Mastering a new stance felt like a great accomplishment. Aaron rejoiced by trying to unfurl the scroll further. Yet before he could reveal the next move a voice interrupted. "Congrats Kamizuru," it said softly from the entrance. Aaron turned to stare at a well-built man dressed in tight clothing to allow maximum movement. Aaron could not be sure, but he might have been the fighter he had witnessed practicing Goken a while ago. "I've seen your practice. A scroll will only get you so far."
Aaron continued to stare at the man. He sensed power in him, raw physical power. "It's worked so far," Aaron spoke with confidence and pride. He had self-taught himself all he knew and had already mastered five Goken attacks on top of the basic and advanced Iron Fist stance.
"I know," he said. "I've seen that you have mastered up to the Advanced Iron Fist stance. No easy accomplishment."
"It seemed simple enough," Aaron responded.
"Which is why I'm even speaking to you," the man responded his voice firm. "Your ability to learn the advanced stance means you have potential. I'm willing to teach you if your serious about Goken," he spoke his voice carrying a love for Goken.
Aaron thought it over. He would need a teacher eventually, but he knew nothing about the man. Well he guessed it couldn't hurt. "Sure," said Aaron.
"We begin now," he said. In a blink of eye he was standing next to the dummy. He grabbed the scroll off the ground and threw it next to the hive. "Take off your gourd and I'll show you true Goken." Aaron complied throwing his gourd over to the hive already in the room. The remaining bees inside were not too happy about the impact but they would adapt. It was a chakra infused hive and the wax was almost if not as hard as solid stone. "The Jigoku Guruma," the man said assuming the Advanced Iron Fist stance, "goes like this." The trainer charged Aaron before he could react throwing him to the ground, performing a somersault over him and grabbing his robe to throw Aaron onto a patch of grass. Aaron landed with a thud on his back. Aaron sighed thinking perhaps he should have stayed with the scroll. It would seem that his teacher was one of those teachers.
"Get up," he said. Aaron simply responded by standing up, his body sore from the unexpected impact. "That is the start of your training. You will master that move," he said. The man showed no change of breath. He must really be a master. "Now you try," he said.
Aaron nodded. He assumed the Advanced Iron Fist stance positioning his knees, elbow, arms and shoulders so that he was ready to try the new attack. He would not hold back on his teacher, not after he was just thrown across the garden. Charging head on but not nearly as fast as the master, Aaron used both cupped hands and forced him to the ground. He moved into a roll and as he came out tried lifting the man but could not grip the fabric which caused Aaron to be thrown off balanced. "Disappointing," he said. "Do it again." Aaron regained his balance and assumed the stance. The trainer stood there also in the stance. Aaron took a big breath. He ran towards his opponent turning his cupped hands into fists as he pushed hard against the chest knocking him to the ground. Quickly rolling his body over the trainer's he stood and tried throwing him again. It was one fluid movement but Aaron wound up on the ground unable to grip his opponent.
Aaron looked at his trainer who shook his head. "You must think of a way if you truly want to learn these moves." Aaron sighed. A scroll would definitely be easier. Aaron considered various possibilities but none would result in him throwing the master. He would not admit defeat but neither could he come up with a way to flip him. Well he would try anyway. Aaron assumed the stance and faced his instructor. Dashing to him Aaron pushed hard against his chest with his cupped hands knocking him down. This time as he rolled across him he realized that the clothing was in fact unable to be grabbed. His hair, on the other hand was fair game. As Aaron rolled right off of his opponent he stuck his arms back and grabbed the hair. Using the momentum of the roll he lifted up his master and hurled him up over his back in a fluid motion. It was not perfect, but it was a solid throw. The trainer managed to land on his feet and looked at Aaron. "Unorthodox but you pass." Aaron breathed a sigh of relief as a smile crossed his lips. "Now do it again." The smile disappeared as quick as it appeared. Aaron nodded. It would do no good to argue with this type of teacher.
Aaron assumed the stance which had become second nature to him by now. Bending his knees a couple times Aaron dashed forward. Using his right leg to push off for added momentum it was his fastest approach yet. Quickly making fists rather than cups he impacted against the man's chest throwing him to the ground. Or at least that was what was supposed to happen. As Aaron pushed him down and was planning his roll the man extended his right leg and kneed Aaron in the stomach. Aaron let out a breath as the wind was knocked from him. He had let go of his opponent. Now the man brought up both feet pushing against Aaron's chest sending him flying backwards into a flower patch. The bees flew away from the flowers irritated but knowing it was useless to sting him. He let out a grunt as the trainer looked down on him. "Final lesson for this attack. It can be dodged if you're not fast or strong enough. Next move."
