They'd made it.
Isbella knew the woods of Taki like the back of her hand and the border to Earth wasn't a far journey for this little country that had seen on so little change in the time she had been gone. It wasn't your typical type war or battle, there weren't massive climbing pillars of billowing smoke or the chug and cadence of battle music. This was quiet, covert almost and if not for the seismic power of her enhanced hearing painting a picture for her mentally to follow then they might have never found their destination. The trees were packed densely but right where the treeline ended was a massive drop off and a few jagged hills that rolled one over the other and so on. The eyes couldn't see but she had other ways.
The worst part of this whole ordeal...was that their comrades hadn't made it to the trees which left them out there on that barren wasteland, likely ducked down to avoid being picked off. The silence was unnerving and she used the trees to her advantage. With a finger raised and set to her lips she parted the thin tiers and emitted a low trill, like the thrum of birdsong on near silence, sound waves carrying out for a far reach of 100 meters, bounding and bouncing wildly as they clashed and pushed off one another, the landscape and eventually the bodies of five people. She felt them out.. two completely stationary, their seismic readings coming back a bit wider than the rest, likely on their backs of stomachs. The dead medic, but what about the other?
"They retrieved one of the fallen medics, but I don't feel the other one. They are fifty-five meters out from our position exactly. If they haven't moved then that means they are pinned down, possibly by sniper fire from the far ridges. From our position I felt nothing for as far as 45 meters from their position, so that means they must be far off on another ridge... or underground. I've no way to sense underground." She adjusted her goggles, headphones, her eyes from behind the stained flash resistant glasses stayed on Yama, "He is our medic for this mission, so he takes safety priority. I think it best if no one had Underground Fish Projection jutsu, that we go around and break out of the treeline from behind the direct line of sight from the far mountain ridge. We can cover a ton of ground quickly in the concealment of the forest."
Her melody arm clanked softly and she smiled a glaringly bright grin to her two Genin, "Have little fear, we are all going to make it back in one piece. I will be the scout and the main offensive if they come down on us. No matter what, you two are going to make it back to the village with the people down there, so lets go." She jabbed her chin to the far left and pushed off the tree of Taki that kept one of it's own hidden from the sight of the enemy, darting in near silence.
