After a few hours of meditation, relaxation and planning, Myriam had jumped onto the water. The chakra under her feet and knees kept her on top of the water as she looked into its depths. She ran her hand into the water, the cooling sensation making her smile wildly. She needed to get this specific technique down soon so that her journey into the Water Release could advance. Maybe she should have started with an easy water technique ? A D-Rank possibly could have gone a lot smoother than summoning a bird made of water and making it fly and swoosh, all of this with little experience in the domain of water manipulation. Her eyes were closed as she felt the water molecules within her reach. As she sent chakra through the liquid of life, she felt every molecule, within these molecules she could feel the hydrogen and oxygen. These were too hard to manipulate, yet as a whole she could.
The water’s surface bubbled as the kunoichi took a deep breath, her eyes widened as she felt her chakra make its way out of her hands and into the water. The water lifted itself, seperating itself from the pond. The water lifted itself above Myriam’s head. It took the shape of a triangle, soon edges were trimmed, water fell back into the small lake. The image of a bird was seen, flapping its wings proudly. This time it was not connected to the pond anymore, it flew. It was still too small to be mounted. Hands clenched into the rat seal, Myriam could do nothing else but will her chakra to manipulate even more water into the bird. Strings of water flew from the pond, connecting itself to the bird, and feeding it, it grew, and grew. Its wingspan grew and became longer, the avian’s beak opened as if it was roaring but no sound came out, it probably lacked the proper tools to produce sound.
The bird was as majestic as the young kunoichi had pictured. Its wingspan was grand, its beak clapped, creating a low wave-like sound. The bird landed upon the water’s surface as if it was hard ground. The kunoichi approached it, the rat seal still held tightly between her hands. She pressed her foot against the birds back, sending chakra to the sole of her foot to make her adhere to it. Her other foot slid on the smooth surface of the water and the next thing she knew, her legs were spread to their maximum, her face turning a bright purple. Her concentration was completely lost, the bird crashed into the water, becoming one with it and Myriam sank into the water.
The transparent liquid was all around her, cradling her in its cold grasp. Her eyes widened in fear as she started breathing underwater. She had activated the first water jutsu she had ever learned. She placed her hands into the rat hand seal and molded her chakra into the pores of her skin which then left her body to mix with the water around her. The water shaped itself below her swaying feet. She could see the faint outline of the bird’s form. Soon she was being pushed towards the water’s surface. Her face broke the now calm surface, her body outstretched completely as if she wanted to grasp the sky, yet she stopped, only the head of the liquid bird was out of the water, the medic standing upon it. The bird did not leave into the sky, but why ?
How could I not have thought of it before ?-The genin asked herself as she shook her head in denial. Her hands connected with the head of the bird while still holding the rat seal. She sent another flow of chakra into the water, this time the water directed itself to the wings. Using the Wind Release and Water Release the bird got out of the water, now its whole body standing above the water, its feet only connected with the water. Soon the bird stretched its large wingspan, a silent cry came out of its open beak. Soon it disconnected from the water, launching itself into the sky. Myriam fell to her knees, sending chakra along her feet to keep her floating upon the creation of water. It soared into the sky as the chakra in its wings kept it in the air. She flew into the clouds, higher than she her ever thought going, before diving towards her initial training spot, a grin on the kunoichi’s face.
