Skill: Ninjutsu, supplementary.
Effect: Allows the user to give a piece of clay explosive properties. Also determines the speed at which the user can produce a clay bomb(s). (See more below)
Special: Please refer to “Katsu”.
The clay bombs characteristics is directly dependent of the user rank of "Touji Itonami "(Clay Life).
The Amount of bombs; the amount of clay slots used to make a bomb; the size of the clay bomb; the maximum distance in which a clay creature may travel; and the amount of hands required to make a bomb will be stated within the bomb itself. (See more below)
Drawback: The user must load the piece of clay into a mouth begin to chew. Every clay creation requires a certain amount of clay slots and time to prepared. Certain bombs regardless of the users rank, will require additional time and perpetration (stated with the jutsu itself) (See more below)
Description: The user loads a piece of clay into there mouths (any mouth) and begins to command the mouth the chew at the piece of clay. What is truly occurring during this mastication process is that the user is injecting and infusing their chakra directly into the piece of clay. Due to the user's blood line trait, the relocation and concentration of their Tenketsu allows the user is able to pump and redirect a very large amount of chakra to there hands and into the piece of clay (more then humanly possible). The mouths of the user allow for rigorous chewing, ensuring that their chakra is evenly dispersed through out the piece of clay. Once the user feels that the piece of clay has been properly imbued with their chakra, the user commands the mouth to spit out the prepped piece of clay, allowing for the next stage in refinement to occur. (See "Touji Itonami "(Clay Life)). If the user knows the D-ranked version of "Touji Hyu-zu" (Clay Infusion), they may only create up to D-ranked Bombs. If the user knows the C-ranked version of this technique, they may create only C-rank bombs and the D-ranked bombs before that; and so on and so forth until S-ranked is achieved (though some Bombs may state other wise).

Each Ranked Clay bomb requires a certain amount of time to be prepped. The users class and the bombs rank directly effects the amount of time the user will have to spend in preparation. The increased speed is due to the fact that as the user grows in strength and skill, thus so does his or her abilities to handle clay and produce clay bombs. This amount of time has been measured in post lengths:

As he rubbed his eyes, Yamato headed out of his house and to the back porch. Normally he would still be sleeping at this time, but he was changing it up today. The reason was because he was training his first B rank technique. He didn’t know how long it would take. Hence the reason he was up a six o’clock. He hoped the technique didn’t take as long as he thought it would, but he just didn’t know.

Once he was outside, Yamato headed for the scroll that was always on the nearby table. Once he had it in his hands, he scanned it for a technique he was very familiar with, Clay Infusion. Once he found it, he read the details on the scroll before placing it back down. The information that he read wasn’t all that new. The only thing that had really changed was the amount of chakra that he needed to infuse in his clay.

Digging into his pouch, Yamato picked out a piece of clay and popped it in his mouth. Once it was in there, he began to slowly chew. As he chewed, he began to direct the chakra that was in his body towards his mouth. This took quite a bit of time do to the amount of chakra he needed. Plus he couldn’t just rush the chakra from the lower parts of his body upwards. He needed to draw chakra from places in the lower part of his body that had a surplus of it. If he took chakra from a spot that didn’t have enough chakra there, he would feel sore there in the morning.

Scanning the lower part of his body, Yamato looked for surplus chakra that he could use. Although he had some by his ankles, he didn’t want to use the chakra there. The reason for this was because it would take to long for the chakra to travel all the way up to his mouth. He didn’t want to spend all day training this technique. He needed to be fast but efficient. However if he needed to spend a lot of time to master this technique, he was willing. He had learned his lesson from rushing when he was training his last C rank.

Minutes ticked by slowly as Yamato searched for a particular spot. He did not want to choose the wrong one, because when he said sore, he meant sore. He would barely be able to move the limb that was affected. And that was the best thing that would happen if he picked the wrong spot. Some of the other things that could happen involved paralysis, and even the loss of the affected limb. He wasn’t surprised by this fact because training his clan techniques was always dangerous.

After a few more minutes of searching, Yamato finally found a spot by his thigh that contained a surplus of chakra. Concentration on that location, he directed the chakra upwards. He had to devote his whole concentration to this task because his chakra would go right back to its usual spot if he didn’t. As he moved his chakra upwards, he watched as some of the chakra he was moving vanished. Tch, it seemed that as he moved his chakra, some of it would naturally leak. Only a little bit leaked at a time, but if he was slow, it would soon add up.

Focusing on the moving chakra, Yamato moved it passed his stomach and towards his mouth. The area that the moving chakra was in felt cold and numb. He didn’t know the reason for this, but it was quite distracting. He tried his hardest to ignore it, but from the increased chakra remnants that were falling, he could tell it wasn’t working. Oh well, he was almost there anyways. He just had to keep on pushing forward.

The moment the moving chakra got to his throat, it started to become hard to breathe. As seconds passed Yamato’s throat began to be covered my more and more goosebumps. He tried pushing the chakra upwards even more, but he was forced to stop when black dots started to appear in his vision due to the lack of oxygen. The moment his chakra was back in his chest it became safe to breathe again. Hmm, this was going to be a problem.

He needed to figure out what to do to get his chakra past his throat. There was no other way to move his chakra to his mouth, so he was forced to find a solution to his problem. He could try warming up his neck, but he didn’t think it would help. Sure it would combat the cold, but he still wouldn’t be able to breath. No, he needed a different solution.

He needed to be careful because it would suck if he died from a lack of oxygen. Not to mention it would be embarrassing for a ninja to die that way. The moment he felt like he was going to faint, he would move the chakra back to where it had been before. He didn’t know if the chakra would move down naturally. If it didn’t, he could accidently suffocate himself while he was unconscious. Although his death wouldn’t be painful, it would be disappointing.

After a few minutes of thinking, Yamato decided to just push forward. If he moved his chakra to his mouth fast enough, then he wouldn’t have to worry about suffocating. Sure it might stop him from being able to breathe for a little bit of time, but it was just that. A little bit of time. All he had to do was imagine he was swimming and holding his breath underwater.

He couldn’t really think of any other solutions besides that. The chakra in his chest had to go through his throat to get to his mouth. That was the only way. Directing his attention on the chakra in his chest, Yamato began to move it upwards. As the cold feeling encompassed his throat, he ignored it in favor of moving it. As time went on, less and less oxygen was going to into his body. Sadly, Yamato was forced to stopped prematurely in fear that he was going to faint.

Tch, he needed to move the chakra faster and hold his breath for longer. Taking a deep breath, Yamato began moving the chakra in his chest upwards as quickly as possible. His throat began to freeze up once again, but he ignored it. He didn’t have that much oxygen either, but since he took a deep breath before starting, he would be fine. He was almost there, he just needed to persevere.

Struggling against the lack of oxygen, Yamato pushed the chakra with all his strength into his mouth. With one particularly strong push, half of the chakra went in his mouth. As more chakra left his throat and went into his mouth, it became easier to breathe again. And now that he could breathe, all he had to deal with was the cold feeling it left behind in his throat. That was something he could easily deal with.

Yamato spent the next few minutes pushing the rest of his chakra that was in his throat into his mouth. The task had proven to be quite hard, but he had managed to complete it. Besides a freezing numbing sensation in his mouth, he was fine. Now he had to move on to the next part, infusing his chakra into the piece of clay. It would be hard, but he could do it.

Chewing on the clay slowly, Yamato began to infuse his chakra into it. With each chew more and more chakra went into the clay. Once a sufficient amount of chakra was in the clay, he began to distribute it evenly. By chewing here and there, the chakra in the clay was slowly being distributed. The task was made easier by rolling the clay around in his mouth and chewing on different sides. This way he could get the hard to reach places that needed some chakra.

As he chewed on the clay, Yamato stared at the nearby tree. There used to be a time when it had been beautiful and filled with leaves. Now it had burn marks and scratches from all the techniques he had used against it. Did he fill bad? Yes. Would he use his techniques on it again? Yes. By using the tree, it was easy to see how strong a technique was. Although he was slowly killing the tree, it would be worth it in the end.

Rolling the piece of clay around in his mouth, Yamato tried deciding which side was best to chew on. If he wanted the chakra evenly distributed, he couldn’t just chew on one side. No, he would to occasionally rotate the clay in his mouth and chew. And that was exactly what he was doing. However the chakra in the clay was still unevenly distributed. Therefore he needed to find out where to chew and how hard.

Biting the left side of the clay, Yamato began to chew roughly. As he did this, the clay that was on the left side moved towards the right side of the clay. Once this happened, he switched the clay around and bit down on the right side. This made it so that some of the chakra from the right side would move back towards the left side. He chewed gently this time since he didn’t want too much chakra going to the left side.

Time passed by slowly as Yamato moved the clay around in his mouth. It took him several minutes of chewing before the chakra in the clay even resembled being around the same. It took him even longer to make sure the chakra was evenly distributed. Once he was confident that his clay was sufficiently filled with his chakra, Yamato spat it out into the palm of his hand. He spent the next few minutes examining it.

Thirty minutes. It had taken him more than thirty minutes to infuse this small piece of clay with his chakra. From a first glance, this clay seemed to be like any other clay. However that wasn’t the case. No, the one in his palm was filled to the brim with his chakra. He had to put a lot of chakra in it too for his stronger techniques. If his clay didn’t have enough chakra in it, then all of his techniques would be weaker.

The reason Yamato was even able to do all of this was thanks to his bloodlimit. His bloodlimit made is so that his Tenketsu was in different places than norm. This allowed him to pump a large amount of chakra to his hands and mouths. More so than should be possible. When Yamato received his handmouth, this task would be way easier. After all handmouths were made for this very reason.

Tossing the clay a decent distance away, Yamato performed the handseal for Katsu. His clay exploded in a burst of wind, blowing some of his hair back. Nodding his head in satisfaction, Yamato took out another piece of clay. It had taken way too long to infuse his chakra into the clay. He needed to shorten down that time or else this technique wouldn’t be usable in battle.

Popping another piece of clay into his mouth, Yamato began directing chakra from his chest to his mouth. The reason he was changing the location where he got chakra from was because he needed to gather chakra in his mouth faster. His technique took a long time to do because precious time was wasted moving the chakra in his body towards his mouth. If he gathered chakra from a location closer to his mouth, then the time it took for him to do his technique would shorten. Less chakra would also be lost since his chakra didn’t have to travel as far.

Concentrating on his chest, Yamato looked for an area with a surplus of chakra. Once he found one, he began the process of moving it towards his mouth. The moving went by a little faster this time since he knew what to expect. He needed to lead his chakra to his mouth, not force it. If he tried forcing it, it would move slower that it had already been going. Instead he needed to entice it so it would head towards his mouth.

As seconds ticked by, his chakra began to slowly move upward. Right before the chakra reached his neck, Yamato took a deep breath. Ignoring the chilling sensation in his throat, he continued to move the chakra upwards. The lack of oxygen wasn’t that bad since he had done this before. He still hurried though because he didn’t like this particular sensation. Moving chakra while not being able to breathe was not pleasant at all.

Once the chakra was past his throat and in his mouth, Yamato took a deep breath. Once he felt the cooling sensation of air in his lungs, he continued. Directing the chakra that was in his mouth into the clay, Yamato began to chew. Moving the clay back to where his molars were, he tried his best to evenly distribute the chakra throughout the clay. He still hadn’t found an easy way to do it, so it was still quite hard. But practice makes perfect.

The next minute was spent with Yamato trying to find an easy way to distribute his chakra throughout the clay. He tried chewing the clay with his molars and then his front teeth to see which once helped more. If he had to say, he would choose his molar because it was easier to chew. Molars were meant were chewing after all. His front teeth just didn’t cut it. He could still use his front teeth to chew the clay, it would just be slower.

The reason he chose molars was because they were flatter and bigger than his front teeth. This helped him distribute the clay evenly. Chewing with his front teeth caused the chakra to go around sporadically through the clay. That was something Yamato did not want to happen. But there were certain situations where his front teeth were better than his molars. One example was when he first started distributing the chakra throughout the clay. If he chewed it with his front teeth in the beginning, it would take less time for the chakra to spread throughout the clay.

As Yamato chewed on the clay, he wondered what else he could try. He needed a faster way to do this and he was running out of his ideas. What else could he use? His tongue? That was the only other thing he could use besides his teeth in his mouth. His tongue couldn’t chew the clay, obviously. But maybe it could still helped distribute the chakra. He would have to try it and find out.

Moving the piece of clay underneath his tongue, Yamato began pushing it with his tongue. The first side he pushed was the right side. At first he thought nothing happened beside a small dent forming in the clay. But if he concentrated hard enough, he could notice a small amount of chakra being pushed towards the middle. Hmm, this might be helpful. If he could quickly make the chakra in the clay almost distributed, he could do the final touches using his tongue.

As he practiced moving the chakra in the clay with his tongue, Yamato thought about the taste he was experiencing. The clay didn’t taste good, but neither did it taste bad. If the clay tasted bad, then he would have a hard time doing his clan techniques. It was similar to how you sometimes how a random object in your mouth when you’re bored. Like an eraser or toothpick for example. You have it in your mouth just because and it doesn’t really bother you.

If Yamato had to describe the taste, he would have to say earthy. It was like someone grabbed a pile of dirt and stuck it in his mouth. Although this sounded disgusting, it wasn’t that bad. It was like eating a tomato from a garden that still had some dirt on it. Plus he wasn’t really eating it. And since he was infusing chakra into the clay while it was in his mouth, he wasn’t really focused on the flavor. It wasn’t like a snack where he focused on the taste.

When he infused chakra into the clay, the taste changed. Although it still had the same earthy flavor, it tasted as though someone poured a little salt on it. Yamato didn’t know if that was what it actually tasted like, or if he was just imagining it. He hadn’t heard of people tasting chakra. But neither had people heard of a clan with mouths on their hand. If he was being honest, he preferred to have chakra infused clay in his mouth, rather than its counterpart. There was just something about chakra infused clay that tasted good to him. He didn’t know why, that was just the way he was.

The taste of the clay wasn’t the only thing Yamato had noticed. Before he put the clay in his mouth, the texture of it was kind of hard. It wasn’t that hard though since he could easily tear a chunk of it off and put it in his mouth. Still the moment he infused chakra into it, it grew soft and malleable. This made it easier to shape it into any animal he chose. If he tried molding with his clay before chewing it, it would be an extremely hard task.

Although the chakra infused clay was soft and malleable, it wasn’t too soft. If he touched it, his finger wouldn’t sink into it. It would make a small dent, but it wouldn’t completely sink into it. The reason for this was because his clay wasn’t like normal clay. His clan clay was created for the sole purpose of being molded and infused with chakra. He was thankful for this, because normal clay wasn’t that easy to shape.

Yamato didn’t fully understand how his clay expanded by using his chakra. All he knew was that it did. Somehow by infusing his chakra in the clay, he allowed it to expand in size. Not only that, but his chakra enable the clay to be able to explode. Some of the techniques he could do were quite powerful. He was quite surprised that a small piece of clay could do that much damage. He would need to remember that when he fought his enemies. An item that looked weak could actually be quite strong. He just needed to be wary of everything.

As he chewed on his clay, Yamato’s mind drifted elsewhere. He had been told by his brother a while ago to keep an eye out on how much clay he used. Since without it, his techniques were useless. If Yamato infused his clay and never used it, then it would eventually go to waste. He still didn’t know the technique that would allow him to recycle it. Maybe that was something to look into. It was easy infusing chakra into the clay after all.

Pressing his tongue against the clay, Yamato moved some of the chakra that was at the top to the bottom. He bit gently on either side a few more times before spitting the clay into his hand. His clay was infused with chakra, but it still took a long time. He still needed to shorten his time by more if he wanted to use it in battle. The only thing he could think of doing was just repeating the technique over and over. Maybe he would find a quick way to infuse his chakra in the clay by luck.

Rolling the chakra infused clay around in his hands; Yamato threw it at the scarred tree. As it was flying through the air, he performed the handseal for Katsu and watched it explode. As the smoke dissipated, he popped another piece of clay in his mouth. Unlike last time, he was going to try to infuse his chakra in the clay as fast as he could. He might fail, but it wouldn’t matter. If he did, he could just try again. Or he might actually die. Who knew?

Chewing on the clay with firm movements, Yamato began scanning for chakra near his throat. As soon as he found one, he focused all of his attention directly on it. Moving it upwards as quickly as he could, he ignored the cold chill that came with it. The chakra kept on moving upwards until it was right under his throat. Before continuing his technique, Yamato took a deep breath. It would not do to suffocate while he was training.

Moving the chakra past his throat, Yamato narrowed his eyes in pain. Since he was going as fast as he could, the chakra left a throbbing sensation in his throat. The reason this didn’t happen before was because he has sacrificed speed for caution. This time he was doing the opposite however. In order to succeed it was sometimes necessary to take risks. And that was exactly what he was doing.

After a few uncomfortable seconds, the chakra in Yamato’s throat was now in his mouth. Thankfully nothing bad happened so he was able to continue training his technique as fast as he could. Directing the chakra in his mouth towards his clay, Yamato began to rigorously chew. Using his tongue and teeth in tandem, he was able to start distributing his chakra evenly. By using these two things at the same time, the speed of his technique increased.

A few seconds passed by with Yamato staying stock still. At least that was what it looked like he was doing. In reality he was actually working as hard as he could. His teeth and tongue were moving as fast as he could make them. After a minute of hard work, the clay in his mouth was successfully infused with his chakra. It was also evenly distributed. Perfect for his clan techniques.

Spitting it out into his hand, Yamato examined it. He didn’t know if it was his imagination, but his clay seemed to be glistening in the sunlight. After looking at it for a few minutes, he tossed it in the air and made it explode. As his clay vanished into smoke, Yamato headed back inside. It had been a long day and he was glad he was done with it. He had thought training C rank techniques were hard, but they had nothing on B ranks. He couldn’t even imagine the ranks that came after B.

Effect: Allows the user to create a clone out of clay, which is combustible at higher ranks.

C-Rank: Handmouths are not required. The clay can simply be tossed on the ground, as it is unable to explode. If this is done, the following seals are required for each clone: Bird, Tiger, Ox
B-rank: Mouths needed. Refer to ‘Katsu’
Drawback: Time and preparation
Description: This Jutsu creates a clone just like all the other Bunshin no Jutsu and looks exactly like the user that would be mistaken for the real enemy. When this clone is struck in anyway, however, it changes to look more like a clay sculpture of the user. Whatever makes contact with it becomes stuck in the clone, as it's extremely sticky clay. The clay will wrap itself around the thing that came into contact with it and hardens leaving the thing stuck in it, vulnerable for attack by the user of this Jutsu. The user can also make the clay clone explode with the command "Katsu", in order to do that however, you must have the technique at a B Rank. The clone is not limited to just humans, its limited to all other things, animals, etc.

Heading out of his house and into his backyard, Yamato walked towards a nearby table. Once he reached it, he grabbed the scroll that was on top of it and scanned through it. Thanks to all of the training he did, he knew a good chunk of the weaker techniques. He knew so many that he had no more D rank clan techniques to train. Now he only had C rank and up. He wasn’t that sad about it though since it showed that he was improving. He wasn’t as strong as he liked though, hence the reason he was training another technique.

After looking through the scroll for about a minute, Yamato found a technique that he wanted to train. Popping a piece of clay in his mouth, he began to infuse it with his chakra. He did this by gathering chakra close to his throat and moving it towards his mouth. Once the chakra was transferred to his mouth, he moved it into his clay. Once the chakra was in his clay, he began to distribute it throughout the clay be chewing.

As he chewed, Yamato pushed his tongue into the clay. By doing this, he was able to get out some of the uneven lumps of chakra that was in his clay. Once the chakra was evenly distributed throughout the clay, Yamato spat it out into the palm of his hand. Before he did anything else with it, he quickly ran inside and grabbed a mirror. The reason he did this was because he was going to mold a clay version of himself. And to do this, he needed to be able to see what he looked like. And what better way of doing this than using a mirror?

Once the portable mirror was in his hand, Yamato headed back outside. Taking a seat in the chair by the table, Yamato looked around. Since he couldn’t mold the clay and hold the mirror at the same time, he would need to find a spot where he could put his mirror. He looked around for a couple of seconds before finally deciding to prop it up against the scroll of clan techniques. At first it kept on falling down, but after fiddling with it for a little while, he was able to make it stay. Now he could start on his technique.

Before looking at his reflection, Yamato molded the blob of clay into a humanoid shape. He added two legs at the bottom, two arms at the side, and a head on the top. He also made sure that the torso on his clay figure wasn’t too big. He wasn’t a hulking monstrosity after all. The head that was on his clay figure was oval shapes while his arms and legs were long and slender. If someone saw the figure that was in his hand, they would think that it was a toy he had made. And how wrong would they be.

The first section that Yamato decided to work on was the face. Since he wanted to be as detailed as possible, he was forced to use his nail for the smaller sections. By pressing his thumb against the clay, he was able to mold long messy hair for his clay figure. He also made the hair cover its right eye like his hair actually did. He also made the back part of the hair stick up. He added a few strands here and there until he was satisfied with how his hair looked.

Yamato made his eyes round and average sized. The next thing he molded were thin eyebrows that perched above his eyes. He finished off the eye section by adding lines underneath his eyes. Once this was done, he moved on to the nose. The nose didn’t take that long since all he had to do was make it long and angular. It was a little hard to make due to how small it was. When he finished with that, he crafted small thin lips that were in the shape of a frown. Since he rarely smiled, it would be weird to see his clay clone have that facial expression.

By pressing his fingers against his clay clone’s face, he was able to make his cheeks slim and bony. After he did this, he ran his fingers over his clone’s face, smoothing out any protruding clay pieces. He then crafted small ears on the side of his clone’s head to finish the first section. Before continuing on, Yamato took a moment to look at his clone. It wasn’t often he got to see his face. The feeling was bizarre. To say the least. Did he really look like that?

He didn’t want to toot his own horn, but Yamato was pretty satisfied with how his clay clone’s face turned out. The resemblance to his own face was uncanny. The only difference was that his clone’s face was all brown while he had silver hair and purple eyes. If he really wanted to, he could paint the clone so it would actually look like him. He didn’t though since there would be no point. When he was in the middle of a battle, he just wouldn’t be able to pull out a paint brush and start coloring his clone. It just wouldn’t happen.

Once he was done thinking, Yamato began molding his clay clone once again. He made his arms thin but muscular while his fingers were angular and slim. He was really glad his fingers were this thin since it helped him craft details to his clay sculptures. If his fingers were thick and chubby, creating clay creatures would be impossible for him. You needed dexterous and quick fingers to craft clay animals in the middle of a battle. Now that he thought about it, everyone in his clan had thin fingers too.

Once he finished both his arms and hands, Yamato moved on to the torso. He made it a little thin but also muscular. Similar to what he did with his arms. He spent the next few minutes adding muscle to the places that needed it. Once he was finished with that, he moved on to his legs. He skipped crafting his privates because it just wouldn’t be necessary. How was making them going to make his clay clone fight better in battle? It wasn’t, therefore he skipped them.

Like his arms and torso, he crafted his legs slim but muscular. He also made his toes long and slender like his fingers. Once he was done with the details, Yamato performed the required handseals and watched his clone disappear in a puff of smoke. His clone emerged from the smoke at the size of four feet. Although that wasn’t his actual height, that was the best he was going to get. In order to make his clone bigger, he would needed to train another technique. But for now, it was all right.

The moment the smoke cleared, Yamato knew something was wrong. His technique had technically worked, but not in the way he wanted it too. His clay clone looked exactly like him, you could barely tell the difference. The only problem was that his clone wasn’t wearing any clothes. He had forgotten to craft them. Slapping his head in frustration, he stared at his clone. If he wanted to, he could still use his clone in battle. It might actually unnerve his enemies to fight a naked opponent. It was something to think about.

Normally Yamato would’ve exploded his clay and started the technique over, but he couldn’t do it this time. This was because he needed to learn a higher rank before he was able to explode his clone. Since he couldn’t reuse the clay, he just had his clone walk around the yard. After a few minutes it would go back to its natural state of being just clay. He couldn’t wait to learn the higher rank of this technique though since exploding clones were pretty cool.

Popping another piece of clay into his mouth, Yamato began the process of infusing it with his chakra. First he looked for an area around his throat with a surplus of chakra. Once he found it, he began to move it towards his mouth. Goosebumps appeared on his skin as the cool numbing sensation spread through his upper body. Believe it or not, he was slowly becoming used to the cool sensation moving chakra gave him. If he kept practicing, soon he wouldn't have to worry about it.

He was able to do this in less than a minute thanks to all of the practicing he put in it. The clay infusion technique was slowly becoming usable in an actual battle. He began to evenly distribute the chakra in his clay by chewing on it with his molars. He also used his tongue to move some of the chakra that was hard to move with his teeth. He was glad he figured out how to use his tongue to help because without it, the whole technique would take way long. And in battle, time was of the essence.

Once his chakra was evenly distributed, he spat it out into the palm of his hand. As he looked at it, Yamato began to think.This time he would remember to craft the clothes on his clay clone. Not only that, but he would make it wear everything that he had on now. It was supposed to look like him after all. And there was no way that he was just going to be wearing clothes when he was walking around the village. No, he would at least have some weapons with him.

With delicate movements, Yamato shaped his head, arms, and legs. Like last time, he started on the face. First he recreated his messy hair. He then made the back part of it stick up and had some covering his eyes. When that was finished he created the eyes, nose, and mouth. He then finished the face by smoothing it out and crafting his ears. He looked in the mirror and then at his clone to make sure he didn’t miss anything. When he was satisfied with what he saw, he moved on.

Rather than craft the muscles on his chest, Yamato just molded the shirt that he had on. Once the shirt was finished, he crafted the vest that held all of his weapons. He then molded the arms to be slim and muscular. He did the same with his hands. On the lower section of his clone’s body, he crafted some pants and some boots. He also added his clay pouch and his headband that was wrapped around his thigh. He then added some more details before declaring the clone complete.

Placing it on the ground, Yamato performed the required handseals. Just like last time, his clone disappeared in a puff of smoke and emerged four feet tall. Unlike last time, his clone had clothes on, which was a relief. He stared at it for a little bit before glancing back at the mirror. Yep, the technique was successful. It would be extremely hard for people to tell the difference between him and his clone.

Sitting up from his chair, Yamato charged towards his clone. Like the good clone it was, it stayed still as he threw a punch at its face. The moment his fist struck its face, his hand got stuck. The face of his clone now resembled a clay Yamato. It felt like one too. He tried pulling his head out but failed after several attempts. In the end he had his clone help him get his hand out. If he was an opponent, then not only would his hand have gotten stuck, but the clay around his hand would harden, trapping his enemy. This would leave his enemy vulnerable for any attacks he chose to use.

The speed at which a user can infuse the piece of clay is directly dependent of the user rank of "Touji Hyu-zu" (Clay Infusion). The The amount of bombs; the amount of clay slots used to make a bomb; the size of the clay bomb; the maximum distance in which a clay creature may travel; and the amount of hands required to make a bomb will be stated within the bomb itself. (See more below)

Description: Clay Life is the true culmination of what a clay creation can really do. Directly after the user completes the fusion process derived from "Touji Hyu-zu" (Clay Infusion), he or she commands their mouth the spit out the piece of clay into their palm. The user further refines and molds this piece of clay using their fingers as it rests in his or her palms. During this refinement process, the users taps into their memory bank and focuses on a desired shape and characteristic they wish to endow their clay bomb with. This selected design is usually something which they have seen and witnessed from real life already. Once they are completed with the refinement process, a small clay version of what they desired rests within there hands. This refined piece of clay may take the shape of a variety of creatures; from insects to birds to reptiles or even mammals and must be stated by the user. (Some restrictions on what type of creature can be produced will stated by the jutsu itself).

From this point on, "Katsu" is used to enlarge their clay creature to a desired size. While enlarged and fully formed, the clay creature will Permanently act in the same mannerism as the creature it is molded after and Only the mannerism of the clay creature it is molded after. A Clay bird will fly, A clay spider will crawl, a Clay fish will swim, etc. Information and restrictions on the clay creature is stated within the jutsu. This entire process of refinement is far quicker then the infusement process and posting time is not required in this case. The user rank within this jutsu determines which bomb he or she can create. If the user only knows the D-ranked version of "Touji Itonami "(Clay Life) he or she may only control D-ranked bombs. If the user only knows the C-ranked version of "Touji Itonami "(Clay Life) he or she may only control C-ranked bombs, and D-ranked bombs before that; and so on and so forth until S-rank (though some Bombs can state other wise).
Each clay creature has a varying enlarged size and shape:
D-rank Clay life: allows for the creation of creatures of the small size, no larger then a foot ball (6 inches in length, unless otherwise stated by the jutsu itself).
C-rank Clay life: allows for the creation of creatures of the medium size, no larger then a small table (6 in- 4ft in length, unless otherwise stated by the jutsu itself).
B-rank Clay life: allows for the creation of creatures of the large size, no larger then a table (4ft-8ft in length, unless otherwise stated by the jutsu itself).
A-rank Clay life: allows for the creation of creatures of the Huge size, no larger then a car (8ft-12ft in length, unless otherwise stated by the jutsu itself).
S-rank Clay life: allows for the creation of creatures of the Epic size, (12ft- in length, stated by the jutsu itself).


The clay creature follows the users will on a near telepathic level. The user dictates which direction a clay creature may go and also dictates when the clay creature will detonate. A clay creature cannot act and attack on its free will and requires the users command. It cannot move to areas which the user does not know or see and detonate thereafter. (This does not apply to certain clay bombs). The clay creature cannot travel great distances from the user or last indefinitely. The maximum distance in which the clay creature can move is the same as the user's visual distance (a normal human visual distance). As this distance increases, it becomes harder to control clay creature(s). Beyond the visual range, the user is unable to maintain control of their clay creature and they become useless as they cannot detonate (though some Bombs can state other wise).The users chakra that has been imbued into the clay creature does not last longer then 1 minute if not detonated (unless the jutsu states differently as well). Afterwards, the users chakra completely dissipates form the clay creature, returning it into harmless lumps of shapeless clay, regardless of what rank bomb has been created.

Walking into his backyard, Yamato headed towards the nearby table. Today he was learning his second B rank technique. The technique he was learning was called clay life. Since he had already learned clay infusion, he was good to go. He wasn’t up as early as he was last time when he had trained his B rank technique, but it was still morning. Once he got to the table, he picked up the scroll and scanned through it. He had already trained clay life before, but he wanted to refresh his memory.

Once he found where it was, he took the next few minutes to read it over. Once the knowledge was in his head, he began his training. The first thing he did was reach into his pouch and toss a piece of clay into his mouth. Once it was in his mouth, he began to chew. As he chewed, he began to direct the chakra that was near his throat towards his mouth. He was able to do this quite quickly thanks to all of the training he had put into it. Without the training, it would’ve taken him considerably longer.

Once the chakra was moved to his mouth, he moved it into the piece of clay. Once enough chakra was in the clay, he began distributing it throughout the clay. Rolling the clay in his mouth, Yamato chewed on different sections on it. He did this for a little bit before adding the finishing touches with his tongue. After he was satisfied with the result, he spat the piece of clay into his hand. Now that the clay was infused with his chakra, he could start to shape it. He just needed to figure out what to shape it into.

Since he was training the technique at B rank, his clay creations would reach a max size eight feet. That was bigger than him. Sure he could create something smaller, but that would be a waste. If he could make something up to eight feet tall, then he might as well. Turning towards the voices inside his head, he began to ask for suggestions. Thinking by himself would take him longer than he would’ve like. Plus some of the suggestion given to him were ones he never would’ve thought of.

Do a coyote!

Try an anteater.

An ostrich would be useful.

There were many suggestions given to him, but these three were the ones he thought of the most. All of these were possible for him to do, but he still needed to pick one. He marked out coyote first. This was because it was too similar to dogs and wolves. He wanted something with a body shape that he hadn’t created yet. An anteater would be neat, but Yamato liked an ostrich better. Unlike an anteater, he could actually ride the ostrich he created. He had never ridden his clay creations before, and it was a new experience he wanted to try.

Moving his fingers delicately, Yamato began to shape his clay. The first thing he molded was the outline. Rolling the clay in his hands, he began forming the long neck that were on ostriches. Once he was finished, he crafted a thick torso. He then finished off his outline by making two long legs. He made the legs almost as long as the neck since they seemed to be around the same size. Now that he finished the outline, he could finally move on to the details.

For the head, Yamato first molded the big wide eyes that ostriches had. When that was finished, he started molding the long beak that was on the edge of the mouth. This took a little bit of time, but after persevering for a little bit, he was able to finish it. He then added the nostrils and tongue to finish off the face. The next part that he worked on was the torso. Yamato didn’t really have to do anything with the neck since ostrich’s didn’t have any special features on it. It was just long.

The next few minutes were spent with him molding the clan on the torso into feather. He knew the gist of what to do thanks to all of the eagles he had created previously. Birds were one of Yamato’s favorite animals to make. The only problem with them were their feathers, but once you got pass that, they were interesting to make. By stacking feathers on top of each other, Yamato was able to give his ostrich’s feathers a fluffy look.

Normally Yamato wouldn’t have done that, but it was actually quite important this time around. The reason was because he was actually going to ride on his clay bird. If he gave feathers layers, it would make the back of the ostrich more comfortable to sit on. On certain missions, he might have to ride a clay animal for longs periods of time. And that would be hell if it wasn’t comfortable. Therefore he would try his best to make his ostrich not only looked neat, but be able to be ridden on.

After working on the feathers for a few more minutes, Yamato was finished with the torso of his clay ostrich. Similar to the neck, the legs of the ostrich were already done, leaving him with only the feet to do. He made the toes of his ostrich thick and clammy. This would allow it to run on rough surfaces without being slowed down. He also added claws at the end to finish off the sculpture. After making sure all the details were there, Yamato placed his clay ostrich on the ground. It was time to see how ridable this clay animal really was.

Performing the handseal for Katsu, Yamato watched as his clay bird disappeared in a puff of smoke. It then emerged several feet bigger than it had been before. Walking over to where it was, he leapt onto its back. Wrapping his arms around its neck so he wouldn’t fall, he ordered it to run around the clearing. As soon as it received its order, the clay ostrich bolted off in a sprint. It was going so fast that Yamato was forced to hold on for dear life. If he let go, he would go flying off.

Yamato kept on riding his clay ostrich for twenty more seconds before telling it to stop. The reason he stayed on for this long at the speed it was going was because he wanted to see how long he would last. There might be an upcoming battle where he had to run away. If he flew off his ostrich while he was escaping, not only would he be embarrassed, he would be dead. But as long as he held on tight, the odds of him falling were slim.

Although the clay feathers weren’t as comfortable as real feathers, they weren’t that bad. His bottom wasn’t sure from ride it, so that was a plus. His arms were a little sore though, seeing as how he was holding the neck of his clay bird quite tightly. He probably didn’t need to have held it that tightly, but he didn’t want to risk falling off at that time. All of the ground around him was earth and dirt. And these two things were not pleasant to land in. Especially at a high speed.

The only problem Yamato had with his ostrich was that it was hard to right for a long period of time. His arms were already sore from holding the neck, and it hadn’t even been that long. It wasn’t the fault of his clay bird either. Ostriches just weren’t meant to be ridden. For instance, if he had created a horse, it would have been way easier to ride. That was because horses were meant to be ridden. Ostriches weren’t. They were meant to run around and do whatever thing normal ostriches did.

Patting his ostrich on his back, Yamato let it run off into another clearing before making it explode. Normally he would have made it attack the nearby tree and explode, but he didn’t think the tree could handle that much damage. His brother would get made if he destroyed too. Before pulling out another piece of clay, he headed inside. Once he was in his house, he headed for his brother’s room. Once he got there, he quickly went in and grabbed the animal book that was on his bookshelf.

After grabbing the book, Yamato headed back outside. But this time he went in his front yard, rather than his back. The reason for this was because he was no longer training at his house. He would actually be training at a training spot in his village. The only reason he was doing this was because the training spot had a lake in it. Since his house didn’t have any water sources near it, he was unable to create any clay fish. There might come a time where he needed animals that could swim, so he needed to create them before that time came.

Yamato walked around the village for fifteen minutes before reaching where he needed to be. Sure enough, a lake was there, off to the side. Now he could finally create some fish. Walking to the edge of the water, Yamato sat down. Once he was in a comfortable position, he popped a piece of clay in his mouth. Concentrating on the chakra near his throat, he began the process of moving it towards his mouth. After around twenty seconds, he completed the task.

The time he spent moving the chakra to his mouth just get on going down and down. The reason for this was because he kept on training it. And even if he didn’t want to, he was forced to train chakra movement. This was because all of his clan techniques required him to do it. If he didn’t none of them would work. Once a sufficient amount of chakra was in his mouth, Yamato infused his clay with it. Now all he had to do was distribute it.

Although Yamato had not found any shortcuts, the time for distributing his chakra was going down. He did the same thing each time. Move the chakra around using his molars, and then use his tongue to get the rest. So far this technique had been working pretty well. And since this was faster than any other way, he used it. Once the chakra was evenly distributed in the clay, Yamato spat it out in his palm. He looked at it for a couple of seconds before moving on.

Now that his clay was done, Yamato needed to think of an animal again. However this time he was limited the ones he could create. They needed to be able to either swim or float on the water. Basically animals that lived in the water. Tilting his head to the side, he waited for the answers to start rolling in. It was at moments like these where Yamato was glad to have voices in his head. They made troublesome tasks so much easier.

A whale would be nice.

Try a squid!

Similar to last time, Yamato narrowed the choices down to three. The first one he knocked off was the whale. Although it would be interesting to create, the maximum size he could make it was eight feet. When his clay creations could grow bigger, then he would think about attempting a whale. By making this decision he was left with a giant catfish and a squid. In the end he chose a squid just because it wasn’t a fish. A squid was unique and it seemed more interesting to create than a catfish.

Pulling out his animal book, Yamato looked for the sea animal section. Once he found it, he looked for a picture of a squid. It only took him a few moments of searching to find it. Keeping the book on that page, he placed it off to the side. He put it in just the right position where he would be able to periodically glance at it and mold the clay at the same time. By doing this he could save a lot of time and hassle. He just had to be careful he didn’t actually push the book into the lake.

Moving the clay in between both of his hands, Yamato began to roll it until it looked like a cylinder. When this was done, he made two triangle flaps on either side of the top tip. After that he made a little indent in the clay when he was more than halfway down the cylinder. The next thing he created were the eyes. He made these small and round. Although once he expanded his squid’s size, they would seem quite big.

Once he was done with the eyes, Yamato moved on to the tentacles. Since squids could have any number of tentacles, it was up to him however many he wanted his to have. In the end he chose eight. He chose that number because it was a lot, but not too much. Flipping the clay squid upside down, he began to mold the tentacles. He did this by making eight long cylinder objects and giving them pointed tips.

After the tentacles were made, Yamato began to add small spikes on each of them. Not only would it make his squid look more fearsome, but it would also help his creation latch on to his enemies. Once the spikes were finished, a few little designs on the body. A dot here, some squiggly lines there, and his clay squid was starting to come together. After he finished decoration, he grabbed his squid and tossed it into the water.

As his clay sank in the water, Yamato performed the handseal for Katsu. The moment he did this, the area above his clay squid began bubbling. A few seconds later, a eight foot long squid emerged from the water. Waving its tentacles around, the clay squid began moving through the water. Since this was his first clay creature that could move in water, Yamato was a little curious about it. Therefore he gave it various orders to see what it could do.

The first order he gave it was to jump up and dive down into the water as fast as it could. Waving its tentacles in affirmation, Yamato's clay squid dived down into the water. A few seconds later, it reemerged by shooting its long body out of the water. While it was in the air, the clay squid performed a beautiful flip and dived back into the water headfirst. The whole thing was amazing, to say the least.

The next thing he had his squid do was play catch. Grabbing a nearby stick, Yamato lobbed it towards his clay squid. With a twist of its tentacles, it smacked the stick into splinters. Nodding his head in satisfaction, he ordered his squid to spin around as fast as it could. Bringing it's tentacles as close to the surface as it could, Yamato's clay squid began to spin around. At first it only spun slowly, but as more time fast, the quicker his squid became.

After thirty seconds, his squid had now created a whirlpool. Yamato couldn't even see his squid. All he saw was a blur. If he enemy was caught in this attack, the only thing that waited for him was death. Ordering his squid to stop, he watched as the waters calmed down. Man, it seemed as if water creatures were more useful than their land counterparts. They could do so many things. He had to remember though that it might be based on the creature he made.
