"They should be here soon" told the female as she walked into the living room. She felt a bit uneasy since there were nearly no places without security cameras or spies. Or at least that was how it felt like...so much for being Raikage.
"I got the house checked yesterday by my squad plus Hoshiko-chan. We're safe" assured the male.

"Thanks uncle" replied Marii with a grateful smile. To have a relative who had been in the ANBU owls for nearly two decades was a huge advantage. Who would suspect her to hide at his house?
None of the ANBU captains were likely to be with the council judging from the surveillance tapes. Two thirds of them wondered what the council was thinking while the remaining third thougth they were braindead.

"You're welcome Marii-chan" replied Tatsuya. He had a smile that matched hers. "I'll go up and hide while you prepare for the guests. They should be here any minute now" informed the young woman. The man nodded while she went up to the second floor to hide.

Hazel brown eyes gazed at the sheet his niece had handed him. On it was the names of a handful shinobis they had spied on the last couple of weeks.
One was a former Raikage who did not have her roots in the village she once ruled. Another was a former Sunagakure citizen who had transformed in more ways than one. The two others were orphans with a flair for frightening jutsus as well as dramatic hairstyles.

'Doesn't make it easier that half of these are related to me by marriage. They may be distant, but they share their bloodlimit with my sons' thought the Jounin. His wife was currently in the kitchen, chopping up some vegetables.
He pulled a hand through his graying minty-green hair. Just HOW would they crack down the corrupt Council members!?

[奥田 (Okuda)]

By Naota The soft tapping of his sandals could be heard as he approached the estate that was mentioned in the letter written by Marii. He had no clue why she was suddenly calling for him, but he didn’t care. Okuda wore his usual white Hakama pants with his white inner and blue outer Kimono’s. On his feet were his usual blue toe socks and straw sandals, the young red haired samurai always kept his Katana and Wakizashi where they belonged, on his left hip. His long red hair was in its usual pony tail that he kept tied up high and at a slight angle. Pulling the letter from the small breast pocket in his blue kimono the young samurai checked the address listed once more, he had a strange feeling but that was about it, he wasn’t able to place why he was having this strange feeling though. Placing the letter back in his breast pocket of the blue Kimono, Okuda would stand at the large gates, sure he could easily leap over them, but he figured that would be dangerous considering who lived there. He instead pushed a small button that would alert those who lived there that someone was awaiting permission to enter. ((OOC: sorry if I made any mistakes with my post, I wasn't quite sure how I was supposed to know how to enter so I made some stuff up and I'm also sorry if it doesn't make a lot of sense lol))

(OOC: Gonna say Katsu rolled a 1 on his Will Save to avoid his "Nightmares" drawback augmentation affects, and I'm adding the "Exhausted" status affect as well, so Katsu is going to have reduced Will Saves, Movements, and Skill checks, and be in a shitty mood to boot.)

Katsu was tired. Very Tired. Over the past week his sleeping rhythm had been completely thrown out of whack repeatedly. Katsu didn't know whether it was his hormonal imbalance or the stares just about everyone gave him whenever he went out in public anymore, but lately Katsu hadn't been able to get a moment of rest. Whenever he had finally found a spot to lie down and take a nap in his adrenaline would shoot through the roof, his heart pounding painfully hard in his chest and a sense of being watched flooding his senses. Beyond that little things had been making him jumpy, innocent noises taking on a sinister tone like the chittering of a squirrel sounding like tiny bones breaking, and people's faces seemed to have a skeletal cast to them, their eyes seeming to glow with a dim yellow glow.

And the nightmares! Always of a single, implacable watcher, slowly chasing Katsu through an empty environment, always right there at the edge of his vision. Attacks never touched the creature, and it would relentlessly follow him, slowly gaining, reaching out to touch him just as he would awake, his claws and fangs unsheathed, whatever he was sleeping on torn and ripped badly.

Now it seemed he had gotten a letter from Marii, his Raikage, delivered by an unregistered messenger bird directly to him while he walked the village. It had said to go to a specific location, and to be low-key about it, so now Katsu was slowly heading for the place while using Henge to appear as a Dark Elf archer. Roughly five eleven with a thin build, chocolate brown skin, red eyes without emotion, white hair, pointed ears, and a demeanor that was deadly serious. His Henge clothes consisted of a  hunter green long cloak, while he wore a dark olive zip up shirt that stopped above his navel, a long red waistwrap overtop his hunter green pants and simple dark moccasins. Of course Katsu kept his Recurve bow (unstrung) and his quiver full of 300 or so arrows, some consisting of exploding, incendiary, lightning, ice, and other exotic types. With that as his only weaponry (Katsu didn't need a melee weapon, he had plenty of natural weapons), Katsu made his way towards what appeared to be a gated home.

As Katsu approached the gate he realized Okuda had also been summoned, or at least that was his assumption upon seeing the swordsman. Really not wanting to deal with people more than he absolutely had to at this point, Katsu contented himself to simply walk past the swordsman and lean up against the gate, his eyes closing in an attempt to get some kind of rest...

[Tieren]

It had been some time since I had been called upon to meet with Marii. She had become Raikage, and upon my return to the village, I had been asked by the council to aid her in her duties as leader. I was, more or less, her personal assistant, but for the time being, she hadn't needed that help.

Suddenly I received a message from her asking me to report to a specific location, which led me to further instructions and more after that before I made my way to this place. Clearly there was something to be hidden if she was being that secretive. But with the previous issues with the Gale Empire, it made sense that there was some sense of secrecy, even amongst the shinobi of Cloud.

As I arrived at the location, I noticed a couple of them standing outside of a gate leading to the house in question. Marii, on the other hand, was nowhere to be found. I wondered for a moment what was going on, but decided to not make too much of a scene. I just made my way forward and stood near them, as though expecting something to happen.

Weapons were strewn across my body, as they usually were. It had been that way for quite some time. Even so far as my Chuunin exam almost 13 years ago. On my back rested a holster holding my staff and double bladed naginata. Across my chest was an empty blue vest, resting on top of my classic, long-sleeved yellow shirt. Yellow framed glasses were on my face with the Topaz gemmed ring on my right ring finger. Around my waist rested a bag filled with 7 kunai, 6 hira shuriken, 3 light pouches, 2 blood clot pills, 32 exploding tags, and 1 multi tool. I also had another bag filled with a tracking device, 64 tracers, and 15 meters of silk rope, and an empty double scroll size pouch on my waist as well.

Hanging from a yellow pouch was my crystal ball, and in my pocket was an ocarina. Upon my hands were two gauntlets. The right held a shock enhancement and the left held a piston enhancement. A mono goggle with X-ray and Camera vision rested above my eye. A wireless receiver was also in my ear, allowing for remote communication. Blue jeans and shoes rounded off the appearance. A prehensile tail flicked behind me from time to time, looking thicker than the tail of a monkey and being the color of my skin. I also had gills upon my neck which went with my water dependency. I took a break in between the final instructions and coming here, to ensure that I had time in water before doing so.

This was going to be an interesting meeting, that much was for sure. I was curious as to what was going to happen as more would gather up.

'Ding dong' sang the doorbell as the female was on her way up. "OK you two. It's time to change" muttered Marii as she looked down at her animal companions.
It only took two series of hand seals to change them into humans. "Remember what I said about being careful" reminded the young woman.

The duo gave her a nod before they descended the stairs. Both of them clutched onto the handrail while making their way down to the ground floor. The Raikage hid inside the bathroom while the older male was about to open the door.
He had decided to not use his mask or a henge since it would make it more suspicious. The fact that he was 5'9" tall with a lean built would make it easier for him to blend in too.

"Hello there. Come in, the party is about to start" greeted Tatsuya with a smile at his face. This was off course a code that they had agreed on.
The code said that they would enter the house according to their birthdays after the door had opened. A 5'1" tall brunette woman with emerald green eyes plus a 5'8" tall guy with slate gray hair plus scarlet eyes stood behind the man.

The woman was dressed in blue jeans plus a yellow sweater while the guy weared black jeans paired with a green sweater. Both of them appeared to be in their twenties, but they were actually animals in human form. Shiori would sniff as the trio passed to confirm their identity.
Daiki on the other hand would scan their appearance. "Please get into the kitchen...we're having miso soup with fish" informed the Jounin.

He would walk into the kitchen while the transformed creatures would follow the humans. The kitchen was an average modern kitchen with an attached dining room. A 5'8" tall woman with an athletic build would be stirring the soup.
Her deep gray hair was tied in a ponytail while her blue eyes looked at the guests. If the boys looked closely, they would perhaps notice that the woman had an eye shape similar to the one Marii had.

"Please sit down. My little girl should be here soon" told Hoshiko. Her 'little girl' was in fact her niece Marii.
"How are your jobs doing? I bet you've all had a tough week" began the male. The bait was out...but would they swallow it?

This type of technique can be used to where they can accuratly speak, and concise in a normal like speech pattern to where the animal will understand the user, and the user will understand the animal.

Drawback: The user is only capable of going into this depending on what type of animal helper they have.

Limit: This technique must be known multiple times. The user however must have a helper that is according to the correct speech. What this means is if the user has an animal helper of the canine breed, then they are capable of communicating within a speech form towards that type. If the user has a helper of the birds of prey breed, then they are capable of communicating within a speech form towards that type. Must have completed all basis of the animal helper performance. Must learn animal friendship, control, understanding and teamwork. It takes 1+1d3 weeks of work to train the creature to follow a simple order or perform a technique, but training for a general order takes three months. raining for a specific trick requires 2+2d4 weeks. With this technique the animal is capable of figuring out of the person is perhaps an evil intentioned character. When a creature detects a scent, the exact location of the source is not revealed—only its presence somewhere within range. The creature can take a movement to note the direction of the scent. Learning “S” Rank allows the user to search for common things, while “S” for nearly impossible. Jûjin bunshin (Beast human clone).

Skill: Ninjutsu.
Effect: A Henge variation technique that transforms the animal companion into a humanoid person.
Special: “Handseals”.
Drawback: This type of technique lasts until the object that has been changed is suddenly hit, smacked to knock the technique out, or if the user wishes for the technique to be dispelled.
Description: A modified version of a transformation technique, this jutsu allows a user to transform their animal companion into a perfect copy of a humanoid that cannot speak including themselves. When combined with the Four legs technique, the user and the animal become virtually impossible to tell apart, since both act equally animalistic. Like any transformation, the jutsu can be broken by identifying and attacking the animal, thus dispelling the transformation.
Limit: Animal companion technique for user. Must know henge no jutsu (transformation skill) to size of corresponding creature.

[奥田 (Okuda)]

By Naota Okuda entered the building slowly, following the person who greeted him at the door. He found it a tad strange that Marii herself didn’t answer the door, considering she had sent the letters, but upon thinking where her rank, title and position in the village and the world hierarchy was it wouldn’t be unreasonable she had a guard or something to open the door for her and ensure the safety of the Village’s most important leader. The real strangeness was the fact that there were two other people that were basically right behind the man who had answered the door. As they entered Okuda couldn’t help but feel that for some reason the female of the trio was…sniffing him? Strange, but in this world of otherworldly abilities known as Ninjutsu and Genjutsu having an ability to sniff out certain chemicals or what not wasn’t too out there. Again this kind of thing made sense considering Marii’s position, though it did unnerve Okuda a bit even if it didn’t show on his face. Okuda then heard, as the last of their group entered, that the ‘party’ was to be held in the kitchen and that they were having miso soup with fish. Following the man Okuda would spot an older woman stirring what he assumed was the soup as he entered the room. At the woman’s insistence to sit down, Okuda took a seat at the table, positioning himself to see as much of the room as he could. When he went to sit down he pulled his Katana and its sheath from his belt and leaned it against the edge of the table near him. His Wakizashi remained on his hip, he did this to make himself feel slightly more comfortable in the chair and more maneuverable if a fight should occur. It wasn’t long before the man who had greeted them began to speak, he had asked how their jobs were doing and said that it must have been a tough week. Okuda was unsure how to answer this at first, but after a moment of introspection he began to speak “The week has simply been, I cannot say yet whether it has been good or bad…” which was true, Okuda wasn’t entirely sure how to answer the question posed by the man so he went with a more neutral response.

The world of scents was a very comprehensive one, allowing one with a strong sense of smell to learn a lot of information that someone without missed completely. For example, even though someone can perform a Henge jutsu, their original scent still clings to their new form until they wash themselves. So as the door to the home was opened, the scent of feline and bird and the man was propelled forward by the shifting air, and Katsu caught a strong whiff of it. Better yet he was close enough to tell which scent belonged to which creature. The man up front was human, the two younger people behind him were actually animals in Henge form. Marii's scent was also on the two animals as well, which to Katsu meant they belonged to her. He couldn't see anyone but their owner casting a Henge on their Animal companions.

So Katsu followed Okuda inside and was lead into their kitchen, being told that Miso Soup with fish was on the menu, almost sub-consciously replying with a questioning, "Is it White Miso with Whitefish or Red Miso with Salmon... oh, and I'll take some extra Negi in mine, thanks.." Well. Katsu was nearly a Master in the kitchen, and Eastern food had a great stock in the aesthetics of the food along with the taste. Matching the colors and tastes was part of the basics.

Grabbing a chair from the table Katsu would set it sideways near to a wall and sit down in it, leaning against the wall. A moment to dispel his Henge and Katsu returned to his huge Draconic form, his long tail falling down in between the space between the chair and the wall, letting him sit comfortably in an otherwise very uncomfortable chair. He had only a pair of black slacks on for clothing, quite comfortable going barefooted and barechested. His unstrung bow was leaned against the wall and his quiver set next to it as well, and he let his head rest against the wall as well.

The man who had invited them in spoke once more, "How are your jobs doing? I bet you've all had a tough week"

Once Okuda had responded Katsu would make his own statement, "Excuse me. Can we skip the niceties? The Raikage asks us to come to a place in secret, and when we get there we're met by her two animal companions in Henge form.." At this Katsu would point directly at Shiori and Daiki in turn, ".. a member of the Kazeraikou that even I haven't met.." Katsu's finger moved to point at Hoshiko at this, ".. and presumably her husband, judging by your scent being all over this house as well. All four of you have a nervous tension about you as well, suspicion and distrust. You're not sure whether you can trust us. I can smell some older scents to, a lot. There's been a lot of people in this house... about a day or so ago, am I right?

"So here's my thought. Marii-sama has a problem she didn't think she could trust most people with, and came to you folks for assistance. You got some people to make sure your home was secure, and then Marii sent out some invitations to us to get us to this location. I'm sure those animals were helpful in assuring that we are who we really are. Most people don't think about how they smell, but even so you can't be certain by just that, so you don't trust us. Or maybe you wouldn't trust us even if you knew with certainty that it was us, I'm not sure.

"The point is, this is all supposed to be secret, there's some problem that the Raikage needs help with, and either due to our skills or disposition us three are the most likely candidates to go to. Judging by who's here, I assume it has to do with those who would work for the best interests of the village, no matter who it set us against. So can we get Marii back in here to explain what's going on, or am I going to be insulted further by this lack of trust between fellow Shinobi of Kumogakure?" That last part came out as an annoyed growl, and Katsu's inhuman eyes would attempt to bore a hole into Tatsuya's own. He would then sigh, and close his eyes in exhaustion, muttering how he was "Too tired for this crap today..." under his breath.

Cranky Dragon was cranky, but it didn't seem to have dulled his senses much!

Effect: A technique used to change into people other than oneself, but also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: Unable to change into any size category larger than the user. May not change into anything that is smaller than Tiny size category (1 foot). Unable to change their voice. Unable to change their sense of smell. Unable to change their chakra signature. Once the user is hit this technique is dispelled.
Description: Using this technique, the user assumes the form of a creature of same
size category as they are or smaller. User may freely designate the specifics of his new form
(such as height, weight, hair texture and color, skin tone, etc.) User doesn't change their movements, nor handseals speed. In the new form user keeps all their normal abilities unless they use a limb or body part that doesn't exist within the current form. This means the user cannot use any technique unless the body form allows it. User may create equipment so the new form may carry so long as they are not complicated items, or use Chakra (Master Crafted Items, Gadgets, Explosives, Summoning Scrolls, etc). User is not automatically proficient in them and their physical strength is not the same as the item. Any part of the body or piece of equipment that is separated from the whole reverts to its true form. Technique lasts 10 minutes per Class level.
Limit: Universal NinJutsu Technique.

Words were spoken by the hosts, leaving me there to stand silently up til the point that we moved from the front to the kitchen. We were told what we were having before being asked to sit down. Not wanting to be disrespectful, I remained silent and sat down where asked to do so. I had gotten used to sitting with all of my weapons and the tail that flicked behind me from time to time. I noticed one of the others remove one of their swords and lean it against the table before sitting. The other had a more drastic change as the visual of the dark skinned human fell away and he showed to be more draconic in nature.

I looked over to the male who started to speak, asking how their week had gone. The one who took off his sword said a rather neutral answer, but before I could speak, the draconic creature started to speak about this supposed situation they had set up. I sat there as he spoke with arms crossed and eyes closed. My head was pointed down as I listened to his words as he picked apart every single aspect. After he had finished his speech of sorts, and his small gripe about the current situation, I remained silent for a few moments more, just to ensure he was finished. Finally, a soft chuckle came from my lips.

"Insulted? The fact that you think that is their goal is almost insulting to them. With all of the issues with the Gale Empire going on, I almost expected there to be MORE secure measures to this meeting. They have to ensure we are who they believe us to be. So why not keep quiet and let them do their job?"

I said, opening my eyes and looking over to the one who had spoken. I wasn't meaning to be rude, but considering his words, it was necessary. I wouldn't expect any less than this from the Raikage and trying to get people together for some sort of task. I didn't know fully what was going on, but they had to be sure about everything, and I couldn't blame them. Safety for the leader as well as all villagers was highest priority. And to feel insulted that they are trying to be safe and secure is just a foolish notion.

[Marii K. Kazeraikou]

"The week has simply been, I cannot say yet whether it has been good or bad…" replied the male. 'That must be Okuda-kun. He is just as quiet as onee-san said he was' thought the female as she took down three bowls from the cupboard.
The older guy just nodded while he mentally ticked off a box in his head. It seemd like Okuda had gotten the code just right.

But what the younger guy said evoked some angry reactions from the transformed animals. Shiori let out a hiss while Daiki seemed to tense his arms. Being a bird, his natural reaction would be to flap his wings to fly or flee.
Tatsuya on the other hand tried to not let the anger get the best of him. This kid was just in the midst of puberty after all and appeared to be tired too.

"Calm dow you two. I can understand why you feel this way...I do that too" muttered Hoshiko while she looked at the animalistic duo. Both of them calmed down a little bit after hearing her speak.
She then poured the soup into the three bowls before placing a spoon in each. The woman prayed that Katsugan plus the other two would be able to keep their act together for the remaining of the meeting.

The oldest man present smiled. "Rest assured Tieren-kun...we got the safety covered. Why don't you go get our little girl Daiki-kun?" told the Jounin.
The said Coopers hawk then went off to pick up his owner. It did not take long until Marii arrived the kitchen with her animal companion.

"I'm happy to see that you could come at such short notice. I'll just get started right away" told the female while her aunt gave each of them a bowl with soup. "Last month, I found out that my office had been rigged with cameras that was connected to something outside the Raikage tower.
I am not feeling safe at the moment due to what happened with our previous Raikages" muttered the Sannin.

"Some of my main suspects are some of the council members. Especially considering what happened at that masquerade ball nearly six years ago. I'm pretty sure you remember that Kana was nearly assaulted" continued the young woman while looking at Tieren.
He had probably been there or heard about it. Or at least had heard what had been going on during that event...he had been a Kumogakure shinobi for quite a while.

By Naota Okuda sighed slightly as Katsu had opened his mouth, showing off how smart he felt by figuring out what the hell was going on, sure Okuda was hampered by his lack of jutsu or special appendages like some here had in spades, but he didn’t care. Okuda looked at Katsu with a look, the look of a man accustomed to murder and spoke softly “Katsu, shut up you ill-tempered fool.” It was clear that Okuda himself wasn’t in the mood for this either. He then looked to Tieren, the Jounin who spoke to Katsu before he could and then finally to the man who had greeted them and sat at the table with them as the woman who had been cooking poured each of them a bowl of soup. Okuda picked up the spoon next to the bowl and scooped up some of the soup which he took a small sip of, showing utmost manners and not slurping it either. He then placed the spoon back inside the bowl and looked at the others as Marii came into the room. She explained about the camera’s and the fact that they already had some suspects, mostly those who date back six years or so. Okuda wasn’t really around at the time of the incident that had taken place, he’d heard rumblings but nothing more. Marii didn’t speak for long, most likely to get a feel for the group. She was learning to become a good politician in that regard, reading the room, Okuda decided to speak up, ask the question that surely would be on the minds of all whom had gathered here. “But Marii-sama, that still does not answer the question of why you felt it prudent to call us all here, maybe the other two have skills I am not aware of, in fact I am sure of this, however you know me my skills are not suitable for espionage, I am the sword as evidenced by my skills with the blade, I am good at one thing: eliminating those who oppose you, if you want these suspects killed then fine, point my sword and I shall see to it that they die.” Okuda had spoken an unusual amount just then, but after his two years of missing time, that even he had no clue of, things inside him felt different, he was still a killer, he still could fight as good as he could the day he left for the land of tea yet something felt….off about him that he didn’t know about yet, at least not in a means that would let him change the issue.

A simple "Tch!" would be all that issued from Katsu's mouth in response to everyone's own response to his earlier words. Apparently Katsu was the only one who didn't like the situation as it stood. So Katsu just kept his head leaned back and his eyes closed as Marii entered the room and just began her explanation. Katsu so far had nothing useful to add to this part of the conversation, and given how everyone seemed to dislike it when he spoke Katsu decided to just keep his mouth shut for now. So he took the Miso soup he was offered with a bow of his head in an effort of basic civility and said a small prayer under his breath over the food before taking the chopsticks he had been offered and plucking out the submerged fish chunks in the soup, then drinking the soup in the traditional manner. Although apparently Okuda had gone for a more western style of eating the soup, what with the spoon and all. Eh... Katsu didn't feel like wasting the energy to point out how you were supposed to eat Miso Soup...

I nodded toward the one who had been speaking to us most when he said there were security measures in place. If there wasn't, then clearly the ANBU of our village were not doing their job properly. However, they asked for one of the supposed animals in disguise to go and collect their little girl. It was easy to assume that it was in fact Marii, and when her presence was shown, that was confirmed.

She explained a little about why they were all here. She hadn't been feeling safe after noticing cameras and bugs in her office. Then she references the Masquerade ball in which Kana had been assaulted. The Jounin thought back to that day, his Eidetic memory able to pull the information almost immediately.

"Yes... The hall of Roses... The location of two assassination attempts on our Raikages. The first against Kotomi Inohara, when Kana Machiko took the title. Then again after Kana had stepped down in order to be wed to Kaeor, Sky Shimizu took the title at that point. The elders, however, aren't too creative. Both done with a masquerade ball at the Hall of Roses and the actual attempt being done after a large explosion. But I can see where your suspicions come from. The council have shown they aren't afraid to try and assassinate our leaders. But to resort to hidden cameras and bugs... Clearly they're looking for any and every reason to do so now."

I said, offering the information on what had happened before with the two Kages who were attacked long ago as well as my understanding of Marii's words. But it didn't make sense to me. Why try to attack Marii if she was just recently made Raikage? And why ask me to be her personal assistant if they just wanted to murder her? Perhaps they had a vendetta against me as well? Marii and I were two shinobi who rose the ranks quickly and had been with the village for a great deal of time. Perhaps they felt threatened by us...

[Marii K. Kazeraikou]

She tried to suppress the smile that formed at her face when her oldest student told the younger one to be quiet. But it was not often that Okuda talked that much...perhaps he was upset. The last male there however seemed to recall the event that had happened at the hall.
"I do think that they're just looking for reasons or a chance to attack us. But I suspect it may be a bit clan related too considering our recent influence" suggested Marii.

"I second that. We now have several Chuunins, Jounins as well as a new Raikage who's a Kazeraikou. The fact they're not trying to damage the clan by making headlines in the newspapers or public scandals scares me.
They are apparently trying to make us think that we're safe or operate behind our backs. And it wouldn't surprise me if they have contacts who works as assassins or high ranked politicians" told the man in a grave voice.

"But isn't there anyone we can talk to?" inquired the older woman as she sat down. Marii suddenly jolted up a little. "Wait a minute...I just remembered something!" whispered the young woman with an excited look at her face.
"Maybe we can interrogate the woman who was caught at the hall of roses? Didn't she get a sentence on ten years for publicly attacking the Raikage?" asked the Sannin.

Her uncle nodded. "That's where I'll need your help Okuda-kun. We need to interrogate her and possibly the Gale Empire general.
I think we can start next week since I'm going to meet some officials. Which means that the council may cook up something while I'm gone" started the female.

"The fact that the new Raikage tower is under construction means that we need to move things. This means that we need to relocate highly confidential material...which is a suitable job for you" told the brunette while looking at Tieren.
"I don't think that will be an easy task. Remember that the security is going to be quite high" told Tatsuya.


"I know. But I'll make sure to mix in someone who I can trust. Namely Katsu plus some of the junior members from my division.
Do you guys have any ideas? I know there are probably a lot more areas, but I want to hear your thoughts too" said Marii.

By Naota Okuda listened as the other male, not his teammate, spoke and then as Marii herself spoke about the plan in general of what they would be doing. For some odd reason she wanted him to participate in an interrogation of some prisoners that might know something of use to them. Thinking for a minute, he couldn’t see what she apparently saw in him towards interrogation unless she merely wanted him there as a bit of muscle, but even then he didn’t look all that impressive. “Marii-sama, I don’t know why you wish to have me in with you during the interrogation, I can think of no skills on my own that would be especially helpful nor can I be that much of a threatening figure during said interrogation…So, please help me in understanding the reasoning behind your decision. However, do not take that as a refusal as I will do it, I merely wish to know why you feel the need to have me along with you when I am certain there are more capable interrogators in our village…” Okuda picked up a pair of chopsticks and carefully pulled out a piece of the fish from the soup and ate it, it was seasoned well and was well cooked. Okuda wasn’t one to really care about how food tasted and what not, but he did enjoy a good and well cooked meal from time to time. This meal was one such meal that meant he could relax a bit, knowing that he wouldn’t be eating horrible food like some places he’d been to throughout his life.

The food was doing well to assuage Katsu's general discontent, letting him just sit back and half doze as he listened to the conversation happening around him. It didn't take long for Katsu to consume his meal and place the bowl over on the table, leaning over far in order to do so, then leaning back once more.

Eventually though, he managed to utter his thoughts, "I have a simple question as to the nature of our... investigations... no maybe... operations? Yeah. Anyway... How far are we going to be willing to take this? We're apparently facing people who are perfectly comfortable in having people viewed as the leader of our entire military murdered in view of everybody in that military.

"I suppose what I'm asking is are we planning to pursue this to the logical extreme? Are we going to have some heads on pikes outside the new Kage Tower when we're done with this?" Katsu at that point opened his eyes and looked at Marii directly, "I don't think we can half-ass this at all, or we'll all end up regretting it. So I need to know that we're going to do this right and make sure there isn't a single remnant of our enemies to threaten us, or I'm out. I have my family still. I've got a little sister who's twelve, she's just graduated the Academy and done her first few missions. She's innocent to any of the deeper currents of the village, and a perfect target for a vicious foe to exploit.

"So tell me we're going to fucking murder these bastards so they're never going to be able to go after my little sister, or count me out of this..."

The female glanced at her oldest student as he told her about his opinion. "I am fully aware of your limitations. But we may need someone to restrain the prisoner in case she or he tries to flee.
The other reason is that your jutsus are based on stamina and power rather than chakra. That will give you an advantage since they may try to suck out your chakra" told Marii.

She turned her head towards the younger male there when he told her about the extremes they were willing to go to. The young woman put down her cup of tea with a grim look at her face.
"We will kill them if necessary. If not, we'll put them in a prison cell with extremely limited contact with other people" told the Raikage.

"Limiting their contact with people won't give them a chance to manipulate their way out or influence others. But if they are willing to cooperate, I will let them do some boring labour.
Like ranging the forests in the country side where there is no people. But they may find a friend in the huge animals that live there" chuckled the female. She had a slightly evil look at her face.


"So the plan is to interrogate the woman plus the general to find their connections while you're gone. Tieren-san will investigate the papers together with some of the ANBU agents. But what should we do when we find out who their connections are?" inquired the older man.
"We have to check the papers plus the video tapes from the meetings plus the assassinations. Chances are that they will show up there" started the young woman.

"Second on our list are the statments from the Raikage's or staff that are still alive. I have already spoken to one person about this. When we got enough proof, I will arrange my coronation ceremony.
But the person who is being coronated is my kage bunshin. I'm going to be out of the country during the ceremony" informed the brunette.

"When the culprits tries to attack...we'll catch them red-handed" grinned the female. "Any thoughts about the plan?" inquired Tatsuya as he looked at the other three. He felt that something was lacking in the plan his niece had made.
The male hoped that the trio could help him out a little. Hindering a kage assassination was something he had never done before.

[奥田 (Okuda)]

By Naota Okuda listened to the woman as she went over her detailed plan of what was to come over the next few days. It was intricate, and dangerous and quite risky if the duo of prisoners were allowed to live. Okuda then thought of the coronation ceremony and wondered if she would even have a bodyguard detail for that, all of whom would need to be vetted even if it were for merely a fake version of her. Eating another piece of fish from his bowl, Okuda began to think moreso on the interrogation. Even if he didn’t use chakra to attack, if they did and were somehow able to catch him off guard even he could be rendered useless. Shaking his head slightly before placing his chopsticks down, Okuda would look at the Raikage and say “Ok, I’ll do it Marii-sama, I trust you know what you’re doing as I can’t truly fathom this plan for I am merely a sword that you should use to wipe your foes from this earth.” Okuda then did a slight bow while sitting, he had decided to go along with this plan no matter the cost to him, even if it cost him his life he would see that this mission succeeded and that those who would try to bring chaos to the village would die horrible deaths.

When Katsu heard Marii's response, he just shook his head. So rather than kill them, they were going to be allowed to live, if only long enough to have some animal perform the kill instead. It was a rather dishonorable and disgusting way to end someone, in Katsu's opinion. There was no honor in supposedly granting mercy only to snatch it away with a lame excuse about a third party performing the kill. You either kill an enemy or grant mercy, no in between. Not to mention all the holes in her plan.

Katsu performed a single handseal, reactivating Henge to take the form of the dark-skinned elven bowman, and he picked up his quiver and slung it around his shoulder. "Stop... stop... I'm done. I'm out. There's so much wrong with this I can't even start to explain it all...

"I'm gonna go before this conversation gets too serious. I'll be getting ready for a mission against the Gale. At least in that case I don't have to worry about getting stabbed in the back, everyone's an enemy. If you got a mission where I kill everyone that's an enemy, fine. Otherwise keep me out of this..."

Picking up his bowstaff Katsu started heading for the door, stopping at the threshold for a moment, his hand on the knob, "This is a respectful warning to everyone here. It's obvious that village tension is going to rise, so I'm going to reinforce my home security, even if I have to build a new place from fucking scratch. If I catch anyone sneaking about my home from now on, I'm shooting them first, asking questions never. Do not. Keep surveillance. On. Me....

"...Thanks for the Miso soup, Clansmen. It was top grade..."

If this had all gone on without someone trying to drag him back, Katsu would at that point leave, and make his way towards one of the training grounds... He had some jutsu to polish before he took a certain mission against the Gale bastards...

Description: The creature can detect opponents within 10-meters by sense of smell. If the opponent is upwind, the range increases to 20-meters; if downwind, it drops to 5-meters. Strong scents, such as smoke or rotting garbage, can be detected at x2 the ranges noted above. Overpowering scents, such as skunk musk, can be detected at x3 normal range. When a creature detects a scent, the exact location of the source is not revealed—only its presence somewhere within range. The creature can take a movement to note the direction of the scent. Whenever the creature comes within 2-meters of the source, the creature pinpoints the source’s location. When finding Herbs and Animals (random), Scent may improve searching for them (must have Scent of object previously before searching). Learning "D" Rank allows the user to search for Common things, while "S" for Nearly Impossible. Each rank user learns increases chance of finding by 2% for the Rank of Herb, and increases per Rank thereafter. Example: At "S" Rank User gains 10% increase chance in finding Common Herbs and Animals but only 2% Increase for Nearly Impossible Herbs and Animals.

Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: A technique used to change into people other than oneself, but also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: Unable to change into any size category larger than the user. May not change into anything that is smaller than Tiny size category (1 foot). Unable to change their voice. Unable to change their sense of smell. Unable to change their chakra signature. Once the user is hit this technique is dispelled.
Description: Using this technique, the user assumes the form of a creature of same
size category as they are or smaller. User may freely designate the specifics of his new form
(such as height, weight, hair texture and color, skin tone, etc.) User doesn't change their movements, nor handseals speed. In the new form user keeps all their normal abilities unless they use a limb or body part that doesn't exist within the current form. This means the user cannot use any technique unless the body form allows it. User may create equipment so the new form may carry so long as they are not complicated items, or use Chakra (Master Crafted Items, Gadgets, Explosives, Summoning Scrolls, etc). User is not automatically proficient in them and their physical strength is not the same as the item. Any part of the body or piece of equipment that is separated from the whole reverts to its true form. Technique lasts 10 minutes per Class level.

Silence was all the came for me for a short period of time, my eyes closed as I listened to what was going on. The proposed plan and the words that came from the others. One was hell-bent on killing those who had intended to strike. The other was doubting their own abilities when the Raikage had stated why she wanted them to do something. I agreed with my part in the plan, however. Being appointed as Raikage Assistant by the council meant it would be easy and likely that I'd be in the tower amongst certain confidential and highly important information. And with my eidetic memory, it made it easier for me to read over something and remember its contents.

However, the draconic looking man who henged himself into a dark skinned elven bowman was now stating how he was done with this and hadn't intended on doing further unless he knew the they were going to die by our hand. He started moving to leave, an action that I would attempt to stop, though not with actions.... With words.

"I agree with Katsu, though I suggest he stay to find out why."

I stated, looking toward him to see if he would listen to my words and hear me out. From this point, I stood as well, walking around as I spoke. Strategy was something that I was keen on. It was why I had remained silent up until this point. I needed to form a plan, and perhaps cover the holes up in the plan by the ANBU and the Raikage.

"I agree in my part in the plan. Information gathering is easy for me. I am the Raikage's assistant after all. It is logical that I'd be in the tower around private information. And with my eidetic memory, all it takes is a simple read through to remember the contents. I also agree with Okuda's part. More of an intimidation factor if I were to guess. His abilities with a sword are no doubt unmatched, even if I haven't seen it myself. However..."

I said, looking over to Katsu at this point.

"As I said, I also agree with Katsu. While an interrogation must take place for those that we can interrogate, I think those who would attempt this assassination should be killed as soon as possible. Even if they are captured, interrogated, and then killed, it needs to happen. Others involved in such plots were allowed to go free, and then another attempt was made on a different Raikage. The village has too much to worry about with the Gale Empire. We don't need to add on the addition of corrupt leaders to their list of worries."

I then walked over to Katsu and placed a hand upon his shoulder.

"However... We cannot simply go and kill them at this very moment. The village itself needs to see what has happened and see the elders for what they truly are. If we just went and assassinated them now, the village would enter into a state of civil war, feeling the Raikage has overstepped their bounds. With the issues of the Gale Empire, I don't believe we need to add on a civil war to our list of problems. I hope you can agree with that. I suggest you stay here. After all, look around... There aren't many here. The way I see it. Those that are here... Are the only ones that she can trust right now."

I told him, looking back toward Marii and Tatsuya. Marii had wanted me here for a reason. And strategies and planning was one thing I was good at. I wouldn't have gotten to the point that I'm at now if I wasn't good at it. I had only hoped that my words would cause Katsu to stay. It was clear that he was needed in this situation and if he were to leave now, Marii would be left with limited people she could trust.

'OK. Let's get through this' thought the male as he reviewed what the female had said in his head. One of the first problems that arised was how the culprits would be punished.
Tatsuya feared that there was a big chance they would return to Kumogakure no Sato. Especially since they knew this country better than Marii did.

Issue number two was the coronation ceremony. What would happen if the kage bunshin got attacked and dissolved? That would surely cause some controversy around the young woman.
The new Raikage then stood up from her chair when the youngest guy decided to leave. But it only took a moment until the older male in there took action.

What he said rang true in the ears of all the three Kazeraikous present. Both of the females however suddenly turned pale upon the mention of the civil war aspect. Kumogakure no Sato had actually not had a civil war in nearly two centuries.
"Why are you so pale Marii?" inquired Tatsuya as he looked at his pallid niece. She then took a deep breath while pinching her eyes shut.

It was clear that the brunette was struggling to not cry. He could not blame her..the fate of the village rested in her bony hands. She looked up a minute later.
"Sorry about that. It was just the mention of a civil war plus what they could do that made me like this" informed the young woman.

"What Tieren-san and Katsu-kun says is true. But the least thing I want to do is to kill the wrong people. That's why I am reluctant to send them away.
Second is the issue that Tieren-san mentioned concerning the elders. Just HOW are we going to inform the village about this!?" exclaimed Marii.

"Do you think you could mention it during your ceremony? Speaking of which, sending a kage bunshin can be a bad idea. What if the clone goes up in smoke during an attack?" inquired the man.
"It's the safest option I can come up with. Unless we can get rid of those b@$%¤+@ first" told the female.

The older male raised his eyebrows when she heard what she called them. "I guess we better come up with a plan. I do not like to say this, but we may have to kill these scumbags in order to stop this cycle. I think we should start to gather and analyze the evidence while the new tower is built for starters" began the Raikage.

"After that...I need some help. Especially on how we should inform the public about this plus the execution. I can understand your anger Katsu-kun since I got younger siblings myself" assured the young woman.
The last thing she wanted to do was to upset the ones that were here. She found it quite bad that these non-family people were the only she could trust in Kumogakure no Sato.
