The Nightman Cometh

Objective: A spooky figure has been sighted in the yard of a resident of the village.
Description: David is a stocky man with one arm, a retired guard for a town in a far away land who lives in Sunagakure to sell his lovely flowers, and was not a superstitious man until recently, when he was having bad dreams about a shadowy figure skulking around his house, only to wake up and find that his garden gnomes had been pilfered! Requesting aid from the village, he would like to see some Shinobi protect his garden from this shadowy figure. Although it seems scary, a shadowy figure and garden gnome theft; there are many possible explanations, from kids stealing them as a prank, to a neighbour being a sleepwalking kleptomaniac. Find out who is stealing those gnomes and inform David. David can be found sitting on the second floor of the Kazekage tower, asleep against the wall. This mission can be taken by up to three Shinobi.

Amira had been waiting outside the fellow's house for quite a while, she thought to herself as she approached the backyard of the fellow who had requested the help of a shinobi. She was a bit surprised that her first operation after returning to active duty was something so remedial, but one had to start somewhere. She opened the gate and saw an older man there in the garden, preparing a few things as the dawn light was falling over th village. "Hi, I'm Ami...I mean I'm Aoi, I'll be the Genin helping you today, I heard you have a problem with a theif taking your guarden gnomes?" Amira asked as the fellow with one arm looked her up and down. "That's a right, but I'm expecting some results...and i know what I payed for so don't be expecting much when you pay for the lowest of the low." He grumbled as he looked Amira up and down. 

Amira was dressed in her Khaki BDU, with her tatical chest rig, which housed her Ninja ID, one tatical knife, her radio, and a few explosive tags and 3 pistol crossbow magazines. She had a buttbag with her umbrite Tanto hung towards her left hand hung over the bag. Inside the bag she housed a pair of manicles with a masterwork lock. She also housed a tracking divice and the trackers that went along with the equipment. Her hair was tied back in a neat braid and her boots were tatical in nature. She was prepared to fight. Her compact hand crossbow w/ a red dot sight was hung on her right leg hoslter with a magizine loaded in as well as a full magizine and a pair of kunai knives. She was a tatical officer afterall. She took a moment to scan the garden, noticing that it was much greener than most places in the village. 

"Don't worry sir, I'll look after your garden tonight...don't fear." She told the fellow as she popped him a respectful salute while she thought about good places to hide. She was an expert of stealth to some accounts, and she was thinking that if she found a place that she could watch the gnomes quietly, then she might be able to locate the culpret to who was messing with the small statues. This was intresting she thought to herself as she looked a bush, wondering if she could fit inside the sticky looking piece. She noticed a few different fountains and a shed that housed a few items there. All these places lacked the good view of the gnomes; which were linined from the house to the garden gate. 

She noticed that there was a pretty good vine set up with pumpkins just by the path in a patch that she could try to hid under. She weaved herself under the vines as she took out her binoculars; which were stashed in her buttbag, preparing to stakeout the gnomes. "This is going to be a long night," Amira grumbled to herself as she stayed quiet watching the spot and blending in with the sand.

Amira had been watching for a few hours to no avail. She had seen a few insects, and a desert fly, but nothing more than common animals had come across the gnomes. She looked through the lenses of the binoculars, checking out each clay figure as the night went on. Amira could have sworn that she had been there for at least three hours. This sure is boring she thought to herself as she shifted her positioning quietly. She felt as if she was wasting her time. This was clear from the moment that she came into the garden. That being said, Amira was professional, and was assigned a task. She figured that she would just sit through the night on this one, and report what she saw. This thought came to her head just as she heard the strangest sound. There was a metal clicking at the gate, something that from her position, she couldn't see quiet yet. 

What could that be? She thought to herself as she slowly reached down towards her pistol holster. She would need to be ready if she were going to do something drastic. She turned her head and watched as the wooden gate lathargically swung open. It was as if someone had opened it from the other side. This was strange, since there seemed to be no reason for someone to come and rob this simple garden. Amira sat in watch, waiting as she saw a dark figure enter her view. Shit, someone had been coming to garden after all. Amira could make out that there was clearly a humanoid figure, but there was an element of fear added as she didn't want to take out someone who was just minding their business. She found it very unlikely that someone who was breaking in would need to unlock the door in such a quiet fashion however, as she saw the person moving down the row of gnomes, and one by one snatching them up. This was the strangest thing she had ever seen. This person was actually stealing the gnomes. This was what the contractor had said, but she just couldn't beleive what she was actually seeing. 

How strange, she thought as she drew her pistol, slowly crawling out from her hiding place. This person seemed like they were in a hurry, shuffling the clay fellows into a sack that rattled with it's contents. Amira approached close to the fellow before she pointed her crossbow at the fellow's back. "Put the bag down, put your hands where I can see them!" Amira shouted as she saw the hooded figure drop the bag, clearly panicked as she thought about how she could domestically handle this situation. She had unknowingly created an encounter, that would surely end in conflict. "Let me see you hands!" She demanded one time more before she saw the fellow reach for something in his pocket and turning to face her in one rapid attack. He was stabbing for her person, as this fellow made the clear decision to attack the wrong person. 

Amira had not made any aggressive actions towards the fellow as she lowered her weapon to posture and extened her left hand making a tenkan aikido step. She was defending right this moment pusing the fellow away as she was aware of the situation now. He was prepared to attack her, and Amira would have to attempt to detain this fellow without killing him, without causing any more of a mess than this already was. Why was he here? What was his purpose? There had to be something that made this whole situation make sense.

The fellow attempted to lunge once again, his dagger aimed at her midsection. Amira's ability to react allowed her to enter, taking her free hand, she grabbed his wrist, fighting with the weapon hand as she would attempt to hit him with the butt end of her pistol hilt. The fellow blocked with his hand but he still received a bit of the blow as he recoiled backwards. It was this moment that Amira would attempt to take an action and throw the fellow down. She would use her grappling hand to spin the arm around, into a shihonage like throw as she would drop him backwards quickly in an attempt to hold the fellow down. "I told you to to keep your hands clear, I could have shot you!" She planted the fellow, bending his wrist until he relenquished the knife. She was not pleased with his desire to fight her. "What is your problem? What are you doing here?" She demanded as she put her knee onto the fellow's gullet, putting on pressure as she glared down to see a very young man, his eyes looked crazy from some sort of confusion.

"I...I was told to recover these gnomes...they have drugs inside...my boss, he's the guy who live's here's son." The fellow exclaimed loud enough for Amira to catch the drift. She put on a little more pressure holstering her Crossbow pistol to it's holster with her free hand as she sighed a bit. "All this over drugs in gnomes...this reminds me of back in the day, when Doimed was working drug traffic across the village." She grumbled to herself as she transitioned to a hammerlock hold, rolling the fellow over, and attempting to begin cuffing the fellow. She would put in a report so that the son could be investigated as well, which was all she could do now beyond arresting the fellow who had already broken in. Gnomes were a wierd place to stash drugs, but they were indeed hollow, so it made some sense, Amira thought to herself as she reached into her buttbag and pulled out the manicles out from their hiding place.

"You're under arrest, you have the right to remain silent, everything you say can and will be used against you when presented in court." Amira began telling this fellow his rights as she cuffed the metal link around his wrist. She would finish taking this fellow down to the ANBU headquarters so that she could finish her report and collect her pay for the mission. She cuffed the fellow's other hand, pressing her knee into the young man's back as she pulled his second arm up and finished locking him up. She was a wrestler, it was clear. She also used Aikido as a means to deal with close quarters. She was a CQC expert. She latched up the cuffs and pulled the fellow up to his feet. "you're coming with me, don't expect an easy trip downtown. Amira told the fellow as she grabbed the fellow by the cuff and lead him out of the garden. She picked up the garden gnomes as evidence, and they would surely be returned to the fellow after the investigation.

She made her way to the ANBU headquarters, stepping outside to meet the front guards. "My name is Aoi Fugiwara, I'm here to turn this fellow in for theft and possession of an illegal substance." She stated offering the gnomes and the fellow to the officers. She knew them surely, but they might have forgotten her after all her time away from the ninja scene. She relenquished her hold on the fellow as they reluctantly trusted her judgement. She would sigh as the evening grew darker. Things were going furhter away from what she had planned to do this evening.
