Pax enters the lush field, ready to finally kick his lazy streak and learn a new move. He had realized he had three swords on him at all times and he didn'tknow how to use them very well. With a quick glance in his basic ninja moves book, he had found the Yaibasattou, a versatile beginner move. After glancing at the book's description a few times, he had memorized what he had needed and headed out to the center of the field, set up his training dummy, and set two of his swords down. Taking his longer katana in hand, Pax took a few steps backuntil he was 10 meters away and drew a line to mark his starting spot. "Alright lets get this over with." He sighs as he tightenshis headband and steadies his hands around the hilt.
As his knuckles grew white Pax held his sword extended infront of him and got ready to dash he gathered chakra into his blade. As his katana began to slightly glow blue he ran as fast as he could into the dummy, and got shot back from the force of the impact. Grabbing his sword from the ground infront of him he gotten angry. The book hadn't made this seem too hard, and he was better than this. Despite the failure, he tried one more time, and as he started running, he tripped and watched his sword get thrown to the side again.
This had forced him to realize that to learn this move he would have to work from the stance up. Pax aligned his right foot forward, square with his shoulder facing the dummy, left leg back leaning on his toes ready to strike. His blade's hilt was curled into his left peck, with his right hand closer to the steel. The chakra drew from his center of balance straight and into
the katana's tip as he bent his knees and launched. As the wind blew by his face while he ran his sword hit the chest of the hay wood and straw training dummy. The very point of the katana had released a tiny pulse out which had pushed Pax back further than he ran, disarming his sword from his tight grip.
"There surely has to be something else im forgetting." He shouts as he tries to correct the mistakes. The stance had felt perfect to him, and the chakra shouldn't have been to hard to channel. Needless to say the thick headed genin was dusting himself off and getting ready
to keep on working. Pax replicated his stance from before, still sword-less and ran at the dummy a few times to try to maximize his speed. After he had felt confident he had grabbed the blade from the turf, retook his stance, calmed his nerves and... Strike. This time he had not been disarmed, knocked down, or even moved. but he didnt channel the chakra. Breaking down the jutsu further he tested how fast he could strike the dummy normally. Almost two hours pass by as if they were minutes, and eventually Pax had been training for almost 4 hours straight.
Wiping sweat off his brow, Pax exhales heavily as he takes his stance. He closes his eyes as he calms himself for a minute while he collects his thoughts and concentrate his chakra into his Uchigatana. Thinking only of his blade and his enemy he lunges and heaves his sword into the wooden body. The ninja watches in awe as wood, hay, straw, and his katana all
explode into different directions. While the lighter debris fell slowly in the breeze he collected the wood and his sword to get ready one more time. Once the dummy was set up and ready to be used, Pax went thru the three motions, stance, mind, and body. Pax put his all into one final blow, as if it was the last attack he'd ever land. He watched in slow motion as the chakra burst into a perfect cone shape infront of him and once again the guts of the dummy rained down.
All he could do was cheer, he had finally did it right and destroyed his dummy beyond repair. He wanted to keep going for a little while longer so he had moved from his open field to a forested area. Aiming up a line of thick trees, the genin readied himself as he had all day and thrusted his sword thru a young tree or two. The trees had been chopped up and charred with Pax's chakra. As his sweat hit the ground he, went again and again until he had finally fallen over from exhaustion. The young ninja let out a sigh as he grabbed all his stuff and limped home to a nice hot meal.
