JAY --- MALE 94LBS 5'8" 16 YEARS CHAOTIC, EVIL FROM MIZU NO KUNI NO ALLEGIANCE TAIJUTSU(M), hachimontonkou, goutetsu, meimei NON-TAI, karinui, soulcaster MISC, gm(karinui) |
PERSONALITY
The vast majority of the simplicity that is Jay seems to be nearly completely dominated by either his apparent lack of intelligence, or his outright fearlessness. Jay's life revolves around whatever he wants. To take part in something that doesn't interest him would be an insult to his nature. Instead he'll most likely refuse. A simple "No." typically suffices, despite the distress and disorder that usually ensues. If refusal isn't an option, or his life is on the line, he may decide to simply run away.
If you had to summarize Jay in one word, it may come down to his instincts. Animalistic urges dominate his every action. Meat is a colossal motivating factor for Jay. The mere mention of any kind of meat will commonly persuade Jay to make some sort of agreement, or at least prompt him into action.
Out of all the characters that you'll ever see in the Naruto world, Jay is probably the most straightforward. He knows what he wants to be, and he knows how he feels. More often than not, he'll find himself acting on his impulses, or blurting out what's on his mind rather than just keeping it to himself. His simple-mindedness predominantly allows him to remain focused; but often times he finds himself falling for very simple traps.
Jay is a Tiger. Ahem... He looks like a Ti-... No. Jay is a.... very strange looking individual. As a young boy, he was forced into the ritual of the Karinui clan. Not only was he turned into a person made out of fabric, but his outward appearance resembles that of a stuffed orange tiger. A very fierce Tiger, as you can see from the picture above. Jay remains majorly bipedal though.
At the top of his oddly round head, Jay possesses two also curiously round ears, with tufts of white fur inside them. Slightly below a very obviously fake stripe on the top of his head, Jay hosts two very large, round expressive eyes, complete with a pair of eyebrows. Centered on his very fierce mug is a fully functional snout, fangs and everything. He can speak, and eat, among other tasks deemed impossible for a stuffed animal.
The bottom of Jay's head is adorned with a tuft of hair that extends from the lower part of his jaw to his neck, with another tuft hanging down the upper portion of his chest. The rest of his body is relatively straightforward. He doesn't appear to be particularly muscular, even though he is. His um... hands contain four digits, not including opposable thumbs; which he doesn't have, and his feet have three toes each.
As for the strangely large head in the picture, it's actually a bit smaller than that, and there's no extra fabric. He doesn't have any more fabric than a regular karinui would have. His tail also cannot perform any dexterous movements. It's only capable of a bit of wiggling, and that's it.
A young boy, born to a normal family, Jay was a happy lad. His days were filled with the thoughts of an ambitious young boy. Day after day he pondered to himself things like "ONE DAY I'LL BE THE STRONGEST!" or, "ONE DAY I'LL BE MIZUKAGE" or maybe, "WHEN I GROW UP I'M GONNA BE A MILLIONAIRE". Of course none of these ideals are unreasonable for a child to have.
But that all came to a screeching halt one day. Soon after Jay turned three, he was kidnapped. Stolen in the night for the ambitions of a selfish person. A person that determined the worth of a young Jay. A Jay that was sold to a tribe of wandering mercenaries. Quite demented mercenaries, I might add. Among the mercenaries was a member of the Karinui clan who laid claim to the inebriated slave boy named Jay.
He taught him techniques in order to sew fabric with his chakra. Useless techniques, I might add. It was all in order to make clothes for his daughter, who was spoiled completely rotten.
In order to pique the interest of his young daughter, the Karinui clansman used his knowledge as a ritualist, as well as his experience with the Karinui techniques to turn Jay into a plushy. Not just any plushy though, a tiger plushy. A very strange tiger plushy. This could only last so long though, mercenaries tend to be greedy. I'm sure you understand the lack of feasibility when it comes to a clan of mercenaries.
Just a bit after he was enslaved, Jay was released in the ruckus of the tribal war. He was a free boy! But a very disoriented free boy. He rambled astray from civilization. It's a wonder he managed to survive on his own, just a five year old boy. No matter how he tried, Jay couldn't form any coherent thoughts or phrases.
Then, at last he found his home. But not the home his parents would surely welcome him to. Jay had found his way into a tiger pen in a zoo. He was welcomed warmly by the tigers, and fed by the employees of the zoo. Perhaps the young cub was just a very... very strange looking tiger.
It was in this way, that Jay was raised by tigers. The elder tigers taught him how to live. They showed him that instead of forcing yourself into unrealistic ambitions, it's better to just do as you like. If you don't like it? Refuse! If you don't want to? Refuse! It's all better this way. But, in order to live this way, you need to be strong. If you're not strong enough, you'll be forced into doing what you don't want.
So, the tigers trained him. They trained him in their knowledge of taijutsu, and ingrained the spirit of a wild animal into his very being.
Then, on his fifteenth birthday, he got up and left. He simply thanked his family of tigers, and opened the door to the pen, through which he exited. His tiger family then proceeded to exit as well, and it became a national incident for the country, labeling Jay as a criminal, and putting his first B.I.N.G.O book bounty on his head.
Now Jay ambles as he likes. From city to city, country to country. Training, fighting, saving people, whatever happens to float his boat at the time. Maybe one day he'll find something that will give him some direction.
