Landing with a crash as yet another powerful area of effect shocking attack enveloped it, the hydra screamed. It was an almost pitiful sound, and evidence that it had failed to squash the difficult to see target. White on white was difficult for its many eyes to identify.
It struggled to move far enough fast enough to escape the massive field, but the jolts to its muscles were making movement too difficult. There was no way it would be able to act aggressively like this, being reduced solely to defending itself. Why had these little things come to hurt it? Why were they so strong? It didn't know. It couldn't. But it felt in its heart that it was going to die here. Resigned to that fact, its morale was broken and its eleven surviving heads drooped in defeat.
Out of its peripheral vision, one head could see the pink thing charging into close quarters. She accepted the powerful shock surrounding the hydra in order to jump first onto its back, then onto its neck spines, before finally leaping to the top of its head. It was in pain, same as the hydra, but was able to continuously restore its condition somehow.
The other heads could see it clearly perched upon its target, rearing back a fist before bringing it crashing down with startling power. Once. Twice. The skull shattered, perforating the brain, and as agony shuddered along the hydra's body and the head began to fall, it jumped across to the next and repeated the process.
Three heads fell in this way before it leapt to the woods away from the hydra, forced to retreat lets it suffer the same impairments as the hydra. But that didn't save it from the pink one's burning fury. One last blast of heat surged from the cover, smashing against the weakened head blinded earlier and exploding. This killed that head outright, and heavily wounded the remaining eight.
The hydra wept, though in no fashion that would be recognizable to humans, and just wished for the pain to stop.
