Shunshin no Jutsu - Zanzō (Body Flicker Technique - Remaining Image)

Each time learned user is able to create an extra after image within 10 meters. May learn to perform up to 5 after images within a single Jutsu. The next lesson to learn would detail the final of the five basic shunshin principles. They where the techniques that dealt with maneuvering exceptionally fast within an already started shunshin dash. Gouken explained that dashing off in shunshin and the act of countering it was a great skill. However, even better still to do then that would be to shunshin and have the other option to stop momentarily in a shunshin but then let the momentum carry you back into it again. It sounded complex from the outset to Tien but truly it wasn't so much.

Already having trained this far in how to shunshin Tien decided that he would like his master to clarify by a demonstration. Gouken smiled at this and then decided to start. He dashed off to the side right and in doing so he seemed to flicker back into view somewhere halfway through the ten meter dash. Tien watched in amazement at what was left behind! It was like some kind of transparent still in time. But looking five meter's apart form that he saw that the real Gouken was standing right there.

Looking at him, Tien scratched his head wondering how it was that he was able to leave behind an after image of his body like that. It was almost something like a clone technique but the image faded away moment's later proving it was a fracture stilled image of time space. "Interesting..." Was all Tien could afford form that. Gouken chuckled and explained to Tien that he had to plant a step or make some sort of attempt to slow himself down but not the total momentum from which he would have taken himself through.

Tien nodded at this thinking over the previous attempts to shunshin. He was getting good at it, but to actually slow himself down and stay within the intense speed was a foreign idea. He looked to his left and tried to shunshin off that way. He flickered from view but appeared again only five meter's away realizing that he had appeared again because he had attempted to plant his feet onto the ground and dash off completely again. In fact he found himself stumbling into a roll across the ground.

landing on his forehead really hurt but Tien just figured a little foul up wasn't too bad. He got back up onto his feet and suited himself off thinking about what he could have done wrong. He saw back at the place he tried to land his feet to slow down. There was a firm distortion in the dirt where he could tell he had sent all his momentum. He had to figure a way to be a bit lighter on his feet then that!

It was time to keep going on with it. Tien tried to set himself up to maneuver forward with a sharp shunshin. He shot forth and in the middle of the five feet dash he hit the ground again. He tripped himself over his feet and tried to get back up immediately, by planting his feet on the ground and then flipping through the air. Tien landed after a triple flip and dashed off again, making his way towards the right this time. In dashing this way Tien tried to plant one foot down on the ground to slow himself but it wasn't effective either.

Tien took time to catch his breath, looking over at his master whom seemed to find this funny. Tien would spit to the ground and then set himself for another dash again. As he raced off forward again Tien paid careful attention to the ground and thought whilst within the fractured time. He saw the blur of the ground below him and then planted a foot at the ten meter mark. It was strange to see the ground and world like this; moving at such quick speeds.

And then Tien thought of something. Why not just try to tap the ground barely with his big toe perhaps. As he moved forward again Tien would fly over the ground and end up barely touching the ground and find his leg was swept from under him, causing him to exit his shunshin face first on the ground. "GAAAAAH! Tien shouted sliding to a halt. Rising from the ground again Tien would find himself getting up and feeling upset at his downfall. "I don't get it...I should have had it I could definitely feel it" Tien would say to himself as he ran a hand through his hair.

Gouken spoke up then, "You did have it...you just need to remember that the momentum of the rest of you is still traveling...so you have to think there's a lot of friction being placed on yer big toe alone... if you weren't as strong as you are you might even break your big toe even..." Gouken said. As he Got ready, Gouken would shout, " Just keep your body inclines to whatever position you dash off so the limb that contacts the ground is free of friction. The image will catch and you'll complete your shunshin!

Tien took off running again. His body shot through a five meter dash entering fractured time once more. As he flew through time space Tien would find himself leaning into the shunshin dash and once done he would let one foot arely make contact with the ground. Five meter's after that he would slide right out of the shunshin and come to a halt. Looking back at the last five meter's Tien would see the after image just fading. Gouken smiled in satisfaction.

"Now let's run it through test some more to make sure you can do it well!"

The final training began with Gouken rushing forth first this time. Tien set himself tense and watched for the shunshin. not until he got at least five step's into his run did master Gouken disappear into oblivion. a split second after so did Tien. he shot forth into a shunshin counter, about up to five meter's forward and began to curve around to his left. he was sure to leave a image though by stepping lightly to the ground once more. The image was imprinted the moment his foot hit the ground causing a slight sensation of being jarred to run through Tien's spine.

As he exited his shunshin he would have passed right by master Gouken, leaving him to let a strong hand fly through the image. "Haha...nice!" Gouken exclaimed proud that his student was such a good learner. he turned to deftly swing a suriken Tien's way but the object merely flew right through another after image. the real Tien would have appeared two meter's aside from the after image. Gouken smirked again and plunged his hand's into both of his projectile bags. HE rummaged around for two handful's of projectiles now.

With aggression he flung the projectiles from his bag's, letting ten fly in a web of cutting death. Tien seemed to make a step forward, leaving an after image of his body frozen in what seemed to be a preparedness to dash off. however he would merely have just managed to blitz off in an opposite direction. Dashing off Tien would find himself appearing next to Gouken this time where he cocked a fist back to hit him. after doing this Tien would suddenly freeze in his position as he shunshined away again.

This time he appeared behind master Gouken which caused the big master to merely swing a heavy fist. He still wasn't able to actually hit Tien because he would just shunshin out of the way again. Tien appeared ten meter's away from Gouken and folded his arms across his chest.

The next thing that happened would be Tien moving at his master. He circled around him in a blitzkrieg run and waited for his master to unfold his arms. Gouken seemed to be taken his time waiting to see what Tien would do however. After 10 seconds Gouken finally unfolded them and that's when the circling image of Tien stopped in a frozen image. He had shunshined around to Gouken's Rear again and paused where he had a blnd mid back section. From here Tien would deliver a slight punch to Gouken's mid weak section, but the image froze again in a mid punch. He had disappeared around to the front as Gouken sent an elbow behind him again. Once more Tien was at the front. This time Tien just stood there and looked at his master.

Waiting for him to turn back around was hilarious. Gouken flung his opposite arm out and smacked Tien in the face this time before his face went forward. This sent Tien flying away by five meter's comically, however it was only done in light heartedness. A message to Tien not to get too cocky!

The day before was past and with a night's rest, Tien would return to the grounds for another day of training once again. He would begin his early morning warm -ups and then he would wait for master Gouken to arrive while meditating to himself. Gouken arrived and would begin quickly stating that today the training would start with a new technique that would demonstrate some of the physical skills Tien had learned so far. Tien got set into his normal Goutetsu stance and waited on master Gouken to explain further. It seemed the techinque involved back flipping to avoid an incoming blow but then sharply rushing forward again to deliver a snap punch to an enemy.

Gouken ran forward after a short pause to get himself into stance. upon doing so Tien would jump away from the initial punch and watch his master strive forward to press another punch. The follow up was quick and Tien wasn't familiar with the manner of this technique still. It caught him off guard and he figured he had only just woke up truly. He managed to bounce lightly on his feet and float back from his master sliding to a stance again. Gouken slowed his rush forward down and smiled at Tien.

With a moment to breath in and calm himself down somewhat from his distraction's Tien waved for gouken to run in again. He did coming with a lateral kick this time that was aimed for Tien's gut. Tien jumped over it and landed only to crouch under another roundhouse follow up. Once he rose form that one he found himself back flipping away from a straight jab that aimed for his face. As he landed he found his footing wasn't set to run forward like he thought...hesitation cost him! Gouken had just appeared before Tien with a clothesline swipe that sent Tien to the ground and back by five meter's.

The blow was a heavy one but Tien managed to shove himself up to his feet this time around without sliding to a stop. He was getting tougher then before, learning how to bounce back from hard knocks. usually his Bloodline rage would have gotten to the best of him but it seemed he was faring better then he might have. He set himself into stance again and brushed his bangs from his face; his breathing had elevated. He focused on Gouken who gave a moment before rushing in again. He came barreling towards Tien and delivered a straight jab followed by an alternate uppercut.

Tien side stepped the jab, slapping it away with his guarding hand and then back flipped away from the uppercut. in slowed time it appeared the punch might have clipped his chin, but it had not by a centimeter. He flipped back about 2 meter's and then upon landing thrust his feet from the ground propelling himself forward to deliver a straight punch as hard as he could to his master. Gouken saw it coming though and blocked with a single hand. "Not bad...keep practicing!" Was what he'd say after a moment of silence caught the moment of progression. Tien let his fist retract calmly from his master's palm; a look of focus and determination on his face. He would begin walking a few meter's apart now to reset the training regimen again.

Another round of training was on the way. Tien started quick rushing at master Gouken with a furious look on his face. They had been going rounds for some time after getting back into the swing of things again. Tien held his fist tightly and leered at Gouken with focus as he neared a meter's closeness. Gouken sneered and delivered a swift backwards kick to Tien's head, causing Tien to plant a foot and arc his head back just barely dodging. He tried to snap back with a punch but found Gouken would switch feet and deliver a heavy kick to Tien's gut anyway. Tien was kicked in the gut hard and launched away.

His feet dug into the ground as he slid away, his hand's covered his gut region. The pain was minimal to what it should have been but still he felt that one. His mind took time to review the low blow, reviewing how the act of trying to refuse the back flip had not given him time to avoid any counter and provide his own follow up.The name of the technique made more sense now; Dynamic action: it was the dynamic part of dodging and then attacking swiftly that made it worthwhile. Tien grinned at his intellect, he gripped his fists tightly and then ran forward again, throwing a mock punch even before he arrived close enough.

The attack was blocked by Gouken's elbow, which caused Tien to stall for the surprise. He stopped in mid rush from the strange deflection, and that was enough for Gouken to get him. His master lashed out his hand from the elbow to grip Tien's arm. From here he spun and hurled Tien through the air away ten meter's. Tien flew through the air and forced himself to torque into a upright flip that landed him into a crouch. As he landed he would spring forth rushing at his master with full force behind a cocked punch.

Gouken steeled his foot stance and watched carefully for Tien to run forward. When he ran forward Tien would watch as Gouken would spin around and deliver a slow sweep causing Tien to halt his punch and leap into a triple somersault over Gouken's head. He landed, turned to deliver a spinning crescent kick to him but Gouken blocked easily enough. It occurred to Tien his master was stepping thing's up a bit more now. This was enough to cause a smirk to occur between Tien. Through a pause in time he thought about trying to up the bar himself now. It had been a while in training and he felt it was time to press himself a bit more.

Breaking the both of their closure in a separating leap, both would take time to pause and get set in stance. Gouken rushed forth first now, coming with a cocked fist of his own and a mighty roar behind it. Tien waited patiently for the blow to come for his face. It did in the form of a power hook, and he leaped away from it in a sharp back flip. The moment his toe touched the ground, Tien would propel himself forward as fast as he could, delivering a sharp punch straight for Gouken's own face. The blow was dodged...but just barely.

Tien would now stand ready looking at his master who had lept away. It seemed Gouken was perhaps caught off guard by the rush of his pupil. His speed was picking up and Tien was beginning to play the basics of the goutetsu style without much thinking, as if it where now second nature. The both of them began to run to the side looking at each other side long, until they shun-shined forward at each other. They came out of it right in front of each other with Tien delivering a double punch before Gouken would block and return with a roundhouse. The kick snapped into a blur that spun away from him. Tien would appear some distance away sliding back on a single foot.

He thrust himself forward from there striving forward with blitzkrieg speed it seemed. The dust on the ground kicked up from his rush as he came back trying to deliver a mighty uppercut to Gouken's face. Gouken would block this yet still, but Tien was ahead of this in expectance. Instead Tien delivered a spinning roundhouse to the man's head anyway, which turned into a double snap kick when blocked. Gouken would suffer these into his side but they where so light he didn't care. Instead Gouken would leap into a back flip kick trying to knock Tien away.

The kick itself did in fact connect, and Tien was hurled 20 meter's out, but he landed on his palms and flipped up right, and darted back towards his master. Gouken would find he had enough time to prepare his stance this time, and as Gouken approached he would watch his master form some hand seals in one hand before he would thrust a fist forward. This caught Tien off guard as he wasn't expecting Ninjutsu! At 5 feet close, the ground under Tien would explode as a 6 foot long pill

Tsurutsuru Kobushi: Sotsuji Shindou (Sudden Impact)

Description: A technique developed to push away an opponent rather than harm them. An inexperienced user of this stance and technique will need to slide on a surface in order to gain the proper momentum. This is an open palmed strike that is aimed towards a target’s torso. The user swings his/her palm from below the targets waist or lower half. If it connects, the strike will usually send the target flying backwards. Of course, weight and other factors will need to be considered.

The next part's of training would involve a routine of more pushups, and stretching, along with some shadow boxing. This was to enable Tien's mind to absorb everything he had learned thus far. He was becoming quite the promising student for GOuken it seemed and it wouldn't be long before Tien was going to be able to handle the pressure of more advanced techniques. The thing's that would actually sway the pattern of hand to hand endeavors. However it was still necessary to learn some basic element's of the Taijutsu field, and so he thought to Teach Tien a basic technique to use in order to knock people away.

He began to explain that sometimes in combat a person may be in harm other then himself or there may be room to force someone away form a certain location. Raw brute strength could always be used to shove someone out of the way, but with practice one could learn to train them self to shove someone without actually harming the body. So Gouken demonstrated that a flat hand placed to the solar plexus or into the nook of the spine would be a very decent way to cause a person's entire mass to fly away.

Gouken took stance a few meter's away and stood with his body square, letting his arm's go slack. He told Tien to rush forward and plant a firm palm strike right at the solar plexus. He was instructed to stiffen his arm firmly and shift the entire arm forward like a pillar. In doing so Tien would be able to launch all of Gouken away. Tien took a stance a few feet away from Gouken and rushed forward. He ran fast but kept his focus on precision. Delicacy was also a factor that clung to his mind. As he neared Gouken he planted a foot ahead of his stride and launched his arm forward.

His hand hit Gouken's chest squarely and caused Gouken to fly off his feet and launch back about 5 meter's. Gouken stumbled in his steps but didn't actually fall over. He did however rub his chest as a bit of wind had been knocked from his chest. He nodded and once he gathered his footing correctly he turned around to expose his back to Tien. "Alright...and now hit me in the back like I told you!" Gouken would say as he let his arm's slack and let Tien rush in. Again Tien made a rush forward, keeping his eye on the location of hand placement.

Gouken looked over his shoulder to See Tien coming in quick. With a grunt, Tien lept a foot from the ground and thrust his palm forward again. The right hand extending he let it plant right into gouken's upper mid back. The finger's where shifted between the huge muscular divide in his back but he still managed to plant his whole fist squarely. This caused Gouken to fly forward another five meter's from off his feet again. Gouken stumbled forward until he caught himself and turned back to face Tien. He rolled his shoulder's to take off the strain from Tien's attack and then nodded in agreement. "Your getting stronger Tien...keep up the good work..."

Toripuru Dainamikku Entorii (Triple Dynamic Entry)

Description: As stated within the descriptions, the user quickly launches a Dainamikku Entorii (Dynamic Entry) to an opponent's face launching the opponent off to the distance, while the user then quickly performs a Shunshin no Jutsu, 瞬身の術, (Body Flicker Technique) to appear behind the opponent while quickly performing another Dainamikku Entorii (Dynamic Entry) against the opponent's face however launching the opponent up into the air while the user jumps up above the opponent launching a final Dainamikku Entorii (Dynamic Entry) into the opponent's face launching them down to the ground.

Next after the sudden impact technique it would be back to learning more of the goutetsu style techniques. Gouken began explaining that this technique would be a bit more advanced then the other's. It would involve the use of quick thinking and precision timing to connect a triple blow of kicks. The kicks where to begin with a dynamic kick and then a shunshin to catch up to the flying opponent. Positioning behind his back they would dynamically kick them back up into the air and leap after them. Once up in the air the user would leap after and deliver a final kick to the enemy to send them back to the ground.

This was an in depth technique that while simple in mechanics as opposed to the other Goutetsu techniques, could actually cause some serious damage if done right. Tien watched his master summon a earthen clone to demonstrate with. The clone looked pretty sturdy as it rose from the ground after some hand seals. He then walked back by about some 15 meter's to get a good distance to set thing's up. "Watch closely at every technique used and the timing...it will be a pretty quick combo!" Gouken said after a moment to glare at the clone.

The earthen clone would swirl it's hands and take up a mock defensive stance. It's hands where partly crossing it's chest region while the real Gouken would start to run forth. His speed picked up until he leaped into a dynamic kick. This would slam into the clones guard and though the blow was blocked, Tien watched the clone fly back from it's feet. Tien squinted as he watched closer, seeing Gouken disappear into a shunshin. Tien was surprised for a moment as he watched GOuken appear behind the flying clone.

WHAM!

Gouken would bound from a one footed step into another sharp dynamic kick and send the clone flying back and skyward! Tien's jaw dropped at the sight of this, and watched the clone fly airborne; bit's of dirt chipping from it's very head it seemed. From here Gouken landed on his feet and then sprung right after the clone with intensity. His body shot up and past the flying clone so that he performed a front flip at the apex and then stiffened his body into a downward dynamic kick! The timing was that the clone was kicked hard to the ground from up about 15 meter's. It shot to the ground and hit with a heavy impact bouncing off it's back. it's defense had been completely broken apart so that the impact was fully taken.

It laid still after that until it turned right back into dirt. Tien was breath taken by the aerial finesse and the general application of precision agility. Indeed this was definitely going to be a most useful technique to master Tien figured. Gouken would land on the ground lightly and summon another earth clone for Tien to work on. "I will let you practice on this earth clone because I wouldn't want you using something like this on me; your own master. As I said...this one can actually hurt someone good!" Tien nodded at this and got into his stance at about 15 meter's from the earthen clone.

The air was calm as the two stood off; Tien and the earthen clone of his master. They glared at each other without much to tell. And suddenly Tien took off. HE ran forward towards the clone with focus in his eye's again. At about 7 meter's apart Tien would leap into a sudden flying dynamic kick trying to hit the clone smack into the chest. The clone slapped Tien's foot away and delivered a hard back handed counter to his chest, sending Tien flying away.

This had somewhat taken him off guard because he imagined he would be able to land the first kick without trouble. However he had also forgotten that his master was not going to let up on him so easy. Tien rolled over the ground a few meter's away until he bounced back up to his feet. He looked at the clone who still stood with it's guard up and waiting. Rubbing dirt from his clothes Tien would run forward again. This time he got a bit closer before trying the initial kick. He got himself to within about 5 meter's close this time.

Leaping into the air at 5 meter's closeness was enough for Tien to feel confident in leaping to the enemy. He jumped into a perfect form and delivered an initial kick to the clones guard. This time the impact buckled against the clones guard so hard that it wasn't able to knock his feet away and deliver a counter. Tien didn't seem to manage to knock the clone from it's ground though. He merely caused it to slide backwards by about 3 step's. No matter...I can still get behind it! Tien figured within as he shunshined away.

He disappeared into oblivion running around the clone until he appeared behind it's back. Here he would deliver another dynamic kick to the clones back region. The clone buckled at this surprise attack and stumbled forward a bit. In doing so Tien flipped away by ten meter's and slid to a halt. HE recalled his master had launched the clone sky high during the second kick. And that's where Tien saw how much advanced this technique was then the other's he had been learning so far. He scratched his head and decided that he would have to apply more strength.

So he continued to keep practicing the two kick assault. It took a while before he even got the fluid hang of those alone. The shunshin maneuver itself was a lot to handle after a while because it would take up a good amount of stamina just to get into proper position for such a move. However after some 3 hour's of solid practice he seemed to be getting the hang of it. By then he had began to work up a heavy sweat on his upper body and was breathing pretty deeply. But he was going to master this technique today he decided! Something within his mind told him that failure was not acceptable. A yearning in his spirit that wouldn't let him fail to achieve the perfection of everything he set himself to. Something in his Kamyuja blood...

The training had gone on for a while now and things where getting pretty intense. Tien was giving it his all and was so focused on his work now that he couldn't seem to take a break even as his body was beginning to tear muscles and such. Tien continued to keep trying harder and harder however, refusing to give in to the tiredness he was beginning to feel. Even for himself training like this was a harder task to accomplish then he had thought. His bones had began to hurt and he was really trying to push forward but the harder he tried the more he seemed unable to do so.

He finally ended up standing apart with his chest heaving as the earthen clone stood apart with minor cracks and chips over it's upper body from the repeated training attempts. Tien ran a hand through his hair and stood up straight taking in a deep breather and closing his eye's. He recalled his master's perfect form and intensity at every angle. Tien could see it in his mind but replicating such a feat seemed beyond his range of comparison. His anger urged inward telling him to demolish without care, but he was beyond falling to such whim's so easily.

He took in another deep breath and let his sly looking leer open upon the clone. This time Tien zeroed in with clear sight, and he planted his feet into stance without much thought of it. His body seemed to react and he began to feel his endorphin levels regulate. His nerves dimmed down even though they shouldn't have...a trick he was able to do because of his genetic bloodline. He felt suddenly as if his pain had fallen under some sort of pain medication. HE felt his pulse within his hand's ignite, and he was ready to continue again.

HE ran forward with precision in his step, flipping forward to plant his hands on the ground before launching himself forward into a flying dynamic kick. In doing this he flew forward and pelted the clones initial guard easily. The clone would bounce from it's inital step and move backwards, but Tien would already have been gone! He had shun shined in perfect step and appeared behind the clone. The g force of exiting shunshin was intense, but only for a moment as Tien cartwheeled into another dynamic kick putting all his strength into his hands to launch the clone skyward.

"HYAAAAAAH!"


Tien shouted as his muscles flexed tightly and a glint of purple appeared in his eye's. His face turned furious in that moment as he had unleashed his chaos! A small shockwave sounded form his impacting kick and the clone buckeled before flying airborne about 10 meter's. A look of surprise was on it;s face as Tien landed on his feet into a slouching crouch from which he sprung upwards into a whirling sort of rotation. The beastly form of him twirled over the clones body; purple luminescence trailing through his bangs as he spun around and slammed a heavy foot right into the clones chest!

CR-KRICK!

The clone's body bent from the pressure of the heavy kick; spraying dust and chip's of earth from the indentation that broke chunks of it's body off. The clone flew to the ground and burst into a cloud of dust thereafter, letting Tien rise with a furious glare on his face. Tien land heavily with a light thud, as dust swirled form his alighting. He landed in a crouch; palm's on the ground as if some sort of savage. He ran a hand to his face and focused on calming down for a moment. The glowing purple in his eye's seemed to fade back to normal thereafter of 3 seconds.

"So...how was that then?" He asked his master.

Training resumed after the success of the triple dynamic kick technique was learned. Gouken decided to drop the training back to more basic techniques, however this next one was a good building block for future other advanced moves. He began to explain the technique of the leaf gale! A signature technique known by many user's and non user's of the goutetsu style! It was designed to sweep an opponent off their feet which was a good way to change the flow of taijutsu engagement's. With already a learned skill at sweeping in general physical maneuver, Tien was instructed to simply repeat the motions as Gouken showed him.

The maneuver required center balance on one foot basically and then spinning on one foot, the other extended stiffly as a full rotation was done. Tien began right away after the first few demonstrations and focused on back support and muscle flexing. It wasn't really about getting the sweep done right, it was more about getting his body to sweep in a certain way without having to think about it much. At first his sweep's where a bit shifty as if he where using his muscles more to balance rather then to propel through a static stance. He found himself falling off balance after a few good spin's.

But as he reached around 300 repetition's he began to notice his mind relax. He had learned to get used to the disorientation a sweep like this afforded and began to expand his awareness during the rotation instead. This gave him clarity to regroup his center after he rose up again. Shortly thereafter his sweeps became more stiff and fluid, resembling each previous maneuver as if it where ingrained to his body. He found he was beginning to get so used to this maneuver that he could balance without having to hold his hands out for support. He began to drop into leaf gales while flourishing his arms apart from balance.

It all became a thing of his lower body near 500 rep's. his leg muscles holding most of the support now meant almost his entire upper body was priming for free movement. Gouken watched from a distance as the change of form occurred in his student. It was about time that Tien began to learn the true nature of the goutetsu style. As training progressed from here on his body would begin to mold into a more agile shape. His rigid maneuver's from before would become stronger yet through being more fluid. He would learn to use rotational momentum to devastate opponent's!

Coming around the end of 700 rep's of sweep's Tien was now interchanging from both leg's. He would drop down and sweep with one leg first. Rising to change leg's he would drop again and sweep through once more. Each sweep seemed more and more fluid then the last until he was beginning to seem like a spinning top that undulated from standing to crouching. The very dust around his extended leg began to swirl in small gales which caused Gouken to smile. His student was truly grasping the way of the Goutetsu style!
