Shenjie had rested a few days, letting his body recover as he was again ready to attempt to attain the power of the fourth gate. This was an endeavor that could be a life long trial. He exhaled gently, preparing his body as he walked outside into the morning air of the gentle garden that surrounded his home. The felt well rested, and his heart felt at ease as he knelt down in the patio where he had a small table set with tea equipment. He sighed as he thought about the sadness he had encountered a few nights prior. Why live with such grief? He asked himself as he lifted he tea pot and took it into the kitchen.
He began to warm up the pot, letting it boil while he prepared the tea to steep the water in as he inhaled and exhaled, practicing his breathing method. This was needed for him to do any sort of gates technique. He thought about love and he importance of the emotion that he would have to express and realize in is daily life. He slowly submerged the crushed jasmine leaves as she carried the teapot back to his small patio so that he could meditate, and prepare his body for the strenuous training that he was to undergo that day. He removed his robe, leaving him shirtless as he inhaled the scent of the tea.
Tea always reminded him of his mother, and thus his love for the one's he had lost. Loss is a natural state of human being. He had experienced much. He felt the inner chakra within his body swirl with anguish as his crushing pains returned with the thought. He poured himself a glass of the hot tea, letting the scent calm him while he tried to see past these thoughts. His grief would always be with him, but in the same sense he would have to overcome such emotions. He felt his heart beat coming to a stead pace as he relaxed, trying to think positively. He wanted to be relaxed, but this dealing with emotions was difficult. He took another sip of his tea, almost like he was meditating. His body relaxed, and his shoulders slumped as his bare chest felt the breeze around him. He couldn't see where he was, but he could sure feel the surroundings. The running water outside, he smell of his tea. These were things that brought him joy, and more. He tried to focus on the things that brought him joy rather than sorrow. With that thought, he began to feel his chakra naturalizing, flowing as it was intended.
He relaxed, letting his now calm heart think of the benefits of love. He thought about the idea of romantic love, something he knew little about. It wasn't like he was able to sense such things, and even look upon someone who was "attractive". He would never get to experience this sensation, but he still knew that love was a deeper emotion than just simple lust. He thought about love being something that went beyond that feeling of desire, and was encompassed in all aspects of life. He realized that love is something that can be romantic or general. There should be love for all things, and everyone deserves to be loved. All the hate in the world was something that was created out of situation. He also realized that sometimes love could drive people to do things that would sometimes result in death, and his alignment with he Satsui no Hado began to block his chakra flow.
