Event: Mirrors of the Desol

A massive army tore through the land. Underneath the bright sun, those who dared to get close enough could see the tortured faces of the dead upon the advancing legion. Undead as they are, their expression changed very little.

At the front of the army, as their commanding leader, there was Festarl. He looked the part of an ordinary man, with the exception of the black wings that kept him flying high over the ground. A distance of roughly thirty meters separated him from the floor. There was a black spear in his right hand, and a curved sword in his left. Two additional swords, one short and one long, were strapped to a belt at his hips. The black spear seemed to be made of some sort of metal. There were scratches at its surface, and up close, one could see that the scratch revealed the color of silver.

At the moment, the army was tearing through a town. A great mass of the citizens had evacuated, but some refused to be chased away.

Aiding the stubborn, there were the Paladins. An advanced guard of forty white knights stood in opposition against the undead.

Felix was the commanding Paladin. He held a shining pair of gauntlets, and bashed in the skulls of all the enemies who approached.

Unfortunately, the size of the army now overwhelmed the town. It was completely surrounded.

At the town's entrance, there was currently a horde of nine.

Two mummies, perfectly preserved undead, were at the outskirt. One ghost flew overhead, about three meters above ground and slightly behind the mummies. The rest of the horde consisted of zombies, but one or two of those zombies looked a lot more stable than the rest.

Festarl was currently flying near the center of the town, roughly three hundred meters away from the horde at the entrance.

A group of three paladins and one citizen was about twenty meters ahead.

Information will be revealed over time. It can also be revealed in advance with the right skills. Certain elements can not be deciphered with skills alone.

Camus was aware of an army of a group of undead from some sort of otherworldly plane that wasn't there own. This town was the unfortunate soon to be victim of a merciless attack by said zombies. At least, if he didn't do anything about it. He would do all in his power to defend this town, as if he didn't what would stop them from knocking on his village gates. However, of course Kumogakure should be able to defend itself from half brain dead zombies regardless of number.

He had with him a map of the country, from studying the map he would know certain choke holds and etc that would aid the group to defend this town. He also had on his person 2 kunai, a mainstay of the shinobi aresenal.This useful tool provided all sorts of utility uses, its a knife, a digging tool, hell you could even throw a wig on it and call it sally. Inside of his utility belt that would be locatd on his waist he would have about 10 shuriken of the hira variation, 10 explosive pouches, 5 flash pouches, 5 smoke pouches, 10 exploding tags and a single locking tag. His attire is pretty standard for his mission here. He's wearing a dark long sleeved muscle shirt which would cover his arms. Long cargo navy blue pants with numerous utility pockets with surprisingly nothing in there. You'd think with so many pockets he would actually put things in there, however this isn't the case. On his forehead is the standard Kumogakure forehead protector, which can reflect sunlight quite brightly as he always shines it as he is quite prideful in it and a shiny forehead protector could potentially blind enemies and it also serves as a detriment from looking at his face directly. He has on a pretty standard plain hooded black jacket with a hood that shadowed over his face.


He would look up high above at the general of sorts who was leading his 'mighty' charge against this poor defenseless town. What nerve did he have to embark apon the land of lightning's lands? What utter arrogance, how dare they think they can rampage through HIS COUNTRY. This threat shall be dealt with the swiftness of lightning and they will be utterly destroyed. He looked at the measly numbers of paladins that will surely be overwhelmed if they tried to face this blight alone, however they weren't alone they had the perfect human being helping them. Hell, Camus believed he could take down their battalion on his own, it should be no problem for his absolute perfection. Zombies plagued civillians and other non ninja combatants, not a match for any competent ninja in history. What nerve this Desol had, how dare he try to challenge the might of the five great shinobi nations. He would surely be defeated. He would turn his body to where the paladin in command was, "What's our strategy for securing the safety of this town?" They were at a decent speaking range of about 10 meters apart from eachother. Perhaps not quite close enough for him to see Camus's face, he'd rather not listen to the paladin's potential difference to him as a creation.

To mine eyes the city falls, the corpses blacken, and the dead rise once more. A spirit in a body, a wraith in a suit of flesh and bone, granted undeath against their will. How ironic that man would come to control life and death, despite how much you wished for them not to, father. Gaze upon your children as they copy you so imperfectly, crafting abominations and killing their brothers and sisters with them, striking down your precious sons of Adam and daughters of Eve. Who could love garbage like this? You are a fool and so am I, for I still seek your tainted, soiled love.

Belial crested the hill that looked down upon the village, Nebiros at his side, chortling to himself; it sounded much like sheet metal flapping in fast forward. His short blond hair wafted gently in the breeze that came from the town, assailing his nostrils with the pungent stink of the dead, as well as the undead. They had a smell like rotting meat, but stewed in old cabbage for six months, while someone pour kerosene upon them and marinated them in it for weeks. The after taste of each whiff was almost more awful than the initial smell. The Y’la, Nebiros, merely licked his lips, if they could be said to have any. “I suppose there is no time like the present,” Belial exclaimed as he drew First Dawn, “I despise the undead.”

His white tunic wafted in the breeze much as his hair did, a low flapping sound being made by the fabric as it snapped, the wind picking up only slightly for a brief moment. The sun seemed to silhouette him, when looking at the right angle, as the sun tends to do. If only briefly, he stretched his golden wings to their full length of eighteen feet either way, catching the rays of sunlight, and causing the light to dance across his angelic feathers. It would seem that the man below, though no details could be seen beyond the most notable, sported a pair of wings akin to his own, only these seemed more like the raven’s wings. Retracting his wings and replacing them inside his flesh, he began to walk down the hill, boots crunching the frozen tundra earth as he made his way to the city.

A smile split his face as he gazed upon the undead, for he was before life, and he knew life in and out; even if such life were as corrupted as these meat puppets. Perfect teeth gleamed in the sunlight, white as polished ivory, and his Pre-Dawn Grey eyes took in all there was to behold. Two mummified corpses, ushered by the baser undead known as zombies, and finally chaperoned by a wraith or specter. Removed from this horde by quite a bit of distance, the puppet master himself made the strings dance, so to speak. Until he knew a name, he would call him the False Angel, for Belial knew all of the Angels in the Heavens and this man was not one of them. Forty meters before the main entrance he came to a stop, calling in to his ‘hosts’ in as arrogant a way his melodic voice could produce. “Hello there! Sorry to disturb you, but would you perhaps have time to talk about our lord and savior?” The Y’la chortled behind him. In his excitement, he willed for all of his Maledictions to come to fruition, preparing him for the battle ahead, and cloaking himself in the armor of misfortune.

He had bypassed the holy Paladin and his ilk, having no wish to deal with such a man, at least not at the moment. Perhaps when these corpses were placed back in the earth where they belonged. Others would join him soon, of course, and perhaps they would be wise enough not to get too close. He was akin to the burning flame, beautiful to gaze upon, yet deadly to the touch, and harmful to the flesh if too close. The Y'la watched them all hungrily as Belial addressed the undead hordes in his jest.

On the back of a massive fowl she rode, the avian silent as they coasted along the winds like airborne assassins. On the back of this venator was her Rifle bow, Gargantuan clip with 2 slots of Boreworm arrows on its rack, razor fletched, a stabilizer attached for further distance capability by 10%. It weight 200lbs draw. It was already loaded with a broad tip razor fletched arrow. On her left hip a pistol bow 60lbs, loaded with a single standard bolt. A 40lb standard recurve bow, loaded with a boreworm arrowhead bolt. Her hip quiver have another 5 1/2 slots of bolts inside. On her eyes were a pair of Thermal, night vision, times fifteen magnification. Of those 5 1/2 slots of bolts 1 slot have tipped with sting tips, one slot with 2 with Matakusi bolts tips and the rest of her broad tips applied to the slot. Leaving roughly 1 1/2 slots of regular bolts. In hindsight she was actually approaching the sun board side, 200 meters in the air, 180 meters off from the main demon which would, logically place her maybe 160 meters from the horde. Her zooming vision activated. "Sick." She mumbled, the undead swarming the city, the screams didnt reach her so far up but she had a front row seat to the carnage. It was surreal to be watching this silent horror movie, people being overrun, chewed upon if they were unlucky...a part of her wished she had her group with her. Wait...she was perfectly capable, she didn't need there for.. "Holy shit..." She was so busy with the horde she didn't see the singular man with the wings, flying, just like her, but she was far far out of the natural and even the more advanced sight range. She would have to take him down, and fast. "Who even are you?" She whispered aloud to herself, looking how over long and hard, her eyes moving back to the village. There were two anomalies walking up. Randoms. One of them looked...gorgeous...oh god...so distracted she missed the majority of the wings being retracted, the ripple of his back the only potential give away. No time for assumptions though. She focused on the undead swarm, her somewhat untrained eyes attempting to discern more form them besides being a bunch of... "Filthy skin husks...you wont make it to my country." She didn't even see the paladins in the city, or what was left of it. A few of the paladins outside the town looked up when they saw new faces. It seemed cavalry had arrived, though few in number. One of the blond paladins walked over to greet Camus.

"The leader is the one in the air," said the blond. "The man with the black wings. If we take him down, the army loses its leadership, so they'll be much easier to take down."

Belial's greeting drew the attention of the paladins out front. Their eyes narrowed as they processed the tone and content of the man's words.

"Do not take this lightly," said the tallest paladin. "Our enemies are not something to joke about! This army has the potential to overrun the world if we don't stop them here and now!"

Naturally, the paladins didn't know that Belial was going to ignore them. When the divine man strolled by, the paladins looked at the back of his head with scornful stares.

One of the sturdier zombies faced Belial as he approached. Caesar the Absolute Zombie was a chubby fellow, who towered over the rest of the nearby undead. He was easily seven feet fall, and his weight could possibly be more than a few hundred.

Belial was able to figure out that Caesar was about as strong as him, in terms of class.

From her height in the air, the young Venator was unable to make out enough details to define the ability of any creature down below. However, she was able to bypass anything she wanted and go directly for the man with the black wings, if that was her desire.

She had a bit more luck with finding out about the type of enemy that made up the army. Although her knowledge revealed nothing about the Festarl.

The army was filled with all sort of undead. It was reasonable to assume that most of them had undead characteristics.

Hunch, enemy sub-type:
Undead are once-living creatures animated by spiritual or supernatural forces.
Traits: An undead has the basic following features.

-Immunity to all mind-affecting (Charm Perception, Compulsions Perception, Morale effects, Pattern Perception, Phantasm Perception.)
-Immunity to bleed, disease, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning attacks.
-Not subject to movement damage, handseal damage, and chakra drain, as well as exhaustion and fatigue effects.
-Not at risk of death from massive damage. Must be completely destroyed to ensure of no usage.
-Undead do not breathe, eat, or sleep.

[Camus Comprix]

With the arrival of the other one who surely was on the same quest as him. He had a certain dark presence about him, it was weird he couldn't quite place his finger on what his aura was. He would close his eyes for a split moment and reopen them with a two tomoe sharingan active, he looked at the flow of chakra within the man that was flying seeing if he can discern any information from that. Probably not, but however with the information that he gathered from the paladin, the man flying is the head honcho of these undead if he were to be defeated the rest could be easily dealt with. The paladin pointed out the man clearly, despite him being far away he can be seen if vaguely because of the relatively clear sky and low buildings. He's the only thing in the sky besides the other flying creatures that obviously weren't him for reason or another.

It was now his time to move, flying through 20 handseals, reducing the original number of 30 by a third. These handseals and a sizable amount of chakra allows him to vibrate into non-existence his presence being completely hidden from any form of sense. He then runs towards the thunder boss with full intent to kill from the shadows, creating a chakra blade in his left hand that would eventually penetrate the thunder boss. 300 meters easily cleared through as he made sure the sword didn't leave his sphere of invisbility. He would also make sure he didn't make any interaction with any creature but the boss who was the receiving end of his attack. His path clear and true. A single goal in mind, the quick and easy death of the commander of this army for his actions required one punishment; death. The chakra blade was always a signature technique of his ever since he had learned it, and it acts as if it were a S-rank technique in strength rather than what it was an A-rank. The blade was just as invisible as he was for the moment, as soon as it would extend past 10 feet and leave his realm of personal influence it would become visible once more. While it being his signature technique he also refined his art of it and is able to penetrate defenses with the strength of a B-Rank.

Stopping directly under the thunder boss's current position where he was flying approx 20 meters high and aiming the chakra blade skyward cocked a bit towards the boss's location pushing chakra into it extending it with the intent to impale through the boss's body. Aiming to go directly through his body starting from the waist and through his head a clean but violent execution. He would also send the chakra blade 2 extra meters through him just to be safe. Be it that it may that somehow this wouldn't kill him as they were dealing with the undead here, he would surely be in an precarious situation as he would be impaled through the body. The blade would travel at glistening speeds of approximately 25 meters per second giving the unholy creature little time to react, as if he could react from an attack from an essentially non existent foe. The blade would even be near invisible unless he had direct sight of the source as the bright sun/dark opaque night would mask the blade within its light or darkness. (Not sure if it's day or night.) The chakra blade wasn't quite bright. If he somehow had enough time to recognize the attack and form a coherent thought in time to avoid the attack. Of course, he literally had 0.7ths of a second to react to Camus's attack, this being very little time a response of any type should be nearly impossible. If somehow he did respond with a dodge of some sort Camus would show his proficiency with this technique tree and have the chakra blade follow the boss to his current location where it would then surely impale him, traveling at a speed of 25 meters a second.

If the blade pierces his flesh true, Camus quickly retracts the blade to his level with the commander on it still. Not even the zombies he ran past could even form a response unless they were looking directly at their commander whilst he was flying. Of course in the destruction that they were causing they could potentially be more focused in their carnage rather than their commander. This should be a clean and easy course of events, if not a bit anticlimactic, one would expect the boss to go down with more of a fight. This being not the case as a ninja with the ninja way " Be Prepared. Be Proficient. Be Efficient. " would rather things be done. If his line of events were successful the zombies would be left leaderless and that would allow him to show the rest of his arsenal to utterly annihilate the remaining zombies. Death by fire.

The user is able to increase the strength of the technique by continuing to train into the technique. [I’d never used a skill in a thread before, so I wasn’t exactly sure how that would go down. Same with the supplements, which I assumed weren’t exactly techs like Nin/Gen/Tai/Juin and could still be used despite use of ‘handseals’. Now I know.

As for the Know Ability, I wanna know the fat zombie’s abilities. I’m using the 1 round eyeballing method, which I believe puts the difficulty check up to max. All supplements listed last round that required ‘handseals’ will activate on this post instead, simply because I didn’t know and it was too late for me to delete it, since Claire posted before I knew I couldn’t do that.

Spirit Lore, I assume the Undead fall into this category. For this, I would like to know just how potent my Soulcaster techs would affect them. I know it attacks their Life Thread, the thing that is binding their Spirit to the Body, but would that constitute as complete destruction if I sever that via damage?

Observation I’m just looking over the Fat Zombie’s body to see if he has any weakpoints, like a limp, or a loose limb or something. He’s sturdy, but he’s still a zombie.

I’m not sure if I do my own rolls for attacks and stuff. Lol.]

Before him stood a massive, hulking, bulbous undead at a full seven feet in height, perhaps more. There was no doubt that this brute of a corpse outweighed him by at least a hundred pounds, but it was probably much more, judging by those Pillsbury rolls on its body. Necromancy. These filthy humans played with the bodies of their own dead, too foolish to realize that they created demons by doing so, and that each of the undead souls they tormented bolstered the ranks of Hell. An audible hiss escaped Belial’s lips as he gazed upon the creature some thirty meters from him. They watched each other for a moment as Belial continued his approach slowly. The Fallen Angel extended a hand, his Pre-Dawn grey eyes blazing with soul energy for a moment, and then a blast escaped his arm, speeding toward the hulk in a manner that was instantaneous, faster than the blink of an eye or the passing of a thought.

A bridge between their souls would open, yet even though it was a bridge, it was a bridge only Belial could access. A river of raw damage directed at the soul, draining the soul energy of the Undead’s spiritual/supernatural tether, and pulling that raw spirit that was flayed from the tether into his own body. While this was a drain, it was not Chakra that he drained, nor Stamina, but the direct life essence that allowed this disgusting perversion life. He would use this filth to bolster his own body, filling himself with its unnatural essence, and thus making him much more powerful than before. Perhaps this would down the creature, but from what Belial could tell, it was as powerful as he was in terms of bodily strength. Would be harder than it looked. Perhaps he should take some of those Paladin to flesh out his ranks? He mulled the thought over in his mind while he watched what occurred to Caesar, the infinitely fat zombie.

Undead. Their shambling gait and their endless hunger was only a small spectrum of their fearsome visage. She knew, as a bowman, she would have issues dealing with the horde. Best to let the paladins and that one gorgeous man down there deal with it. he wanted to see what the big guy was all about. From so far out it was unlikely anyone saw her and as her bird began to fly silently she clicked her tongue to signal Krogger to drift back at least 20 meters. It was then she whipped forward her massive Rifle bow with practiced ease, taking no movements to rest and aim her bow. But it was the focus that took time, her eyes beginning to glow a bright and holy light, calculating everything, seeing through the air and forseeing a clear path for an extra 16 meters of distance on her shot. Her finger touched the loaded bolt of her rifle, the bolt rack, imbuing them with the holy righteousness of Greater Bane, the divine powers given to only the most stalwart of the faith. Designating humanoids for her bane, as an educated guess, if it was the correct sub type for the demon it would bypass any damage reduction and deal a solid 20 points of armor damage. If not then the bane effect simply nulled and would have to be swapped around. However the power of her arrow loosed at excess speeds of 300 mph with her rifle bow would likely strike any target 200 meters away without them even knowing where it even came from. To add onto it the bolt she had loaded was Razor fletched, adding on 10 meters to her distance, adding up to a whopping 226 meters, the stablizer of the rifle added 10% for 248 meters. On top of it all she was aiming for the front of nasal cavity, the bridge of the nose, enough force to, logically, break the neck, shatter the facial structure and maybe even remove the head entirely. The force of the arrow could slam the demon back a full 20 meters and he would still be in her range. That was fearsome. As an added feature her shadow stalker abilities allowed her to indentify an area her arrow could penetrate for an additional 36 points of armor damage. So she aimed...breathed...aimed...a full on second going by, calculating wind, distance, bolt weight, then....*Thock* The arrow was released. Tearing through the air at 306 mph, the broad tip point of the arrow adding the possibility of bleed out from a wide severing wound. 248 meters. 9 rounds of judgement. 7 rounds of greater Bane. A potential 56 armor points of damage, if not the correct Bane choice then 36 points. This demon would have absolutely no idea what hit him, and from her elevation over him, a twenty meter knock back would nearly plow him into the ground, grinding him into his own army. This was all a smoothly executed 3 second ordeal from 200 meters away. The moment the arrmow loosed she dug her heel into the side of Krogger and he dove towards the ground, descending 60 meters over the course of the last three seconds. She was aiming to sit atop the tallest sand dune. Assuming this didn't kill the demon, he was going to have a hell of a time with her. The shot of this arrow would simply be calculated for the potential shift in position from the demon, anything drastic up to 6-12 meters. Anything greater the shot would simply be readjusted, this bolt was sure to find its mark. Techs + Passives Passives active from here on. Judgement: 9 Rounds Greater Bane: 7 Rounds Armor Damage: 20 + Potential 36 + whatever the rank is for the bolt shot naturally. Description: The user is able to launch their projectile with such fierceness that when it hits the opponent it knocks the opponent back into the distance. This technique may be used to knock down other opponents as well or lure other opponents out if the time is needed. Camus had no problem sneaking into the town with the invisibility he granted himself.

However, six seconds weren't enough to cross the distance of over three hundred meters that separated Camus from Festarl. Especially since he needed to take the time to cast his invisibility before starting to bypass the undead.

For now, Camus could advance with this chakra blades drawn.

Caesar began putting together handseals.

As the zombie did so, it was struck by the energy drain effect of Belial's soul technique. The effect didn't do anything to Caesar's handseals, but its physical and mental strengths were sapped.

Still, upon completing the handseals, Caesar began to grow in size.

In typical zombie stupidity, Caesar crushed and destroyed the mummies and basic zombies as it increased in size.

The ghost was unaffected, since it appeared to be incorporeal.

Fugato, the other absolute zombie, was also less stupid to the point where he managed to dodge Caesar's destructive size growth.

Caesar became ten times its normal size, making it a colossal creature.

The massive zombie lifted its left leg as it looked down at Belial. It lets its foot fall to the ground as a powerful stomp, capable of decimating metal weapons. It intended to crush the divine man beneath its heel.

If the stomp didn't work, then with its left foot anchored in the ground, Caesar then stepped forward and let its right foot swing ahead as a frontal kick. The tip of the zombie's toes rushed towards either Belial, or the paladins if Belial wasn't in sight. Anything that collided with the kicking foot was bound to be launched roughly twenty meters away.

With palms the size of a fully grown teenager, Caesar knelt down and began to strike anything it saw, like it was crushing insects.

For the remaining seconds, sixteen palm strikes were thrust downwards. Belial was the primary target. Caesar continued his massive striking assaults until it either killed Belial, or completely lost track of the man in all the dust being kicked up by the impact forces. The palm strikes carried enough force to send whatever it hit nearly ten meters into the distance, though that was most likely just going to stop at the ground.

Throughout all of this, Belial could understand that Caesar was a taijutsu master with a classification that fell under 'A'. He also knew now that Caesar was killed by something that pierced through its chest, right above the heart. There was a big bloody crater in its chest.

Energy Drained

A condition that saps a living target's vital energy and happens automatically when connected. An affected opponent takes -1 penalty on Movements, and Saves while taking a x5 penalty to Handseals, Skills, and Damage. (Example: A Character takes a 2 point Energy Drain. Target loses 2 Movements, 2 Points in Saves, and 10 Points in Handseals, Skills, and all Damage.) Energy Drain remains until 24 hours have passed or until they are removed with a Jutsu.

Undead type grants movement and handseal damage immunity. Saves, skills and damage affected.

The crossbow bolt struck true.

Claire succeeded.

Festarl's head swung back from the force of the shot. He was indeed a humanoid, so extra damage was taken.

The black winged man fell down to earth as he stopped flapping his wings. He landed in the middle of a mass of useless zombies.

There, Festral lay motionless.

But, even with a bolt that went into his nose and out the back of his neck, Festarl's head was smiling. He was still living.

While motionless upon the ground, the spirit within the Jashin body began to let its soul surge. Festarl let himself step outside the bounds of time, so that he may gaze into the future. Since he took residence inside the Jashin's body, the effect was extended to the borrowed physical form.

At Festarl's mental command, one of the nameless basic zombies knelt down with its palms on the ground. It became a makeshift undead bench.

Then Festarl stood. His possessed Jashin body was wounded, but that wasn't enough to kill the Jashin. It was doubtful that anything could kill the Jashin.

Festarl sat on the makeshift bench as he pulled the bolt out of its head. There was a fair amount of blood spatter that came out with the bolt, but pain was not so great an enemy to a Jashin body.

While Festarl sat, he waved his arms around, causing every living thing within 10 meters to take moderate soul damage. In return, he was gradually healed. The damage from the bolt was insignificant, but still not something to leave untouched as he was being attacked.

Physical Immortality
Sorcery: Trail of Acceptance

Effects: The full embody acceptance of the Jashin fate. This ritual allows the user to not die by conventional means, allowing them to become immortal. This means a user would not bleed to death, their head may be severed but will not die, endure deadly blows but never pass on.
Special: User must sacrifice three bodies of importance. This could be a family, or three types of a same kind such as three people with a bloodlimit, three children, three females, or three males. User must have had performed Sorcery: Trail of Pleasure.
Description: The Ritual starts with taking three bodies of same kind. This could be three bodies of a Bloodlimit, Three Children, Three Male of same age, or Three Female of same age. The three bodies are placed in a triangle with the bodies going counter clockwise with the heads. The bodies must be two feet away from one another along the feet. The person undertaking the ritualistic effect will be lying down in the middle of the triangle with the feet along a point, and the head near a flat end of a body. When the ritual is first performed, a Jashin Member takes a hold of a Jashin Gishiki Nagayari (Evil God Ritual Pike) and quickly stabs into the heart of the Ritual sacrifice. The three Sacrifices must be alive for this as three Jashin Gishiki Nagayari (Evil God Ritual Pike) are also stabbed into their hearts as well.
Drawback: Immortality means they one cannot die, but they are not invulnerable. In order to keep the effects of given to them by the gods of Jashin using the ritual of Trail of Acceptance a user must perform Tanoshii Jukei (Enjoyable Punishment) onto themselves after every battle. The one having the ritual done to them is incapable of performing anything at all for an amount of three days. Three Jashin Members come sitting on their knees in front of a sacrifice. Each member then begins to perform the Sorcery: Jashin Fugou (Evil God Symbol) by creating the seal around the sacrifice's body and by performing the Sorcery: Gift of Acceptance technique. The three members then begin to teach the sacrifice Sorcery: Jashin Fugou (Evil God Symbol) Knowledge, and Sorcery: Gift of Acceptance as the Sacrifice goes through pain, and torture. The Sorcery: Gift of Acceptance then turns the body into a undead form, allowing the human conciousness to survive even if the body fails. This allows the mind of the Jashin member to survive against such things as decapitation and fatal wounds. A Jashin member must remember however, this must be performed each time after a Jashin member takes damage within a battle. After the first time performed, it takes an amount of twelve hours to perform in order to keep the body in such a state or else the human body will simply pass on and the Jashin member will no longer survive.
Placement Requirements: Those performing the Ritual must know Performance of Acceptance, three Jashin Members must know Gift of Acceptance, and must hold the Necronomicon. The users must do this within a quiet room. Must have had Sorcery: Trail of Pleasure performed three days before.

Description: Target is 1 Creature. Range is Personal or Touch. Duration is 5 minutes per Class Level. This technique grants the user a powerful "sixth sense" in relation to themselves or another. Once this technique is performed they receive instantaneous warnings of impending danger or harm to the subject of the technique. the technique gives the user a general idea of what action they might take to best protect themselves unless the opponent is restricted from movement. When another target is the subject of the technique the user will receive warnings about the target. The user must communicate what they have learned to the target for the warning in order for it to be useful, and the target can be caught unprepared in the absence of such a warning. The target must also be within the same "Thread" as the user in order for this technique to work. At first the user may only have this performed one at a time, however if the user continues to further train into the technique they may increase the number per time of learning. If the user learns the continuous training 4 times they are able perform this technique on a total of 5 targets including themselves.

[Camus Comprix]

Camus had made a severe mistake in his course of actions, he had underestimated the distance between him and his target. Heavily so, whatever caused him to think he could gap that distance in whatever small time window he had completely left him. However, at this moment, an arrow suddenly pierced its head.He wasn't able to execute his attack at all, there was simply too much ground for him to cover to attempt to make the attack. The blade was at his side and didn't extend at all as he wasn't in position to do so. There was blood galore, his head exploded in a brilliant rainbow of blood. He despised the sight of blood. He felt some sort of joy at the sight of blood? This was his first brush with death. No, he seen death many many times before. He knew that these were all true, but at the same time wasn't. He shook his head, this wasn't the time to dwell on this. Perhaps another time he could reinforce the mental bridges he had been able to make. This was over right? Then something truly despicable happened. He was smiling. A smile was dead right on the center of his face. He simply shurgged it off with a grin, even pulling the bolt out from his used to be fragmented face. Then regenerating his entire face, what used to be a shower of blood as a bolt had made its way clean through it was his face again perfectly fine. These were immortals they were dealing with here, perhaps a tiny part of him thought he couldn't quite face this; perhaps he should run away and leave these freaks of nature be. No, he was a greater freak of nature. So what if he could regenerate his face, could he survive being burnt to a crisp completely? Did this immortality he had grant him some sort of immunity to fire? Perhaps there was another option; genjutsu. Force him to bow to his own will. He was delving into quite unknown territory here. It'd probably be better to change his strategy from any sort of 'real' attack to mental. He allows the chakra blade to dissipate, another strategy in mind. Of course during this inner monologue he didn't stop in his quest to get in range of the boss, he's still in motion attempting to get within range of the head honcho of the zombies. He would attempt to get 60 meters away from the boss. The ninja of cloud would continue towards him carefully, making sure he didn't reveal himself by bumping into any undead creatures.

[Coal]

The fat zombie was not downed with his ray, as he had suspected, although now he felt full of energy and life force. Still, the chubby zombie put together handseals with a dexterity that a zombie should not possess, being a corpse, and managed to pull off the use of this world’s energy source; known as chakra. So many impossibilities becoming reality here in Purgatory. An impressed whistle escaped Belial’s lips as he watched what transpired before him, his gaze moving up with the growth of the zombie, until it was at its full seventy feet in height. The other zombies, save for that other stronger creation, were crushed beneath the infinite growth of rolls that the overweight zombie produced. Belial had to stifle a laugh. Yet, even as the massive zombie lifted its bloated leg to crush him beneath its heel, Belial was already prepared to move, simply taking a single step forward and then ceasing to exist in that spot completely.

The soul in Belial’s Angelic body left the vessel beforehand, racing forward and further into the city, to a maximum of ten meters forward and to the right. Invisible it waited no time to snap the body in which it was housed the distance, reuniting the spirit with the flesh. Belial looked back over his shoulder as the enormous blob of a zombie rampaged behind him, striking down the paladin that it saw. Unfortunate for them, but they were the perfect distraction for the time being. He allowed himself that chuckle now as the paladin lives ended, their souls rushing to meet whatever god they worshipped. Golden wings unfurled from his back and he took flight, eyes peeled for where the ghost himself had gotten off to, as it had been there at the front lines. He was sure he would know soon enough. Instead, he aimed himself toward the black winged immortal, who took pleasure in his showmanship, or so it seemed. Almost a shame to kill someone like that.

Flight was much faster than walking, thus Belial expected to cover more distance now that he was airborne. First he traveled at a diagonal, simultaneously going forward and up, until he reached an altitude of thirty meters from the ground. Once high enough to clear the buildings, he leveled out, heading toward the black winged immortal. All the while, he continued to keep his eyes open for the ghost as well, as it could be anywhere. He had lost sight of it when the zombie became the colossal mass of flesh it was now. To be safe, Belial bolstered his defenses, along with granting himself a little power. The former required but a thought and he felt the power radiate from his soul, making his very flesh stronger by way of it. (+5 DR). The latter however required his hands to dance in the way human hands might, forming those seals based off various animals, all of which had nothing to do with true power; save for perhaps the dragon. Yet they worked in manipulating the aether and his mind became much sharper, focusing to a fine point, and he knew he was more powerful now in the arts. (+3 to all user Jutsu DC).

Should he find the Ghost, he would attempt to glean the information of what it can possibly do, as he has never encountered such a creation before. How was it possible that there was even a ghost here in Purgatory? Perhaps this was not the place he imagined it was, having never been here himself. Gad'reel should be here and he should find him, once this is all over.

"Too damn easy." Undead or not, a shot to the face like that would down Lucifer himself, smug bastard. "ad here those smucks at the academy said this would be hard. Piece of ca----woah." A flitter of disbelief screwed up her features, erasing her cocky grin. Not only did the demon sit up, smile, fucking smile at the bolt, but then it wrenched it loose and tossed it to the side. "COME. ON." She screamed, looking down to the massive mummy that just grew to twice, three, four times it's size. When she swept her eyes past this horde before hadn't there been something else? something floating? A ghoul of some soft? Whatever. She did a made scramble across the sand, stopped after 6 meters, dropped the Rifle bow and whipped out the Recurve bow in one swift movement. Her eye went to the scope, still glowing with a holy light. A standard bolt was wedged into this one, razor fletched, no point in wasting the good one. The bane affliction on her ammo went from Humanoid to Undead, an extra 20 damage if applicable and she aimed all the way down range, Krogger coasting bast at the position she scrambled from, the Eternal Hover Technique keeping him at the ready. She took a breath and focused at her position of 170 meters away from the mummy, her distance applications added up. 150 meters, ten for the shaft, 16 for the Alacrity. 176 meters....*Thock* in a flurry her hands were in motion, another bolt, razor fletched, boreworm head, aimed down range at the mummy again....*Thock*. The first bolt was aimed from the dominant knee, and the second bolt for the head, her eyes looking around for the ghostly thing that had made an appearance with the fat mummy. The force of those two bolt would be able to send most beings rag dolling for 20 meters and just a breath apart the able of those impact could cause some serious damage. For a moment, just a flicker of a moment, doubt ran through the Venators mind. maybe she was biting off more than she could chew...there was a flash of gold and she flipped her eyes to the man she had seen earlier. His wings. "..." there we're angels on the battlefield, the world wasn't alone to fight this problem by themselves. Seriously though...where did that ghost go? The deeper into the town a person got, the more it became thick with undead and combat. It was difficult to waddle through it on foot, if one didn't intend to catch the attention of any undead.

There was no straight line that Camus was able to run in, nor could he cover the remaining distance even if he were able to run in a straight line. For now, he simply advanced. It would take roughly another four rounds of travel to make it within sixty meters of Festarl. The distance between them was more than two hundred and twenty meters.

Right before Belial took flight, he was able to notice the ghost fading underground. It used its incorporeal abilities to get out of sight, safe in the dark embrace of the earth.

Fugato, the absolute zombie that avoided being crushed by Caesar, noticed Belial flying into the city. He began to perform numerous handseals as he watched the man fly away.

At the speed Belial traveled in, it would take a while to reach Festarl. Five rounds was the estimate to get in melee range, if Festarl didn't move closer.

The ghost that retreated underground also performed some handseals. Although it used a shorter string of handseals, the technique it activated was much more powerful than what Fugato was performing. The ghost, Merva, allowed a grand veil to cloak the town. Any undead within three hundred meters of Merva was caught in the effects.

Before everyone's eyes, the undead creatures of the town took the shape of living humans.

They took the shape of paladins, knights coated in sparkling white armor.

The actual paladins became confused as their enemies took the appearance of allies.

Felix was able to recognize the illusion, and thus he managed to dispel the effect from his mind.

However, many of the other paladins were now being struck down in the confusion. They had no clue who to fight.

Since he wasn't an undead creature, Festarl wasn't affected by the illusion. He still looked exactly the same.

Fugato, now disguised as a paladin, finished his handseals and summoned wind chakra into his arms. He let his arms circle around as the energy intensified.

Fugato breathed in, then expelled a torrent of cutting winds toward Belial's back. The wind casting zombie wished to tear the winged man apart. Though there was minor resemblance between Belial and Festarl, Fugato knew to strike the one who wasn't his master.

The torrent was wind was capable of cutting through stone and steel. If it wasn't dodged, it was likely to be fatal.

After letting the wind blast out, Fugato ran after Belial. It didn't want to get out of range until Belial fell dead.

To aid in going after Belial, Fugato performed a shorter set of handseals. Upon completion, Fugato formed a ball of air to ride upon as it chased. The ball kept it balanced on top, and Fugato used it to ride along the walls of the passing buildings so that it could avoid crashing into its fellow undead.

Merva was already capable of flight. In fact, it was flying underground, right toward Festarl. However, it still granted itself a pair of wings to augment its maneuverability. When the wings were completed, Merva found its travels boosted significantly as it flew toward its master. The ghost was still underground, but moving quickly.

Effect: Creates a powerful line of forceful air currents towards a singular target.

Drawback: Unlike Daitoppa, which has a great general area of attack, Untun Heki only strikes an area of five meters in width.
Description: A technique of unsurpassed cutting power within the Wind Release, Untun Heki is performed by making the correct hand seals and then channeling their chakra through their arms. Bringing them both up to face their target, the user's hands will form a large circle. Then, bringing the hands up to the mouth, and the user will take a large breath. Chakra running through the body and through the hands, the user will then release this breath, creating a gargantuan straight-line attack that is capable of extending forward eighty meters. The width of the attack is small, perhaps only five meters in width. The speed of the attack makes it very difficult to dodge, and the cutting power of such pressured and speedy winds is difficult to match within the Wind Release, easily cutting through both stone and steel.

Effect: Creates a ball of air about the size of a beach ball. It does no damage but is useful for sitting on and escaping from a dangerous situation quickly. This ball is also handy as while riding it you can ride up walls, ceilings, water, hot ground and cold ground without harm.

Drawback: Really None
Description: The user quickly performs the simple handseals, horse then serpent then extends there hand under them palm extended as almost instantaneously, air forms into a ball under them. They can then sit on the ball and scoot away quickly or ride it across hostile terrain or up steep cliffs.
Limit: Must have Wind Release. The ball continues to use chakra as long as it remains active but only a small amount, two points of chakra per turn.

Caesar, now disguised as a giant paladin, looked around for more enemies.

To its great annoyance, Caesar was suddenly struck in its knee. It began to fall.

Another bolt hit Caesar right in the face, ensuring that the gigantic zombie fell over on its back.

Caesar roared, determined to counterattack. However, it had no idea where the attack came from. For now, the gigantic monster stayed toppled on its back.

Festarl watched as its army became a gigantic legion of paladins.

The commander looked down at the zombie he was sitting on. The bench zombie had also become a paladin, and the metal armor felt real.

The paladins weren't attacking Festarl, and he was quite aware of the deceptive abilities of his ghosts. In reply, he let the soul energy within its body surge even further.

Seeing the future was not enough. Festarl intended to see all that it could, beyond the realm of deception.

Festarl's eyes opened up, immune to the manipulative visions surrounding it. The undead returned to looking like undead in his eyes.

In addition to that, with another surge of soul, Festarl's mind also guarded itself from illusions outside of those relating to sight. Trickery through chakra had no holds left to oppose him. Upon completing his most powerful soul guardian powers, he looked towards one of his advancing enemies, the other winged man in the battlefield.

The black spear and curved sword were still in Festarl's possession. He grasped his weapons and held them up, ready to face any who challenged him. The spear remained in his right hand, and the curved sword was still in his left.

Festarl strolled forward. He wasn't in a rush, and didn't intend to tire himself out. His body was immortal, but an immortal body still had a limit of how much it could accomplish.

Still, whenever there was an opening in the sea of paladins and undead, Festarl suddenly advanced an instant ten meters. Three openings were spotted, so three quick dashes were used. Paired with his stroll, the commander advanced an extra thirty-five meters.

Depending on how fast they traveled and how well they avoided obstacles, it was likely that Festarl would soon be less than two hundred meters away from his opponents.

Description: User is able to move forward in a straight line along the ground in almost instantaneous untraceable speed while temporarily masking the user's movements within 10 meters. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by focusing the user's chi along the ankles and foot. User mostly moves just with their ankles and feet. Jutsu takes up no movements. User may only use this Jutsu half of the movements may allow in a single round while rounding down. Camus would simply continue his movements towards the boss. His mind set and true on his quest. Seeing the boss move forward would put him closer to him which would make his travel time shorter.

[Coal]

The city was clogged with the festered undead, shambling bags of meat and bone, reanimated to do vile deeds upon the living and feast upon their flesh to bolster their flock. The shepherd was ahead, strolling along through the procession of unlife, almost as if a Sunday afternoon sun tickled his fancy, although it was most definitely merely Thursday and he had no right. His thoughts were torn away as the sounds of something ripping, like sheet metal, rippled through the air behind him. Fortunately he had been keeping an eye out for the ghost, which played a major role in his actions currently. The other zombie, sturdier than most, had fired some kind of tornado in his direction, and it was speeding toward him at an impossible speed. It was not instantaneous however, but Belial could be so. With merely a thought, he was ten meters lower, landing atop one of the still intact city structures, and folding his wings behind him while sheathing First Dawn.

The zombie was coming on fast, but there was still time, and Belial would certainly deal with him in a moment. First, however, he could use a bit of a pick me up after using some soul energy. Both hands raised, as if asking for something of the gods, palms toward the heavens as a halo of light invisible to the normal eye took form behind him. The world glowed white below him, illuminating the clogged streets, which seemed full of the living and the dead. Or perhaps just the dead, though they seemed living now. It wouldn’t matter. Five meters in all directions did the light spread upon the ground, unhindered by structures, draining the life force or soul energy from those within. However many bodies could fit within each five meter space in the streets to the left and right of the building, he would drain them of their force, adding it to his own. He could feel the immense power course through is very soul.

Belial stood angled, keeping Festarl in his peripheral vision, as well as keeping an eye on Fugato as he progressed forward. He would attempt to glean more information about the creature so determined to see him destroyed; beyond the ability to control the winds. It would not be long now before a final duel, but he hoped to strike down this other zombie before it came to that, simply for convenience sake. Already he prepared his next move in his mind, several contingencies to follow, should initial plans go awry. These beings would feel his power yet.

With a silent beat of its wings Krogger cut a hard right, swooped around and snatched her up, flying low to the ground and preforming a smooth corkscrew, flipping Claire back into her saddle. Too many shots from one direction would alert them to her presence. She took this time to let krogger carry her for fifty meters, prepared to dump her upon command. Burrowing Mounts: If the rider is underground, they can wait in front of the mount raising up their arms. As the mount digs past them they'll take hold of the Rider and the Rider swoops up around the mount's body to re-saddle. Swimming Mounts: If the Rider is in the water they will extend their hand out. The mount swims past the Rider's side as the Rider takes hold of the mount. Pushing up the Rider flip up and onto the mount's saddle. Climbing Mounts: If the Rider is on the part where the mount is climbing they will jump off of the surface up or down onto the saddle for a simple remount. Numerous paladins collapsed as they were caught in the light of Belial's draining effect. Three paladins were lucky, and resisted the draining effect.

The thirty-seven affected paladins were quickly killed by undead during their moment of weakness. The three paladins who resisted the effect were also promptly killed when they found themselves outnumbered.

Belial successfully disbelieved the paladin disguises of the undead. Although they currently still appeared like paladins to him, he knew they were still the undead creatures.

At a glance, Belial only knew that Fugato could use wind release techniques. No other abilities could be defined without looking for more specific features.

Fugato lost sight of Belial for a brief moment. When it regained vision, it jumped off its ball of spinning air and landed on the ground.

The absolute zombie performed half a dozen handseals, then pushed its arms out in front of itself.

A grand eighty-meter long cone of wind burst forward from in front of Fugato. It had the force to blow back everything lighter than eight hundred pounds. It wasn't harmful on its own, but the bodies of paladins and undead were sure to be picked up and hurled at Belial.

Defending against a horde of undead while being blasted back by wind was probably not an ideal situation for a person to be caught in.

Effect: Creates a cone of pressurized air that extends from the user's hands.

Drawback: The strength of the crescent is dependent completely upon the user's rank of this technique. Has little offensive capability besides potentially knocking an opponent away from the user.
Description: A Ninjutsu technique that utilizes the Wind Release. Performing the correct handseals, the user will channel chakra throughout their arms. This chakra begins to quickly wrap itself around the user's arms, mingling with the flowing currents of air around the user. Then, extending their arms forward, the user will perform a motion similar to a swimming stroke with their arms, moving them in a crescent shape in front of him or her. This quick movement will release the built up wind in a cone form towards the targeted location. The "D" Rank technique is capable of extending forward about five meters and is capable of pushing over something that weights fifty pounds or under, as well as small projectile weapons. For each Rank of the technique that the user learns, double the distance and weight capable of being pushed. (Ex: "C" would be ten meters and one hundred pounds, "B" would be twenty meters and two hundred pounds, "A" would be forty meters and four hundred pounds, and "S" would be eighty meters and eight hundred pounds.)

Caesar remained on the ground. It attempted to get up at one point, but falling with its injured leg caused a twisting effect that disabled the gigantic zombie's bipedal movement.

For now, Caesar was unable to move away from the entrance of the town. It could only turn its head to its right to watch whatever was going on inside the town.

Claire's latest shot at Festarl was easily noticed. Not only was Festarl aware of incoming projectiles, he had his future sense that warned him of the impending attack. As the bolt flew towards him, he only needed to twitch his spear to swing into where he knew the attack was going to be. He was also able to do it by visual sight, but future sense provided better accuracy. The projectile collided against the polearm and flew off and away. It could have been reflected back to its origin point, but Festarl didn't bother. "Don't bore me with repetitive pain."

After taking care of the ranged threat, Festarl stopped in place. He slashed his right breast with his sword, so that blood could spill on the floor. As the blood pooled on the floor, Festarl used his feet to draw a symbol with it.

When finished, the symbol of a triangle inside a circle was found beneath Festarl's feet. He stood at the center of the symbol in wait.

History: It happened many centuries ago, on a day lost even to the Necronomicon book of the Jaishin. Regardless of the date of the Great Creation appearing to the Jaishinist Shai’ tan, son of Cain, within his dark dreams on night it occurred and gave the Jaishin new-found abilities. A Blackguard he was at the time when sleep rushed to him that night, after he spoke his prayers and spilled his on blood in an effort to appease the devil deities he worshiped. The dream came swiftly, a dream of darkness to mold the Jaishin worshipers for the remainder of eternity.

This world of dreams Shai’ tan entered was like none seen before by human eyes with the shrieks of tormented souls, palaces of bone, and rivers of blood aplenty. That is not what made him fall to his knees in awe and pray once more though, for the deities he worshiped, The Reaper and the Doukegata, stood before him. In unison the two deities spoke their charge to the Blackguard, a task to make their followers far more formidable then ever before. As the two deities and their land faded a symbol appeared before him and vanished the moment the man woke.

Immediately upon returning to the waking world the Blackguard rushed off to the Archimandrites, pausing only long enough to don his uniform. Arriving before the council three he spoke his dream to the council and awaited instructions for the proper course of action. First on their agenda was for one of them to die in the traditional manner, a choice of the gods, and for Shai’ tan to take their as Archimandrite which was done with haste. Immediately after that was done Shai’ tan was charged with performing the task he was charged with by the devil gods themselves. It was many long years that passed before the task was complete, for it took long to realize the only substance tainted enough to withstand the darkness of its purpose, and so the Jaishin Fugou was birthed.

The seal itself may allow multiple things that are occult form, but the effects only happen from within the seal. If the user is out of the seal, the seal does not work.
Description: The Sorcery: Jashin Fugou (Evil God Symbol) is indeed a seal, but some may consider it as another way of performing handseals. Instead of handseals, a Jashin member focuses their chakra by using the Sorcery: Jashin Fugou (Evil God Symbol). The Sorcery: Jashin Fugou (Evil God Symbol) may be used in many many forms such as communication, voodoo style jutsus, as well as the focus point of the Performance of Acceptance Ritual. The Sorcery: Jashin Fugou (Evil God Symbol) again is away of molding chakra like how the One Handed Seals are used by some, or the Musical Notes are used by others. Please look through the individual techniques in order to show the capabilities of the Seal. The seal takes two movements to perform out of the user's own blood.
