With a muttered curse behind her, the Nade’s optics would be returned to her cousin, the eyes active still as she saw the problem. There were abscesses that were coated with tar within Li Mein’s lungs, and those growths were more than likely cancerous tumours. While there was little the Shosen could do about that, she could at least remove the tar that coated her respiratory system. With the healing hands of chakra doing their job, the sticky black carcinogen would slowly dissolve, the chemicals passing from Li Mein’s lungs with her every exhalation.
Myriam was genuinely concerned, after all, her cousin more than likely had cancer, and that was a serious disease. A few more tears stained her cheeks as she vaporized the mass of black gunk that infected her female relative. What had ever given the kunoichi the will to start smoking? She was a medic. She should have known better. After all, it was a well known fact that smoking caused cancer.
Thanking the fact that she herself wasn’t so stupid as to start such a filthy habit, she focused, cleaning yet more of the thick substance from her cousin’s lungs, and hoping it would help at least in some way. With Lionel’s use of the Saisei, her face was looking normal again, although it would more than likely bear scars for the rest of her life. A new batch of tears falling as she had caused Li Mein such sorrow. If she hadn’t tried so hard, the other girl wouldn’t even have been in the situation she was. If she hadn’t made such an effort to use such a strong jutsu…
If there was one thing that Myriam could take from this situation, it would be the knowledge that she would never EVER want to get caught within her own acid cloud. Wiping bitter tears from her cheeks, she would continue on, scraping her cousin’s lung tissue of the disgusting blackness that engulfed it from the inside. Thankfully, she was almost done with it, but it still left the problem of the tumours. Myriam wasn’t one who could perform that kind of operation… not yet anyway. Maybe Lionel could, but what she could do wasn’t nearly enough to match that level of precision.
With the last of the tar dissolved, Myriam went back to patching the holes that remained within her bloodstream. The platelets that had so diligently been rejuvenated and duplicated by her grandfather had made the majority of the holes in the veins and bloodstream coagulated; however, there were still some that required healing. Focusing on these, Myriam would once more curse herself for being so selfish. As much as it wasn’t her fault, she still felt so guilty about having been the cause of the whole misdemeanour.
