Arekkusu's mind ran over the weapons on his possession one more time. He couldn't forget the mask he wore that he switched the views of three times as he entered, between the condition, substance and Zoom functions to inspect the barren area.

"Some sort of stadium?" Something reminded him of the monster pit in an old science fiction movie he saw. But why the delicious looking refreshments? Reddo's left hand brushed nervously against the daisho pair on his left hip, and the pommel of his tanto lightly rubbed his back from it's position in it's utility belt, the hiraishin seals on all three of them, and the throwing axes in his sextuple knife holster sending a sort of tiny vibration of chakra to remind him they were still there.

The exploding throwing axes were safe in their compartment, as were the 60 hirai shuriken, the eight 3 weight boleadoras, 76 exploding tags and 15 exploding pouches. He felt just as safe as he did unsafe with all of his ordinance, especially while behind his metal mesh, and tactical vest knife holster combo. The battle dress uniform did not much else other than conceal his elbow and knee pads and keep him free from cuts and scrapes.

Reddo flexed his combat gloves, and lightly touched his mas as he gazed around the stadium, making sure the gas mask portion of his mask was not activated. He also wondered what radio frequency his team would be on..if they were even going to have a frequency.

Surrounded by trees...That's a lot of shadows and hiding places. Ace could probably take advantage of the free wood, if he still had his wood abilities...Reddo on the other hand, felt like he would be at a disadvantage here.

Seriously tough, what's with the refreshments? Little snacks for the chuunins? That seemed odd...generous though, Reddo would have gladly helped himself if he had felt like taking his mask off.

An announcement was made, telling each ninja to follow the guards to their respective village area, so naturally, Rin complied. Slowly she made her way outside the capital of the land of sea, trailing the guard that was leading the way to the place where she would have a chance to talk to the others, and maybe discuss strategy or tactics with them. What was really bugging her though, was that she had no idea what to expect from the test itself, not to mention the various skills and talents of the ninja that were from other nations. Sure their village names made some of their skills blatantly obvious but what else did they have up their sleeves? Eventually Rin was led to a large dirt clearing, surrounded by large trees, their leaves motley hues of different greens. Trees like this never grew in Yukikagure, and Rin made sure to take notice of all it's beauty, and at this point, it's possible danger. It was then that she noticed the large gates that concealed a very large area behind them. Most likely that was gonna be the place where the magic happened, and genin were wither killed or elevated themselves to the rank of chunnin. Lastly Rin noticed the table full of refreshments and the loudspeaker that was attached to a long pole. And, standing next to the table, wearing a full battle dress that Rin had seen before was Red. He was near the refreshment table eyeing the various snacks and water as if he wanted some, but couldn't make up his mind as to whether he should indulge himself or not. Rin walked over to him, taking stock of her weaponry and equipment as she did. Her katana was sheathed down the small of her back, allowing for her to draw it quickly over her should should the opportunity arise. Her hand quickly fluttered through her butt bag, taking a quick count of the items stocked within it. 144 senbon, 5 kunai, 25 zipties, 75 ice tags, 76 exploding tags, 80 locking tags and a world map. The count was brief, since she already knew what it was that she left her village with, but it never hurt to double check. Next she ran through her utility belt finding one smoke and one spiked grenade, 6 blood clotting pills, 1 lock picking kit, 1 mini gas mask, and her trusty advanced MPG. Underneath her form fitting black outfit was a layer of Kanaami mesh, her hands were covered with tactical gloves that had a layer of cold steel over her knuckles. Lastly, she had a communication device but was unsure if she would even get the chance to use it. The hood of her outfit hung low over her face, but even with it firmly in place she could still feel the light breeze over her brow and running through her hair. "Reddo?" She called to him when she got close enough. "Reddo-shi, is that you?" She asked, a warm smile emerging from the shadows of her hood as she already knew the answer to that question. Then the loudspeaker whined in shrill tones before an older man's voice erupted from it. "Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3, hello, testing."

Entering the area Ace quickly checked over all of his equipment. The card holsters 1 strapped upon each wrist the 2 was checked. Then the last 3 strapped upon the right side of his belt was checked as well. Each of these 5 card holster contained 4 decks consisting of 55 cards per deck. Afterward the chivalrous gambler's left gloved hand swiftly reached into his buttbag. Gently gloved fingertips brushed against the 80 ice exploding tags lingering within. The knave of Hearts briefly reached into his left ear adjusting the small advance communication devise getting it to the correct channel for the team. "alright everyone the reserved channel where we shall communicate is 3"[/b] he mentioned to his Yukigakure shinobi. His eyes noticed the drinks one of his light eyebrows raising his mind suspicious of these offerings.

When that was informed to his teammates the Knave of Hearts gently took off the crimson silk cloth around his left knee. Ace gently placed it against his head as it rested upon his palm. He thought about his progress so far soon it was the time for his destiny to be reveled. All of the training and bounds created and treasured throughout the years. "old sensei, Reddo, Onyx, the art of red leg thank you" he silently said to himself as he took some time to reflect while the crimson cloth glistened gracefully in his palm. "everyone gather here"[/b] he called forth his brave souls.

Once they came forth Ace gently took out a single card from his holster before lifting his arm upward towards the heavens. "on this day our destinies shall be witnessed by the glorious heavens lift up your faithful symbol and weapon"[/b] his voice radiating with confidence as his card reached towards the sky as the Yukigakure village symbol glistened upon his left hand. When everyone lifted up their headband and loyal weapon his speech continued. "we as the swords and shields of the Snow Mother stand here valiantly not shackled by wretched fear or personal doubt"[/b] the Knave of Hearts said his voice brewing with encouragement. "even if death embraces us we shall smile knowing that our bravery made all who witnessed carry on our ideals and beliefs"[/b] the chivalrous gambler said getting near the end of his speech. "I Ace Debutler Onta shall live as a Yukigakure shinobi and shall die as one this is what i brand upon my soul"[/b] he said stating a oath finishing his speech. Ace light blue eyes looked at the others waiting for them to make the same oath.

When that was over he gently slipped the card back into his left holster. The chivalrous gambler carefully tied the crimson silk cloth around his left knee. Ace wondered what was behind those gates and what dangers awaited for them while he listened to the person speaking in the loudspeaker.

Soon after registering for the competition Ryū and the other ninjas were led away to separate locations, the four snow ninjas being escorted by armed guards to a small arena. This was most likely the base of operations for the snow team. Ryū had noticed the additional member to the team, the flying girl from snow. Last time they had faced each other she had proved to be almost useless. So he wouldn’t have much confidence in her abilities, however an ally was an ally never the less.

The prince hadn’t even had time to explore the surrounding areas of the city never mind acquire additional equipment so he had the same, items that he had took with him to the registration desk. Ryū looked over the area taking in everything that was there, such as the large gate like structure and the table in the middle of the arena. Refreshments how interesting, the prince had no desire at all to have a drink but these items could be useful in the near future. So the prince would walk over to the table and take one fourth of the items, and add them to his cloak for later use. (three energy bars, a bottle of water and an apple.) On further inspection of the energy bars(Looking at the content label) the prince was able to deduce that these bars had the same effect as solider pills.

The prince as always had come tooled up to the best of his abilities although his tagged charcoal Cloak would most likely obscure the majority of his equipment. Beneath he wore a small butt bag that was attached securely to the right side of his waist inside the bag was divided up into several sections each holding a different tool. Inside was two small canisters each only ten centimetre in length, they were coloured a matt black, meaning they wouldn’t reflect any light when used, both canisters were designed so when activated they would release a thick black smoke, that would reduce visibility to zero and make it difficult to breath induce a coughing fit for anyone caught within the smoke.

There was also six kunai, fifteen senbon and sixty four pronged shuriken each of these weapons would share the same matt black colour as the grenades, all of these weapons where designed to take life so would be very sharp. Four of the kunai would be equipped with tags half were standard exploding tags and the other half were a specialised version which produced ice. There was also some spare tags in the bag which hadn’t been attached to anything, two of these were standard exploding tags with the remaining amount being ice. At the bottom of the bag was some medical supplies, two heavy duty syringe needles, and one syringe there was also two glass fifty millimetre vials of blood stored inside airtight contains at the bottom of the bag, each with a steel top and writing on the surface that denoted which vial was which. On top of all of these items were Orochi and Illidan.

It was at this moment that the prince would strip off, removing his: cloak, white t-shirt and black dress pants. He would fold them neatly into a pile, and open up his rucksack. From this bag he would remove two items of his battle dress uniform, his trousers and jacket. Both items were highly customised and made into a one piece ghillie suit. The prince would proceed to get changed into this item of clothing, which would allow for camouflage in a forest or jungle area. His weapons along with all of the equipment he was currently wearing had been aired out, and scent control wipes had been used on the weaponry to remove any human odour, as well as being washed correctly when applicable. So with that the prince would remove a small tube, and proceed to add the scent of a deer to all of his clothing using a liberal amount, so that the scent would be accurate and not to overpowering in essence he would smell exactly like a deer.

These weren’t the only concealed items however, the prince also had two kunai attached to his BDU trousers at the outward sides of his quadriceps, and a set of pads on each of his knees to reduce damage inflicted to this area. Ryū’s whole battle dress uniform was covered in a forest camouflage pattern, designed to disrupt an outline by merging it with its surroundings, making a target harder to identify and for concealment from night vision device this would also be replicated on his armour. The BDU jacket would also have padding at the elbows, and contain two kunai one on either bicep. Beneath this layer was a finely woven layer of protective mesh designed to lessen the damage from slashing attacks. And he wore his most important item his Shinobi's Cup.

The prince already had his Sharingan active so that he could observe the movements of everyone in the area to the greatest degree. Although this two would be hidden from the other people, as below his helmet he wore a set of goggles, which were tinted in a shade of black Iridium making it extremely unlikely that someone would be able to see his eyes, although he would have no trouble with seeing them as they in no way hampered his vision. The goggles also possessed the ability to show both X-ray and thermal vision at the touch of a button. This wasn’t the only thing he wore under his mask he was also equip with a gas mask although this would be shielded by his helmet so it would be impossible for a regular person to be able to notice this. His hair swept up and out of the way of his face.

To any on looks the only clearly visible thing would be the three foot gourd across his back which was covered in warning signs and labels that claimed it was alcohol, although these signs would only be visible if the enemy could see through the camoflaugh which covered it, as it was now covered with the same lay as the ghillie suit. Although in reality it was full of sand, besides this on the right shoulder of the prince was a large katana, the blade spanning a distance of seventy three centimetres. The prince also wore a pair of gauntlets and greaves, that shared the camouflage effect previously mentioned, the gauntlets had four thin blades each two inches long and located on the outer side which aligned with his elbows. Each blade was razor sharp and able to slice through skin with little effort an effect that was repeated on the greaves he wore each of the two inch spikes would share this trait. Ryū also wore a pair of black handwraps beneath his gauntlets, to lessen the risk of damaging his hands in close quarters combat. However the prince wasn't the only member of his team who was armed, Bradley also carried a two foot gourd on his back, and was equip with a set of gauntlets which were identical to his masters, and a pressurised glove on his left hand.

Presumably the gate would open and allow the ninjas to advance to the next area, however Ryū didn’t intend to leave himself open to attack after all the enemies could well be the ‘guards’ in this area. So the prince motioned to his snake with the flicker of his finger, causing the large animal to tunnel under the earthen floor. The beast would be hidden from the view of an enemy ninja’s so they wouldn’t be able to detect where it was traveling to as it left no visible sign of movement, unbeknown to them it would head towards Ace and the group of snow ninja’s the perfect position to launch a counter attack as the heat produced from the group would mask the snake to any thermal imaging tools.

So the prince would remain twenty meters from the group of snow ninjas, he didn’t care much for the seemingly endless amount of shit that Ace was talking. His priority was keeping the ninjas in his team safe and more importantly himself. So the prince just stood there with his hands concealed underneath his cloak, red eyes searching the area for an threats.

Drawback: Puts a strain on the user’s muscles. The maximum amount of time this technique may be used for continuously is three posts. Once the time is up the user must wait for 1 round before using again. Cannot be used on rock, or anything as hard or harder than rock.
Description: The animal companion builds upon their own innate ability, and expands it into a full scale battle technique. This allows the user to move through soft substances by simply digging and pushing the ground out of their way. If the ground is too hard however, the user will be unable to dig through it.
Limit: Animal companion with innate ability to produce tunnels.

(Sorry for the late reply. I wanted everyone to get along and communicate with one another and try to Start a little roleplay if you hadn't started as a team. Now that people have gotten their formalities taken care of we can move onto the needy gritty.)

"Test test," the voice over the loud speaker spoke again. "Is this thing on?" the old raspy voice continued. "Ah, good, greetings ninjas of various Villages. It is a pleasure. My name is honestly not important but what I have to say is. Look to your left, and to your right, the people that came with you are part of your team. Ain't that grand? I hope all villages sent more than 1 person or else this could honestly be a little...troublesome" he spoke in a calculating form. "This Chuunin Exams will be a simple one, an easy one of sorts if you like to believe. There will be no tournament, no written exams, no pesky chakra shielding floors or seals. It will be a 1 test, 1 simple retrieval mission. Behind those walls, behind that door is a temple, inside the temple is a very special herb. Anyone who comes back with that herb will be eligible to become a Chuunin for your respected Village. That's it. Simple no? That's all you need to do. Go in this lovely little forest, reach the temple, find this special herb that is about a foot high with rainbow colored pedals, and bring it back. I know what you are all thinking, easy right? Of course it is. You see we don't want to make things very difficult for everyone. We understand how hard and difficult it is to be a Ninja and we just want to make sure it is as simple as humanly possible. We hope to see you soon. Oh, and to know what's going on we set up security cameras throughout the forest and temples just so we can know where you are all at, at all times."

There was a moment of pause for a few seconds before the old man spoke once more. "Oh you may start when those doors open, just give a minute and we'll open the gates, and you can go right on in and scamper off. Have fun kiddies." he said before finishing with a hardy laugh.

Ace remain silent after he went through his speech of encouragement. Finally words lingered out of the loudspeaker once again providing details of the mission. Observing how easy it sounded the chivalrous gambler gently pinched his chin as he pondered. They had to find a herb and that was it something that not even considered a C rank mission. "how many herbs resides.. most likely it will have to be fought over depending on the existing quantity" the Knave of Hearts said to himself silently examining the unknown variables.

"dear companions even though this mission sounds easy don't be ignorant fools"[/b] the chivalrous gambler politely said to his teammates. "the quantity of the herb will mostly likely be restricted making the competitive value of the plant to increase drastically"[/b] he continued to speak. "thus people will desperately want the herb brewing decent competition which we should be victorious"[/b] the Knave of Hearts mentioned confidently with his usual polite tone with a gentle smirk upon his lips.

"when those doors open we shall venture forward to gather the treasure lingering within"[/b] Ace said as he waited for the door to open. He was well aware how there was probably going to be conflict between villages due to the herb. Even knowing the competitive risk his soul remained confident in his skilled shinobi.

This isn't the time for speeches, Arekkusu thought to himself. Maybe speeches just weren't his style, but he always thought they were far too over the top. Trying to hard to be inspirational without the substance to back it up; hot air wasn't good enough for him. Though he respected the attempt, he gave no return of the vow. Instead, he spoke to the guards.

"I hope you don't mind if I do a bit of prep." He wasn't really concerned if they minded or not, cause he was going to do it anyway. Twenty four hand seals rolled by. A burst of wind came up around him, and continued to flow and swirl around him, kicking up a bit of the dust on the ground. Anyone with the ability to see chakra would notice the glow emanating now from his forearms, his waist and from his shins and the soles of his feet. They would also see 25 glowing beacons of chakra in cube shapes slowly hovering around him, the sources of the wind.

A retrieval mission would make for quite the test of his abilities as both a ninja and an owl. Nothing was ever as simple as it seemed, what traps lay within this temple that they were headed, or creatures? Whatever, he just wanted to get started. His arms crossed across his chest and he began to float in circles, waiting for the gates to open.

She grabbed a few bottles of water as she walked past but before she could make it a quarter of the way to the gates, an announcement came on the speaker. "Test test," There was a brief pause... A few thoughts sprung into the young kunoichi's mind as soon as the announcement was over. Ace covered the first one, captain obvious as always. A smile tugged at the corner of Rin's mouth. "We could always wait for someone else to do the hard work of getting it, and then we just relieve them of the herb. Voluntarily or by force, it doesn't matter. " She could already imagine what the do-gooder Ace would say about a plan like that, but he needed to know there wasn't only one way to get it. "Unless we get to the herb or herbs first, well ahead of the others, there would be a fight to get it, then a fight to get out...."

Rin crossed the threshold of the gates, entering the exams for what could her first, and last time. Rin turned and yelled over her shoulder to the three guys behind her. Noticing them not making a similar oath Ace frowned slightly. A few seconds later his lips returned back to their usual shape as his light blue eyes looked at the gates. The gates began to open making aloud creaking sound while the gates opened the chivalrous gambler quickly took off his left glove before biting into one of his fingers. He immediately started a short of handseals as blood gently slithered down his index finger onto his palm. When enough chakra was gathered the Knave of Hearts slammed his palm onto the ground which a black insignia formed. When the blood and chakra touched upon the designed surface a small cloud of smoke erupt.

The chivalrous gambler gave the small slithering shadow lingering in the smoke a gentle smile. Zewak poked its small rainbow maned head from the smoky substance while Ace slipped back on his white glove upon his left hand. "climb aboard little companion we need your senses"[/b] Ace politely said to the young rainbow feathered serpent guardian. Making a cute little noise he began to quickly slither up his summoner's leg heading towards Ace's neck. Once there it gently wrapped around the Knave of Heart's neck getting himself comfortable before flicking out his tongue sensing the area.

Walking towards Rin Ace started another short chain of handseals tapping into the metallic core inside his body. When this core was tapped into the chivalrous gambler's skin slightly glistened the sunlight shimmering off of the metallic skin surface. " of course why let a triumph moment dwindle away now Rin fly upward please so we can be enlightened of the direction to head if for some odd reason that cant be productive we should head north west heading towards the middle"[/b] he said to her and the others politely with a gentle smirk upon his face while chakra gently radiating out of his vessel a small mass of cards being created while 55 cards began to gracefully slither out of one of the holsters upon his hips. The 55 cards began their graceful dance around their master's left gloved hand as Zewak continued to slither out his forked tongue continuing his constant scan. If there was something odd his tongue will be able to tell from the temperature of the subject such as a extra person. "alright venture forward let all stay close each other allowing me to easily use my defensive properties to fend off dangers while brave Zewak constantly scans the area"[/b] Ace explained to his shinobi before he and the others headed forward into the forest while staying close to them as they progressed north west if Rin was not able to locate the temple from her flight although if a locatin was found from her air born view they hopefully would head that direction instead. If there was someone lurking in the forest Zewak would make a squeak signaling his summoner the danger.

Drawback: The more durable the body is, the less speed that the user has. The speed is of the user is reduced by one Difficulty Class from their current Difficulty Class for every Rank of the technique that the user has active. If at any point the user's Difficulty Class for movements reduces below "D" Rank, they will be considered to have zero movements per turn, unless they are performing the required handseals to obtain a lower Durability.
Description: The Koutestu no Karada, or the Steel Body, is the understanding of just how powerful the user's steel has become. The Steel of the body is capable of resisting up to one strike of the same Rank as it before becoming injured. This technique, while not in weapon form, can be modified around, due to the fact that the lower the ranking, the faster that the user is capable of moving with less training. When the user has transformed into Weapon Form, they will automatically take the highest rank of this ability in order to state their durability.
Limit: Must have Koutetsu Katansei of the same rank.

Karada Sumiyaka (Body Speed)

Effect: Allows the user to learn to move at speeds equivalent to their Difficulty Class.

Drawback: Must learn the technique for every rank of Koutetsu no Karada or else the user will suffer from movement penalties.
Description: This specialized form of training is given to those individuals within the Seitetsu Clan. Upon becoming an individual with the Steel Body technique, the user's own speeds will dramatically suffer. This training allows the user to act as if they were unaffected by the steel transitions within the body, allowing them to fight normally. Each Rank of this technique reduces the Difficulty Class Movement Penalty imposed by the Steel Body technique by one Difficulty Class, meaning that if the user only has the "D" Rank of this technique but switches to "B" Rank Steel Body, then they will have their movements reduced to the point that they would move as if they were two Difficulty Classes lower than they were, instead of three. Rin's wings had been itching to be set free, a deep ache that centered in her shoulders. "It's funny that you should say that Ace." Rin said with a grin. "I was thinking the same thing." Preparation would hopefully keep Rin safe, and so she began a long string of seals. A multitude of changes would begin, starting with the Kunoichi's wings. They word emerge from underneath her skin, just beneath her shoulders, coming out perfectly through the meshed slits in the back of her form fitting outfit. The wings were covered in all black feathers that had some white spots dotted all over, and in some way they looked like the night sky with small stars dotted across it. Rin's hands were in constant motion, forming more seals. Chakra poured onto the freshly released wings, forcing the feathers into new positions. The wings felt a bit heavier, but Rin knew she could now fly seamlessly, without her feathers making noise that might give her away in a tight situation. Next, Rin focused on something from her new found Kaishin heritage. Focusing on the water in the air all around her, Rin began freezing it into a fine mist that was very nearly invisible to the naked eye. The mist itself had properties that allowed Rin to sense movements around her. Rin furiously continued, the last set of seals stretching longer than the one's before them. Chakra poured over Rin's body, slowing melting her out of sight and into the background behind her. Silent, and invisible, Rin paused for a moment. She had just expended a lot of chakra and she needed a brief second to catch herself. Not wanting to show weakness, she sucked up a deep breath, letting it relax her before she took to the air in an attempt to get a better look at her surroundings. While flying upwards she reached into her utility belt and slapped on her M.P.G., activating the x2 zoom, and the recording button simultaneously. If she made it out this alive, she would have valuable intel on any ninja they might come across from other villages. Rin looked down on the entire area after breaking the treetops, heading in the northwest direction Ace had pointed her in while searching for anything that might be out of the ordinary. She had her communication device active, and if she found anything of value she would radio back to the group on the ground. As the user does this the user's chakra slowly pours over the user in a melding style way as the chakra begins to take the form of the background. Tsubasa Sodachimasu no jutsu (Wing Grow Technique) Rank: C-Rank Skill: Ninjutsu Effect: Lets the user grow wings of a bird out of their shoulders. Special: Ram Drawback: The user may feel some pain, due to the initial outburst of the extra shoulder bones that are used for the rest of the wings to grow on. As the pair entered through the gates, the other two being left behind momentarily, Ace would make his way through the trees below as Rin would fly above the trees... Or so that would be the case if they could get through the tree tops. The branches of the trees seemed to be interwoven so neatly that getting through was nearly impossible without actually breaking the trees themselves. It was a good plan, but this field seemed to be designed perfectly for the situation at hand.

Not that it would matter too much, for as the trees were blocking the way to the skies, they would be able to see the light shining beyond the trees, indicating an open field right in front of them. Further traveling would show that the ground was earthy with grass and various animal life here. A few stone structures could be seen in the open field, but nothing to indicate where the tower was. The trees around them seemed to be of varying heights, showing no sign of the tower or the other teams just yet. Should Rin take to the skies once more (As I am assuming you will), she would notice the field would extend quite far. No other teams could be seen just yet, and neither could the tower. It was clear that the tower was in one of the bunches of trees. But the trees were everywhere, and it was hard to say exactly where they were. What awaited them in this area? Only by venturing forward would they truly know.

This was a race! Who knew how many herbs could be found, and if there was only one whomever got to it first would be at a serious advantage... Rin had attempted taking to the clear skies but the dense forest kept her confined to the top most branches of the towering trees. Rin didn't know failure and in her persistence she could see light pouring in through the trees not that far ahead of herself. Obviously the sun was peaking through in large amounts somewhere ahead of her in this forest, indicating some kind of clearing not that far ahead. Rin compressed the communication device on her neck, sending her recon back to the rest of the team. "I can't break through the thick branches overhead, but I can see some sunlight peeking through not far ahead. Advise, there is probably a clearing up ahead, and as for enemy shinobi I have seen none so far." Rin continued trying to look through the thick forest with her goggles max zoomed. "Ace, do you want me to scout ahead?" The Snow Kunoichi would ask while moving towards the clearing without waiting for an answer. She had wings for a reason, and they weren't helping her much in the confines of the dense green trees and thick branches. Besides, if she emerged into the clearing and found it occupied, she would most assuredly be safe. First the enemy would have to be able to sense her now that she was camouflaged and flying silent, and they would need to have some sort of long distance attacks in order to reach her in the sky. Rin coasted in between the tree trunks that made up the forest, eventually emerging from the forest and into the clearing. Rin gained steady altitude, until she was forty meters off the ground. On her way up she gazed down on the open field with her goggles, using the zoom feature to inspect the open area. It was then that she noticed the stone structures in the field and she took a moment to carefully take in their details in case there was anything important about them. Rin leveled off at forty meters and began flying lazy circles as she continued to scan the area for signs of the temple that held the herb she was searching for, and for any trouble that might be heading her way. Entering the forest the chivalrous gambler noticed how thick the trees lingering above seemed to be he looked at his sides and back making sure the other two remained close. This was further confirmed as it seemed Rin could not easily reach towards the heavens. Although looking ahead the blanket of shimmering sunlight highlighted the clearing up ahead. Hearing the girl's voice emitting from the small communication devise in Ace's left ear he silently thought. "Rin remember be cautious"[/b] he spoke into the communication devise briefly shifting his light blue eyes upon the little feathered serpent he waited for Zewak to give any signs of incoming danger. Zewak silently flicked out his forked tongue sensing the body temperatures of all of the living organism in the area. If there was something lurking in or near the clearing he would make a high pitched squeak while pointing his tail at the danger's directing warning his summoner as they continued to venture north west.

Ace continued to cautiously and swiftly head towards the clearance as the 55 cards gracefully floated around their master. The faint rays of sunlight reflecting off of his metallic tone flesh. Constantly Zewak continued to scan the body temperatures of the area as he flicked his serpentine tongue. The chivalrous gambler kept his ears open alert for any warnings from his feathered friend. "details please dear madam"[/b] he asked politely into the devise as he stood into the clearing briefly looking back to check on the other two. While he waited for the winged lady to inform him the details of the overhead views his light blue eyes scanned the area as the 55 cards remained gracefully dancing around their master. Zewak searched the area as well with his amber eyes while his tongue flicked out sensing the area.

This technique, while not in weapon form, can be modified around, due to the fact that the lower the ranking, the faster that the user is capable of moving with less training. When the user has transformed into Weapon Form, they will automatically take the highest rank of this ability in order to state their durability.

Karada Sumiyaka (Body Speed)
Rank: "D", "C", "B", "A", "S"
Skill: Supplementary
Effect: Allows the user to learn to move at speeds equivalent to their Difficulty Class.
Special: ---
Drawback: Must learn the technique for every rank of Koutetsu no Karada or else the user will suffer from movement penalties.
Description: This specialized form of training is given to those individuals within the Seitetsu Clan. Upon becoming an individual with the Steel Body technique, the user's own speeds will dramatically suffer. This training allows the user to act as if they were unaffected by the steel transitions within the body, allowing them to fight normally. Each Rank of this technique reduces the Difficulty Class Movement Penalty imposed by the Steel Body technique by one Difficulty Class, meaning that if the user only has the "D" Rank of this technique but switches to "B" Rank Steel Body, then they will have their movements reduced to the point that they would move as if they were two Difficulty Classes lower than they were, instead of three. If they have the "C" Rank Steel Body, then they will suffer only a singular class deduction with the "B" Rank Steel Body, and the "B" Rank of this technique would allow for no Difficulty Class Movement Penalty for the "B" Rank Steel Body.

Koutetsu Katansei (Steel Malleability)
Rank: "D", "C", "B", "A", "S"
Skill: Clan Ninjutsu, Supplementary
Effect: This is the basis technique for conforming and manipulating the Steel within the body.
Special: Must have the same rank of this technique as the rank of Clan techniques that the user wishes to learn.
Drawback: Without this technique, the user is incapable of moving.
Description: A basic understanding of how to utilize chakra in a manner that allows it to seep into the user's steel body and change it. This is the primary basis of all techniques within the Clan, and as such it is a requirement to learn this technique to the same Rank of any Clan technique that the user wishes to obtain. An example would be, if the user wanted to learn a "C" Rank technique, they would need the "C" Rank of this technique. If they wanted to learn an "A" rank Clan technique, they would have to learn the "A" Rank of this technique first.

Effect: The beginning for any paper user. One must take the time to learn within this technique to gain access to more advanced paper techniques. With this technique the user will gain the knowledge to manipulate the form and actions of paper. The higher one goes into this technique, the more advanced their paper creations are.

Drawback: This is not a technique but an understanding. Without this, one cannot hope to utilize paper. This technique only grants minimal control over paper in their radius. Paper only being manipulated with this technique cannot be used as an offensive strike and lacks the chakra to be imbued with Paper Strength.
Description: There are 3 ranks to paper manipulation. Each rank has its own name and variation but each form allows a user access to more advanced capabilities.

Paper Adept - "C" Rank - This is the basic paper manipulation where everyone must start. With this rank of knowledge a user can manipulate pieces of paper in a simple form within the range of tiny to small size. Simple forms range from weapons such as needles or basic rods. At this stage the user is capable of manipulating paper within a radius of ten meters.

Paper Origami - "B" Rank - This is the intermediate form of manipulation. Upon achieving this rank, ones creations receive an origami feel to its creation. Utilizing ones own chakra, a user is capable of creating paper objects or animals within the origami realm. At this rank, a user is capable of manipulating paper within the range of medium to large size. At this stage the user is capable of manipulating paper within a radius of thirty meters.

Paper Masha - "A" Rank - This is the final level of paper manipulation. One is capable of taking multiple pieces of paper to create something of almost life like value. With this, one is capable of creating things within the range of huge to Gargantuan size. When the user learns this rank, they are capable of manipulating paper within a fifty meter radius.

Effect: A technique where a snake may use its tongue in order to "see" the thermal heat off of bodies in the distance.

Description: A snake has the ability to have thermal sense by flicking its tongue out. Snakes use this as a way of sight for most of the time. With Thermal sensing it’s able to "sense" or "see" the thermal body heat that emits off of the human or animal populace. Since Humans and animals well warm blooded animals emit a distinctive amount of heat it’s quite easily to tell where one is at. When a snake learns this technique they are able to sense or see any creature that is within sixty meters in front of them. The snake is not allowed to see anywhere else around them, so this means they can't sense behind him. However, the snake is indeed capable of "sensing" behind objects within this range. This technique was devised for snakes in order to help them hunt when wanting some good food.

The prince set off on his little adventure obviously he wanted to find the herb however he had a rather unconventional means of doing so. Rather than trying to fly into the air the prince had decided to eliminate other possible contestants, this way they would in theory have more time to search for the herb and a higher chance of success. Ryū’s large snake would immerge from the earth and head towards him, as he waited for the snake’s arrival he would form a complex set of signs to his bear, informing Bradley of the plan and who the first person to track was. Once his snake had caught up the prince left to catch up with the team of ninjas allowing Bradley to roam around although the bear remained five meters from him at all times. Upon catching up with the group the prince would stand five meters from the rest of the ninjas. (Obviously spirit isn’t included in this) From here he would inform them of his plan “From the amount of ninjas I saw enter the contest, it seems we have the advantage so I believe we should press our advantage by eliminating other contestants. After all even if they were as skilled as us we would still achieve victory via the larger group number, although I seriously doubt that the enemy will be that skilled. So I have informed by companion of my plan, and he is currently hunting for the scent of the young female from cloud. (PINK) until he discovers the scent we should continue searching the area.”

Torakkingu Nioi (Tracking Scent)

Effect: An animal companion hones their sense of smell to such levels that they may track an opponent.
Special: N/A
Drawback: Certain animals cannot progress to the higher levels of this technique do to their lack of acute scent abilities. Animals with unremarkable scent abilities, such as the bird, can only learn up to the B ranked version of this technique.
Description: The user of this technique gathers their natural scent abilities, using them to track an opponent. The animal catches the scent of the tracked object or person, and from there follows the scent trail. With the D ranked version, the user can only track a scent ten days old. Each rank higher that is trained increases the time frame by ten days. This means that a user with the C ranked version can track a scent twenty days old, while the S ranked version can track a scent fifty days old. This technique may be used to track humans, objects, or even herbs. However, when tracking an herb or poison, the user can only track an herb or poison of the same rank of as their current level of this technique. The user can only track an herb they have encountered in the past. The user must have encountered either a poison itself or the components making it up in the past in order to track it. This technique increases the user’s chance of finding an herb by five percent. This amount increases by a further five percent at each rank, so an S rank user has their chance of finding an herb increased by twenty five percent. The user can track an opponent over various terrains, including grassland, hard earth, and undisturbed snow and sand, and still water. When tracking another human being, the user has a thirty percent chance of catching a scent while in the same region, or a ten percent chance while in an adjacent region. A user must have at least one post between each post asking for a scent roll. This percentage increases by ten at each rank, so the S ranked version of the technique allows the user a seventy and fifty percent chance, respectively. Once a scent is successfully caught, and the user is in the same region as the tracked victim, the user has a twenty percent chance of finding them. This percentage increases by ten for each rank of this technique learned, so the S ranked version offers a sixty percent chance.

Red wanted to get the herb too, but he seemed to not be in a huge rush for it. Something about this entire situation sat very unwell with him, like all of this was going to go wrong very quickly, and it was going to happen very soon. The forest was unnatural, the canopy too thick to be wrought by nature in such a way; someone could probably manipulate this scene in their advantage. Ace could, he had the wood release, and the skill to use it here, but what of the others?

"Good call," he spoke to the one he had been left behind with. Red floated along with him, his eyes gliding over his surroundings. The trees were too big to exist that close together to create a forest so thick. Reddo drew one of his throwing axes from his vest, and pointed the handle at the boy with the bear, being very careful to not touch anything, even the floor.

"Take this." He shook the axe a little to get his attention. "If things get hairy, or you need help, throw it into the sky. And try not to kill any examiners, the more of them there are, the lower the chance for our competition."

If Ryu took the axe Red would sit cross legged in the air, still moving along with Ryu, until they reached the clearing. Curious stone structures painted in the light of the sun that shone down from the brilliant, cloudless blue sky. Grassy and pretty...and an obvious battleground.

Reddo came to a stop at the edge of the clearing, keeping behind the trees. Suspicion and caution brought up from the uneasy feeling before led him to bend time in his vision. The world warped around his eyes, and time began to reverse rapidly for him as he watched the imprints of the souls that had come before. Who had been through this field...and where were they now?

Description: Life energy exists without time and when a soulcaster uses this ability he can see that energy as it is laid out. A technique that affects only the user and where they were. User stays where they were and sways their hands around. When this technique is performed they are capable of seeing 12 minutes into the past per class level. The Soulcaster can see the area they are viewing as if they were there. The distance they are capable of seeing is approximately 30 meters from where they are plus 10 meters per class level.
