user is capable of creating a Giant Golem made out of stone at the size of four meters high. The golems are slow, but extremely resourceful against TaiJutsu like attacks. Each Class up the user becomes the stronger the Golems become in order to be capable of withstanding certain amounts of attacks. At D Difficulty class, the Golems are capable of withstanding Three D Rank TaiJutsu techniques. At C Difficulty Class, the golems are capable of withstanding up to Three "C" Rank Jutsus before suddenly shattering. At B Difficulty Class, the Golems are capable of withstanding up to Six "C" Rank Jutsus before suddenly shattering. At A Difficulty Class, the Golems are capable of withstanding up to Nine "C" Rank Jutsus before suddenly shattering. At S Difficulty Class, the Golems are capable of withstanding up to Twelve "C" Rank Jutsus before suddenly shattering. Each time relearned, the user is capable of pushing through yet another Golem, but one Golem must come out every six seconds with a maximum amount of 4 additional golems.
Limit: Needs the Earth Release.

Earth Mastery
Rank: B, A, S
Skill: Passive
Effect: Causes earth based techniques to develop a natural hardness, more so than what the standard ability would allow.
Special: ---
Drawback: This does not negate the natural effects of enemy attacks. Example: While a fire jutsu may not instantly destroy something created, it can still burn it.
Description: Earth Ninjutsu, typically, are based around defense. After much time and dedication, the user understands how to enhance these defensive capabilities even further, hardening their techniques to, at times, and ridiculous strengths. At B-rank, the users techniques harden to the point of iron, and are capable of withstanding a C-rank’s worth of damage before the damage begins to affect the technique. At A-rank, the techniques retain the hardness of steel, capable of withstanding a B-ranks worth of damage. At S-rank, the techniques become as hard as titanium, capable of withstanding an A-ranks worth of damage before they are affected as normal.
Limit: Earth Release. Once the user has gained 500 TP in Doton Ninjutsu, this skill is gained automatically. A rank is gained when 750 TP has been obtained, and S rank when 1000 TP has been gained.

Had he misread his opponent? While still under the affect of his invisibility genjutsu, Miku moved further, at forty meters now, towards the Doton-user. He witnessed his opponent slip underneath the soil; had he been able to see through the illusion, he thought; Mikutashi, still irrational, rushed further in --- he had pushed forward with such exceptional speed, that he would surely be invisible to the naked eye: his body flickered ten meters forward, just as a loose vapor erupted into the area.

This stopped the cunning one in his tracks. He had become stumped by the boy's moves... What was his motive? As Miku grit his teeth, staring, a golem emerged from the mist. Once he saw it, he immediately flung his weaponry at it; with how close the thing had sprung out on him, he was sure to hit the large-sized target. The hira-shuriken equipped with the tag would explode in about six seconds, even if it hadn't been lodged in the crevice of the moving rock-human. 

Given this turn of events, Mikutashi tried to rework his planning. He moved to the center of the arena and positioned himself somewhere that the golem would want to move to; even if it did take the cumbersome thing a long time to pull it off. With his real adversary veiled by mists, Mikutashi had had enough. He would call out to the boy, intimidatingly. 

"What the fuck is this, you coward?" Mikutashi beckoned towards the golem; "Come out and fight me. I'm done with your tricks, boy." The nukenin remained alert, cautious that his opponent was capable of shifting rock; hopefully the golem had suffered damage great enough to render it immobile.

Shunshin no Jutsu - Oshi (Body Flicker Technique - Push)

Skill: NinJutsu/TaiJutsu
Effect: A Jutsu that allows a user to rush forward in almost instantaneous speed. Used to draw the user close to the opponent.
Special: ---
Drawback: May use 3 times a day. May perform 1 more each time learned. Passing amount renders the user's legs immobile due to severe pain. Unable to perform again unless gained medical treatment. User can use this skill to cause an opponent to become Shaken for a number of rounds. This Shaken condition does not stack with other Shaken conditions to make an affected creature frightened. The Difficulty to the check is +10 + 5 per Target's Class Level + (5 x Impeccable Will) + Target's modifiers on Saves against Fear.

Success: If user is successful, the target is Shaken for 1 round. This duration increases by 1 round for every 5 points by which the user beats the Difficulty. User can only threaten an opponent this way if it is within 10 meters and can clearly see the hear the user. Using demoralize on the same creature only extends the duration; it does not create a stronger fear condition.
Fail: The opponent is not shaken.

Action: Demoralizing an opponent is a movement.
Retry?: User can attempt to intimidate an opponent again, but each additional check increases the Difficulty by +5. This increase resets after 1 hour has passed.

Shouta, buried underneath the mud, waiting patiently for his chance to strike, would hear only mumbles coming from above the ground. It was the Shadow Clone who heard the taunts of the ex-shinobi and smiled. His enemy's growing angry was a good sign indeed; the Clone's work to provoke the Shinobi to show him his most trusted of moves would surely come soon to fruition. It was at this point that the Clone wanted to build on what he had done, providing even more impatience to the enemy that stood before him, still unable to see both the true Ninmaster and his clone standing warily in the fog.

But, unfortunately, at this distance, Shouta had no techniques to harm this man, nor did he wish to move from his current position. In fact it would be very likely that he would not move at all.

Instead he compelled the golem to move forward. He felt the reverberations of an explosion rock the Golem. It teetered, as if about to fall, as slivers of chipped rock fell from it's massive frame, and then it rolled back into a balanced stance. The clone, knowing that the failed attempt to harm the Golem would likely drive the shinobi even angrier, had the summoned rock pound the ground with its fist, as if in a mockery of rage, and advance again towards the enemy. It would attempt to connect with a powerful right hook, slicing the air with its giant, earthen fists.

In time, the tag had exploded and Miku cast his forearm up to shield his eyes from the explosion; as he went to remove his hand, his eyes returned to a leer. The golem hadn't been destroyed. This, along with the silence that his opponent allowed to control the area had made his blood boil... Just what sort of game was this, seriously? The golem was far too slow to land a successful blow on the fleeting ex-shinobi. It was a pointless endeavor for the cowering boy.

Still, Mikutashi had devised some sort of plan to lure the child out. In the mean time, he would simply avoid the cumbersome earth creation; at all times, he kept away from it by at least three meters, arcing around the marble platform, but sure to keep aware of his opponent's location and his proximity towards the ring's edge.

He would reach for more hira-shuriken [2] and this time an electrical tag to attach to one of the stars. Once he managed to quickly circle the golem, that is, get behind it, he would again hurl his weapons at the thing. Precise with his shot, he would quickly jump backwards from three meters away from his surrogate opponent, to a positioning of now five meters; immediately, he clasped his left hand into an elementary kata --- "Kassei!"

This allowed him to manifest the effects of his latest ninja tag, without the six second delay. Several strings of sparks flew in the area, but from his distance, Miku was left unabated; the golem, however, would have been possibly stricken with its full effects, given the direct range that Mikutashi had managed to throw his shuriken at it. Now with his creation subdued, what would the child do now? Again, Suikou sought the valor of his opponent, "Hiding in those mists won't save you... the Gods are watching you..."

May be attached to 3 items without taking up room in a single slot.

Drawback: User may perform this technique once per tag unless user utilizes more chakra. For every tag the user wishes to detonate the user must hold onto the ram handseal for an extra handseal movement. If user wishes to detonate 30 tags the user must hold onto the seal for 30 handseal movements.
Description: Utilizing chakra, the user is able to activate the explosion mechanism of a distant explosive tags. User focuses the chakra to a nearby tag and detonates it. User must put a piece of chakra into their tag first before detonating. User is unable to detonate tags that is not theirs.
Limit: An academy Jutsu that all is capable of performing if they wish to do so.

[The Creator]

Shouta's Shadow Clone felt another blast, this one much more damaging than the last, rock the Stone Golem. It still wouldn't be enough to destroy the golem, although if the enemy was observant, he would begin to see cracks form in the Golem. Shouta's clone felt a smile spread across his face. Were these tremendous attacks all that the enemy had in his arsenal? After the initial exploding tag had done nearly nothing to the Golem, Shouta watched as the enemy pulled out a tag which was much more destructive tag, an electrical-type, and attempted to use it against the Golem. Perhaps the enemy was testing the strength of the Golem's skin. After deftly dodging the Golem's attacks, he must have known that the Golem was no longer a viable option. It was after the cracks had formed and Shouta's knowledge fufilled that Shouta brought his hands up from the mud and discontinued the jutsu.

"Hiding in those mists won't save you... the Gods are watching you..."

Upon the next taunt, Shouta hatched another plan. Or, rather, his clone did. His clone performed another string of handseals and yet another clone popped up in front of the first. Shadow Clone 2 would nod at the first and walk towards the edge of the mist, pausing slightly before emerging. Shadow Clone 1 would trail the 2nd for a short while but stop short before the edge of the mist. The original Shouta, still completely emerged in the ground, was still waiting patiently, watching with Tasukeru, waiting for his chance to strike.

Shadow Clone 2 emerged from the mists, his hands at his side.

"Well, uh, I-I'm here."

Shadow Clone 2 would perform a trio of handseals and, as a result, a flower of fire with six petals would appear above his shoulder.

"So, er, come and fight, then?"

Drawback: The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power.
Description: The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after 1 or 2 solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original. Shadow clones cannot be distinguished from the actual person even by the Byakugan because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance. A characteristic that is unique to the Shadow Clone Technique is that any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. This makes the technique ideal for spying, since the user can simply send a clone to spy on a target, then have the clone disperse itself without returning to pass the information back to the user. (Cannot gain extra training points through training with Shadow clone.) User is able to make up to 5 clones at a time. Takes the amount of time to perform a "B" Rank Jutsu. Effect: Creates a small flower made of flames with six petals that are each six inches long.
Special: “Hand Seals”- Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Rabbit, Tiger, extending the left hand away from the body, then using the thumb, index, and middle fingers in a triangle-like formation.
Drawback: This ability has no real value beyond using it within a combo attack.
Description: This jutsu creates a flower made entirely of flames. The user performs the required hand seals, channeling chakra through the left hand’s thumb, index, and middle fingers. The left hand is then moved away from the body, and the three mentioned fingers form a triangle shape, while the other two fingers close like the user would make a fist. The built chakra then move upwards and out of the hand, sparking to life and creating a flower with six petals that are six inches long each. If the triangle formation is ever broken, then the entire flame disappears. This ability can almost be treated like a fighting style stance. Each use of a Hanabi no Shinka will require a set amount of petals to be used; after the petals have all been used, the ability must be re-performed. Any time that a part of the Hanabi no Shinka has been destroyed, so long as the whole flower is not destroyed, it will slowly regenerate unless it has been used for an attack.

Mikutashi had been indeed rash, but he was no fool. The boy who emerged from the mists had finallyfallen for the goading of his opponent; yet still, it was a pathetic attempt. While he had in fact moved some ways away from his obscuring abode, he didn't dare enter from ring-side.

"Pathetic... why don't you forfeit? Go home, or I'll kill you," the ex-nin stated, standing were he stood, having no time to push forward just for his foe to retreat into a safe place. This would be at least his third attempt at intimidation; hopefully, the boy would either take his advice, or rally up the gumption to face him as he should in this battle of the Gods. Since he had no true interest in the golem, it mattered not to Miku how much damage he had inflicted, nor the state wherein its composition remained after his tag explosions. He would move away from the golem by a safe ten meters, to ensure that had the child in fact control over this element, that he wouldn't carelessly fall for another Doton technique.

Once he saw the flicker of flames from behind the child, he could instantly note the release based on its qualities. As he went on to observe the child, Miku noticed he didn't seem too gung-ho about this situation; was he seriously afraid, or acting? Attempting to sense the motive of his adversary, the nukenin steadily watching the boy, while he performed seals for a latent -jutsu.

The second clone looked at the enemy curiously, noting his intentions to draw the boy out. He suddenly felt a sharp pity for the enemy; would Shouta himself ever enter the enemy's hidden mist without any ability to tell what was going on inside? Just as Shouta felt frightened to exit the mists, this man was just as frightened to enter them. So they were at an impasse and while it was the more strategically minded that decided to wait it out, to gnaw on the impatience of him opposite to you, Shouta suddenly found his courage. Mikutashi would watch as the boy in front of him took a step backwards, back into the mist. Once Shouta's second clone was inside the boundaries of the mist, he would dissipate into the air, as shadow clones do, along with the first clone that had done so much to fight the enemy. Now was the time for Shouta to truly fight this man.

The mists would disperse, leaving the field empty. If this man had not seen Shouta's initial deception, when he disappeared into the mud behind that pillar, then he truly would be rather curious as to what he had just seen. Shouta would suddenly surge up from the ground, performing the longest string of handseals that he had so far. The earth would shake in a magnificent form as the ground below Shouta gave way to a magnificent creature of colossal size. It would rise up out of the ground as if it had been there all along, dormant, waiting, just as Shouta had intended. It was the secret technique of Shouta.

Great Lash Clone.

It's size now dwarfed the enemy. With Shouta's full power now residing in him, that which the clones had taken now returned, it was time to destroy his enemy completely. Not yet finished, Shouta would perform another round of 15 handseals. The Great Lash Clone would mimic him, performing them an unprecedented speed for such a large creature.

Up from the earth would shoot six large walls surrounding the enemy. Their size was colossal, standing nearly as high as the clone itself, completely trapping the enemy, lest he be able to bound up 80 feet in a single jump. The shook the world with their appearance, causing Shouta to grab on to something. An attempt to run up them would end rather hastily as a seventh wall reached up, a magnificent thickness about it, to ensnare his opponent. Finally, with all hopes of attempting to escape gone, two boulders of leviathan proportion, taller than the walls that had entrapped the enemy would come together in a quick fashion,

CRASH!!

The ground would shake in response to the magnificent blow as the two mountain-like boulders came together.

Shouta looked at what he had created and suddenly felt very tired. He had put a lot into that attack and hoped that his trump card had defeated the enemy. If not, then he was now in a bad position. Not just thirsty but exhausted too, he found that a lot had been required of him to make that technique happen.

Dairasshu no Bunshin (Great Lash Clone)

Effect: Creates an 80 foot tall earthen replica of the user which can be controlled by the user. The golem is capable of using techniques if the user performs the required handseals for the technique, but for an additional chakra expenditure.

Drawback: The user is incapable of using any techniques beyond Doton-based techniques for five turns, or while the technique is active, whichever is longer. The user must be careful on where they use this technique, for using it in cramped places could result in massive destruction. Drains a "D" Rank amount of chakra per turn that the creature is active. The user must keep physical contact with the golem in order to keep it in existence.
Description: A powerful Earth-based Ninjutsu that is often used to combat against opponents who have powerful summoning allies. The user, by performing the correct handseals, will channel their chakra into the earth around them. From underneath the user will rise a perfectly proportioned, although 80 feet tall, replica of the user. The golem is controlled by the user's will and can do anything that the user is capable of doing, including having the capability of performing earth-based Ninjutsu. The Earth-based ninjutsu that the golem uses causes the user to expend an additional amount of chakra equivalent to one rank higher than the rank of the jutsu being used by the golem, but it is also proportioned in size to the golem, meaning that the attacks would seem much larger than usual. The golem, which is covered with the user's chakra, requires an "S" rank amount of damage before it will break.
Limit: Must know Ishikyojin Kuchiyose no Jutsu. Must know Mimicry of the Earth. Must have Doton no Jutsu.

Doton: Ganban Kyuu (Earth Release: Bedrock Coffin) [Treated as S-Rank]

Effect: Large pillars of rock shoot up and around the opponent before coming together crushing the opponent.

Description: After performing the necessary handseals, the User will utilize the earth element and form a coffin of stone around their opponent, crushing them. After a bit of earth quaking, not enough to throw one off balance, six small walls of earth will burst from the earth in a circle around the opponent and converge trapping them in a coffin. One final but smaller in thickness, wall will wrap around imprisoned opponent, keeping them from escaping. At this point, two halves of a rock/boulder will smash together, completely crushing the opponent. Once the opponent is caught within the walls that rise from the ground, there is no way for them to escape.

The nin-specialist was surprised by the superior hand reflexes of the youth; once he had finally lain waste to his obscuring mechanics, the real child arose from the earth; Miku had noticed something strange about the possible surrogate version of Shouta - he figured maybe it was an earth clone as well. Still, with a prime purpose, he completed his kata, inhaling deeply as he did so.

His counter had arisen in mere moments a colossal entity; for a second or so, the shaking of the ground kept Mikutashi from unveiling his technique, so that instead he maintained it within his mouth, the chakra and other elemental in a tight conglomerate; with an iron will, he looked upon the mighty creation, little could kindle fear in the heart of the nukenin. As its hands moved, the ground would rumble vigorously again; this time, earthen walls had been created around Mikutashi, and he assumed that this was the beginning of some sort of imprisonment ninjutsu. He would quickly jump roughly ten meters into the air, this action propelled by the chakra-embedded into his ankles; and further, he utilized his Daitoppa - the technique was launched at the ground, to perhaps launch him higher, beyond the range of the walls. Had this been in fact a viable means of escaping the prison, then he swiftly flipped and ran down the height of the collapsing wall.

For now, he sought to avoid death. He hadn't expected for his opponent to have such an arsenal of Goliath-ian Doton jutsu.

Description: User performs the handseals as they take in a deep breathe. Holding it for a brief moment they quickly exert it as a large blast of air the size of the user's head, and double the length is sent out towards the opponent within the distance of twenty five meters. This technique is capable of crushing an opponent's ribs if hit directly, or capable of dislocating a shoulder if hit along the shoulder. This technique is sometimes used to break down large doors, or to smack an opponent away from the user when the user comes into a bind. Depending on the user's class level depends on the distance this technique may be used. When the user is "D" class the distance is that of twenty five meters. Each class the user is higher then that of "D" The distance increases by five meters. When the user masters the art of wind, the blast increases by doubling it size as the distance is increased by ten meters.

Well now the question is whether or not this would be enough to get over the walls and in my opinion, it would not be enough.

First Mikutashi attempted to shunshin into the air but I'll have to render that null as by the wording of the jutsu, shunshin can only be used along the ground so that's 10 meters now added up.

Then we go to the wind jutsu, now if you had mastered the jutsu I would give you half a chance however as you haven't I don't see this being viable. Generally the jutsu states that it can knock back the opponent and in this case you're looking to use it to push yourself upward which is a fine adaptation, the problem is the golemn. If this was a standard jutsu I would say a jump + your wind jutsu would be enough to get you over the wall but as it's in proportion to the giant golemn, you're coming up short.

Conclusion:
Mikutashi attempts to jump up high into the air but fails to reach a height anywhere near 10 meters and instead only gets roughly 3,a little over, due to his strong legs. He then spits out a ball of wind to propel him further up but this only carries him an addition five meters into the sky and he is still struck by the jutsu taking bludgeoning damage.

With the child finally exposing himself to Mikutashi, the nukenin finished his seals. However, before he could utilize the Daitoppa, a massive creation arose in place of the former golem; now, a gargantuan-sized adversary stood against Miku, and he looked up towards it, sweating. Still fearless, he opted to rush towards the thing: a Shunshin pushed him forward ten meters, around the time that the ground started to rumble a second time.

Had Mikutashi been alacritous enough with his body flicker, then perhaps the six walls that were created against him wouldn't be quick enough to rise in and enclose upon him. This was his last effort; the Daitoppa had since been extinguished as he released the -jutsu, and focused solely on approaching the colossus.

In fact, had he indeed gotten away from the secondary doton jutsu, then he would attempt to scale the left leg of the creation once he had managed to sprint into its range.

Had the opposite taken place, and the nukenin was captured by the Bedrock Coffin, then as the walls collapsed about him, his life was mercilessly taken; a sharp scream was produced and then all went flat as the rock started to crumble into larger pieces of earthen debris. Once the dust settled, the boy, where ever he had watched from, would realize the defeat of his opponent - blood was scattered on some of the remnant Ganban Kyuu.

With the blazing red eyes of Tasukeru, Shouta watched atop his Lash Clone as the boulders closed conclusively. Nobody had escaped out of those walls, and suddenly, it was silent. Shouta could hear the call of ground finches from some ways off and the whistle of the wind through the hollow rungs and holes of the Great Lash Clone. Shouta looked on with a great realization: the enemy had been eliminated.

Shouta had no wish to pry open those stones and see what had happened to his enemy. It would likely be a scene to gory for the young Oto shinobi. Instead, as his Great Lash clone returned to the earth from which it came, Shouta sank into a deep sorrow. No body to be returned, no friends surrounding him when he died. He died alone and afraid. He had fufilled Shouta's greatest fear. A pang of deep resentment hit the young Shinobi and he threw his mask to the ground.

It was as if fury had taken him but it tugged at his heart as if it were sorrow. He didn't know how he ended up on the ground; it was as if the ground had come up to meet him. He was suddenly aware that he was sobbing violently. The tears were hot against his face. Tasukeru's red light faded from his dark hood as his breaths turned to exasperated and desperate gasps for air. Several minutes passed, only then did Shouta have the willpower to try and console himself.

"He died a warrior's death." Shouta told himself and to nobody in particular. Was it true? Shouta had no choice but to believe it. He did not even know the enemy's name. He didn't know his place of residence; he couldn't go and tell any loved ones of what had happened in this horrible place.

Shouta felt suddenly done with it all. He no longer wanted to take any more lives.

"Vadsum!" he shouted, his voice compelled by his strange mix of raw emotions.

"I'm done! I quit! Fuck your Godhood!"
