Training in a Land of Green [T/I]

[Kotaro Kaishin]

After walking for what seemed like days, because it was, Kotaro eventually found that he was no longer in the rain of Ame but now in the sun of the Land of Grass, it said so on this sign he was now reading. The sign also told him that he was now at the entrance of Aokusa, the Capital of the Land of Grass. Kotaro was happy, he now had a city to be in and the first thing he wanted to do was eat and bathe. Which he would. The first thing the guy did was find the most expensive looking hotel and check in. After that he ordered room service, took a bath and began to watch pay per view television at his leisure whilst bathing and eating. This took up the next two days of Kotaro's life before he decided he should go outside and get some exercise so he exited the hotel for a while so he could get some training done.

His clothing consisted of a dark purple shirt which on the right side has no sleeve; instead only a strap adorns his arm and on the left his sleeve reaches all the way down to the palm of his hand. The shirt is a button up and is currently left unbuttoned showing his chest and stomach. His pants are long but thin black flexible jeans without any particular pattern or logo and his foot wear consists of regular sneakers. All of which had been thoroughly washed and repaired after his adventure. He was also carrying with him his sword and had his butt bag at his rear which contained ten kunai, ten knives, sixty shuriken and five thermal capsules though he paid them little mind, he was more about the fashion than the weaponry. All if which had been sharpened so that they could still be effective in battle situations, and training.

He didn't know where he could though, he wasn't a local and the most he'd done since coming here was search for a hotel. He decided that in order to figure out a perfect place to train he'd have to make his way to the entrance and begin his search there. Retracing his steps he eventually found his sign, the one he had seen before entering the city, and then began to look for a good place to train before...

Xela Nara. That was the name that was tagged to her profile upon living in the Grass Village. Much to the accord she was one who normally never associated outside the village but she did feel cramped after having had been in all her own training sessions for the past few days. She head learned much and that was retained inside her five (5) foot seven (7) inch body. The height quite normally accompanied by the weight of One hundred ten (110) pounds. Her full length green hair that flowed down to her tail bone was quite a noticeable feature.

Her golden eyes centered her face while under her bangs rested a single hole from her Zassou Clan. If someone cared to look, which most did anyway they could, they would follow to her outfit. The outfit had open shoulders and revealed her belly button while covering her full length arms and back. The only reason to show off her shoulders and belly was the Zassou holes, one for each part (one in each shoulder and one in her belly). She had ungloved hands and there rested three holes in each palm of her hands. To see this would also notice her jacket that did offer some protection from perverted stares though it had her senbon inside of it.

On her back was a katana sheath but unknown to normal eyes was that there was two blades inside the sheath. One loaded through normal means while the other loaded through the other side of the sheath. Her grass village head band acted as the tie off for keeping the sword sheath upright on her person. Looking below her belly would be the battle ready trousers that also had the last of her 57 senbon. Underneath the trousers were black leggings with fishnet extending from her knees to the ankles. With this her bare feet also had Zassou holes of three in each foot.

She had entered the city earlier that day and was about to enter when she saw someone. It was not someone she normally saw and she couldn't tell where this person had come from. She would see him however and to her curiosity she had some interest in speaking with him and possibly seeing whether or not he was a shinobi. Either way she would find out something and from there she would learn something. "Um, Hi there. I am Xela, are you in need of assistance?"

After hearing someone speak to him Kotaro came face to face with a girl with green hair, which was kind of weird yet she somehow managed to pull it off he supposed. That thought then stuck with him. Was she prettier than him? He had to know! He approached her and began to walk around her form slowly, taking in every last detail of her body. He was analyzing her, to decided if she was indeed prettier than him or not. After circling her a full three sixty he'd stop, face to face with her, and speak these simple words. "Nope, you're not prettier than me" he say, relieved that it was so. He was happy that this girl wasn't as pretty as him as in every room, or in this case the entire world, he had to be the prettiest. If he wasn't, he'd be very very sad and forced to kill the other person or at least attempt to. Lucky it wasn't the case.

The subject of the girl wanting to render him assistance then came to mind and Kotaro smiled happily, ignoring the fact that he insulted the girl, kinda, it was true, and explained his situation hoping that the girl was a local. "I'm actually looking for a place where I can train some ninjutsu though I'm new to the area and unsure where I could do so. Would you happen to know where any place would be sufficient?" the teen asked the girl before him before properly introducing himself. "My name is Kotaro Kaishin by the way, and yours is?"

Xela would think back a little. Was it an insult to call himself prettier than herself? Did it have any ethical bystander need or want? Was the information worth anything? When she came to the answer of 'no' she decided to leave it be and not fool with it. After all, she already knew someone who commented on her beauty more than once and that was fine with her.

Now as for when this boy asked her for her name, she had to think. Not think of the name but think as to why this boy didn't hear her properly when she first gave her name to him. So she would play a card of three: the 'diplomatic scare' card. She would manipulate the vines out of her left hand as it would spread the three vines out of her hand that would touch her right shoulder where she bowed, "Even with such beauty I believe your ears are numb to my voice. I said my name is Xela."

Xela herself smiled at this as she stood back up right and retracted her vines back into her body. She would smile and not stop the momentum nor give a direct chance to speak after restating her name. "I actually do know a place for training purposes. A dojo here in town actually that supports the ninja that come through her," She would point down the road in the city itself that was off on a murky passage, "right through there."

Xela was curious of the boy's multiple reactions. That is if there would be multiple reactions. She personally had no record of know where he was from so she would ask, "So where you from? If you are training ninjutsu, then you must either be a ninja of a hidden village or something of the sort."

'Is that really a name?' Kotaro thought to himself before speaking. "My name is Kotaro Kaishin, can you not guess where I come from? The Land of Snow, Yukigakure of course!" the teen teased with a giggle, expecting that everyone should know just who and what the Kaishin Clan was. "Sorry about realising that you already introduced yourself, I suppose I got ahead of myself." Seemed as though he had only just met this girl and had already made a fool of himself, or a jerk anyway. The notion of a dojo also didn't really sit too well with him as he wasn't exactly the type to go to such places, he wasn't really good with hand to hand combat.

"Are there any other places that may accommodate me? Indoors isn't exactly my style" the teen enquired. He much preferred to be outdoors, free, like a bird. In fact that actually got him thinking about something and he couldn't help but begin to form hand seals, pushing his chakra out into the air and causing a dramatic drop in the local temperature. He sucked out all the moisture from the surrounding oxygen and caused it to form water, a lot of water yet the water wouldn't stay water for long as the temperature shift that Kotaro had caused would turn the water into solid ice, very solid ice, though it would hold no nameable shape. "See this is what I'm like" Kotaro would speak to his companion as the ice would quickly change form. The ice would shift into something beautiful, something precious as from from the block of ice Kotaro had created a little head would peak out.

The head would be small, tiny even, yet it would look around it environment before wings of ice would also emerge from the and begin to flutter causing a small swallow to be born and fly about the area with no particular direction or focus. It just fluttered around gently as the sunlight struck its form giving it a transparent gleam. It would not be alone for long however as more soon also sprang to life from the ice that Kotaro had created, their little forms breaking free from the ice as they joined the first in flying in circles around Kotaro's frame. By now their were a number of six gorgeous ice swallows fluttering about in the land scape yet Kotaro wanted more of them, they were just to beautiful for him to only have this many and he expelled more chakra from his body and caused more ice to be created and with it more ice swallows that were quick to also circle around his frame.

With this extra effort there would now be a total of twenty swallows of ice circling Kotaro's form, reflecting the light of the sun in their movements and yet Kotaro wanted a little bit more. I his view there was still a bit of space that could be taken up by some more swallows but could he control so many? He liked his chances of it and so he formed the hand seals for a second time and brought to life more of them. Forming more ice for his dazzling creations to take form from Kotaro watched as slowly as two more small birds came to life yet he thought he could still control more and so he pushed out more chakra, struggling a little bit with the action yet managing to do so. In the end an additional three birds sprang to life and now Kotaro had a flock of twenty-five circling him.

"So pretty..." Kotaro would coo at his creations. He thought that behind him, they were the most beautiful things in the world. "How about you, do you think they're pretty as well?" Kotaro would ask of his companion as the birds would continue to fly around the area.

Xela would witness the sight of the birds. She didn't have anything against ice techniques but she certainly didn't know that last name. While having done so she had done her own hand seals for the activation of a neat jutsu of hers. She however would already begin funneling her right foot's vines to spread in a network pattern around the two of them. She will have done her hand signs after this to use the Chakra Kyuuban no Jutsu.

The "chakra sucking vines" jutsu was one she learned earlier in the month and it was one that stuck with her. She smiled as her hands were free now, but she kept them to her side perfectly and melodically. She would only stare at her hopefully new friend. She had been asked a question during this time as she slowly drained away chakra by her vines. Answering in a nice melodic fashion, "Ice isn't something I take fancy to. But I've got nothing against ninjutsu."

'So, she is an ice user. That means she has water and wind releases as well, but does she have anything of those trained? And the emphasis on his last name must mean it is either a well known clan or kekkei genkei from that region, I have never heard of it though,' She would think to herself as she drained chakra in the forty meter radius around herself. The suction wasn't all too powerful so long as the vines were not wrapped around something.

Xela's eyes shifted to the dojo that she had pointed out and went back to the boy, "The dojo there is an open roof, abandoned barn area. That is why I said it was good for training ninjutsu. However, anywhere is good for training non-lethal skills." Whether Xela could call the vines that she had manipulated under ground and were sucking away chakra non-lethal was unknown but she was able to only target this Kaishin person's chakra for now.

Xela would now manipulate her right shoulder's vine to reach a single swallow, "If you don't mind, may one perch on my vine?" She had asked with a delicate smile and composure while also holding in any amount of knowledge that she was actually the one to drain the chakra. What she had done was a simple method of doing hand seals and the only known effect was that the vine in her right shoulder had slowly emerged. It was a wrongful tactic but a necessary one in most accounts.

Kotaro was enamored with his ice creations, watching them with glee. He loved ice, it was in his soul, his blood, and he loved just how skillful he was crafting the element, his creations were gorgeous, spectacular. There was no one better. His hands moved into another flurry of hand seals as he crafted even more birds. Kotaro was like a sculptor, sculpting a stone creation of pure artistic talents. He began to shape birds from ice he'd form from the atmosphere, paying special attention to their lning. Each bird would have the lining of pure softness, their bodies would be smooth. They'd be the best looking birds around, even better than the real birds that on occasion Kotaro had to admit looked ugly. The small birds took their form and began to fly around along side the other as Kotaro had a full flock of thirty birds circling him, he was in love with them. To think that he could make something of such beauty, made him think of just what his kids would look like in the future. He'd be a great mom.

His new friend then asked for one of his birds to perch upon the vines protruding from her body, something that Kotaro believed made her gross and disgusting yet kept to himself. "Sure" he consented, not knowing just what was going to happen to his little pride and joy. As the bird swept down from the flock Kotaro's eyes bulged as the chakra was sucked from it and the small swallow began to fall from it's perch, crashing into the ground and shattering into pieces. Kotaro was stunned. He had spent such great effort and held such great pride in his small creation, with it dead now he felt very sad. He remembered how the bird first took shape as his chakra infected the ice that it was shaped from and the small avian creature peeked out its head like a precious baby. Kotaro had paid this particular bird special mind, slowly taking his time with it and crafting its form with the aptitude of a great expert, a master craftsman, yet now his creation was dead on the ground. Kotaro was sad.

With the birds sacrifice however Kotaro gained some special information about just who and what he was dealing with now, his companion was a leach. It was the logical explination of just what was happening. The birds life was sucked from it, the birds life was chakra, she sucked up chakra like a whore in a back alley doing her thing. Kotaro could feel the slight drain on his powers. He tried to hide it however and instead had all of his bird perch upon the leach sucking vines, controlling the large flock, which really wasn't as easy as one would think, to sit upon the flora sprouting from Xela and inadvertently have all of their life force sucked away from them if she'd keep up the drain, or so one would think. In fact before that could happen Kotaro would cause the birds to shatter on his own as he'd cancel the jutsu, simultaneously ending the short lives of all the snow swallows. "That's no fun, you've killed my precious babies..." Kotaro would swoon, his head dipping slightly in depression.

His expression would soon quickly shift however. "No matter, they're easy to replace" the boy would exclaim as his chakra would light up, the drain of Xela doing little to hinder him at the moment, and the ice shards that were the previous Snow Swallows not to mention the new ice that Kotaro would create would begin to shift and bind together as Kotaro's abilities would cause them to build up into designs of of new, more beautiful, birds of ice which would swell in their numbers and begin to float around Kotaro form, rotating clockwise until they were told to do otherwise. Taking a few moment Kotaro took the time to count them and noticed that there were now twenty eight birds of ice flocking around his form. "Ah, isn't this great!" the teen exclaimed before shattering the jutsu, tiny shards of ice falling to the ground around him, the light hitting them in a way that caused the area around Kotaro to sparkle as if the gods themselves were blessing him, telling him and everyone that laid eyes upon him that he was a gift, a gift to the world of beauty.

Kotaro wanted more, her wanted to control more birds. He wanted to round it off completely at the thirty mark and he once again formed the techniques hand signs. He pushed his chakra out into the slowly falling shards of Ice once more and began crafting more birds. He found it difficult to focus on creating so many things at once, it was as if his mind was being overloaded however he pressed on and continued to attempt doing so. He tried to very carefully ensure that each and every bird was perfect, his mind quickly went over the smoothness of their curves, their lining had to be great. It had to be perfect. Soon the shards and ice that Kotaro could muster came together as one and Kotaro's birds soon took flight, flocking around the teen in a clockwise direction but for some reason Kotaro's mind was still not allowed to rest. His concentration was being split to much from the birds he created, his control over them was slipping.

The birds flight pattern was beginning to go haywire, Kotaro was having trouble keeping them in line. Were there just too many of them? If he lost some of them it would be easier. 'No!' the teen screamed to himself in thought. 'I can do this!' he proceeded to inwardly cry. He didn't want to lose the number of birds he had created, they were so pretty. He focused with all his power and began to wrangle in the stay birds, having them flock along with the rest of his pretty's. With that done he felt a bit more comfortable yet there was still some work left to do, this jutsu could still have untapped potential and he was going to unlock it.

Xela smiled as the tiny bird's life was extinguished. It only meant that there was more chakra for her to use. And by the result of this she suspected that the boy was beginning to understand what this vine did. Especially when he perched all of the bird swallows from before onto the vine as it would drain all the chakra. Xela's vine however could move with ease and dramatic effect. There would be no one greater at it then she was soon enough.

Xela of course would keep the vines from her foot extended to focus on the opposition. She would now extend all of her left foot's vines outward and emerge it to drain. For it to cover the whole area in front of her where the boy was. She would control complete domination of 75 meters from her. Such a distance that allowed her to keep complete and utter control of it all. She would smile and now see more of the birds being created, some not in complete formation.

Xela's mind would shift. Sure she was slowly draining away the boy's chakra but she did have some nice ways to drain other chakra. She would use her right hand's three vines to spread out and wrap around three immediate trees. They were far from being dead in this summer weather as they kept their leaves green, even in the battering restraint of the snow and ice. Xela's vines would wrap from base to the upper top of them as chakra was being drain completely from the tree.

The vines were not constricting however the tree merely was wrapped up by them. From there the vines would circle and where they drained chakra the tree's bark color changed. Changing from complete brown to an ashy white. Xela appreciated the vines to their ability and once those three trees were completely drained she moved to another three. By this time the grass and flowers from beneath Xela would already be dead.

Xela refocused as she knelt down and formed hand seals. By doing so she would retract her vines back into her body as she would walk towards the snow swallow formation. She smiled as she felt her vines wrapping and dancing in and out of her body. With every step she took another piece of the armor progressed. Another piece functioned, and soon her whole body was covered in the vines of armor.

Xela's feet vines had wrapped up and around her calves, feet, and lower thighs. Her shoulder vines made caliprits, other wise known as shoulder pads, to cover and form a spiked nature that surrounded them. Her hand vines shot out and wrapped around her fingers, wrists, and all the way up to the mid bicep. She had two more spots for armor that gladly took shape from inside to outside.

Her gut's vine would swirl and twirl around as it would be twisting and tying a breast plate of armor over her front as it would wrap in with her shoulder vines. The shoulder vines that wrapped in with the gut vine would also spread around her back to cover that as well. Her forehead vine would wrap around and form a Celtic helmet around her face. Flat enough to where it didn't hinder her vision but kept all it's strength.

After Xela had the hang of her hand hole vines and their mobility she would try for some other part of her. Like before the would scan over a scroll to figure out the anatomy of her body and realize there were holes she could use from her shoulder's two holes as additional supplementation. She would look over the scroll with a delicate smile as she would lick her lips gently. She would like this portion as well, as she would then twirl her fingers and feel her shoulder holes with her finger tips pulling at the skin. She would pop her shoulders with a thrust of her arms forward.

As she did this she would be picturing in her mind the joints of her shoulder tensing to a tease as they would then force open the slots as the vines inside of them would soon awaken and grow out of the holes from their past rest as she would gladly enjoy the imagery in her mind's wake. She could relate to the vines that resided in her from the apparent distance they would show if one would find the need to look at them and be shocked by them. Good for her she wore her head band around her neck but her long hair kept the forehead holes from being seen and issued against her.

Xela would continue this imagery in her mind until she grew tired of mentally seeing it as it would then come to the time of her performing it. She would funnel her chakra through the system and try to bring to life the single vine that resided inside her left shoulder blade's hole for use. She would continue on this as she would eventually feel the single vine creeping out like a turtle coming out of its own shell to investigate. She hardly knew what to do until the vine did like her hand vines did. It slumped over and she would taste the bitter tension she had in her mouth for this.

Her hands would move upward in a slow release of her air as she would breath in and out as though she were in a yoga classroom and as she breathed in her body tensed and as she had breathed out the vine would lengthen and grow in distance fore ward until she breathed back in. As breathing in the vine itself would come back inside of her as well. She would do this periodically and train the vine to react to her breathing as the vine would slowly exert itself out of her and then cower back inside with the noticeable need to return to her warm body heat.

With a light release of shoulder popping again she would stand with the vine coming out completely from her body. She would feel it ring around and feel the twenty meter length extension completely go the full length towards the glass of the greenhouse's walls as it slid and smeared. With a smile she had learned the left arm's shoulder blade vine came in handy when she would need it most and best. She would delicately return it inside of her body as she would then figure out ways to continue the chores at hand that she knew all to well that she could do with this vine.

Xela grew bored and tried to find a chore, a real easy chore, to do with her vines as she would then send her left vine to grab a broom and her right vine to grab a dust pan. The two would then work together as she funneled the chakra to then have the vines motion into the needed state of cleaning. All of this was done with the ease of her shoulder vines as they cleaned up dirt, mud, dust, and fallen petals as they would twirl around the different tables to clean just about every bit of the green house that desperately needed the cleaning crew to work on it alone. So she cleaned. She did not have much else to do but clean as her vines she had funneled the chakra through would be the ones to perform the duty of cleaning up the home with their vines and individual jobs as the broom and dust pan would soon be put away with the floors well cleaner than before.

Now she would have the vines do some dusting. With this she would perform the hand seals for the seed growth jutsu along with the genesis jutsu for a single cat tail plant to form and as her finger and shoulder vines were allowed to break it apart she would tend to gather the vat tails to make a single dust cloth. The single dusting cloth she would use would be to dust off the much shadier plants that laid in the corner of her eyes and she would feel the vines wrap and wrap and soon the entire facility would be dusted fully of any form of dust possible inside the secluded green house as she thought.

She would think up another way for her vines to train while calling her finger vines to return inside of her delicate body she would then have the vines maneuver to grab a mopping dish and a mop while she would create water out of the thin air to fill the container with some more water. With that being made and done Xela would use her shoulder vines to make the water fully usable and as doing this she would then have her vines wring the mop into the water, allowing it to soak up the water, and then with a pull and push the mop would land on the floor.

Her vines would begin to mop up the floor that the broom's cleaning had missed and with the help of Xela the three of them, two vines and herself, would enjoy themselves to the cleaning as the entire building would endure the wrath of the cleaning she would push upon it to yearn and crave. With the mop, broom, and duster having been used she would then call her vines back into her shoulders to where she would then walk around the entire building to where she would listen to the waves of the ground and with them she would hear the wind bellowing through the air.

Xela had her vines, as the would swirl around her now, and she would not do anything to give up the power to control the things that could very well help her use a jutsu while also using the vines to distract an opponent just as well. For her the two would work hand in hand with ease. While outside the building Xela would train with her shoulder blades again but this time in an attack mode against her own clones. She would perform the hand seals to cause three clones to form in positions all around her from the water sources found on the ground, be it puddles and fountains.

She would then await the clones to attack with whatever they had that needed to attack her with. One on the left would begin to form the hand seals for mist to form which Xela could not allow her vision to go bad since she personally needed the time to sense the area around her with her eyes and ears. Xela would fling a single vine at the perpetrator to which she would then dodge to the front as a sword came circling around her to slice the spot to which she once was at. She would continue this training for more as she would see the first water clone falling down and apart into water.

She would face the remaining two with crazed analytically eyes as she would then use her left vine to launch out to the side as she would then focus the momentary proponent of her body as she would focus carefully on her opponents as they soon would try their advance on her with swords. Xela would focus avidly onto her opponents as she would keep her two vines at an edge while the first of the two charged. The charge did not last long until she had noticed the incoming sword and with the she would jump upward as her left shoulder blade vine would lob into the attacker.

With the attack she performed the vine had hit into the edge of the face of the opponent as she would perform a jaw breaking kick to her jaw as the attack forced the clone to depart the forms of water. The third and last clone didn't miss a beat however as it would charge at her and slice the air in front of her. The only thing that kept the blade from dooming her life was that she would have the single right vine stabbing through the body of the clone's heart. The clone burst apart and she would smile lightly as she had easily noted the jutsu itself was made for a good cause if put to the right usage.

When first learned, the user can explode up to 1/4 of the swallows at once. This technique can be relearned as a C Rank to increase the number of swallows to 1/2, then all of them.

The girl would begin to train her vine techniques, drain Kotaro's chakra and then creating clones to train along side her, attacking her really with techniques that she would have to have exceptional control with her vines to dodge yet Kotaro began to think of a different technique he could use with his snow swallows. He began to form hand signs and he recalled what he had seen his mother do way back when Kotaro had seen her perform the snow swallow technique, this second technique being why he remembered it to vividly. She formed a second set of hand signs and injected her chakra out into the land scape around her, Kotaro could remember even feeling the woman's chakra wash over him like a tidal wave with its incredible power. The storm swallows then all exploded around her, the explosion combining with itself to create one massive wave of absolute power. It was an incredible sight to see and it was etched into Kotaro mind like a carving upon wood.

He would think about the day regularly and so remembering the hand signs was a breeze however, despite the fact he was enamored with the technique this would be the first time he would be trying it. He began to form the hand signs, building up his chakra to high levels, and then pushed it out around him, into the birds that flocked around his form, and said the word, "Katsu", after he infused the birds of ice with his chakra and paused on the hand sign. Something didn't go right however as his words did nothing to help get the birds to explode, instead they just kept flying around his head as if nothing was wrong or nothing was meant to have happened. Kotaro's attempts did nothing. He then decided that he should switch up his method of training by focusing on a single bird and channeling his chakra into it though it would have to be a progressive process as his mother exploded all sixty of her at once. He only had half of that yet he was still having trouble.

His mother probably had no problem with this technique, learning it in a few seconds. He would have to work for it though. He formed the techniques hand signs and focused on one single bird of ice, pushing all of his chakra into it's form. He pushed as much as he could into the bird and spoke the word, "Katsu", in an attempt to blow it up yet once again as if by magic or a magician saying, "no", the bird didn't blow. It kept flying around happily, enjoying its last moments of life. Kotaro didn't like just how happy the bird was, flying around like it was alive and after giving it the evil eye and began to form hand signs again and pushed his chakra out from his body, into the air around him, and into the small bird of ice in another attempt at blowing it up yet once again, after saying "Katsu", and holding the hand sign. It just flew around in circles over Kotaro's head as the teen for a third time was so pissed off that he just wanted to run over and punch the swallow right in its beak.

He held his tongue however as the teen began to form the hand signs once more, taking his time whilst injecting the tiny bird of ice with more and more chakra, loading the ice construct with as much chakra as he could muster, focusing more and more chakra into the tiny thing unti the bird was pretty much gonna blow up just from being so loaded with energy like a fat woman who ate to much pizza. He then spoke the magic words that were supposed to blow up the bird like a Christmas dinner yet the bird just still flew along, like a boss, as if the insane amount of chakra flowing through its form wasn't even there. Giving up on the bird Kotaro let it crash head first into a tree and began to focus on it, pouring more and more chakra into the second bird to see if it was just that one bird that wouldn't blow or if it was his own problem. he formed another set of hand signs and poured his chakra into the birds saying the magic words, "Katsu", and tried to blow the bird up yet as if to insult him the birds flew around proud as a peacock. Kotaro had this bird crash into a tree as well. he found it conceited.

OOC: It's fine. I'd been without my muse for a few days anyways. Plus the great thing about training in threads with partners is the flashbacks. Flashbacks don't affect anything between anyone but do add to your TP count and that is a lesson I learned a while back from my brother. Anyways, glad to have seen you post and I look forward to seeing that technique in action. ^^

Xela moved around in the armor she had made out of her own vines. It wasn't anything too special of course, but it was of her own art piece and vine. She noted the young boy's jutsu coming along rather well and she couldn't help it that she was proud of him and his learning ethic. She continued the walk with her armored body as she stood by a tree to rest. She wasn't used to vine armor and that was annoying her.

Xela's mind wondered as she then heard a crash, "What the hell!" She would look around and see a small ice swallow crashing into a tree. She would see a second one fly into a tree as well. Xela did drain chakra but if this was her doing then the bird's control wouldn't have worked so it wasn't her fault. She undid her armor with a smile as the vines wrapped and unwrapped around her body.

Xela focused and then as the vines came undone she felt at ease. First her legs would loosen and the vines unraveled with spiral motion. She would crouch a lot just to move the legs around and loosen up their fluids in her knees. She did this multiple times so that the armor on her legs were gone and her knees worked again. She would then pop each of them with a standard round-house kick.

The sickening sound of the pop was very loud as she began with her arms now. Unraveling her elbows of both first and foremost. Continuing their bending and structure as if the elbows were frozen and becoming thawed. She continued this as the vines crept their was back to her hands immediately. She would then pop each hand and smile at those popping sounds of popcorn and turnip.

Her forehead was next for the issue of training. The forehead's vine began to suck in its own vines as it drew all of the single vine back inside her head. The swirling up from the jaw bone to the frontal lobe. It felt relaxingly good as she felt her face was free again. The entirety of the face was now free by the time she began running up trees again. She would smile as she did this with a hint of glee in her face.

Glaring that the birds were not blowing up like he wanted them to Kotaro reformed the techniques hand signs in anger and pushed his chakra out around him violently and each individual seal was formed and he focused it all onto a single random bird that he caught sight of, pushing every bit of chakra he build up and expelled into the small thing. He didn’t know if it was the fact that because he was really angry the techniques outcome was different or if it was because of something else, perhaps a level up in mastery of the technique that something changed but Kotaro bore witness to something other than what he was expecting. The bird still didn’t explode like it was supposed to yet it didn’t exactly stay together as for some random reason it just sort of crumbed away as if it were sand falling through fingers. It was the weirdest thing and Kotaro had absolutely no idea why on earth it happened, it just did for some unexplained reason, it just crumbled to tiny fragments of ice.

To figure out if it was just because he was angry or if there was actually a reason for it Kotaro formed the techniques hand seals once again, pumping out focused chakra with each and every seal, concentrating intently on another bird of ice and on what he was doing so he could figure out what happened and why. He pushed out his chakra into the area around him and began to push it all into a single ice swallow as all the others just flew around aimlessly around it. Kotaro waited to see just what would happen and then, it did! The bird fell from the sky, shattering to tiny particles of ice that it sand would be larger, and the fragments fell to the earth, sparkling like glitter as they did so. Kotaro was really stumped. He was meant to be getting them to explode yet this jutsu seemed to have the useless effect of causing his creations to crumble. Well it was rather pretty yet still it was rather worthless a jutsu that would have little to no use in a battle, Kotaro was clever with his creations.

Through his confusion he just had to attempt the jutsu once more before he could say that he was satisfied knowing that he was doing something wrong, he may not being doing anything wrong, it may just be a step he had to take to master the jutsu, so he formed the techniques hand signs slower than he had done with the two previous attempts and really tried to figure out what was going on. He pushed out his chakra around him again, this time adding just a little bit more to see what would happen and began to focus it into another ice swallow and watched what happened. What Kotaro saw next was another shocking surprise as in the motion of the bird crumbling there was something else. The bird instead of crumbling like the others sort of poofed, as if it got a little bigger yet to the untrained eye this would mean nothing but to Kotaro, it meant everything. It was the beginnings of an explosion. Kotaro was now beginning to understand just what was happening within his jutsu and he felt as though he could really get the hang of this jutsu if just given the time.
