Two pairs of feet walked silently along the worn paths of Iwagakure. It was early, which probably was a poor choice on the teens part. Many people were still sleeping, and for those that lived near to the training grounds, they’d be getting a very rude awakening. Unless, other clan members happened to be nearby. Such people might find the sounds of detonation, no matter how small, sweet music to their ears.

Upon reaching the training ground, the redhead took a seat on a stump, Monomane sitting down beside the girl, and remaining there as she removed her hand from its shoulder. The hand moved, sticking itself inside of the bag on the girls hip. She had practiced this at home the other day, but failed to accomplish much of anything, except getting an odd taste in her mouth of course. Pandoru’s second mouth didn’t quite fuction how it was supposed to just yet, and so her standard one had to be used.
A small piece of clay was removed from the bag, and with a small amount of hesitation, the girl placed it in her mouth. She had to admit, she was terrified of swallowing the thing. While she, sadly enough, also was unaware of how to infuse the clay with her chakura, she was sure her body would do it on its own if the clay got inside of her, and the thought of blowing up was extremely unpleasant. Especially since her family would be talking about it for days, not because their daughter had just exploded, but because of what a work of art it was.
What was worse was that other clan members would probably be jealous.
The odd taste that she remembered getting yesterday was back, but that was to be expected. Unless she’d used a different kind of clay, the flavor should be the same. It wasn’t really an unpleasant flavor, just... odd. Like earth.
Which also was kind of an obvious thing.
The clay was chewed for a while before she moved it to the other side of her mouth with her tongue. She couldn’t quite understand how some people could make sculptures like this. It seemed almost impossible, at least for her, since she couldn’t seem to do much else but roll the thing into a ball. Perhaps she could just lengthen the piece and call it a snake. Or a worm.
This training had its benefits though, she supposed. If she ended up losing her arms in battle, she’d have no fingers to control puppets or additional mouths to chew the clay for her. This would be her only choice, unless she decided to forfeit or die. Neither were solutions that she enjoyed.
After a moment, the clay was spat out into her hand, and the girl licked her lips, wiping them with the back of her hand afterwards. The clay had dried them a bit, it seemed. She’d have to start carrying chapstick with her.
