With what she needed from the barrier-type technique now out of the way, Schatzi thought to gird herself in an armored covering of universal-type chakra. Given her relative adeptness with the art so far, her fine control over her chakra, and her vast reserves of it, she felt that the likelihood that it should prove to be a too-difficult task to maintain a surrounding skin formed of a defensively oriented chakra construction was low.
So to begin, as with the barrier, she positioned herself in such a way so as to have a strong base posture learned from her gymnastics training, with her back straight and her legs shoulder width apart. Her arms were outstretch forward, also distanced by the width of her shoulders, and she allowed her chakra to freely flow forth. She could feel the pleasant tingle of the chakra, the inherent reward given to all those who studied its mysteries.
Once she had hovering in the space between her hands a gleaming sphere of white which was no greater or lesser in size than perhaps a small volleyball, she would slowly swing her arms upward, toward the sky. Such an action, when undertaken with great focus and care, would gradually drag the still-expanding orb up over her head. In that posture she lingered for a time, lazily enjoying the sensation reaching from her core to her fingertips.
Then, when she found that the time was right, she twisted her hands around so that her palms would face outward from herself, twisting also the chakra ball that hovered over her head such that it would become not a spherical creation but instead a ring, wide enough that the original orbicular shape would have been capable of passing through this ring of chakra and had still a slight amount of additional space with which to maneuver.
She then brought her arms down to her sides at a slow pacing, leaving them sitting fully outstretched to either side. Following their path, the ring of chakra expanded, becoming wider and thinner, losing some of its substance to became nearly invisible as the inside edges touched her fingertips. She could feel the residue left behind coating her, protecting her. She relaxed her posture, the ring shrinking down again as it traveled down her legs and vanished. Had she succeeded?
