Aether Infusion // Post 1 - ??/20
Aether Infusion
Rank: "C"
Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: By using the power of winds the user can increase the range increment of their weapons and apply a defensive ability to them.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: The user becomes particularly adept at using Spring Time of Youth Points to become one with the air around them, manipulating it to enhance their attacks and defenses and obscure them from their opponents. By taking 1 point of Spring Time of Youth Points Burn as part of a ranged attack, the user can increase the range increment of any ranged weapon he wields by 3 meters feet, plus an additional 3 meters at "C" Class, and again at "B" Class. This effect lasts for 2 rounds. By taking 2 points of Spring Time of Youth Points burn, the user can surround themselves with a whirlwind of air that obscures them from view, protecting them as though they were affected by a Blur Jutsu for 3 rounds. By taking 4 points of Spring Time of Youth Points burn, the user can use Mirror Image as a Chakra-like ability.
Limit: Must be a practitioner of The Eight Celestial Gates. Must be a practitioner of the Vayist Philosophy.
It was time to get up from this rest, the world was continuing to spin on its axis and revolve around the sun as he sat here and traversed his own mind for the answers to questions that could easily be found in the waking world. His body stretched out from the meditative pose that he was in, feeling the energies in the air as he moved around and took in deep breaths; it was a wonder how stiff one could get within a few minutes. Though before he could even have a bit of rest, his mind was wandering once more on how he could utilize the power of the Vayist in more ways; how could be become stronger with his newfound abilities. Ideas began to flood his mind about different things he could try and get working, probably most of them would work while others would fail; but that was the best thing about training. Zeri would crack his knuckles with a wide spread grin, moving over to his stuff and picking up a couple of his Kunai so he had one in each hand; having a rather nice idea on how to utilize some of his energy to increase the range of his throwing weaponry.
His mind raced with ideas on how to actually achieve this though, which method would feel more like himself; thus working the easiest and taking the least amount of energy from his very veins. He could always go with some condensed wing concentrated around the tip and end of the Kunai, thus increasing the effective range and even flying speed of it in kind. It wouldn't be all too easy for him, since he didn't really understand the nature of wind; might be a bit easier if he took the time to train his Ninjutsu, but that was for a different time. Concentrating the mingled energies around the palm of his left hand, he would begin focusing the energies to gather and condense the wind so that it was in an easier form for him to manipulate. It was just as he thought though, after realizing he was a vayist; that wind was rather easy for him to manipulate and do things with. After a few minutes of gathering the energy in his palm and condensing the wind, first times usually take a while, he felt that he had enough to do this correctly; using the kunai in his right hand to see how much of a range difference he would be able to get.
Once all of the wind was condensed just right in his palm, would come the time to actually apply it to his kunai; a small amount at the tip of the blade, and the greater amount at the back of the pommel. The wind at the tip of the blade would quickly begin swirling down and creating a small vortex which would act as a way to make the kunai more aerodynamic; while the wind at the back acted as a push. This kunai would fly further and faster than the one in his right hand; this was for certain. A grin would spread across his face as he takes aim into the treeline; feeling that the best way to do this would be to hopefully hit a tree with each and count the distance between the two of them from the starting point. Ground counts too, but a tree would mean that he had hit a target, which would be the better thing to do. Cocking his arms back, taking aim deep into the treeline, Zeri would swing both arms forward at the same time and let both Kunai go at the same time; seeing them soar through the air for a few minutes before the right handed kunai finally reaches its limit before falling to the ground. The left handed kunai on the other hand flies a great deal further than the other, finally hitting the ground a bit further down.
After a few moments having thrown the kunai, the winds die down and Zeri will begin walking towards the kunai and counting his steps to see how far they both flew. It was simple to see that the one with the winds flew on further than the one without; but by how much was a better question for Zeri, so he could better know these things in combat. So far, looked like the one without had flown a good seven meters, with his specialism in throwing it would seem he got a bit more of a distance than normal. Picking up the blade, he would twist it over a finger as he walked to the other kunai now, quite pleased with the distance that this one flew. His feet would carry him a good six meters before he reached the other Kunai; this one had nearly doubled the distance of the one that wasn't enhanced by the winds of the Vayist. Picking this one up, he would begin walking back to the clearing, wondering what else he could do if he put his mind to it.
