Kisa couldn't help but feel like he had understood her. It was strange as he looked her right in the eyes, mouthing something that reminded her of the mouth movements for her name. He put his hand on her shoulder and she felt like she was stuck there for just a moment as they kept eye contact and she could have sworn that she saw a glimpse of recognition, but only for a moment. She didn't know what to do, who to go to, or even what was causing this memory repression. She reached over and grabbed the hand from her shoulder, being sure to be gentle as turned his hand over so that she could see his palm.
Taking her finger and tracing letters into Alex's palm, Kisa was trying to let him feel her phrase, figuring it would help. "A...L...E...X" she traced on his hand as she fed him his own name before continuing to write on his hand. " D...o...U...K...N...O...W...W...H...O...I...A...M...?" She said finishing with a question mark as she extended her right palm for Alex to respond as she needed to confirm that he knew...that he remembered.
Alex looked down at his hand... What was going on? The question she wrote on his hand. "Do you know who I am?" Alex frowned as he looked at it. His heart seemed to skip a beat as for the first time he remembered the last few minutes. Shiki had grabbed hold of the feeling of Deja Vu and for the first time he could remember not remembering. Alex pulled out a pen and a note pad that he had used for collecting payment info and started to write down on the paper.

Kisa felt a sudden feeling of relief as Alex seemed to realize to the very least that she could hear him properly enough to speak with him directly. She beamed up at him, still being dwarfed by the much taller male even in the bar stool. She extended her arms out, reading the paper as she made a grabbing gesture to the pen and writing pad. Taking a moment to think about what it was that she was going to write, she began to scribble as best she could to have him understand.
"My name is Kisara, we've been friends since we were kids." She wrote hastily as she didn't want to be too confused. "But you don't remember do you?" She asked as normally Alex would have understood her sign language enough to interpret it. What had happened to her friend?
Alex grabbed the note pad and red through her message. He would furrow his hair and look at her. He was still a bit skeptical but he would bite into it anyways. From what he could tell she was honest alright.
He wrote down on the note pad. "I was home schooled. That makes no sense." Alex distinctly had memories of his accountant father and mother who worked at a flower shop.

Kisara sighed as she quickly read what Alex had written down in response as she couldn't believe what he was telling her. Gently taking the pencil and note pad in her hand again, she began to scribble down on the flat yellow pages of the barkeep pad, making sure to make her hand writting as legible as possible,
"Your dad wasn't an accountant, he was legendary, known as the drunken master of Kusagakure, That posture you took a while back was one of the strange moves that you surely picked up from the guy? If your dad was an accountant, then my grandmother is the Kusakage and still breathing."
She finished as she kind of chuckled at the grim fact that Alex's memories had been modified. She had come to realize it only now that he had explained some of the differences from the truth opposed to an absence of memory. Something big had happened to her friend and she didn't know what, which made it really hard for her to understand what to do next. She continued to write on the pad as she figured she would attempt asking him about it.
"You don't seem to remember much, do you want to?"
She asked figuring it was his choice to make if he wanted to remember. For all she knew, there was a good reason for him forgetting about her and the rest of his past; however Kisara just couldn't see the point in erasing one's memories. Even though we live with haunting pains, it's that pain that reminds us of how good life is to live, and what it is that's worth protecting in this world...how could someone give up on that?
Alex looked back and sighed. He grabbed the note pad and started writing down. "My dad was an accountant. No idea what you even me by a drunken fighter." Alex smiled as he pushed the note pad back. Sure Alex was good at a good drunken brawl... In fact he was really good. But to say that there was a serious martial prowess behind it was a joke.

Kisara was so frustrated as she took the pad from Alex and read what he had said. "you're such an idiot" She sighed at him with her hands before going back to the pad, figuring that just telling him what the truth, he had to see it with his own eyes. He was not only entirely blank on memory, but it had been modified so that he was someone other than the boy she had grown up with.
"Let me show you that truth." Was all she wrote down there on the pad, showing it to Alex, letting him think about what she had said as she quickly rolled over the counter as if break falling, grabbing onto Alex's shoulder, using it as a fulcrum as she rotated, landing on her feet to the best of her ability. Snatching Alex's wrist, she quickly began to attempt to drag Alex by the wrist towards the stairs as she wanted to take him somewhere that he might be able to recognize some of his past.
Alex started to protest at first but realized that it was useless... In one fluid movement he tossed the keys to one of the other bartenders. "Close up will you? I gotta do something real quick." As he was being dragged he swung his hand low grabbing around the neck of a bottle. Alex wasn't exactly sure what it was yet but it would have to do... He was in a hurry. As he was being pulled from out of the bar he gave a dramatic sigh.

Inoryu had recently turned 18 and hadn't considered checking out the scene...until now. He was curious as to the happenings of his village. He was sure he would hear shinobi and kunoichi of the Grass scattered throughout the club. He had been focused solely on his training, and completed numerous D-rank missions, he was too busy for concerts.
Out of sight of the bouncer and shinobi guards at the entrance and those shinobi guards on the balcony, he weaved through a series of hand seals. In an instant, he completely vanished from sight. He knew that not everyone would be fooled by his glamour, but if he could only sneak past the guards and gain entry, he could release the genjutsu and truly apply the notion "Hiding in Plain Sight". The only people he needed to fool were the security guards at the entrance, then he was as clear as a sunny day.
He approached cautiously, invisible, careful not to bump into anyone else approaching The Cat House, and stood off to the side at the entrance. He focused on his timing as so often was preached in Gintsuki no Seiko Mai. He visualized himself sneaking past the guards after they had admitted the next couple in. When they were approved by security, he sneaked behind them, passing the guards, and gaining entry to the club just as they did.
"Now, where to release the glamour?" Inoryu thought to himself. He would be careful to walk through the open spaces of the magnificent, aesthetic lounge as to not bump into anyone. Though he had already made eye contact with some men and women. He knew they could see him, but they returned to their social lives after glancing at his Kusagakure head band around his neck. He sensed that they profiled him and regarded him as a nonthreat.
After taking note of the guards posted at the front of the door at the top of the stairwell, he would try and locate a place out of their field of vision. He made his way towards the public bathroom and slyly slipped into an open stall where he released his genjutsu. He would then exit the stall, wash his hands inconspicuously at the sink, and enter the lounge fully visible. He felt fully present now, more aware of the sounds of music bumping from The Cat House, as well as the sound of many combined conversations at once. He worried that he appeared a bit too young, on the line of being barely passable, he thought. Though since he was already in the common room, he was confident he wouldn't be bothered as long as he didn't cause trouble.
Rather than infiltrating the Cat House, he opted to check out the less loud Suana beneath the lounge. He made his way down the stairs and into a room more suited to the quiet soul. The room was less extravagant as the lounge upstairs, but he like many others would find it relaxing due to less stimulation of the senses. He observed the lounge beside the bar, and a kitchen behind the door beside the bar. The off set, yellow walls with odd designs seemed more for the intellectual or artistic type; a sharp contrast from the head banging music being performed live in the nightclub above. The brown carpet with yellow patterns was tastefully weaved and was easy on the eyes, and the elegant bar displayed the same extravagance as the common room above. Inoryu observed the couches and coffee tables trimmed in gold that added a new dimension to the carpet, placed neatly in the few corners of the room. He approached the bar and the the bartender offered a drink. Inoryu only requested water.
Inoryu sat down at the bar, six stools away from two other men fired up in conversation. Within just a short moment, his water had been served in an ice cool glass with ice cubes bouncing around the center. He meant to stay reserved, but he couldn't help overhearing the men's conversation beside him. They had a laptop on the counter between them. "A bandersnatch?" one man asked with short black hair, cool blue eyes, dressed in casual clothes. The older male, dressed in a trench coat over his casual wear replied cooly, "A gargantuan nightmare of claws and fangs. He tapped a few keys on his laptop and audio began emanating from it.
"Welcome...everyone. To the Grand HUNT!" The Festival Crowd would explode with roaring cheers as the Grass Hunter began her explanation of the Hunt for those watching on screen, "I am Salihn Dara, Huntress of the Grass village. I will be the Judge of this competition, and I was the one who procured all the creatures you will be hunting today."
"Hey, have you seen this?" The man asked. Inoryu glanced at him and discovered the man was refering to him.
"No, I haven't," Inoryu replied, "What is it?" "Festival of the Hunt, do you live under a rock? As a ninja of the Grass, you have a lot to gain from watching this. Come have a look," the man in the trench coat beckoned. Inoryu agreed and walked over to the man and his screen. He watched as Salihn Dara explained the event.
"The Grand Beast will be released, on my command, maybe it's because the field of prey has thinned out, or maybe just because I got bored, who knows!!" Salihn dara said the last bit with a bit of flare as she looked towards the Ninja recording all of this from on top of the building.
The laptop held Inoryu's attention, the idea of the event fascinated him. The announcer Salihn Dara, Huntress of the Grass, continued, "There are ANBU stationed throughout the forest, they are there to stop you from killing each other, BUT they are not there to keep you alive. If you are defeated by one of the creatures. Unless you ask for physical assistance you will not receive any, and if you die before you can ask for help? Well, we will send our condolences to your closest relatives. Please note, If you receive assistance from the ANBU for any reason, then you will be disqualified."
The man in the trench coat moved his finger over the touch pad and clicked it to skip ahead, "The Great Hunt Begins now.... START!!!!" Once she said "Start" the crowd would explode into roars of cheers once again. The screen displayed images of each contestant that was currently there as well as the list of monsters they would be hunting and scores thereof. The Hunt was finally starting, and the bustling crowd cheered.
Inoryu was enthralled as one of the contestants, Karui Kibo, shot a giant lightning jutsu in the shape of a hydra and yelled with passion, "Come at me beasts show me what you can do, because I can do better than you can even think is possible!"
"The point of the competition is to track the creatures, not frighten them. Idiot," the man in the trench coat chuckled and the man in casual clothes behind him couldn't help but smile. Inoryu watched the screen of the laptop intently. He was no tracker but he could figure that a lightning jutsu that massive and loud, shaped as a Hydra no less, would scare away any unsuspecting creature.
"This guy on the other hand, Hamura, is interesting. He had tracked every creature he came across successfully," the man in the trench coat divulged, "But when it came to the actual killing of the creatures, Ryutatsu took over. What Kibo did made the hunt more difficult for everybody." The screen displayed the damage caused by the lightning jutsu that tore through several of the houses and abandoned buildings.
"That was one hell of a jutsu though, the most incredible jutsu I have ever seen," Inoryu commented. The men around him nodded their heads in agreement. The implications of the jutsu, the range and power of it, were just massive.
"The tracks became mixed up with the creatures panicking from the jutsu. Hell, if I saw a lightning Hydra, I would turn the other way too," the man in the casual black shirt joked.
"They partnered up right away," the man said. "All but one," the man in the trench coat replied.
"Shiki Senri," his friend replied.
"It seems we have lost sight of two of the contestants. Let's see if we can't spot them, a little later," the Announcer said. Inoryu recognized the jutsu as Shiro and Yaromir vanished, "He used a glamour," Inoryu thought out loud. The men glanced over at Inoryu with peaked interest and Inoryu continued, "And I can't be completely sure due to the circumstance, but I think that Shiro is under an enchantment."
"Hmm...That would make sense because whenever they approached a creature, it was Yaromir taking all of the points. Nice catch. I'm Hikaru," the man in the trench coat said as he offered his hand to Inoryu. Inoryu would introduce himself and shake Hikaru's hand firmly. Hikaru's friend introduced himself next, "Amashi." Inoryu watched as the one known as Shiki Senri lobbed out the grenade into the herd of carnivorous sheep. The beast and the sheep near it never stood a stance. The Grenade that Shiki let fly, exploded in a 15 meter radius and the explosion was followed by 5 more explosions of equal damage, that covered the same range.
The Carnivorous Sheep and the rest of the sheep and lamb there fell to the might of the explosive. Those closest to the middle were reduced to mush, while the bulk of the herd on the outside was killed by blunt force trauma. The explosion was also completely silent, only the sound of flesh splashing against the ground and the smell of fresh blood filled the air, surely to attract predators to the area.
"OHHHHH HOOOOOOOOO, and Shiki Senri of the Hidden Cloud has drawn first Blood!!! Taking down the Carnivorous Sheep and it's whole herd to boot. Looks like there will be plenty of Lamb chop and Mutton tonight Folks," Salihn Dara announced.
The screen changed its focus to Hamura, Shoko and Ryutatsu: the group of young Cloud ninja found themselves face to face with the Pleistocene Deer, three of them, not far off from where they were. Kibo on the other hand was trying a different tactic other than a giant lightning hydra; he split into 30 clones to search an destroy. "Another impressive jutsu," Inoryu commented.
"Impressive jutsu, but he runs into some bad luck," Hikaru stated, "And here comes the alligator."
The alligators large maw snapped out to get a mouth full of the boy. The Colossal 120 foot long mammoth of an Alligator would devour Kibo in chunks, "OOOOOOOOOOO A Wild Giant Alligator has appeared!!!! How will the Barn Slayer respond to this seemingly karma-tic turn of events? Will he become Alligator feed!!!!!!!?!?!!? OOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
"Shiro and Y on the other hand stumbling on tracks of wild dogs," Amashi said, "Shiki begins a ritual, and the two other players that arrived, Zuruel and Yunka stumble on nothing."
"Now would be an appropriate time to use that lightning hydra jutsu," Inoryu commented as he awed at the pure size of the alligator. Hikaru and Amashi agreed. They might have laughed if they felt apathy towards the boy Kibo, but they couldn't. He was in a very dangerous situation.
Inoryu watched the laptop screen portray the ninja's different situations; Hamura, Ryutatsu and Shoko had begun eliminating the deer. Y would lay waste to the pack of dogs. The camera displayed Shiki performing a ritual, while Zuruel used a clone to widen his search, Yunka stumbling on some tracks, and Kibo managing to escape the initial attack of the large alligator. But Kibo's next course of action, while valid in theory did not take into account the massive size of the beast. The tree he climbed was neither far enough away, or strong enough to resist or stop what would come next. The large alligator's head snapped over to where the boy was running, it's long powerful body shuffled across the ground faster than what should be fair for such a large creature. As soon as the boy began to climb up the tree, the giant alligator did what made it such a terror to boats that venture into it's territory. With a mighty swing of it's massive tail it crushed the tree trunk into splinters.
The tail broke the tree just as the boy placed down his foot. This would cause the boy to lose his balance, as he and the broken tree fell back to the ground. However, below him soft earth was not waiting, it was the wanting snapping jaws of the Giant gator.
Inoryu watched intently as Kibo tried to fight off the gator. The young ninja's gambit would not work. Not only did the clone not have the speed to make it to him in such a short amount of time, but it did not have the ability to jump high enough to serve the function the boy desired. Thus his fall continued as he careened into the snapping jaws of the gator. The massive beast's jaws dug into the boys spine almost biting him in 2. The Giant Gator lurched his head back as it swallowed him whole. His body slid down the gators throat, motionless.
After devouring the young lad the Gator simply turned around and began to walk away, as it had gotten the scent of something else. He shimmied back into the water and began to swim off. It massive size demanded that it always be in search of more food. The people back at the Festival let out a horrified gasp. They all knew that death was possible, that's what made the Great hunt interesting, but none of them expected to actually see it. "My goodness... I seems we may have our first causality. How awful..." Salihn commentated.
Suddenly, Inoryu was moved from his awe, "Why?! Why didn't he call for assistance from the ANBU when he needed it? So what if it means disqualification?" Amashi and Hikaru glanced at each other before returning their eyes to the screen.
Shiki vanished after the completion of his ritual. Hamura, Ryutatsu and Shoko on the other hand would soon find themselves in the presences of five Yakatani. Shiro and Y are still invisible and their hunt couldn't be displayed, newcomer Kinzoku found himself ignored by Shiki, and Shinzo found nothing. However, he would near the faint sounds of a large river, and the movements of a large beast within that river. Perhaps there would be something there for him to kill and finally put him on the board. Or many it was just a wild goose chase. Who knows?
