Barbas carefully listened to the replies offered by the mysterious man, his explanation that the flames were not actually flames but just a hot leg seemed somewhat strange, but still, it hinted at his capacity to resist intense heat. Barbas merely nodded as he spoke, active listening as it was called by the humans, in doing so he attempted to convey the fact that he was carefully listening to what the man had to say. Still, the notion that being a hero was what allowed him to remain unharmed was an interesting one.
In fact, Barbas very much doubted that this was the case, instead of assuming rightly or wrongly, that it had been part of the man's training that had allowed such a display of skill without causing major damage to him. After all, he had just spent the best part of their battle launching successive kicks interlaced with spinning motions and rapid movements. All of which must have taken quite the toll on his legs? The mighty Kirin was starting to feel the strain in his arms from holding the shield aloft throughout the combat situation.
But still, it was not something that a few moments of rest couldn't cure, perhaps one of the more remarkable features of the armiger order was their capacity to recover so much strength in such a short span of time. The weakness, of course, is that they could not actively defend using their shield during that time, but still, it did not prevent dodging or the use of other techniques. In fact, if one could aggro manage successfully two armigers could face off against extremely powerful opponents with little risk of damaging themselves. Alas, it seemed that the budding hero was not all that ware of his surroundings. For whilst he spoke he took a baseball bat to the dome, knocking him to the ground. “Are you okay?” Barbas called out seeking to confirm that the man was not gravely injured by the blow.
