The Jab Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: A quick, straight punch thrown with the lead hand from the guard position. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description:Picture Stand with your feet hip distance apart. Step your right foot back 18-24 inches with the weight of your right leg on the ball of your foot (right heel is somewhat elevated and the knees are slightly bent). Bring your right fist close to your right cheek bone and your left fist slightly in front of it about jaw height. Pull your elbows in towards your ribs so that they line up somewhat below your fists. Push off of the ball of the right foot, bend the left knee slightly and start to extend the left hand in a pushing type motion (there should be a subtle rotation as your left hand goes forward your right shoulder moves back). You may also rotate the fist so that when it reaches the desired destination your left palm will be facing down. Retract the left hand as fast as you extended it and return to the original position. Remember before punching relax the hand, snap it forward and clinch before making contact. Do your best to strike with the first two knuckles and keep your wrist in neutral position upon impact. Aim six to eight inches beyond your target. Extend the arm only about 90-95 percent. Keep your chin tucked down toward your chest--this protects your jaw from exposure to being hit. Bring your hand back as fast as you throw it. Move your head on an angle as you throw the punch. Limit: Must learn in a gym that teaches Bokushingu (Boxing), Must know Upright Stance or Semi-Crouch
"I guess it's time..."
As Tetsu would approach him, Kinzoku would ready himself. Trying to stay light on him feet, Kinzoku would start bouncing on the balls of his feet. He wanted to make sure he was as agile as possible. Before Tetsu was in arms reach, Kinzoku would relax his shoulders a bit more before bringing his fists up towards his jaw. Trying to get comfortable, Kinzoku would also spread his legs shoulder width. He would also bring his right foot back about a foot and a half from his left one.
In this position, Kinzoku would switch from his mobile position to a more secure one with both feet planted on the floor. With his position now stable, Kinzoku would extend his left arm and throw a jab. This would put most of his weight on his left foot which would now be flat. As his left leg was now bent, this position was perfect for Kinzoku's pushing motion. After his left arm extended, his hand would turn so that the palm of his closed fist was facing downward.
Extending his body would cause Kinzoku's hips to rotate which would not bring Kinzoku's right shoulder back. Though he was in motion, his right fist would still cover his jaw and Kinzoku would even go so far as to tuck in his chin to further protect his jaw. When his arm would reach about ninety percent of its full extent, Kinzoku would clench his fist. Immediately after this motion, Kinzoku would draw back his jab and do it once more.
Repeating this motion, Kinzoku watched as Tetsu moved in on him. As the gap closed, he'd switch back to his bouncing motion. Hopping on the balls of his feet, Kinzoku would get ready for whatever it was that Tetsu was cooking up in that mind of his. When Tetsu was in reach Kinzoku watched Tetsu's hips rotate as if he was going to imitate Kinzoku's jabbing motion. But instead of a upper body strike, Tetsu dropped low and made a motion similar to a sweeping motion.
Already in motion, Kinzoku easily hopped back a few feet, making sure he jumped high enough that both his feet passed over and back safely. The fact that Tetsu was not too close and Kinzoku was on the balls of his feet made it an easy dodge. After Tetsu had gotten back up, Kinzoku would take a couple steps forward and continue his repetitive jabbing motion. Though Tetsu surprised Kinzoku with the lower body attack, it wouldn't halt Kinzoku too much. Now he was on the attack!
"If only he'd fall for the jab."
The jabs were just a set up. Kinzoku was just jabbing to observe Tetsu's reaction. From there he would react with a real attack of counter attack. But that was all dependent on what Tetsu did in response to the jabs.

Slipping Rank: "C" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: "Slipping" is the act of moving from side to side to avoid a punch (generally a straight or uppercut). Usually you can slip by simply making a small head or body defense. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Starting Position Left-leg forward fighting stance. As the attacker's punch develops, move your head sideways and in, toward the dead side of the punch (i.e., if a left punch is thrown, move to the right and inward; if a right punch is thrown, move to the left and inward.) The motion should be large enough to evade the punch, but still as small as possible (Don't exaggerate the motion). Tips be sure the movement is to the side and Inward so that you can give counterattacks. (If User knows Slipping Outside, and Slipping Inside in Boxing, the user does not need to learn this Technique.) Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know Combative in Level 1 - Yellow Belt.
Tetsu stood there, retrieving his low round kick (which just a note is a standing kick not a sweep XD) as Kinzoku jumped backwards to avoid the kick. Realistically a simple back step or kicking defense would have been more viable; however Kinz was new at fighting like this, and he couldn’t fault him for learning. Tetsu would wait for Kinzoku to engage him as he wasn’t an aggressive fighter, he was a reactive fighter. Moving his head to side to side as he watched Kinzoku approaching, watching his body instead of looking at his face as he needed to know what his body was doing in order to keep an accurate gauge on what was going on as he prepared himself, slipping his head side to side, just as a boxer would in the situation presented. Tetsu wasn’t a boxer of course, but his techniques were derived from boxing and other sources as Krav Maga was an adaptive combat system and his Aikijitsu blended with the idea of moving with the opponent’s motion.
Kinz was coming at Tetsu with a series of jabs as Tetsu figured he would rather avoid than deflect the blows. It was Kinz’s first spar with him after all, so going all out and throwing a takedown counter now might be counterproductive to his development as a fighter. Moving his head to the right, stepping back so that his left foot was in the lead, even though it was against his handedness, he had been taught first how to fight orthodox as all Krav Maga fighters commonly are. Slipping his head right, not moving much of his body other than his hips and knees a little bit as he moved his head so that Kinz’s punch would brush by his ear. It was almost like a head tilt rather than an exaggerated motion. Tetsu was keeping the movement small and compact, just enough to avoid the punches that were coming his way. This first move was only evasive, as he didn’t move in for a counter. Rather it would have been hard to move in for a counter with the first jab anyway. Kinzoku had figured out how to jab efficiently; which was quite impressive for his first time in the ring. Tetsu let his punch return as he cocked back and threw another jab (as I remember you mention them being repetitive.
Tetsu watched the shoulders as Kinz developed his next punch. The objective of these slips was to move into a position to counter attack. Tetsu moved his head, this time slight to the right to slip the punch as the first moved past his ear. This move required him to step back though, as it would have put him into the range of the right hand if he didn’t take the back step. Tetsu’s hands were still up by his face, not like Kinz were they were close to his chin, but more spread out, covering the inside zone which was defined in Krav Maga. His guard wasn’t tucked to say the least. Extending his left arm into a jab, Tetsu made sure that Kinzoku didn’t step in, using this moment to back up and reassess his range. They were in close quarters, 1 Maai, and it would require Tetsu to keep his head and understand when it was that he was supposed to move. His jab was quick so it returned to his face when the oncoming attacks continued as Tetsu backed up some more, avoiding the strikes by slipping and retreating, using his hands to guard when needed. He was close enough to the ropes that he would need to keep them in mind as he prepared to move his body once again.
Since Kinz was just testing the waters, Tetsu avoided with the slipping motion once again; however, this time when he did so, he used his shoulder to feint an attack, and instead of stepping back, Tetsu instead threw a front kick with his now leading left leg. It was going to be a weaker kick for the most part; however it would be enough to push Kinz back, and was not the leg one would expect to see a kick coming from. Tetsu wasn’t going to throw an elbow or something bazaar quite yet; however he did keep in mind that more tactical takedowns were possible, especially when using Jujitsu or Aikido. Tetsu was going to stick to boxing just for now, so that Kinz could learn how to fight his own way rather than taking on someone else’s mantle. The kick wasn’t hard, and would give Tetsu a little space to move around. This also would give Kinz a moment to think about how he was going to use his other hand. The right straight, an attack that for Tetsu was normally a left, was an attack that would require a bit more delicacy rather than simply throwing punches. Tetsu could even visualize slipping the right, the counter attacks resulting from such being much more powerful than those derived from a jab.

Parrying With the Gloves Rank: D Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: To parry a user must know how to parry. They must know and see the attack coming towards the user. The user must also know when the attack is going to come. Special: --- Drawback: Depending on the rank the user knows in this technique depends on how well they may Parry without harming themselves. Description: NOTE: Only works when the user parries with their gloves or hands. When the user learns this technique, depending on what technique an opponent hits against them the user is able to parry without taking a hit. This means in order to parry attacks that are "C" rank, the user must know Parrying With the Gloves "C" rank. The problem with this technique is that the user will not know if they can parry an attack or not. It the user parries an attack that the user is incapable of doing so the attack goes through and smashes into the user. If the user is able to, then the user may simply move the attack to another direction making a counter come easier against the opponent. Limit: Must learn in a gym that teaches Bokushingu (Boxing), Must know Upright Stance or Semi-Crouch.
Kinzoku would watch as Tetsu would continue to slip in and around his attacks. For Kinzoku, this was fine. He would continue to throw the same jab nonetheless. Kinzoku figure if he would repeat the same dull attack, Tetsu could find an opening and would close in to attack. Luckily, after Tetsu dodging a few of Kinzoku's jab, it would happen. Tetsu would cease to slip away from Kinzoku's attack and switch to offense.
"Got him!"
...or so Kinzoku thought. As Tetsu would feint his attack, Kinzoku would take the bait. His eyes would widen at the fact that Tetsu would drop his guard enough to actually attack back with no hesitation. Smiling, Kinzoku would begin to retract his jab and prepare himself to switch hands and throw a real punch. But half way through, Tetsu seemed to switch up his attack.
Instead of throwing a punch, as Kinzoku assumed, Tetsu's position became more of a kicking assault. The expression on Kinzoku's face would change from excited with overconfidence, to one of surprise and disappointment. Unfortunately for Kinzoku, he was in a bad predicament and had to act fast. Thinking as quickly as he could, Kinzoku could do nothing but change up his plan, mid assault.
As Kinzoku was still bringing his jabbing hand in from it's prior assault (which Tetsu was countering), he would halt it in the middle of it's retraction. Also, he would extend his other arm, as he was going to before. But instead of attacking, Kinzoku would use this other hard to assist his other hand. With both hands stretched out partially, Kinzoku would block Tetsu's kick.
when Tetsu's kick would reach Kinzoku's hands, he would extend them to sort of push off of Tetsu's foot. This served for two reasons. One was to make distance between the two, and the second was the flow the energy so Kinzoku wouldn't take much damage, if any. After parrying Tetsu's kick, Kinzoku would return to his semi-crouch stance and laugh. It was quick thinking on his part and the fact that he pulled that out of nowhere was even more comical. Concentrating on landing an attack, Kinzoku would focus once more.
"He throws a lot of kicks. I'm at a disadvantage since his legs are longer than my arms. I'm going to need to get him closer to connect."
Readying himself, Kinzoku would quickly bring himself together again, and slowly make his way back closer to Testu to continue his assault. For now Kinzoku would try to parry Tetsu's attacks in an attempt to get closer.

Hook Punch Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: A hook punch is generally suitable when your opponent is close. Rather than punching straight ahead, you bend your elbow and punch around your opponent's defense, aiming at the side of his face or body. Body movement is extremely important when executing a hook punch. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Starting Position Left-leg forward fighting stance. Send your left fist forward, bringing your elbow up so that your forearm is parallel to the floor. The elbow should remain bent as your hand travels to the target, the meaty part (the pinky end of the fist) should remain down. Rotate your left shoulder and hip forward and inward, adding power in the direction of the punch. Make contact with your first two knuckles against the side of your opponent's jaw or body. Pivoting the left (front) foot will add power to the left (or forward) hook punch. Recoil. The fastest way to recover from the hook punch is to simply drop your elbow down. This brings your hand up into a guard position. Then rotate your body back into a normal fighting stance. Tips For beginners, we emphasize punching with the pinky down to protect the head. Once you have practiced, you can rotate your fist so that the palm faces down. (If User knows The Hook in Boxing, the user does not need to learn this Technique.) Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know Combatives in Level 1 - Yellow Belt.
Tetsu was pretty pleased that Kinzoku seemed to paying attention as he parried his front kick. The good thing about having chosen to kick with his front leg was that when it was deflected, it made it easier to plant his foot as he used the push Kinzoku gave to spin his foot around in a small circle before he planted his foot and quickly pressed in some more as he threw a pair of jabs before thinking about what kind of punch he could throw as he, instead of retracting his jabbing arm from the second strike, Changed the angle of the punch, making it a much more horizontal stroke as he reached his arm out, Twisting his shoulder as he swung what Kinzoku might recognize as a long range hook as Tetsu was not compressing the strike like one would in close quarters, but was instead using it as a means of simply changing the angle of the long range punches as the left handed jab would swing as Kinzoku’s head. The power of the punch came from his twisting hip and use of the leg as he pressed onward.
The power of the punch was behind the subtle weight Tetsu applied to the punch as he goal wasn’t to really hurt Kinzoku, but instead was using this move as a means to open up his maneuvers as he would use the left swing to side step his stance to the left, circling around Kinzoku as he would throw a retreating jab just after making the move as he would throw a few punches so that Kinzoku could show him a bit of his defense. Tetsu wasn’t trying to hurt him, so they were at a normal degree of power as he restrained from thinking about how he could use Kinzoku’s momentum to destroy him. He instead wanted to get him thinking. Tetsu mentally visualized the hooked punch as he thought about how it made it much easier to turn away from such attacks as they were normally used for close quarters combat. For an out boxer like Tetsu, he instead used such a tool to a different means. The Hook had different uses, just as a hammer could do more than one thing. Tetsu instead used the hook at a much longer range than that of what an infighter like Kinzoku might.
Tetsu used the hook to create distance and to change the angle for which the punch was coming from. The hook made it much easier to side step and move around the ring as he could use such a swinging punch to force the other party to duck, dodge, or block the strike, all of which would occupy his right hand and give Tetsu the space to back up and get back to his comfortable range. The swinging punch was a formidable tool to add to his arsenal as he figured he would be able to teach Kinzoku a thing about boxing as he was very excited to see how Kinzoku would respond. He had options; however Tetsu figured he would probably duck down like many infighters would. It was a common evasive move to use against a Hook as Tetsu figured Kinzoku would understand a little bit more about what it meant to fight hand to hand as he was making it much easier for him to teach Kinzoku by showing him rather than doing some drills. Kinzoku was more of an active learner after all. Tetsu was trying his best to be a decent teacher for the kiddo as he was no master of Taijutsu; however he did know a little bit and he was pleased to share some of his knowledge about fighting with his younger. He felt his heart racing as he kept his right hand up by his face as he performed the maneuver and quickly returned his left hand to the standard fighting stance as he kept up his guard.
Tetsu mentally visualized how the punch worked on the horizontal axis as he did his best to remember such a factor as he could throw another hook, but it wouldn’t be beneficial to him, as he was focused mostly on defense. He wasn’t a fan of getting hit, and it was very likely that kinzoku punched pretty hard. He had been acquainted with throwing hooks since the first time he had boxed against that stranger in the land of sound almost a year and a half prior as he could still feel the hand hitting the fellow’s guard as his gloves were boxing gloves in that instance instead of the open handed gauntlet gloves. He was much more experienced now in the martial arts as he thought about his punch, preparing for Kinzoku’s response as he had his moves planned out as he made his move, following the formula he had prepared previously as he would respond to Kinzoku’s parry.

Side Position Rank: "E" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: Side ground position. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: The Position Lie on one elbow, one hip, and one base leg. Bring your top hand up to protect your face. Hold your top leg up, knee drawn back, ready to kick. If the attacker is farther off, you may rise onto your lower (base) hand, rather than your elbow, but only if the attacker is farther away. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know Combatives in Level 1 - Yellow Belt.
*Flashback*
Tightening his Yellow belt around his off white Judogi style Aikidogi that he had decided to use for his Judo training that came in tow with being an Aikidoka. “Student’s to ground position,” The instructor demanded as Tetsu couldn’t help but not like the guy’s demeanor as he laid down on his back, preparing for the very light training drill that was surely going to follow suit. Planting his foot and lifting one up into what was known as a guard position, Tetsu rolled his body a bit to the side, switching which foot was facing his imaginary attacker as he raised one foot before putting it down only to be replaced by the other. The start of the exercise was simple, but the idea was to understand how to keep someone in your guard away. Using the legs as a means of deterrence was definitely an okay thing, especially when one ended up on the ground. Tetsu couldn’t see well without his glasses, but he was doing his best in the very strange environment as he rolled around on the matted floor, attempting to get the feel for moving on the ground. It was a very strange feeling indeed. His balance was upon his hip almost as he used his feet, choosing which side to guard as he utilized the open guard to the maximum of its defensive capabilities.
Tetsu planted his hands, figuring it would make it much easier to direct his body by using his hands as he swiftly swiveled like a cannon on the ground, maneuvering his body so that he could always be facing his guard towards his opponent. It was from this position that one could easily throw a kick that could push the opponent away long enough to get back up to use Aikido, but even more so it was a position from which one could bring the opponent to the ground and take the top position. That being said, Tetsu was still only focusing on the moving while on his back as he swiveled a little bit like a silly little child, spinning on the mat. It might have looked funny, but it was a basic maneuver for Jujitsu and Judo, focusing on the movement on the ground in order to control the situation much more avidly. It was a way to keep one’s body moving and in positon, without compromising space. That being said, it didn’t mean that Tetsu didn’t still hate it. He really felt uncool doing the sliding motion on the dojo mat as he prepared for the next exercise.

"!!"
Just as Kinzoku thought he had a game plan down, Tetsu switched it up on him. Kinzoku admired the fact that his squad leader was rather lively instead of throwing the same routine attacks at him. This made sparring more fun and lively as they weren't just practicing some routine. Even though this was interesting for the young Mabuki, it also meant he had to be on his toes... figuratively and literally. If this would have been the case prior to Tetsu's jab attacks, then Kinzoku would have been able to dodge the jabs a lot easier than it would be for him to do it now. But this was not the case at this current moment.
Unfortunately for Kinzoku, he was not expecting the jabs thrown at him and for that. Due to this, he had not properly positioned himself to just dodge the as Tetsu had done with his own jabs. Instead, Kinzoku would have to rely on his hands that were already out. Switching himself from blocking kicks, Kinzoku raised his hands a bit more, making it easier to parry upper body attacks. When the first jab came, Kinzoku attempted to move his face to the outside of the punch while using one hand to push the arm of Tetsu's initial jab.
Having a background such as Kinzoku's, fighting was pretty much most of his life. He was raised as a savage and brute warrior. It was not until recent that Kinzoku had started to learn self control. For some, people would call this a weakness, but Kinzoku was not that weak minded. Kinzoku knew that every experience in his life was a stepping stone to greatness and every past memory had a lesson to be learned. This belief is what helped Kinzoku become the fighter he was today, and was exactly why he had the knowledge he did when it came to fighting.
Kinzoku attempting to push Tetsu's arm was not just a parry, it was meant to throw Tetsu off balance. If Kinzoku was successful, Tetsu would have no choice but to follow the motion and spin around or have his abdomen exposed for a hit. Not to mention, parrying a fist, is a lot harder to predict than an arm is. The trajectory of Tetsu's fist could change at any moment and Kinzoku would miss. But the movement of the arm was a lot easier to predict. The movement of the arm came from the shoulder and was a much bigger target to parry.
If he were successful in pushing Tetsu's arm, Kinzoku would send two light jabs to Tetsu's side and step back. The jabs had no intention of hurting Tetsu, it would just be for contact purposes and to push Tetsu back a bit. But in the odd case that Kinzoku would miss, he would be on his way to being met by a hook punch from Tetsu. But that would not be a problem for Kinzoku as he had accomplished what he wanted; getting close to Tetsu. If the hook punch were to make it's way to Kinzoku after his attempt to parry, Kinzoku would step in towards Tetsu.
Though stepping in would seem crazy to someone else, Kinzoku thought it made perfect sense. Stepping towards Tetsu would mean his hook punch would be weaker since he would not be able to full extend and swing his arm ad his hand would end up behind Kinzoku. Instead, in order to make contact, Tetsu would have to punch closer. But that was not all, not really thinking, Kinzoku would reactively change the side of his face to steel. He wasn't trying to hurt Tetsu, but it was more of his body's way of defending itself.
But it would not stop there, not only was Kinzoku willing to take the blow to get closer to Tetsu, but he was going to trade some of his own. Now that he was finally within his striking distance, Kinzoku would attempt to send one medium jab at Tetsu's chest in an attempt to knock the wind out of him before moving a few feet to the direction Tetsu's hook pushed him. For right now, if Kinzoku was going to trade with Tetsu, he would have to make it worth it. Knocking the wind out of someone was definitely worth it as it would be the best way to attack Tetsu's endurance directly and make him fatigued. The less air to breathe, the harder it would be for him to recover.

Wrist Release: Opposite-Side Hand (Hitchhike Out) Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: This technique should be applied if the other party grabs you on the opposite/cross side (e.g, grabs your right hand with his right hand, reaching across your body.) Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Starting Position Attacker grabs your left wrist with his left hand. Rotate your wrist so that your thumb goes toward the weak part of the grip. Pull in the direction of your shoulder, making a hitchhiking motion. Move away, keep your hands up. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know the Fundamentals in Level 1 - Yellow Belt.
Kyodai looked over to the two others practicing in this dojo. This was the Krav Maga Dojo that his friend had introduced him too. Despite his supposing to learn hard and soft techniques, he really did focus of soft techniques. He had been paired off with another newbie within Krav Maga, but he was becoming rapidly bored with it. This time his partner was suppose to grab his cross side.
Kyodai allowed the kid to grab his cross side. The kid grabbed his right wrist with his right hand. Kyodai rotated his wrist to his thumb went to the weakest part of the grip. Then he pulled in the direction of his shoulder making a hitchhiking motion like they were taught. And moving away, keeping his hands up for defense. This was the basics of this soft move, a wrist lock release.
Kyodai did this exercise a few time with the kid and it was way to easy for him to do this. With also practicing the various grabs of Aikido, made it that he knew the various grips fairly well. When it came to his turn to hold onto the kid he sued his off hand to let the kid have a chance. And the kid couldn't get it right for the life of him. It was actually kind of embarrassing to watch this kid struggle to get out of his grip.
Funny enough Kyodai wasn't even making it hard on purpose he was standing there like a rock trying to talk the kid through it. And he wasn't having much success as the kid just continued to flail about. Kyodai wondered if the kid had some sort emotional or mental problem that didn't allow him to listen when under the grip of someone else. Maybe it was something akin to a stress disorder cause by something traumatic.
Either way though not wanting to torture the kid, Kyodai let go when he was sure letting go wouldn't make the kid go flying backwards. It wasn't easy but he accomplished it and suggested that they just practice him breaking free for now until one of the instructors are free to teach him. Kyodai had grow slightly uncomfortable around the kid. As he was practicing some more he looked back at the other two nearby.
Kyodai somewhat recognized one of them as coming out of the Kage's office at the same time he had went in. But other than that he didn't know either one of them. But they looked much more skilled at Krav Maga and martial arts in general.

Wrist Release: Two Hands Held High Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: This technique is useful when the other party holds both of your wrists are up. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Starting Position Stand facing your attacker, your elbows bent and hands in front of you. As the attacker grabs your wrists, make an inward circular motion with both hands. Move your left hand clockwise and your right hand counterclockwise. As you make the motion, drop your chin to your chest, lowering your face and decreasing exposure to a headbutt, which may be intentional or accidental. As your attacker's hands release your wrists, take a small step back to increase the distance. Finish the circular motion so that your hands come outside of his hand and up in a modified fighting stance (in other words, up, but not in any sort of aggressive posture.) Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know the Fundamentals in Level 1 - Yellow Belt.
So Kyodai continued with his soft technique training with the kid. This time the kid had to grab both of his wrists. These were all wrist releases, he kind of wondered where the rest of the soft techniques were but eventually mentally shrugged on it. For the open palm strikes and various defensive moves at least mixed well for his own personal way of fighting. He was actually fairly decent for such low level fighting.
It was Kyodai's stretching himself in so many martial arts styles that made him less skilled in any one martial art. Further he was still keeping up with his medical training, but there he learned of that his primary surgical tool could also have defensive benefits. Though here especially against a kid it wasn't right to go all out on. So he held himself in check and counseled himself patience.
Kyodai let both of his wrists get grabbed by the kid and pushed up high. Normally he would just kick out of this kind of attack but he was learning a soft way of doing it. And this may be a better way for some situations. Kyodai made a inward circular motion with both of his hands, his left hand clockwise and his right hand counterclockwise. At the same time he dropped his head down tucking in his chin.
The kid accidently head-butted him, but it was alright as he continued the circular motions until his hands were free. He continued the motions and took a step back to complete the movement. Kyodai ended up in a modified defensive posture which was fine for him. While he did have some aggressive tendencies it was more about defense when he fought. Breaking grips and getting to a defendable distance.
Kyodai steadied his posture and finished the motions and then dropped his hands and bowed to the kid. While the kid may lack the ability to learn these soft techniques himself at the moment he did make a decent partner for going through the motions slowly. And Kyodai honored that in him besides it was polite to bow at the beginning and end of each lesson. And this ended this particular lesson.

Wrist Release: Hands Held Down Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: Use this technique when the other party holds both your hands down. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Starting Position Attacker grabs both wrists from above. Bring both hands inward and upward toward your face, making sure to curl your fingers to prevent accidentally poking yourself in the eyes. Take a small step backward to create distance. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know the Fundamentals in Level 1 - Yellow Belt.
Kyodai and the kid continued with their grab and release training as the resumed their positions for combat. Since Krav Maga doesn't require one to be in a ready position it was more for their mental stability than for any of the techniques they are learning. Again the kid was to grab both of his wrists, but this time to hold them down. Kyodai was more than ready for this but he had to let the kid get his hold on Kyodai. And so the kid rushed forward and did just that.
Kyodai then followed the clear instructions of how to break from his hold. Both hands were brought inward and upward while twisting his wrists. It effectively breaks the grip the kid had on him. These exercises were a little to easy but he kept up the practice to get it down right. Finishing the maneuver would be stepping back and creating distance, it was this part that bugged him now a days.
Yea a bit of distance was good for some defenses but as proved with his fight with Loki, distance was the bane to his ability to effectively work. All his ability lies in close combat sometimes in very close combat, just like the rest of his clan. Unlike some he never learned how to use a bow or even a crossbow correctly. And the same with throwing knives and the like, while he could throw easily enough it wasn't his forte.
Kyodai shook his head from the rumination and did as the instructor said was suppose to happen. Again they practice move a few more times until it was obvious he was good enough with it. He was even reflexively curling his finger at the right time so not to poke himself. Soft techniques like these were his forte, and normally he would counter with some Jyuuken. But this was training and not battle and he was a doctor, not a frontline men.
After awhile one of the many instructors in the place called the kid from his pairing with Kyodai to pair him with another kid. The instructor signaled Kyodai to take a break while they find him another partner. They had been watched and it was realized that it was a bad match to match him with a kid. He needed someone more advanced to practice with if he was going to improve quickly.

Hammerfist to the Side Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: A hammerfist attack normally performed against the side of the opponent. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: Hammerfist to the side may be practiced from a fighting stance or a passive stance. Because it is often used in reaction to a surprise attack, we generally present the strike from a passive stance first. Starting Position Passive Stance. Move your left hand sideways and upward, elbow slightly bent. As your hand moves toward its target, rotate your hip and shoulder. Tuck your chin. Your rising arm should cover you as well as strike. Pivot your outside foot and step in toward your target to make sure weight is being transferred into the punch. Tips Add torque by rotating the fist: at the beginning of the punch, the back of the hand faces the target. Just before contact, rotate the meaty part of your hand out to make contact. As with all punches, you should recoil after striking. Depending on the user's class depends on the strength of the attack. •"D" Class - A normal attack that has no knockback. •"C" Class - An attack that has a knockback of 2 meters. •"B" Class - An attack that has a knockback of 4 meters. •"A" Class - An attack that has a knockback of 8 meters. •"S" Class - An attack that has a knockback of 16 meters. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know the Fundamentals in Level 1 - Yellow Belt.
While Kyodai was taking a break from partnered movement he went over to one of the punching dummies. He was set to practice some hard movements since that was his weakest area. Not that in a real fight he would use much of the hard movements but they built the basis for some of the other lessons later on. So he had to learn how to use a hammerfist to the side.
Kyodai used the Hammerfist in a reaction pose. He was presenting the strike from a passive stance first. He moved your left hand sideways and upward, elbow slightly bent. His hand moves toward its target, rotating hip and shoulder. He tucked in his chin. His rising arm should cover him well as striking the dummy. Pivoting to the outside foot and stepping towards the dummy to make sure weight is behind his strike.
To add torque to his strike, Kyodai rotated his fist at the beginning of his punch movement. The back of Kyodai's hand faced the dummy. And just before the contact, he rotated the meaty part of his hand out to make contact. It was a solid hit to the striking dummy. Kyodai while not great with hard attacks still could put a lot of force into his strikes. His size and weight meant while he wasn't big he wasn't without muscle.
Kyodai recoiled with the strike like he was suppose to. It wasn't a pretty hit but it was solid. He decided to practice it up a few times to work on his striking ability and more important to him his precision. That was the most important part of his style was his precision in his strikes. it also blended nicely with Jyuuken and Dian Xue Shu. Those required absolute precision and Aikido was fairly accurate as well.
While striking kyodai wasn't paying as much attention to the other students as he normally would. For normally he would use his god light sight to develop his predictive ability. Though he wasn't nearly skilled enough yet for that. But reading an opponent is almost as important as knowing how to strike well. But then again he was just beginning on his life as a shinobi and martial artist.

Hammerfist to the Back Rank: "D" Skill: TaiJutsu Effect: Hammerfist to the back is essentially the same as hammerfist to the side, but with a greater turn to meet an attack coming from behind. Special: --- Drawback: --- Description: You should practice it to develop the concept that you can strike in a full circle around your body. Starting Position Passive Stance. Look over your right shoulder. Move your left hand sideways and upward, elbow slightly bent. As your hand moves toward its target, rotate your hip and shoulder. Tuck your chin. Your rising arm should cover as well as strike. Pivot your outside foot and step in toward your target to make sure weight is being transfered into the punch. On contact, your elbow should still be somewhat bent. The bent elbow should pass your target to help the punch penetrate; it also helps prevent hyperextension of the joint. Tips Add torque by rotating the fist: at the beginning of the punch, the back of the hand faces the target. Just before contact, rotate the meaty part of your hand out to make contact. As with all punches, you should recoil after striking. Knockback ability is brought into this attack depending on how well the user knows Hammerfist to the Side. Limit: Must learn from a Master of Krav Maga. Must know Hammerfist to the Side.
Kyodai continued practicing with the striking dummy to now to do the same technique but further out of alignment from him. This was to get the concept of being able to hit anywhere around him even behind. It was about 360 defense but he hadn't gotten to the point of actual defenses. He was still in the stage of learning all the basic strikes of Krav Maga. But this put him one more step forward.
Looking over his right shoulder, Kyodai moved his left hand sideways and upward. His elbow was slightly bent. As Kyodai's hand moved toward striking dummy, he rotated his hip and shoulder. As part of the maneuver he tucked in his chin. Kyodai's rising arm should cover him as well as strike the opponent. Pivoting to his outside foot and stepping in toward the dummy to make sure weight is being transferred into the punch.
On contact, Kyodai's elbow was still somewhat bent. The bent elbow passed the target, a striking dummy. This helped the punch penetrate. It also helping prevent hyperextension of his joint in using this kind of hard strike. Kyodai added torque by rotating his striking fist. At the beginning of Kyodai's strike, the back of the hand faced the striking dummy. Kyodai just before contact, rotated the meaty part of his hand out to make contact. This added enough power to shake the dummy.
Kyodai practiced this too a few times as to get that precision for all this was a longer extended and more twist added hammerfist to the side. He was boring of striking the dummy8 but he needed the baby steps before he could learn to run with it. Besides it wasn't so bad, it was better than the exchange with a kid. He was at least putting for great effort into his martial arts.
Kyodai's usual busy mind was even focused on what he was doing. He was now better in Krav Maga than he was in either his home style of Jyuuken or his favored moves of Aikido. It was weird how he mixed and matched various learning of styles and made them his own. More surprising though was how he had fire and ice in his Jyuuken without a release which didn't technically violate its tenets. But Krav MAga was so free of such restrictions he didn't have to worry.
