Funny, how after all these years ‘Suke recalled that he actually now held Yoshi’s life in his hands, it was a curious thing a promise like that. With a heartwarming smile to his face when the girl finally passed out he readjusted a hold so the girl’s head rested against his chest. The man standing at six feet and eight inches looked across the crowd, his eyes calmed and a gaze to the individuals as he only looked across to see the mixed emotions. From anger to sadness, to reassurance to pleasure, the crowd held much sway on many different emotional scales yet there was one face he seemed to pick out from the crowds that seemed rejoiced.
Confused yet rejoiced she appeared as he looked down upon her and blinked, the question she asked was far too real to him as he looked to the angered faces amongst the crowd. The council seemed so easy to pick out before he looked back at the girl before him and he answered, “I am Hikaru Suke, the new Amekage.” His words held no flair, no joy, and no distinctive emotion that could reflect that he was proud. Rather the words were humble, an emotion of which only reflected on his now holding role on this position. He looked at the girl who held the sword, himself stepping off the platform and approaching her.
While he approached her he felt the stares of someone, and when turning he found it to be of no issue. Merely an AnBu guard already examining the paralyzed body of the old man, looking to Suke for answers now as Suke merely looked over to him. “He will be fine, get him out of the rain and put him in a place that is warm. I will be speaking to him once I am able, for he has much explaining to do after this sham of a stunt.” His words harsh yet very real to the cause. Looking back at the girl, he continued to go to her.
“Thank you for standing up to the council as you had. If you hadn’t, I’d know that we would have lost more than one person in this village. We are not all meant to be shinobi, we are not mindless killers who take what is given to us. We are people, and this girl in my arms. She has played shinobi long enough, she deserves a rest. Will you help me?” He asked, already knowing a good place for which to lead the girl as he had to go there anyways. The proclamation of his duties, the announcement of who he was, and the attendance that shall now be met. It was as it should be.
