Fallen Sphinx...
There was a place that had once been home to traveling hereos and warriors, destined to find great lands and complete conquests that they never imagined. Statues and sphinxes which had once been raised in their glory had faded and whithered, their heads falling to the sand in disarray and succumbing to the forces of sand and wind. The sun shone today, but the wind still buffeted the location every few minutes whipping up small sandstorms that could affect the eyes. Those who weren't accustomed to such weather might have been displeased, but not Valerys Kedoin. She seemed satisfied with the unyielding atmosphere. Today she wore her usual appearance, not expecting that she would need to disguise herself so soon. She had short auburn hair and red eyes, with a cute body and smile that she had designed herself -- as well as her outfit, which was a red, tight body suit with a skirt.
A messenger pack was strapped over her shoulder which held three standard shot vials and an empty flask, in case she happened to find something while she was out here, as well as two spring razors. A butt bag was strapped to her right butt cheek which held fifty senbon and two kunai. In her hand was a tiny (about a foot long), folded up bundle of what appeared to be pieces of a pole with a blade on one end -- but was really her spear, Bitter Mercy which had been crafted for her in the Sand Village thanks to the Kazekage and his allies. She held the bundle tight in her hands, excited for when she would finally get the chance to use it. Her Sand Village headband swung at her throat, displayed proudly here in the Land of Wind where many knew of her hidden village.
Although she didn't expect to meet anyone out here, Valerys knew it was always a possiblity and prepared herself for anything. As she got closer to the fallen sphinx heads, she glanced around and took a seat on one of them -- letting her body rest for a bit before continuing to move on. She wondered out into the vast desert landscape and thought about the journeys that she had ahead of her. She had been told to seek out shinobi of other village and determine if they were worth bringing to the Sand Village or else where for a meeting. Although she wasn't aware of her village's final plans, she was happy to help and maybe kill a few people along the way? Her bloodlust had been raging afer being so kind within the village and now she hoped to find some satisfaction along the way. But she knew when to play nice, her training and background had made sure of that. In fact, what was a fight without a little bit of foreplay?
