Shomenuchi Ikkyo Ura
Rank: "C"
Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: A spinning take down with an elbow lock defense against a high attack.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Picture From Ai Hanmi, initiate the movement by extending your right tegatana into your partner's face while advancing with your left foot. Align the toes of your left foot with your partner's toes in order to establish a proper distance. Grab his elbow firmly with your left hand and his wrist with your right hand. Pivot your right foot to the rear while applying even pressure on his arm with both hands. Pin his arm at a right angle to his body as in Shomenuchi Ikkyo Omote. Just as in Tai no Henko, step toe-to-toe with your partner and use your front foot as a pivot on which to turn out of the way. Move your hands and feet in unison. Twist your hips the instant you align the toes of your left foot with those of your partner's right foot in order to break his balance. Bring him down with a feeling of circular pushing and turning. When an opponent is on the ground, the user is free to break an elbow, dislocate the shoulder, dislocate the write, or even strike the controlled target. The user is able to redirect 10% of the opponent's fighting power back to the opponent when performing this technique as a counter.
Limit: Must learn from an Aikido Master. Must know Shomenuchi Ikkyo Omote.
Kisara was so focused on her training, as she rightfully should be as her student stood back up offering her the Shomenuchi strike as she lazily as she inhaled a slow breath of energy as she focused on the flow of momentum between herself and her opponent. First and foremost, Kisara raised her right hand up to intercept the blow at the wrist as she focused her Ki out beyond her body, straight past the wrist as she visualized the theoretical movement of the arm blade as her hand would in theory be able to move past her and he would simply fall down; however it would defeat the purpose of training the technique in it’s pure Ura form. The Spinning take down would require focus, and a decent amount of understanding where his center of gravity was as well as the movement and natural bending of the body. To Kisara it was just her and her Nage, the only thing that she could focus on as she prepared to engage her other hand. The timing and accuracy of her left hand had to be precise as the target was the nerve just above the elbow, which would allow her to control the elbow. It was important to understand how the human body worked so that it could be exploited. Being so small, Kisara always had to be an efficient fighter, rather than a strong fighter.
Using the back of his elbow by pressing on it with her left hand, Kisara rolled the arm just in front of the fellow as she stepped to the side, letting the circular stepping work as a means of taking the fellow down. It wasn’t an aggressive takedown, but it was more so a movement that was fluid like water. Kisara started moving and feeling the motion of the technique as she bent the fellow’s elbow, straightening it out as she moved in a circular motion. The art of Aikido emphasized circular stepping, circular motions, and even more so circular transitions into the takedown. The stepping motion required pinpoint focus as she threw him using the circular motion to release the fellow, sending him down to the ground. It was a modified version of the takedown, using it as a throw; however it was something that would allow her to get someone away from her without using any excessive force. She was a gentle warrior, that didn’t require much of anything but knowing where to direct and where to strike. It was about being soft and fluid rather than strong. Being as little as Kisara was, it was the only way that she could do any sort of damage rather than striking; which wouldn’t result in anything other than Kisara getting knocked down.
Kisara really needed to stay focused as the fellow tumbled into the ground thanks to her throw. It was well timed, and had been a pure result of using skill in her jujitsu over strength. Misuzu Jujitsu used only skill to direct blow rather than strength like traditional jujitsu. She quickly preformed the technique again, feeling the same spinning motions as she noticed the girl speaking and gesturing something that she couldn’t quite understand as she twisted the fellow’s arm pinning him down to the ground as she observed the woman who was trying to signal something to her. She could see the mouth moving and a hand gesture, but still she was a little confused as to what it was she wanted. She visualized the technique she had just pulled off, savoring the movements, and the foot placement especially as she recreated the scene in her head, at least to the point where she could acutely recreate it with a similar high strike if she wanted to. It would be easy for her to take an enemy down if she had to; however the point of Jujitsu was fighting without fighting, avoiding conflict when possible. Kisara would be a much better diplomate, had it not been for the fact that she couldn’t understand speech well with her deaf ears. Hearing the basic tone of blank soundwaves against her ears, Kisa relinquished her grip on the fellow’s arm, standing up.
“No I don’t understand.” Kisara signed to the woman almost expectant of no reply as she pointed at herself and shook her head no so that she was clearly understood that she didn’t understand. She took that read moment to visualize the technique, following the footwork, the concept of elbow manipulation on an upper level strike. The body moved in the same way as the ken did, so consequently these techniques were designed to take on an armed opponent, and to counter act an attack with a weapon. Kisara scanned the girl, looking her over with a dull expression on her face as she was more focused on her forms than she was on the woman before her to be quite honest. It was as simple as someone interrupting her training to become a warrior worthy of the Misuzu Jujitsu, which she was so fond of. She was using her family’s secret techniques, founded and developed in water country and trying to translate them into her own Kusagakure interpretation of the martial art. She could see the movement of the body corresponding with the technique, never forced, but directed. It was as simple as that.
