After having perfected the spin of the stabilizing chakra, kidori had gone home for the night, after a long day of training to recover his chakra and rest his body. It was the next morning now and he had returned to his training area to finish his new jutsu. The only new thing he really had to learn now was the ability to hit a target with it. He needed to be able to harness the power of the jutsu and aim it in the right direction. It didn’t sound hard, but kidori had stopped himself thinking such things at this point, since everything so far had been much harder than anticipated.
He now stood in front of the log he had bound in his previous training, yet again, it was his opponent. He decided that his first step, as always, was to just go for it. He drew the chakra up to his hands, performed the hand seals, released the chakra, and finally stabilized and controlled the dragon. The formation of the jutsu was a success, but it hitting its intended target was not. The jutsu had hit short of the log and to the left side of it.
He sat down once more to think about how best to go about hitting the intended target. He came to the realization that he need to use another form of chakra control. He need to control the chakra around the jutsu and within it, to make sure it hit wherever he wanted it to. It was a good thing he had become used to maintain the justu with little focus at this point, or it would have been too much for him to handle.
This time, as he readied himself, kidori pictured the chakra controlling the dragon inot hitting the log. He executed the jutsu and the dragon flew out of the water. He had compensated with the forces from behind and from the right to keep it on track, based on the information he had gathered from his first attempt at the jutsus. This did not work, as the jutsu flew even further off course, over and to the far right of the log. He realized that the way he had used his chakra to control it was unreliable and not the way to control it. If he had done it then way he would need previous knowledge of how his jutsu would act, and there was no guarantee that it would act in the same way as any previous time. He realized it would be better to maintain complete control over the jutsu by using forces all round to control its exact trajectory.
He executed the jutsu one more time, but this time used the forces from all sides as well as the internal chakra to direct the flow of the attack. The result was phenomenal, as the jutsu smashed into the log, just as it had been controlled to do. He realized that this would also be better in a situation where either he or his enemy was also moving at the same time as using the jutsu. The results of his training were paying off, as before him floated the shattered bit of the log that had previously been in its place.
