Character Depth
Personality:
She is a sweet girl, although she is a very self-depreciating. After spending the first half of her life being told how much of a failure and disappointment she was, she doesn't have much in the way of traditional confidence. However, she does know that she's smarter than most people, and does enjoy talking down to those, who she sees as having lower than exceptional intelligence. It gives her a sense of power making her feel as if she isn't as talent-less as she has been told she is. She is not a fan of Ninja, at all... she resents them completely.
She will refuse to work with a ninja, if it is at all her choice. If push came to shove, she wouldn't kill one in cold blood, but she wouldn't go out of her way to help one either. She doesn't like the idea of ninja. She doesn't like the way they operate, she doesn't like the way they treated her, and she doesn't trust them, at all. Although she doesn't trust anyone to be honest. No one other than her adoptive father, Mordin. Everyone else has either abandoned her, or cast her out, like so much garbage. This has resulted in a mental disorder to form, like all those of the Kamyuja blood. She personally suffers from a mild form of Avoidant Personality Disorder.
She believes herself to be personally unappealing and avoids social interaction for fear of being ridiculed, humiliated, rejected, or disliked. However, she knows that she can not hide herself away from the world as she wishes because Mordin needs her help. So when she leaves to do things with him, she wears a Gas Mask and heavy Clothing to hide her face, and body. She has found that people or more incline to avoid her, the more she covers herself. She thinks this is because it give her an intimidating look. It is actually because she is a very attractive young lady, so covering herself actually draws more attention away from her, rather than getting the same stares, only to scare away advances. This has lead to very few, other than Mordin, knowing what she looks or even sounds like. She has also found that this gives her more confidence when she's covered. People can't reject something they don't truly know. It leaved her free to be more like her true self.
Also, because of her feeling of worthlessness, she will cut herself whenever she has failed, at anything. She does this as a punishment to herself, or as motivation to be better, although she doesn't really think she ever could be. It doesn't help matters that no matter how many times she cuts herself, there are no marks, no scars left behind. She can't even bleed properly, and this in turn makes her even more angry about her failures, and leads to her hurting herself even more. She takes on a completely different personality when she deals with Mordin, who seems to make her feel as if she has a purpose and talent, or when she dons her Gas Mask and cloak.
Beneath the mask, she is curt, and belittling. While not overly confident, she is far more confident than normal. She is deceive, and quick witted. She has no respect for the laws of man, and the only thing she will listen to is the words of Mordin. She doesn't trust anything that ANYONE says, or who they say they are. If she is separated from Mordin, for even a couple of minutes, he will need to say their secrete word of the day, or she won't believe it's him either. However, while she has confidence with her mask and clothing on, the moment it comes completely off in public, she begins to feel vulnerable and insecure, and if Mordin isn't around when this happens it isn't too unexpected for her to fall to pieces.
She isn't above killing someone if Mordin asks her to. Whether or not she has her Mask on, she is vulnerable to compliments, especially if they are genuine. This vulnerability is more evident when her mask is off. While she is vulnerable to such compliments, it will not make her trust you or stop her from doing what Mordin has asked of her. Conversely, ridicule and disparaging remarks enrage her when her mask in on, and will usually result in her attacking the party that has insulted her. With her mask off, she will go into a depression, and will begin to hurt herself in penance for her failures.
However, there is one thing that supersedes everything else. Her desire to make Mordin proud of her, and to protect him. She will shutout everything else, if it means accomplishing the task laid out before her. If Mordin is in danger, she would bring the world to its' knees and crush its' very soul to save, or protect him.
Appearance:
Morty has an athletic build this is not due to any extra working out, but do to her Kamyuja heritage. Her body is always in peak condition regardless. Her muscles are firm from her neck muscles to her buttocks down to the ligaments in her toes. She is a being over flowing with tremendous physical power. This power is housed in a seductive frame. Her body is well portioned with measurements of 36"-26"-36", and soft in all the right places. Her head is shaved on the left side, and she has long flowing black locks over the rest. She wears a necklace and has several piercings located all over her body.
There are quite a few piercings in her ears, and well as one on her lip, and two next to her left eye. Her eyes are an oddity, and not just because of her Bloodlimit. Even without it activated, the sclera of her eyes are pitch black, while her iris is a blood red color. She has a long flawless neck that extends to the rest of her body. A body that is covered with soft silky skin, and even though she is known to injure herself often, and has suffered deep, and for any other person fatal wounds, there isn't a single scar on her entire body. This is thanks to the regenerative abilities she was blessed or maybe cursed with since birth.
While her skin in flawless, it is not without markings. All over her body are what seem to be tattoos. While some of them are indeed tattoos. A large majority of the markings on her body are rituals seals placed on her by Mordin for her protection, or just out of curiosity, it's hard to tell sometimes. She usually doesn't bother with make up, but she does use a clear lip gloss. She also paints her own fingernails. She paints them to match the color of her eyes, with some combination of red and black. The exact style and pattern she uses varies from day to day. She also chooses to dress differently depending on where she is or where she is heading.
Casual Clothing
When alone with Mordin, at home or someplace private, she will were more revealing clothing, to let her skin breath. She will wear a spaghetti strap dark gray tank top, with black designs on it's front. Underneath that she will wear an additional black spaghetti strap tank top, that she likes to let bleed through. Sometimes she wears a plain white spaghetti strap tank top in place of the gray. Over the shirt she will wear a thin gray cardigan, when crafting, or a black lab coat if she is helping Mordin with something in his lab.
On her legs she wears a pair of very short black shorts, and a pair of stocking that she has cut holes into. These stocking are held in place by stocking straps that go up the side of her legs. And on her feet are a pair of mid calf high combat boots.
Out in the Field
When in the outside world, she is completely covered. She wears a Gas Mask, equipped with googles, that have several specialty lens, and a re-breather, all which is combined into some headgear, so that the Gas mask works more like a helmet than a mask. The Gas mask is bound to a suit of Morty's own creation, although there is still much improvement to be made. The Helmet attaches to a specialty crafted shirt that is attached to a pair gauntlets and pants. Those Pants are attached greaves. Over all of it she wears a leather hooded robe, that is usually zipped up, so that Stormaggedon has a perch to rest on . Aside from the robe it is all connected, and looks more like a battle, or hazmat suit then anything else. However, Morty has place compartments that allow her to eat and use the restroom without much trouble, and without having to remove her gear, completely.
Her Suit not only makes identifying her impossible, but makes the sound of her voice difficult to determine. It is often muffled by the mask, as she seldom takes to time to open the compartment to talk to others, as she feels her words can be heard well enough without it doing so.
Background:
The first half of Morticia's life was not a pleasant one. She was born to a father of the Kamyuja blood. He was a powerful man and very abusive, more so to Morticia's mother than anyone else. He seldomly would attempt to hold back his strength, resulting in terrible injuries for her. Her mother would find a brief moment of happiness when Morticia was born. She was a beautiful baby, and her mother was filled with light when ever she held her. This would last about 3 months, until one day while gripping her mothers finger, Morticia's strength manifested and broke her mother's finger.
She was just a baby, she had no clue what she was doing, but her father found great pleasure in the display of power that Morticia had displayed. However, her mother would grow to fear, and then hate the girl, feeling that she was nothing more than a terrible abusive clone of her father. As she grew older, her mother grew more distant, and became to resent her even more. She saw the strength the girl had as she played with her father, capable of tossing he grown man into the air like a rag doll much to her fathers delight. The mother grew fearful of what the girl could become, and she went into her room while she slept.
With knife in hand she would slit the girl throat. After she had commented the act she began to scream hysterically after fully relieving what she had done. She stumbled into the kitchen with the knife, and Morticia's father burst into the room to see what had happened. Looking at the bloody knife in her hand, he grabbed her by the throat and demanded to know what she had done. Morticia would soon come stammering in, with a confused look on her face, and covered in blood. The wound on her neck would begin to heal before their eyes. As Morticia asked what was wrong, her father smiled with pride at the potential his little girl had, and her mother quivered with fear.
While her mother would continue to distance herself from Morticia, calling her a monster when ever she got the chance, she remained the apple of her fathers eye, that was until she turned 5. Unlike her father, Morticia was a sweet girl. She was beautiful and enjoyed to see beautiful things. She loved flowers and pretty clothing. She wanted to be a designer when she grew up. However, her father had much different plan for her. He would begin to train her to fight, and entered her into the academy as soon as she was capable. But, all that potential he saw in her didn't seem to manifest. She had no talent for molding chakra, this was well enough, many of the Kamyuja blood could not mold chakra.
In most cases this just made them more dangerous, as it gave them more time to focus on their taijutsu. For Morticia, her ability with taijutsu wasn't much better. she had no problems with the physical aspects of being a ninja, she was far stronger and more athletic then any of the other children in her class, but she could not move her body with any real skill. Any fine tuned movements were very difficult for her to do. Even with extra training with her father, she was not able to get it down. This turned her father's love into disdain. His beatings shifted from his wife, now to his little girl.
This would coming for 4 years. While her grades and written exams were excellent, she was making no progress, in the physical portion of her ninja training. It didn't help that she didn't have the support of her parents, or any friends at school would wanted to assist her. They were either afraid of her monstrous strength, or would ridicule her for her lack of ability. Her days sloughed along, as she sunk deeper and deeper into despair. It came to a head when she came home from Taki's ninja Academy, and told her parents that she was asked to leave, as she was making no real progress, and they didn't feel she was fit to be a ninja.
Her father, who was a Jounin, was enraged by this news. Instead of a consoling hug or helpful words, her father smacked her to the ground. He began to call her useless, she tried to tell him that she was trying her hardest. She really was, even though she had no real desire to be a ninja. She just wanted to design and make pretty things. When he heard this his rage over took him and he punched her with such force that she went through the wall that lead to her room. She would lay there fully conscious, sobbing her poor little eyes out. She could hear her parents arguing in the other room. Both of them blaming the other. She could hear her mother, calling her a monster and a beast. her father laughing, wishing that were true, blaming her mother's worthless blood making her soft and meek.
She could hear her parents calling names that no child should hear from their parents. Trash,Monster, Worthless, Beast, Failure, Disgusting.... Each word spoken seemed to break her down more and more. Morticia was in a fetal position, shaking like a leaf. Then something her mother said, made her because completely undone, "You should have let me kill her..." Morticia sobbing stopped as something in her mind just snapped. Her eyes went pitch black and she stood up from the ground. She slowly walked into the kitchen where her parents were and let out a terrifying yell. In a blind rage she rushed her father first.
He was caught off guard as she leveled him with a punch to his temple. He hit the floor, as a crater was left at the point of impact. After he had been knocked out she turned and charged her mother, who had enough time to grab a knife to try and defend herself. The knife did nothing as it broke under the power of her punch, and her mother's skull followed suit. By the time her rampage had ended all that was left of her parents was blood stains on the ground. She stood there covered in blood, breathing heavily. It took her a moment to figure outt what she had just done, the only thing awakening any memory of what just happened was her remembering her father's smile, and him chuckling as she beat him into a literal bloody mess, and him saying, "That's my girl..." Morticia let out a scream and held her head.
She remained in that room for almost two days, the blood had dried, and she had sent those two days cutting her self as she mumbled, "I'm a good girl... I can do better.I promise I'll do better. I am not trash. I'll do better." She would repeat this mantra, hoping to die every time she cut herself. Soon a strange man, by the name of Mordin would enter into what seemed like an abandon home. He would take the girl and began to raise her as his own. Over the next 10 years, she would come into her own. Mordin was able to see the girls talents unlike anyone had before. Her ability to intake knowledge, and understand it was astonishing, not to mention her super strength, and regenerative abilities. This made her a perfect Assistant, and #1 Subject, for his experimentation.
Having a Subject that was nearly impossible to kill, helped him greatly in his research. Morticia also benefited from Mordin. Although he was a little off, he was still far more loving than her own parents, and he made her feel as if she wasn't trash, or a monster. He made her feel as if she was truly special. He knew the proper way to instruct her unlike her parents or her academy teachers. he was even able to help her learn the Tree Climbing and Water Walking skills, something she was sure that she'd never be able to do. She still couldn't mold chakra in any meaningful way, and complexx taijutsu styles were still far out of her grasp... expect for the Drunken Fist.
It became very clear that the girl clearly had talent, and potential. The problem was the people who dealt with her in the earlier stages of her life, didn't see it, because it wasn't the clearly evident talent. They couldn't think outside of the box. With Mordin, there is no box, the box never existed, it is an insult to even mention box. There are no limits, no possibles that can not be explored. It was this reason that Mordin is able to bring out the best in Morticia. However, the mental damage her parents had done to her would not be so easily healed. While she has much more confidence than she use to she now suffers from Adviodant Personalty Disorder. It is a struggle for her everyday she goes out in public, but she has found her own way to make that work as well.
Given her early life she is a well adjusted girl now living happily with Mordin, even taking on his name. She has even gone as far as to call him father from time to time. Though she sticks with Professor, while in the lab. She would tell that Morticia James Died with her abusive bastard of a father, and her cold bitch of a mother. She is now Subject #1: Morticia Solus, The Undying.
