Strength of the Body
Rank: "C", "B", "A" (“C” Rank, Third Gate)
Skill: Skill / Knowledge / Taijutsu
Effect: This type of knowledge and technique grants the user the capability to withstanding the elements of the Hachimontonkou. They must learn this multiple times. Without this, the Celestial Gates become more destructive toward the body. This allows the user to endure the striking force granted from the gates so that, when they hit an object, their bones do not instantly shatter.
Special: ---
Drawback: Must be learned each time before they go into a new gate.
- For Gates 1-3, they must learn the "C" Rank version.
- For Gates 4-6 they must learn the "B" Rank version.
- For Gates 7 and 8, they must learn the "A" Rank versions.
Description: ---
Limit: Must become a Chakra Gate User.
Shenjie felt his arm move faster than he had ever thought possible. His arm shot into the water, displacing the liquid with pure power as he plunged his hand into the water after the fish that swam by his feet. Shenjie felt his fist clasp tightly around the fish as he picked them out of the stream, and tossed them towards the shore. He made fast work of the fish as he practiced the motion of pulling the fish from the water, feeling his shoulders being worked as he did so. This exercise was designed to build shoulder and punching strength as he pulled his arm back from the punching like motion that he used to pull the fish from the river. His body was in peak condition as he pulled six fish in total from the river at an extremely quick rate that he felt was much faster than a human body should move. His muscle structure was becoming much more powerful than that of an average person who was untrained in body and mind. Shenjie stretched his strained arms as he stepped out of the stream to find a pile of fish at his feet, approximately six in total as he climbed out to continue to train his body’s strength.
“I’m working on it Sensei!” he shouted back hearing her statement clear as day because of his beyond excellent hearing that allowed him to see. Having caught the fish, Shenjie quickly decided that he would have enough time to train his body some more. Quickly jumping up into a hand stand, he quickly began to do push-ups from the awkward position, to train his body’s strength as he felt the fish flop about on the dry land that he had captured them with. “Sorry my aquatic friends, but I have to recover my strength, and a good meal will definitely help with that.” He said as sweat began to roll down his brow as he easily did 30 handstand pushups. Shenjie was determined to do at least 50 as he quickly lowered his body and raised it over and over again. He felt his shoulder muscles and arms being built up as his body molded to his will. Quickly deciding to take on a personal Challenge, Shenjie quickly began to walk on his hands as if they were feet, moving towards the pile of fish. “10 times around the pile, then I can proudly go back with these fish.” He said as he slowly but surely began to make his way around the pile of fish with his hands as a means of transport.
Shenjie felt his core being worked as his body began to work fairly hard towards completing the task he had set for himself. Determination was all that he needed as he quickly began to pick up his walking handstand’s pace as he traveled the fish pile over and over and over again. Shenjie quickly began to feel his body’s strength as he quickly continued to make his way around the pile with his hands. “I can handle this.” He said with ease as he began to get the hang of using his well-toned arms instead of his legs. His arms were already much stronger than that of an average man, so Shenjie found practicing like this much easier than most would find the task. Quickly using his arms and elbows to spring back to a standing position, He quickly scooped up his six fish and quickly ran back towards the camp, using Yoshi-sensei’s voice as the locator beacon.
Shenjie began to sprint back towards their wooden hut as he prepared to again train even while preforming meager tasks such as carrying back fish. His legs propelled him forward with zeal as he quickly began to moderate his breathing, making sure to breathe through his nose, and exhale through the mouth. As he reached his teacher, he gently placed the fish down one by one in hopes that she would be pleased with his findings. “I’m back,” He said quickly jumping on his toes before throwing a jab and a straight punch at a shadow opponent. He felt how powerful his body had become through intense training and constant exercise. “Shall we get to cooking up these bad boys?” he asked as he knew that he would not be of any assistance when it came to cooking. He was strong, but not very deft in the kitchen. Laughing a bit, Shenjie continued to bounce on his toes, making sure to work his calves as he waited for his teacher to respond. Hopefully she would approve of how many fish he had brought back using only his bare hands.
