Their response was quick, coordinated, and full of intent to kill. They wanted Griffon dead, and that suited him just fine. An opponent, suddenly Snapping directly in front of him, while large hands of Earth rose from behind him, exploding tags prepared in the hands of crystal clones. A sphere of death, with nowhere to go for Griffon, except one direction. The timing would need to be perfect, but Griffon had the skill to enact an escape from this attack. A noise heard only on Gale Empire Frequencies would sound in Griffon's ear...

Griffon waited for the precise moment, his eyes mere pinpoints of light yet watching Seven with intensity. Seven's body reached forth, an arm blazing with chakra-formed flames, preparing a strike almost no creature could withstand. Griffon would not be there to take the strike. Seven had committed himself to this attack the moment he had taken in the second set of chakra spheres; he had to follow through or kill himself with his own power. Therein lay the weakness of the offense; and Griffon, having watched Seven's movement with acuity, exploited it. In the last moment before Seven's fist would engulf the area in chakra flames, Griffon would perform his own Quick Step Manuever, dashing forward! His skill was such that he did not crash into Seven, but deftly maneuvered around his body to appear behind Seven's body. (Shunshin 1/10, Shunshin Counter/Trace used)

The explosion of chakra would rock the area with its destructive force, shattering anything in its path, including part of the giant earthen hands that had meant to be used to entrap Griffon. At this point even if the clones exploded the only target they would affect would be Seven himself who, having used such a dangerous and powerful attack, drained himself and caused a shutdown of his own body. Griffon would turn, the blade that Seven had originally thrown at him, Seven's own blade, would be thrust forward. Unless Seven could miraculously move his body in time, unlikely given the fact he had just paralyzed himself with his own technique, or any of the others could get there in time, also unlikely given the positioning and distance of Griffon in relation to them all, then the blade would pierce Rathalos's abdomen. It was slide in from his back and exit the front of his stomach, blood oozing from the wound immediately. "I must go. The retreat has been ordered. Your sword I believe. This grenade though, is mine."

True to his word Griffon would let go of the sword piercing Rathalos and reach to his armor, a grenade released from a compartment into his hand. The pin would be pulled, the grenade dropped, and Griffon would simply... leave. Through a large burst of Quick Steps (9 Shunshin) Griffon would go from the space directly behind Rathalos to a distance of ninety meters directly away from the Gate, Anotsu with his clones, and Seven and Apollo. The retreat had been called, his orders were absolute, but to Anotsu's eyes his aura would seethe with rage and fury at being denied his battle. With Gate-enhanced Speed Griffon would continue his retreat, only Apollo would have any real chance at matching his speed to catch him, and there was the consideration of a grenade about to explode within one meter of Rathalos's position as he lay paralyzed and wounded. In all likelihood the team's best option would be to concentrate on saving Rathalos over pursuing their opponent. If they were unable to truly catch up to Griffon, he would soon rendezvous with one of the Troop Transports, and would be able to retreat with the few last remaining soldiers of the invasion force...

After he had blocked the strikes against Anotsu, the Wolf shield transformed back into the Wolf Anbu.

The Asura Strike. It had been a long time since Beowulf had since his brother use it. It was truly an awesome technique. Beowulf always forgot that his brother was in fact much much stronger than himself. However each time he saw the high powered taijutsu his body trembled. Beowulf knew that Rathalos was putting his life on the line...

The blast disappeared almost as quick as it had suddenly erupted. The area in front of Rathalos was bare for thirty meters and no where was the Samurai to be seen. Finally it's over, thought Beowulf. But this wasn't the case.

The Gale Samurai was alive! He had flickered past Rathalos and now had Beowulf's own blade in his hand ready to strike his brother down from behind! Rathalos was spent! He wouldn't be able to move after such a massive chakra outburst! And even with Apollo's great speed he wouldn't be able to get there in time!

Time seemed to slow down for Beowulf this time. His brother Rathalos winked through his mask at his brother, thinking he had the cleaned the enemy off the face of the earth. The Metal Samurai turned, having in his hand the same blade that Beowulf had sent his way not so long ago, ready to stab Rathalos in the back. What a terrible terrible predicament. Certainly Rathalos was as good as dead. Or was he?

Alas! The fool was using Beowulf's own blade! Thank fucking God! Every blade that Beowulf brought to battle was equipped with an "S" rank elemental tag of some sort. Upon originally seeing the mechanical beast they were up against of course Bewoulf sent out a blade with a lightning tag attached to the hilt! What luck! What stupid dumb luck! Just as the Samurai turned to make his strike, Beowulf would simple make the Half-Ram. The electrical tag would activate, blasting the tin man paralyzing him instantly. Stopping the murderous fiend right before he could plunge his sword into Rathalos.

Apollo was there not a moment later. Two flickers and a running start and the Great White Wolf would slam into the Gale Samurai with the greatest Bull Rush known in existence. The paralyzed hunk of metal would be sent flying into the rock wall that protected the village. The foe may or may not be alive depending on his armor. The technique Apollo used was in fact made to knock through defenses, but this enemy proved to be one that was difficult to kill.

The elemental tag was sure to have an effect:

The figure was covered by a bulky metal chest-piece riddled with pressure gauges and cables running from the main chestplate to waist and back mounted tanks. A literal chimney rose from behind their head, thick steam bellowing forth, but the machinery seemed to do nothing but keep the person contained within warm.

A stiff and high cuff on the Gi hid most of the person's face, and with a stereotypical straw-hat instead made from the same metal as his armor, it was completely hidden in shadow. Only a pair of tiny pinpoints of light were visible, showing the eyes of the creature.

Another moment later and the cloud would be suddenly thrown to the side (5/??), the Samurai stepping forward, a great burst of steam emanating from the chimney on his back (6/).

Griffon would turn, the blade that Seven had originally thrown at him, Seven's own blade, would be thrust forward.

The mechanization on his body would certainly be affected by the electrical blast. Shorting out everything. If it had some sort of insulating effect against lightning, the foe's face was exposed, allowing the blast to enter his body through there, like water resting in a metal bucket. The chimney on his back did indeed seem connected to his movements which seemed to suggest it was connected to his actual person. Making it likely that the metal around him connected to his person would only increase the effect of the elemental tag.

Wasting no time, Beowulf screamed towards Anotsu, "Trap him!"

Effect: Exploding tags are scraps of paper inscribed with a special writing, centering on the kanji for "explode" (爆, baku). Infused with chakra, they will explode after a set amount of time that bursts an area into electrical currents.

Drawback: May harm the user if not put right.
Description: Paper that is 2 inches by 6 inches in size and 0.039" (1 mil) thick. Tags can be activated to explode within 6 seconds, or by a simple technique. This tag may be attached to any surface. This is a tag that explodes releasing a mass amount of lightning and electrical shock in a large area. The moment the pouch explodes it releases a massive ball of electrical current outwards from the point of origin. The pouch shocks and paralyzes an opponent for 3 rounds within 1 meter diameter and shocks and paralyzes an opponent for 1 round within 2 meters diameter from the point of origin. May be attached to 3 items without taking up room in a single slot.
Limit: These types of items may be capable of being bought inside any Weapon Shop.
Cost: 16,000 Ryo per Slot, or 200 Ryo Each.

Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: The Greatest Bulrush known in existence. This Jutsu was created, or founded by the sheer hatred by those who used defense rather then being offensive like that of the brawler. A technique that is used to bash through destroying the sheer view of defense and shields, hence the name. The technique is capable of stacking, depending on how many times the user may know this technique depends on how powerful the Rush is to destroy barriers and shields.
Special: Must take a running start of ten feet.
Drawback: Each time whenever someone hits using this bulrush depending on how many objects are in the way the destructive power of this Jutsu goes down by one depending on how many times the user knows this technique. This means that if the user knows this technique four times, the destructive power of this technique is equal to that of One "S" Rank Jutsu, and Three "A" Rank Jutsus. If there were two Obstacles within the way then there would be One "S" Rank Jutsu, and One "A" Rank Jutsu of destructive power.
Description: A Bulrush of great proportion. A Rush where the user takes the time to rush forward taking a running speed. The user rushes forward as he slams into a style of defense. This technique is used to eradicate and slam through defenses as if they were butter. The technique is an "A" Rank technique but has the destructive power of an "S" Rank technique because of all of the prerequisites. This means that if a brawler smashed into a defense that is capable of holding up an "A" Rank technique the Shield Basher is capable of pushing through the barrier. This technique is capable of being learned multiple times. Each time this technique is learned the Shield Basher gains an extra feel of damage of an "A" Rank.
Limit: Must know Kitsui Kaba (Close Bull Rush), Must have mastered the Brawler style.

A turn of events that would surely calm the tides of battle.

The Sharingan Eye pierced the veil of Griffon's speed and allowed me the foresight of his movements, my hands immediately relinquishing their hold upon the earth as I followed him with meticulous care. My clones had been placed to rest within the fires of the Strike, its devastating eruption audibly apparent as the shield that had formed around me morphed back into what appeared to be a humanoid form. And so I would act simultaneously, lifting and stepping forward upon my right foot just as the tag of lightning proportion was set to explode. For but a sliver was I somewhere within the range of speed that Apollo possessed, a Shunshin [1|40] delivering me straightway to the northern flank of an interrupted assault to my ally's torso. Surely, the tag would do what it did best. The impact of the Bull Rush was sure to have knocked Griffin back before its area of effect would begin its spread; a penalty to most, but I had mastered the Raiton affinity. Following the offensive Taijutsu, I would do my part and enact a countermeasure of sorts to absorb the lightning that exploded forth from the origin of the sword.

I had become a conductor, granting me an increase in chakra.

But my ministrations would not stop there. The focal point of the tag had already taken its toll upon Griffon as I covered only mine and Apollo's sphere of influence, a meager few meters separating it from injuring my partner in his weakened state. When Griffon would meet the earthen wall to the village, I would immediately cast myself forward once more within the blink of an eye; I jettisoned across the gaia [2|40], a single handseal revealed as all within Griffon's vicinity began to take on a crystalline captivity. I would start at his hands, every fiber of his being slave to the beauty of my Ninjutsu. His paralysis would ensure that naught could be done by the time Beowulf's tag ceased its function. Ultimately, we had once again worked in sync to thwart his attempt at escape. Beyond the veil would my Sharingan Eyes rest, every action absorbed and consumed by my cognizance. It was absolute, a testament to my power as I stood before the humanoid being and stared deeply into eyes that surely would meet he who had sealed him. I stood so that I could watch every flicker of those glowing pools; while it was aesthetically imposing, it also made our eye contact all the more easy to achieve - like prey that had no forestry to hide its retreat.

"Serve me."

I peered into the space where his eyes rest, the evidence of his spiritual resolve apparent when I had seen his Soul weave its magics. Mere meters away from him, he would be forced to lose his will to the superior grip of the Sharingan. The tomoe along my iris would inevitably begin to spin, an inexorable desire to do as I so chose cascading the senses and penetrating resistance. Within seconds, Griffon would find himself more than cooperative; whether a slave to the Empire or a slave to my majesty, our aggressor would find no quarter. And unless he possessed a magician's cloak, the end was nigh.

This battle....was over.

Effect: User is able to absorb a lightning attack for a brief moment while using it against an opponent win increased power.
Special: None
Drawback: User is incapable of performing more then eight times a day or else user falls dieing by a heart attack.
Description: The user's body's chakra is ready at anytime the user need it to. When hit by any lightning the user is able to absorb the lightning as their own for chakra. When the user is hit by any form of lightning (Includes Jutsu or Natural) the user is able to absorb the lightning as their own, they can transfer the lightning they absorb into more chakra for them or may have the option to combine that with a jutsu they have that have the same principles of what they absorb to increase the strength of the rank. By doing this the user is unharmed by any damage that it was suppose to be done to them when they where hit with the lightning.
Limit: Lightning Release Skill (Raiton no Jutsu), Must have 500 TP in Raiton no Jutsu. Once you obtain 500 TP in Raiton no Jutsu, this is automatically learned

Shōton: Crystallization
Rank: C, B, A, S

Effect: Allows the user to create crystal to varying degrees.
Special: Handseals of the technique it is used with..
Drawback: It is impossible to crystallize electricity, wind, or fire. Any element that lacks a physical presence can not be crystallized. Sound Jutsu will act as if one rank stronger then their designated technique when being pitted against crystal. Sound techniques use their high frequency and vibration qualities to essentially shatter your crystals, as opposed to just break them, if they are geared towards acts of that nature *ie they are meant to damage physically and not some sort of genjutsu or the like*. When calculating damage vs the durability of your crystal, remember to add it together. If one person does an A rank vs you crystal that can withstand S rank, you can only endure one A rank more unless the crystal is redone/fixed which becomes costly.
Description: Using your abilities with the crystal release skill you are able to create crystal either by transforming the particles in the air, or a more prominent substance. The technique is your essential crystal technique. It governs two things: the amount of crystal you can create at once, and the strength of your crystalline constructs. At C rank the user is able to crystallize up to a 5x5 section of material per movement dedicated to the process after handseals. This of course can be edited to be proportionally the same such as a 6x4 meter area etc. Also, when you have this skill at C rank, your crystalline constructs are able to endure C rank damage before shatter. This defensive power stacks with whatever technique this is used with if applicable. As your rank increases so to does this techniques power. At B rank, your ability to crystallize becomes a 10x10 meter area, and its able to withstand up to a B rank. At A rank it increases to 20x20 meters, and is able to withstand up to an A rank amount of damage. At S ranks it increases once more to 40x40 meter area, and again is able to withstand an S rank amount of damage. With this technique the user is able to transport through crystalline structures of their own creation at a speed of 5 meters per movement (kind of like underground fish projectile). This technique is generally used passively within other techniques. This technique also allows a user to somewhat “dismiss” their crystal creations at will. When doing so the crystal seems to basically disintegrate.

Effect: A Hypnosis technique where the user is capable of making the opponent perform, or do something that is against the will of the opponent.
Special: User must make contact with the opponent as the Sharingan Three Tomoe spins.
Drawback: User incapable of making a person performing something that goes against their morals and code such as attacking a friend.
Description: The eye begins to spin as all three black dots spin in a slow hypnotic like state as the effect takes place. This allows the user to suggest something towards the opponent in which they must follow. When the user learns the "A" Rank version of this technique they are capable of making an opponent doing small creations, small things such as falling asleep, moving, within the amount of four rounds, plus one round for every Class the user is higher then "C" Class. When the user learns the "S" rank of this technique they are capable of making those that they hypnotize perform greater feats instead of just moving, falling asleep or anything such as that. The user is capable of making those that they hypnotize to perform harsh tasks such as copying documents. At no time the user is capable of making an opponent perform a technique. The user when learning the "S" rank version is capable of keeping control against an opponent for an amount of six rounds plus every round the user is higher then "B" Class.

Danger! Drop the bla..! The warning from Griffon's own soul was too late to warn his past self. The tiniest motion from Anbu Wolf and suddenly Griffon's form was saturated with enough electricity to stun most people directly into unconsciousness. A man surrounded by a metallic shell fared even worse. The metallic shell sucked up all the lightning as physics dictated; there would need to be no intervention from Anotsu or the Anbu Wolf to save their comrade from damage. Blasted by the lightning Griffon's form would cease moving completely, not start to fall limp as most stunned creatures did, but locking up completely and beginning to fall over like an unbalanced statue.

Apollo's devastating Bull Rush would slam into the metallic statue, sending him flying backwards even as the chestplate crumpled under the force of the blow, and Griffon's sword snapped in two like a twig. Crashing against solid stone the sound of bones and metal breaking could be heard ringing out over the field of combat; blood seeped from gaps in the joints of the armor. The joints moved very little for the impact they were subjected to; it was apparent that Griffon's metal armor was capable of its own movement, Griffon merely issued the order for the creation, and with the blast of electricity its movement systems had been taken offline.

As Anotsu would approach the broken husk after freezing it in place and attempt to look into Griffon's eyes he would find no pools of light within, only more of his metallic shell, two cameras where the eyes would be; nothing else of a face. A bloody gasping laugh would issue from within the chestplate of the armor, the voice was small and quiet, barely audible over the sound of the flames still burning the golden transport, "Hahaha..guh.. hehe... did you.. really think I would put myself in a position to be affected by your deceptions?!..." A single globe of light appeared, one of the cameras managing to come back online, the other seemed too damaged to function anymore. It stared at Anotsu, taking in his facial features, and most of all his Sharingan, "You had best hope my communicator is still inoperable, scum. This was merely.. gak... a test! We will... unleash our full strength against you all! There are... hundreds more as strong as I!... Your villages will... cough... not be spared!..."

The voice within fell silent, the voice already having been fading away as it spoke. Either the being within had fallen unconscious or had died. His threat at least was ended now. Bad guys always gave their "You will still suffer" speech as they gave up on victory themselves, right? The aftermath of the fight would leave the Village Gates devastated, it would take a while for them to clean up and repair the area. Of interest to Anotsu and Seven would be seven katana, the only ones to survive the combat, laying under the "corpses" of three crystal dragons. They were not the specially powerful version that Griffon had used as his dominant weapon, but they were spoils for the taking. The body of Griffon was there of course, waiting to be taken by the Frog Anbu to be examined to see if they could keep him alive...

Beowulf ran over to his brother just as Rathalos lost his strength to stand. The Wolf Anbu caught the Dragon Anbu in his arms.

"I can't believe I missed." whispered Rathalos.
"Shh, don't talk. Rest." replied Beowulf.

Rathalos slipped into Beowulf's person and disappeared from the battlefield. He would rest inside his brother and slowly regain his strength.

Beowulf walked over to Anotsu and the crystallized enemy. Now that the fighting had finally died down he was able to take in all the destruction surrounding them. The village was a wreck, fires raged all around, buildings had collapsed all over and there was dead laying all over. His body was tired, but his soul still burned with rage.

After the enemy had his final words, Beowulf said some of his own.

"Communicator? I hope it does still work." Beowulf took off his mask and looked into the man's mechanical eyes. "All the damage done here today will be paid back ten fold. Believe me. We will find your so called Empire. And we will raze it to the ground. Prepare yourself. Because the next time we do battle, it will be your home on fire." He talked not to the General known as Griffon, but the Gale Emperor himself.

Beowulf slid his mask back over his face and turned around.

"We will take it from here Anotsu. I don't know what you plan to do now, but you are welcome to stay here in the village. However I can understand if you'd like to go back to Sound after all this. There should still be some Anbu stationed outside the gate. I'll radio them for you. The Raikage will contact the Otokage shortly I'm sure. Kumogakure is seriously in your debt. And so am I."

He bowed towards the man.

"Annnd on another note." Beowulf began a short string of seals before slamming his hand to the ground to activate a summoning. A small white cloud erupted from out of no where with a 'pop'. A breeze quickly pushed it away revealing a sexy maid servant holding a large purple card with the word "MAN" on it. She seemed unaffected by the carnage surrounding her and kept her sexy on. Beowulf took the card from her hand and handed it to Anotsu.

"You are one hell of a man Anostu. You should join our club. Everything you need to know is on the back. All you really need to know is you get one of these puppies." He pointed over to the beautiful maid girl. "And lots more. We'll be in touch."

Beowulf walked away and started to collect the spoils on the field from the battle. Anostu would be able see Beowulf pointing the girl to help out even though she was visibly grossed out. His change in demeanor was quick after the battle was over. But if Anotsu ever got to know Beowulf he would learn that this was who he was really.

Effect: The user summons an NPC of his choice from one of the clubhouses.

Drawback: Cannot be used in battle and the assistant is fucking useless in combat.
Description: Need someone to shine your shoes? Write you a letter as you dictate? Need something cleaned? Need to deliver a letter but don't have the time to do it yourself? Need your big long hard spear polished? but you're all alone? Not anymore! Form the handseals, focus on your favourite employee from one of the clubhouses and summon her to your side. If you have no preferred employee then a random one will be summons. She will stay around until dismissed. The employee have no jutsu and cannot be used in battle, as they are not fighters and are not payed to fight. If you try to summon an employee during battle she will dismiss herself immediately again.
Limit: Must be a 'Gentleman's Royal Club' member and at least 'Green grade'.

And so our victory had been achieved, and us relatively unscathed for that matter. As I withdrew all aspects of combat and replaced my belongings, I glanced toward Seven with a nod of gratitude. "Indeed. I will be in touch." And in that moment, I had resolved to remove myself from the atmosphere altogether. But not before the male produced what appeared to be a stunning vixen and a card that I would pluck from his fingers. I gazed over it but for a second, the corner of my lips turning upward slightly. "A kind offer - one that I may have to explore further." I couldn't help but to laugh softly, this eccentric shinobi capable of grand feats but a humor that I had not seen in many. While appreciative, my mindset still lingered upon the completion of the mission and the rewards that would surely be brought to me as a result.

I wondered if the Raikage had been witness to the Gale Empire's transgressions. Turning toward the distance, I adjusted my cloak and began to amble forth until the battlefield was naught but a faint smell of sulfur within the distance.

What a mess...

Beowulf surveyed the area. The Village Gates area was in shambles. And the rest of the village was in just as bad shape. And for what? More land? Power? What the hell was the Gale Empire after? And how didn't they ever hear about them before? None of that was important now. The invasion happened and people were dead because of it. Justice would be served in due time. But first it was time to rebuild.

"Ah.. ck."

The steel samurai was still alive! Probably just barely though. Beowulf moved his radio transmitter to the Anbu only frequency.

"I need a clean up crew at the gates. We have an enemy that's still alive. He needs extracting."

Beowulf grabbed the swords from the enemy that were so much stronger than those he had ever seen before and began a slow walk to the Raikage Tower. Soon Apollo joined his side quietly. They would leave the clean up of the enemy to the Anbu squad on their way. Beowulf, Rathalos, and Apollo had done enough today.
