Slyph’s Orb
Rank: “C” Rank
Skill: Ninjutsu, Offensive
Effect: Causes a small burst of wind to shoot forth from the user’s hand in the shape of an orb.
Special: “Hand Seals”
Drawback: The attack is clearly visible, causing distortion as the orb moves forward.
Description: The Slyph’s Orb is a wind-based ninjutsu in which the user will project a burst of wind, shaped with chakra to resemble an orb, in a straight line towards a target. The user will perform the handseals, gathering the required chakra as they create a small vacuum around their hand. The air, once gathered, will compress itself into the shape of an orb, about six inches in diameter. It is then launched from the user’s hand by the user extending their arm forward in a punching-like motion. The orb itself will move quickly, its’ speed as the orb travels causing a great amount of distortion in the atmosphere. It is capable of easily dispersing most secondary weapons and, in fact, is capable of dragging those said weapons along with them as the orb moves forward. Capable of traveling a maximum distance of ten meters, it will travel at a speed of around 2 meters per second, and then the orb will reach its’ final destination and burst five feet in radius, creating a centralized air explosion that is powerful enough only to knock over objects weighing less than 200 lbs. The main use of this ability is to catch opponent’s secondary weapons as they launch them, or, perhaps, use after your own secondary weapons are thrown, and then cause them to be flung about in all directions at the end of the burst. If at any point the Slyph’s Orb is incapable of moving forward, the burst will be prematurely activated.
Limit: Must have the Wind Release.
When Tamotsu regained his balance, Kinzoku turned to him and said:
"Nice to meet you as well Tamotsu. And you're pretty modest. Being able to control fūton like that after being outside of the academy for just a month is pretty impressive."
Tamotsu said: "Thanks, I've gotten pretty good at it, it's sort of my specialty for now, and yeah I've been training quite a bit since I got out of the Academy, I've never gone on a mission or anything like that but I've gotten considerably stronger since then.
Kinzoku at this point was pointing to where they had both gotten here from, (I'm gonna assume Tamotsu can't see it?) Tamotsu looked but wasn't sure what he was pointing at so he asked "You ok? What are you pointing at?" At this point Tamotsu was playing around with wind chakra in the palm of his hand pulling it in using his chakra to form some sort of vacuum, however he didn't even notice he was doing this, it was kind of automatic, to keep himself occupied with something as he talked.
Kinzoku just said:
"I've been a Genin about a year. Hopefully, I'll be Chūnin soon. But this technique right here is called Shunshin. I could teach it to you if you would like."
Tamotsu listened to Kinzoku and said: "Really? In that case I wish you the best of luck in becoming a chunin" Tamotsu then listened to the rest of what he had to say and although he normally disliked having someone teaching him something, he would often make exceptions and this kid didn't seem bossy or anything like that so he went along with it "Shunshin huh? I'm pretty sure I've heard of it, I think in a book or something, and sure, it'd be great if you could teach me" As Tamotsu said this, he was smiling in a polite yet childish way.
He still hadn't noticed the ball of wind starting to condense in his hand, he was using very little chakra in it, so it was taking quite a while to form, but at this point had started to condense making Tamotsu notice, he was a bit shocked to see it at first which made him shake his arm from the surprise, causing the ball to very rapidly fly in the direction he had flung it in before it collided with a tree, bursting into a blast that managed to knock it down.
