Name: Doton: Deido Uzumaki no Jutsu (Earth Release: Art of the Mud Whirlpool)
Rank: "C" Rank
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: "C" Rank
Special: "Hand Seals", hold Tiger.
Drawback: The opponent can escape from the technique if they notice it fast enough. Can only suck in a person half way at maximum.
Description: Another binding-type attack used in combination with Deido Nohara, the user will perform the required handseals, holding the Tiger. An area of up to five meters around the opponent will begin to dramatically fold in upon itself, creating a whirlpool of spinning mud with the target being located within the center of the whirl. The technique will attempt to suck the opponent down into the mud and then, when the user ceases to hold the Tiger seal, the mud will harden itself.
Limit: Must know Deido Baindo no Jutsu. Must have Doton

His training into the art of doton continued. Next on his list to learn was Deido Uzumaki no Jutsu. He carried a satchel full of technique scrolls to learn whilst away at the chuunin exams – it was simply one of many. This jutsu would put him one step closer to claiming absolute mastery over doton jutsu, and from their, he’d delve into the more obscure arts. As it was now, this jutsu was nothing more than a stepping stone – a single pebble in a pond full of rocks.
He unrolled the scroll carefully, noting that the cold had rendered the paper somewhat brittle. He read swiftly, reviewing the information on the document as swiftly as his mind could process it. He discovered the processes required to initiate the jutsu – he learned the seals required and the relative chakra level required to do it. He already knew how to contort his chakra and mold it into an entity capable of creating mud. The only thing he didn’t know was how to apply that tactic in alignment with the nature of the jutsu. That was up to him to discover, but it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out the rudimentary equation – he need only direct the flow of a minute amount of chakra to effectuate the change needed. With that in mind, he got to work.
He practiced the handseals first, running through them time after time, not stopping until he could do them without an inkling of effort – no thought required at all. He repeated the seals dozens of times, each time faster than the time before it, and each event nearly perfect in execution, from beginning to end. When he started he’d mumbled the names of the respective animals associated with the twelve zodiac sings, each utterance corresponding to the correct handseal. He began to do them so fast, however, that his speed eclipsed the velocity of neurons firing from his brain to his mouth. He simply couldn’t form the syllables quickly enough to keep up with his hands’ speed.
Eventually the sealing array became second nature, and it came time to apply chakra to the project. Instead of wasting time to test it before finally summoning a test dummy to test it on, he went ahead and conjured a water clone to play the place said test dummy. It stood by with a scowl on its face, watching angrily as Hiromasa flitted through a string of handseals, the jackass not even bothering to say the name of the jutsu.
Hiromasa’s chakra flowed form the base of his soul into the terra firma beneath the clone and manipulated the materials to form a personalized swamp of mud. His success had nearly been insured, but it never hurt to be cautious. As the clone began to sink he mimed swiping him with a sword – he remembered the sword he had waiting back home, and he’d read the scroll… all assholes beware.
