Brave Beard- The Messenger of the Kiki Lord

A Two story tavern with a basement. The building is 40 feet by 70 feet. There are 10 tables and a large bar. On the right hand side is a set of stairs to go up, while behind the bar it goes down to the basement. Servants are running around while all sorts of customers as well. People are hustling and bustling trying to serve what is needed. Two Bartenders a female and male are behind the bar, while there are two bar maids. A man would sit at the closest table near the front door. He was a young man wearing white robes as he waited patiently. Waiting for the people to arrive. He would sigh softly and slowly stand up looking at the barkeep. Tell the Ninja I will be waiting in my room.

Where the Messenger is located - Noble (a large private room with large bed, private bath with hot water on request, snacks on request, and private chamber pot in a separate chamber). The door would be wide open as he sit on the bed.

Food that is Sold:

• Breakfast: Meatballs, Chicken eggs, Curds, Currants, Oatmeal
  
• Lunch: Lamb stew, Dragon turtle omelet, Broad beans, Raspberries
  
• Supper: Pork liver, Peas, Cabbage, Nut bread, Applesauce
  
• Snack: Curds, Peach, Millet

Mika stepped past the oak doors and into the warm atmosphere of the tavern, pulling her hood gently from her head. She looked around the busy tavern, waiters, waitresses, chefs and customers were all about their own business. Mika tapped her shoes free of the wet weather outside and meekly stepped further into the tavern, her eyes seeking a man of great business.

She stopped at the bar, placing a hand on the bench and took another look about the room. She could not find anyone who fit the description she was given. A man, possibly the bar keeper, came to her aid from the other side of the bar counter. “Can I help you?”

Mika brought her attention to the man; she removed her hand to wrap it about her form shyly. “Ah, yes. I’m looking for a messenger? He’s said to be wearing white robes..?”
The bar keeper pointed to the stairs to the right of the bench Mika stood at. “Up the stairs and to your left, the door your looking for will be wide open.”
The Medic nodded her thanks and began to ascend the stairs.

The lights dimmed somewhat as she reached the 2nd floor, as she stepped off the hall of stairs the lights reached her once more. Mika turned left, stepping slowly and hesitantly. As she walked the hall, she saw but one door of the 8 cabins was wide open and spilling an essence of bright lights and sweet scents. Mika took a deep breath and stepped to the frame of the open room, the first thing she saw was a white robed man sitting upon the large bed in far center of the room.

Mika tightened her grip on her arms then released them, straightening and placing on a more confidant air. “Excuse me sir, but are you the messenger of the Mist?”

As the Hyuuga stepped into the tavern, the pungent odour of food being chopped,fried and stewed would ignite his taste buds.His eyes widened, as he sited the food that was being placed on the many tables scattered around the room.Yuichi's mouth began to water as he heard his fellow mist shinobi speak "Ah, yes. I’m looking for a messenger? He’s said to be wearing white robes..?”




Turning his head towards the bar, he would spot the teenage girl that was his fellow team mate for this Mission.Watching as she spoke to the bartender, the Hyuuga scouted the area and realised there was no one either man or woman in white robes.As he headed towards the bar to join in the conversation he realised that his teammate had already made her way up the stairway.With a smile, he would begin to head up the stairs.But a crash in the kitchen made him stop, with a turn of his head, he would see a server girl sprawled over the floor being assisted by a customer.

The Hyuuga's first instinct was to help, but realised enough people were already helping.Watching the clean up, he realised they served lamb stew here. His heart leaped , stomach rumbled and mouth watered as he dashed over to the bar, he would speak to the bartender and request one serving.The bartender nodded, asking which table he was sitting at.Yuichi replied "None as of yet, I'm visiting someone in white robes".

The bartender nodded and spoke "Up the stairs and to your left, the door your looking for will be wide open.” Smiling The bartender spoke a second time "we will alert you when your meal is ready."
Yuichi nodded and headed up the stairs, turning left he would see the door open and his team matestanding there.

“Excuse me sir, but are you the messenger of the Mist?”
Stepping into the doorway and positioning himself next to the other shinobi, he would see a figure in white robes sitting upon a bed.He waited a moment and decided to say nothing,but rather wait until the question was answered.As he had the same question.

Eiji walked into the tavern. It seemed busy as he entered. Eiji staryed from any food or drink prepared by others. A lingering habit of his paranoia. Walking through and weaving around servants cross-crossing the tavern he would make his way to the bar. The bartender would walk over noticing his headband though mostly covered by his wild hair. "Are you a ninja?" He would ask. "Yes" A messenger here earlier asked for any ninja to see him upstairs. " Eiji wouldn't reply but would start to head towards the stairs. "He's upstairs and in the "Noble" room to the left but do you want anything to eat...?"

He ignored the bartender as he asked if he wanted anything. He behan to walk up the stairs at his regular pace not really in a hurry. Reaching the second floor as the door to the left was open. Two other mist ninja stood there with a man dressed in white robes. Eiji would barely let his presence be known as he stood leaning against the doorway. He would cross his arms and turn his attention to the man in white robes.

"I will have meatballs since I am here to see the man in white robes. I am sure he is impatient with our arrival."

Spoke yet another voice from within the shadows. I walked up to the counter and saw two others sit by who had asked the tender about the man in white robes.

"I suppose we should all go together since we are all here for the same thing."

I spoke silently as I looked to the pair of them. One was a Hyuuga and the other looked to be of a normal. But they had already gone up before I could ask and I saw the tender stand nearest the doorway as if to spy.

"That is quite rude you know. I am sure this business does not involve you so you should go back to your duties."

As the four members of Mist would walk into the open room. There they would see a white robed man. His eyes were closed and all they would see was the lines in which made his eyes. He greeted with a large smile, hair dark brown, short, spiked slightly. His hands stayed in front of him holding together loosely showing nothing was in his hands. “Welcome welcome” he chimed brightly while cocking his head to the left. “It is a pleasure to meet you all, members of the Mizu famly of Ninja.” he continued as he gave a respectable bow. “My name is Zetsu Yurihara,” he continued with a kowtow averting his eyes away from the four.

“Since we are here, would you all care for some tea? Or perhaps some other kind of refreshment?” he asked calmly still giving his wide smile, never averting his face from the members of Mist, with his eyes seemingly closed still. “May I say that I am happy, no, proud that I am in the same room with great ninjas. I am sure your Kage has chose correctly to allow you all into this mission.” he said calmly before slowly raising a right hand up to his chin. “Mmmm what am I here what am I here, oh yes” he beamed reaching into his white robe.

The way he was dressed was even though he was wearing a white robe, they could clearly see a male komodo underneath the white robe with shades of dark gray on the bottom, and light gray on top. Slowly he pulled out a small scroll and held it with his right hand. He then began to unroll the scroll as he cocked his head to the other side. “Let us see let us see. Ah here we go” he said having it opened. “The Daiymo of Kiki Island found in Sea Country has a special request. He needs four ninja who are not part of his forces to aid in protecting him. We suspect someone might wish to place harm on our lord.” he continued softly. “Oh by the way what may I call all of you?” he asked before slowly moving the scroll down away from his face. “Oh and if you have questions please ask.” he said with a chime once again.

Movement heard from behind made Mika turn her head slightly, another shinobi of mist was beside her in the doorframe of the cabin. The boy’s pale eyes suggested him to be of the Hyuuga clan, Mika was somewhat fascinated to finally have met one. He had unkempt white hair and wore clothes of a grey scale. The medic took a meek step into the room and leaned up against the wall to allow him room to enter.

As she moved, Mika also noticed a kunoichi standing in the doorway just behind the Hyuuga. She had deep sapphire blue eyes and hair to her shoulders, Mika quite liked the deep blue of her eyes.

Mika now brought her attention to the white-robed man in the center of the room, his eyes closed, his state somewhat calm; he looked to be meditating. Suddenly the man smiled. “Welcome, welcome. It is a pleasure to meet you all, members of the Mizu family of Ninja,” he gave a respectable bow from his sitting position. “My name is Zetsu Yurihara.” Mika smiled as the man offered tea to the room of ninja- Mika politely declining- and made everyone feel at home. He seemed like a nice man.

“May I say that I am happy, no, proud that I am in the same room with great ninjas.” Zetsu continued. “I am sure your Kage has chosen correctly to allow you all into this mission.” Mika frowned gently and looked about the room once again. Most missions required at least 4 party members, Mika could only see 3, including herself.

Zetsu slowly raised his right hand up to his chin. “Mmm what am I here what am I here, oh yes” he beamed and reached into his white robe. Slowly, he pulled out a small scroll and held it with his right hand. Unrolling the scroll, he began to read its contents, ”The Daiymo of Kiki Island found in Sea Country has a special request. He needs four ninja who are not part of his forces to aid in protecting him. We suspect someone might wish to place harm on our lord.”

Zetsu lowered the scroll and addressed the room over the top of it. “Oh by the way, what may I call all of you? Oh, and if you have questions please ask.” Mika straightened slightly, stepping away from the wall. “Ah, my name is Mika Momiji… but you can call me Mika.” she smiled sheepishly. The smile was soon gone and replaced with a serious air. “May I ask, sir, who has targeted Lord Daiymo?”

“Ah, my name is Mika Momiji… but you can call me Mika.”

The Hyuuga stepped in closer as Mika moved, he watched as her brown ponytails waved loosely as she moved. The girl seemed kind and much like himself, but less weird, what was more interesting was the 3 droplets that looked to be tattoos. Also behind himself was the girl with magnificent sapphire eyes, he did not know her but he was sure the team would get along nicely. But there was the fourth member, Mika had seemed not to notice him yet, he wore black and white face paint in an unusual way. He seemed constantly paranoid or on alert, not to mention he was just seemed unusual but not, it was hard to explain.

“Since we are here, would you all care for some tea? Or perhaps some other kind of refreshment?”

As the man known as Zetsu Yurihara spoke, the Hyuuga pulled himself away from his thoughts of his team and spoke “I’ll have some tea.” A grin erupted as he was offered the tea, moving closer; he would politely wait for the refreshment to be served. As he waited, the messenger began to speak again “Mmmm what am I here what am I here, oh yes” Yuichi watched as he pulled a scroll from his robes, as the robes opened you could see male kimono with shades of dark gray on the bottom, and light gray on top. Zetsu spoke once again, explaining the mission was to protect a Daimyo in the land of sea, the Hyuugas eyes widened as this was stated. He realized how important this matter really was, what implications it could have on a whole country and the unity it might bring between sea and water if they succeeded.

“Ah, my name is Mika Momiji… but you can call me Mika. May I ask, sir, who has targeted the daimyo? Smiling the Hyuuga answered after the girl politely stated her name and any questions she wished to ask. "I’m Yuichi Hyuuga, Nice to meet you Zetsu Yurihara. I also wish to know who has targeted the Daimyo?”

As Eiji listened to the reason why they were asked as Mist Ninjas to come here. The others were still unknowing of his presence until another appeared behind him. A female much shorter than him stood questioning his presence. His face didn't chane as he looked down upon her. Eiji tilted his head attempting to intimidate the female.

"I have as much reason to be here as you do." He moved his hair from in front of his headband showing her the mist insignia. Letting go of the lock of hair he turned back to the man in robes. Sighing he would walk into the room fully as he was noticed by now. He would walk between the two other genin. "You may call me Shinano, Eiji."

Eiji would check out the other genin. They were both about the same age but much younger than Eiji. Eiji waited for Zetsu's response to the female's question. Soon the opposing forsce would be known to them.

[Bachitari Onryou]

I watched as the man soon walked inside as if to intimidate me. My animal partner and helper, Kazuma, who was a gray wolf with samurai armor snarled silently as we both walked inside. Stepping between the two shinobi he introduced himself. Kazuma, my partner, soon stepped between him and the man in the white robes which I never got the name of. He growled silently as he stood in a defensive position ready to strike when necessary.

"You probably have heard of me. Seven years ago was the Miruko incident when the academy was destroyed and a family was killed. Only one survivor made it from that incident. That would be me. Kaname Sanako."

I soon remained quiet as I watched the man who had approached and stepped in between the two shinobi. I did not like the feeling I was now getting and I soon mentally prepared myself for a battle. If things were to get gory, this would be it. I wasn't afraid of bloodshed and I would not hesitate from causing it.

The young man nodded with his same awkward pure smile "Greetings Mika Momiji, it is a pleasure." he said calmly and precisely.

Then the man with the white eyes spoke. “I’ll have some tea. Mmmm what am I here what am I here, oh yes” then he heard the woman speak as well before the Hyuuga once more spoke. "I’m Yuichi Hyuuga, Nice to meet you Zetsu Yurihara. I also wish to know who has targeted the Daimyo?”

"You may call me Shinano, Eiji." the other man said as well as the messenger just listened to each of them calmly.

"Interesting," the messenger spoke out before raising his right hand eyeing what seemed to be a watch. "Ah perhaps refreshments should happen another time, we must hurry on before the ship misses us." he said calmly with somewhat of a grim face. "Ah yes your question was who might be targeting my lord. Well, to be honest we have small speculations. We believe a force from the southern continents might wish to harm my master, but we do not know. We however speculate that we are just being paranoid and should not worry, however you are the precautions" he boomed with a smile before placing a hand against his chin thinking for a brief moment. "Oh wait wait, yes, they call him something along the lines of Demon King, but we don't know anything else" he continued.

He would move slightly as his adjusted his kimono slightly, showing a crest along his gound, with the marking in Kanji saying a word "Council." He slowly looked up at them and sighed softly. "I hope nothing is in danger, and hopefully this could be a very pleasent mission for all of you. However please do not think we are not capable of handling things. We have people trying to figure if this is true." he finished waiting for them to speak and ask questions.

As they waited, a waitress would slowly walk in wearing a bright pink kimono as she just smiled like the heavens. "Would anyone wish to have some tea" she asked brightly.

Introductions were over and everyone was now present. Mika noticed a certain hostility between the kunoichi Kaname and the shinobi Eiji, Kaname and her wolf companion in an offensive position towards the ninja. Mika had jumped at the sudden notice of the armored wolf; it was not a creature she saw often about these parts, and the creature looked trained and ready to attack anything at a single command from its owner. But, Mika reasoned, it may come in handy in future events to protect the Daiymo.

Zetsu nodded and welcomed each occupant of the room. "Ah, perhaps refreshments should happen another time, we must hurry on before the ship misses us." he stated calmly with a grim face. Mika blinked. Very uninformed.

They were being shipped out to protect a Daiymo on a mare rumor? And this man barely even knew what he was saying, who was involved, and what the mission was about! Mika thought it wise not to voice her opinion and just go along, in the end, the precaution couldn’t hurt. Besides, it was good experience for the participating ninja.

Mika nodded to the white robed man, showing her understanding and commitment to the task ahead.

Zetsu sighed softly. "I hope nothing is in danger, and hopefully this could be a very pleasant mission for all of you. However please do not think we are not capable of handling things. We have people trying to figure if this is true."

A waitress wearing a bright pink kimono slowly walked in and smiled. "Would anyone wish to have some tea?" she asked brightly. Mika looked at the Hyuuga named Yuichi, remembering his request. She bit her lip, deciding that someone else could explain that no refreshment were required, for their urgent need of departure. Mika hoped they would leave soon, if the Daiymo was in such dire need of protection.

Kaname listened as he spoke of things about threats against his lord and a demon king. Why did that sound so familiar, this demon king? No matter. She folded her arms as she sat down on a nearby chair.

"I am sure if we have to catch a boat as you say, that we should possibly be filled in on the way there so we save time? Other than that when did these threats start and do you have any ideas on the source?"

She began asking questions as Kazuma, her wolf companion, soon sat down beside her with a huff like noise escaping his jaws. He was soon relaxed and would also listen to the conversation as well. Kaname, to pass her boredom under secrecy, soon formed a water sphere and once freezing it, began to pass it back and forth between her hands. Indeed she wanted to get to the action but not without finding out all the information first and once that occurred she would be ready. Kazuma let out a yawn towards the shinobi Eiji figuring he was of no threat to them anymore. Being the protective bastard he was he would still keep an eye on the man to be on the safe side. It was something he was trained to do in the first place as it was anyway.

"No tea. Small amount of Sake please."

Kaname spoke as she paid the waitress her Ryo. She looked much younger than she was for sure. She was only twenty two and others didn't need to know her rank for the moment. Though she was Genin, she was still a strong kunoichi and nothing more. Kaname kept her legs crossed on the chair and leaned on her elbow on her left leg as she awaited for more answers.

"What would be the cause of the threats and from what country do you know? If you want me to aid in this there has to be a legitimate reason. However from what you say, it sounds dire enough. Any reason why he is being threatened anyway?"

Eiji stood between the genin as they listened to the messenger. He mentioned a "Demon King". To be called as such carries an infamous image. Eiji found his way back to the doorway passing the waitress. He would shake his head if she asked if he wanted a refreshment. He would turn and face the group again. He wanted to snap back at the female and her companion.

He was about to formulate a comeback but saw he sit and create a ball of ice in her hands. A note was taken in Eiji's mind. The female either excelled at Ice jutsu [Though at a much lower lever than Eiji] or was of his clan. As thoughts raced in his mind she spoke asking about something. Eiji didn't know because he wasn't really listening. But he knew he could get info from anyone in the group as he tried to focused on the continuing conversation.

The Hyuuga listened as the Nin stepped forward and spoke his name; Yuichi began studying the young man. He seemed older then himself, but not by much. But what was really striking was the face paint; white with Black face paint that covers his eyelids and trails down his face ending at his chin. It was bizarre, he continued to stare at Eiji, and continued to study him even through the snarling and the comments of the blue eyed girl he had spotted earlier. Positioning himself so he could see Eiji’s eyes, he wished to study him further and the eyes were said be the gateway to the soul.

Staring into his small brown eyes, the Hyuuga experienced a weird insomnia of sorts, he lost connection with what was happening. After a moment of studying it yielded nothing, he could get no sense of anything, his teammate was still an enigma and he realized he was now on an awkward angle. That seemed just of the left of Eiji and nearly bumping Mika, he blushed and moved backwards bumping into the armored wolf. He jumped and made a yelping sound, blushing he hung his head and apologized to everyone , including Wolf.

He realized that the conversation, had indeed passed him by and he had missed most of the information, though he knew he could collect from his teammates. Would anyone wish to have some tea?" He turned to see a serving girl, wearing a bright pink kimono, his face lit up and his eyes began to blink out of unison; one then the other. His shirt ruffled as his bugs reacted to the sudden change, he realized by the somber mood this was probably no time to have tea. Turning to the waitress he spoke ” No thankyou, we are fine. Would you please also be so kind to tell the bartender that I won’t be needing the dish I ordered.” Calming himself down he turned towards the man in white robes and smiled then spoke “so when do we leave?”

Viewing each of his newly procured ninja, Zetsu Yurihara would stand, waving the waitress off, as she scurried away to continue working. Zetsu walked to the door, he motioned for the ninja to follow. Once in the doorway he would block the way to announce to them, “Being that it is so late, we will rest here for tonight. The boat will be departing tomorrow very early, so get your rest. We must make haste to the daimyo’s side, and once there I fear we will get little leisure time. Please, I have had them prepare 2 rooms for you.” Gesturing down the hallway he would point to their rooms. “You may decide amongst yourselves who resides where this evening. With that I bid you good night.” With that Zetsu would motion them out of the room so they could go get rest.

The rooms are located down the hall and are next to one another. They would be on the other side of the hall from Zetsus and approximately 10 feet between zetsu’s door and the closer of the 2 rooms. Pick whichever one you like and rp please. As soon as you seem to be finished speaking with each other, or it becomes evident you are done with one another I will then post to continue.

The conversation continued, and Mika couldn’t help but to have giggled as the Hyuuga Yuichi had taken a step back and stepped on the Kunoichi’s wolf companion. At first she was scared the beast might have attacked him for the move, but it didn’t seem to look that way as for they had moved on quickly form the Hyuuga’s embarrassing moment.

Zetsu waved off the waitress, Mika happy she hadn’t said anything, and he motioned 2 rooms for their use. Mika blushed lightly as she turned to the Kunoichi Kaname. “Ah, share a room with me?” Mika knew perfectly well that the rooms were to be male female coordinated, but by asking this question she was inviting a friendship between the only other female ninja within their group, if they were to spend such close time together. She also asked this aloud to clearly state to all that she was not going to share a room with the males.

Mika, hoping Kaname would follow her, moved to the farthest room from Zetsu’s, opened the door and entered the room quietly. She noticed that the room was divided into 2, symmetrical on both sides with a neatly made bed, bedside cabinet and lamp. Then off to the left was the bathroom, big enough for free movement.

Mika smiled and took the bed that lay closest to the right wall, pulling her black bag off her back and onto the soft mattress. She sat on the bed and began to remove her shoes, placing them at the foot of her bed-side cabinet. She turned to Kaname, noticing that where ever she moved, her wolf companion followed. Mika smiled and tried to introduce conversation. “So, ah Kaname. What’s your wolf’s name?”

“Ah, share a room with me?”

As Mika spoke to the other girl of the group, he realized that she obviously was not going to be sharing a room with any of the males in the group. Smiling as she strode off towards the farthest room he turned to Eiji, he stared at the face which had been covered in face paint before speaking. “Umm.. So I guess we are sharing a room.” He did not wait for a reply; it was a statement not a question so there was no need for a reply. Assuming that Eiji had followed or began to move, he motioned out of zetsu’s room. Walking down the hall he approached the room next to the girls and opened the door, the room it self had two beds, a side table for various belongings; next to both beds and a bathroom access on the farthest side. Grinning he walked awkwardly over towards the bed on the right side closest to the bathroom, he would remove his boots and take of his cloak which caused the bugs to scatter and retreat under his clothes ,some escaping into his mouth which he opened quickly preparing for the rush.

Lowering himself, he slid on the bed, facing the ceiling. While placing his arms behind his head, his eyes were absent mindedly looking at the various patterns and shapes that comprised the roof. While he focused on the patterns and shapes, his mind was thinking of the current events ad more importantly his teammates. Especially Eiji, he reminded Yuichi of himself but in a scarier way, not quirky, more dangerous. After a moment of thinking, the Hyuuga would speak not paying attention to whether Eiji had entered or not but he would speak anyway “Ummm we have not been properly introduced yet, I’m Yuichi Hyuuga, and also you aren’t weird..ed out by bugs or anything? Are you?.” After a moment he quickly added out of embarrassment “Did you want to order anything as well? I mean we can just go to bed if you want or something…” he trailed of anxiously awaiting Eiji’s response, if he did decide to respond.
