Remove Affliction
Rank: "C"
Type: Restoration Ritual
Effect: User undoes a curse, enchantment, or madness that afflicts their subject.
Special: To perform: 1 hour; Duration: Instantaneous
Drawback: ---
Description: Remove Affliction wipes away a single enduring effect afflicting the subject. The ritual can remove curses, effects such as Charm or Domination, and Fear, Confusion, Insanity, Polymorph, and Petrification effects. All effects of the curse or other effect end. This ritual is physically taxing to the recipient; if used on an injured character, it can even kill them. Upon completing this ritual, make a First Aid: Healing skill check, using the Rank of the disease as a penalty to this check (+10 to Check from "C" Rank Rituals, +10 per additional Rank). The result indicates the amount of damage the target takes. Assuming the character survives, this damage can be healed normally.
User can use this ritual on an unwilling subject (usually, a former ally who is under some enemy’s influence), but the user will have to restrain someone unwilling to undergo the ritual. If the user knows that their subject is suffering from multiple enduring effects, user must choose which one this ritual will remove. Otherwise, it affects whichever one affliction the user knows about. User learns the affliction Rank when they begin the ritual, and the user can choose not to continue, without expending any components (for example, if the user determines the affliction is too powerful for them to remove).
Limit: Must be a Ritualist for Restoration Rituals. Must know Delay Affliction Ritual.
Cost: Market Price: 12,000 Ryo Performing Price: 9,000 Ryo

One day however, Noriko was privy to one of the episodes and that day was the day she lost one of her most cherished friends that she’d ever have. Emily slipped into a rage at the academy on a day that Noriko was running late and when the girl arrived at the school she witnessed the destruction that was her best friend, beating the carcass of one of the boys that used to bully Noriko. She was pounding on his head over and over again, Noriko wasn’t even sure if he was alive anymore but Emily wouldn’t stop.
Noriko stared terrified at her friend and ran out to her screaming for her to stop. She reached up behind her and embraced her friend in a hug of pleading but when Emily looked back Noriko wasn’t looking into the face of her friend she was looking at the face of the monster within, two white eyes staring back at her angry. Noriko was slammed back into a wall and her tiny body spurted up blood as Emily walked closer, frenzied.
Salvation was offered to Noriko in the form of a group of Jounin Kamyuja who placed upon her a seal and set Emily in stone, to be awakened when a cure for the rage that was Kamyuja could be found. Noriko however wasn’t going to just wait for her friend to be saved though, she wanted to be the one to save her and began her studies into medical Ninjutsu to help her friends’ recovery along, she was of course cherished as a family member to Noriko, she couldn’t just let her go.[/ul]
As a Genin Noriko met a boy named Minoru. An interesting boy, he was very strong and very... Well equipped. They went on a few missions together, the first was one where they escorted a group of children around on a trip. She wished she could say it was uneventful though some things did happen, a couple of guys attacked by Minoru was able to throw them away. The next mission they did together they were accompanied by another boy named Takeo. He was a scary boy, not like Minoru at all though no where near as strong as Minoru.
They were on a mission to move a big creature out of harms way. It was an adorable creature, so awesome! They used a donkey carrot trick to get the thing moving at one stage and it bit her but that didn't matter, as a medic she patched herself up fine and moved on. A few hunters were out to get him though the three fended them off and got the creature to safety in the end, a memory she had of this mission was that Minoru seemed to smile a lot for some reason. While she wasn't sure why he was it was nice to see he was happy.

After this mission Noriko didn't see Minoru again for a while though she was sure she would meet him again in the future. It was around the time the last mission ended that Noriko was approached by a school in the Leaf Village about a scholarship with them. They had offered to teach her more about anatomy in exchange for some help teaching some new doctors in the medical hospital. Taking them up on this offer she became very adept with the most in-depth aspects of anatomy and even took up further study in autopsy.
Drawing some attention from the Leaf Village's Criminal Forensics division from working an autopsy case she was taught a bit about the business and became familiar with Blood Spatter analysis. With all this going on she took leave from her shinobi life and became a full time student once again as she chose her study over her career at this point in time. During this time she chose to delve deep into the lore of the world. Ritualist lore became second nature to her as did chakra lore. She had a deep interest in the ritualist lore as her childhood friend was still cast in stone
She still planned on freeing her someday.
Her father soon returned from a gig across the sea and spent some time with her, her mother was quite sore that he had gone so far away. He had asked Noriko to take some time off from her study and return to a semi-active shinobi so he could teach her more of the Onigami techniques. A little reluctant at first she agreed and her father taught her more of her powers though soon he was called back to the road, his band needing him and Noriko returned to her active duty alongside her mother.
