Shiroi arches an eyebrow, staring at the old man as he masticates his rodent with such shameless motions. It's not particularly disturbing, more abstract, if not absurd, to the point of amusing the big genin as he looks 'round the cell.
"They've done this particular test more than once, then?" He inquires, quite interested in the idiom whilst flicking through his memory-banks to think of those he'd met who'd left for prior chuunin exams in the country. The genin can't quite pull any off the top of his head, but is fairly certain that they tended not to be missing fingers, meaning that he's quick enough to decide that /that's/ not the solution unless one has a neat regenerative bloodlimit.
Note to self: Acquite ability to shoot lasers from eyeballs and regenerate limbs as necessary.
"So... I'll take it that you know about the paper tag since your partner there tried to stick his head out of the cell? How did you get yours off?" The genin grins, peering across the room at the old man after taking the time to notice that little detail.
Shiroi wanders back over to Yaku, looking across the cell before crouching beside him in order to take another look at his tag, hushing any protest with a funny look. "So..." He muses, shifting till a reasonable amount of his body is away from the hypothetical blast radius. The genin's even sure to put Yaku's skull between his lower body and the tag. "How much experience do you have with explosive tags?"
He prods it, gingerly with his kunai, shifting the paper-thing around with casual little motions of his weapon before ultimately trying to use the blade to lever it up from the skin. It's done with due care, hopefully kept from slicing his skull into little pieces, but should nonetheless work well towards slowly leveraging up the paper-tag.
